- Capable of carrying one of the following compliments at a time:
- Transporter: The HAAT/v is designed to carry vehicles to and from the battlefield with ease, being capable of carrying AT-TE sized vehicles and smaller
- Armored: The HAAT/v is well armored and defended, being equipped with a variety of countermeasures to ensure it is able to deliver its cargo intact
- Modified: As a modification of the HAAT/i, the HAAT/v is relatively easy and inexpensive to manufacture in large numbers
- Firepower: Though not as heavily armed as the HAAT/i, the HAAT/v is still capable of delivering heavy firepower toward anything that might oppose it
- Modernized: The addition of N&Z Umbrella Corporation components and B.A.M.T.O.P ensures that the HAAT/v will continue to have a lengthy service life
- Specialized: Unlike the HAAT/i, the HAAT/v is designed to carry vehicles, greatly limiting the amount of soldiers it can carry onboard to six in total
- Cumbersome: Even more so that the HAAT/i, the HAAT/v is a slow and cumbersome dropship, making it especially vulnerable to enemy starfighters
- Constraints: The HAAT/v can only carry AT-TE sized vehicles and smaller, being incapable of transporting AT-AT sized vehicles
- Exposed: Any vehicles that the HAAT/v carries underneath it remained exposed to planetary elements and incoming fire
- Underarmed: Compared to the HAAT/i, the HAAT/v is not as well armed, lacking the HAAT/i's Concussion Missile Launchers and Beam Cannons
The HAAT/i Imperial Assault Gunship has proven its worth time and time again in Imperial service, playing a crucial role in supporting ground troops and transporting infantry to and from the battlefield. Yet, as potent a starcraft as it is, the HAAT/i possesses a noticeable flaw: it is unable to transport vehicles within the confines of its cargo bay. Wanting a starcraft smaller than the NCE-131/c Heavy Dropship that could still carry vehicles, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant decided to modify some of its existing HAAT/i gunships into HAAT/v gunships.
The modifications done to the starcraft were relatively simple: the cargo bay was opened up and the fuselage of the starcraft was extended to allow it to accommodate carrying vehicles underneath. Powerful magnetic docking clamps enable the HAAT/v to securely carry various models of vehicles without having to worry about them falling off the starcraft mid flight. Each HAAT/v can carry two AT-ST sized vehicles or one AT-TE sized vehicle at a time, though the gunship is unfortunately incapable of carrying anything as large as an AT-AT.
Furthermore, the HAAT/v's armament is somewhat different when compared to the HAAT/i. The HAAT/i's Concussion Missile Launchers and Beam Cannons were replaced with NZ LC-2A Laser Cannons and an NZ ARD-1 Mono Type Point Defense System, as the HAAT/v is no longer expected to engage in fire support operations like the HAAT/i is, though it is still capable of doing so. Nonetheless, the HAAT/v is really designed to simply drop off its vehicles and leave the field of battle, and it was decided that those particular weapons would be better used elsewhere, hence why they have been removed and replaced from the HAAT/v.
