Oh yes, in the end, the question arose, what the woman already knew was going to happen, when she saw the man. What to say? That the NIO and GA tortured her every day, for more than a year while she was in captivity? She didn't want to save the TSE, it seemed she did, but the woman's ultimate goal was to protect the galaxy and to protect the Empire.

"Nothing. In their eyes, I was none other than someone who supported the Sith. It didn't matter that I was just using them as bastions to protect the rest of the galaxy." she said honestly.

This was said earlier by the Eternal Empire, as well as by the fact that the covenant would have ended sooner if everyone had united against Bryn'adûl. But that didn't happen. Since then, it has been discovered that the person who detonated the quantum bomb is a member of the Maw, Tegan Starfall Tegan Starfall . What to say, what to say…

"The Alliance waives the original punishment, in return I promised not to talk about what happened during the year while I enjoyed their hospitality." she said in her usual cold voice.

That was perhaps the most diplomatic response, after all, the woman has always been discreet. After that, she looked at Jairdain Jairdain .

"How's the sequel going, Master Ismet? I guess what we just discussed you should also be discussed with the Jedi Council before giving us an answer, right?"

Settling in, she made herself comfortable enough to listen to the back and forth between everybody. Even being so kind as to keep from making subtle faces at the commentary some made. Outward appearances she appeared demure and proper, though inside she was quietly replaying a song in her head when Ingrid asked a telepathic question.

Had she not already become used to the channel of interaction, she might have winced or jerked at the sudden voice. Instead, her hands were kept neatly folded in her lap as she kept her attention fixed on whomever was speaking at the given moment while she replied.

~ Feeling fine so far. Tables are tricky is all. ~ The telepathic response was short, with a bit of humor at the end as her hands moved with practiced grace to rest on the edge of the table. It was an awkward length with which they rested, as though a small child had joined the adults table on pazaak night to watch.

After a few moments of lingering, her hands moved back to her lap without much fuss aside from the movement.

With so many people present, it was expected the meeting might get derailed a little. So Jairdain accepted the side conversations as part of the whole. She didn't interrupt what was going on nor did she participate in them. At least until Jax spoke up and addressed the Empress.

While she knew he was in pain from the injuries he received on Coruscant and she did not want to make him feel any worse. Listening to his question, she inwardly groaned a little. Nothing of this feeling crossed her face though and she kept it buried within her mind and body. It would be something she would address with Jax at a later time. This was business that should have been kept more private and between the two of them. Not out in the open and at this meeting. If she could have stopped her lover, she would have.

Luckily Ingrid provided an answer and all she could do is hope it was enough of one for him. The red-head returned her attention to Jairdain and asked about getting an answer from the Council. Indicating, the information she just heard would also be included in that upcoming meeting.

"When we have finished here, I will be going to speak with them, Empress."

Using the Force to glance between her and Jax, they would hopefully realize she wasn't going to just excuse herself to talk to the Council.

"We can provide you rooms to stay in while you wait if you wish."

Dr. Harris smiled as Jairdain Jairdain accepted her offer of scientific assistance, "This would be a great boon for my work, the amount of first hand experience the Silver Jedi have in dealing with the Bryn'adul would give them insights that my own departments still lack, and I hope our own insights, dealing with them as a biological entity rather than an the terrifying enemy they are will also help frame your own work." She felt that sometimes, being focused on the creature as an enemy can detach you from the true workings of the creature. From a purely genetic standpoint, the Bryn were beautiful and complex creatures, they just happened to be genetically engineered super soldiers as well. She would keep these specific view points to herself though, the amount of blood that had been shed would make it difficult to sell the Bryn as anything but monsters.

"I assure you - my experience is rather limited. I'm afraid my expertise is merely how this... "macro-fauna" reacts to... extreme radiation burns."
Turning to the Admiral, "You sell yourself short, a commander fighting something like the Bryn has to become an expert in not only weapons and tactics, but their anatomy, their behaviour patterns, whether a particular type of 'radiation burn' will send them into a rage of kill them. Those same fauna are remarkedly similar to the Flora that I predominantly study, and knowing how to defeat them could make removing their giant command and terraforming beasts much clearer." Speaking of her own subject matter she felt more of her confidence growing and she was able to make her voice heard amongst the others.

Intruductions had gone well and she was excited to get into the actual summit, her Plushee would record things so if in the event, her demo version of the Maniac chip failed, she would have a log of the event. She was finding the demo rather unobtrusive, she hadnt yet had any of the Aural links simulated, but the optic projections were fine and she found she could see through them quite well enough and the suppressed mode completely cleared her visual field. This would be important information to note before she got her full implant, so she jotted it down.

It was strange that the Galactic Alliance would waive a punishment for a high profile criminal so easily. It would've been all over the Holonet, but Jax let it slide. After all he did consider Ingrid a friend who had good intentions despite helping the former Sith Empire. There was definitely something off with Ingrid's explanation and Jair's internal groan did not help matters. Did she know something about the outcome of Ingrid's trial? Jax hoped for Jair's sake that she didn't know otherwise the Galactic Alliance would be very upset at the fact that the SJC were conversing with a criminal. It could be tantamount to war if they weren't busy fighting the Brotherhood of the Maw.

"A reasonable explanation," Jax said his hands clasped behind his back at a soldier's attention. "I'm glad that you're a free woman lady Ingrid."

He had a feeling that Jairdain wasn't happy with what he just said.

Ingrid soon finally got an answer from the woman, to which she nodded. She actually expected that there would not be results here as quickly as in the case of the CIS, where they immediately met with the ministers and the Vicelord. Everything had a place and a time; the Jedi apparently preferred the more bureaucratic, slower method. So now they had to adapt to this. The Empress was not bothered by all this, she was also patient; she found only bureaucracy confusingly slow several times.

"I fully understand and thank you for your reply!" she said.

She then looked at Jax; she had only one little problem with captivity, for she could easily convey information to the Eternal Empire through the Shadows, though she received nothing. Ingrid did not violate the conditions of her captivity. As for perpetual exile, from there she could have escaped even more easily. It would have been an interesting game. The red-haired woman nodded at the man.

"It is easier to take care of the Eternal Empire when I am present. The worst part of the captivity was that I couldn't work." she said in a still cold voice.

Those who knew her could know that it was no joke, a woman was a workaholic, if she could, never take a single day off; every day from early dawn to late night Ingrid dealt with the affairs of the Empire. She looked at Jairdain again after offering the suites. It’s always more comfortable than being on a ship. Last but not least, being accepted is a sign of trust.

"Thank you for your offer, Master, we are happy to accept. I don’t think we have anything else to discuss right now unless someone wants something else." she said.

Listening to the thanks from Trinity, if she could have read the internal thoughts of the woman...she would have actually agreed with her. The Bryn were a wonderful race and were rather mysterious to many. A combined endeavor to research them and anything else should only work in their favor.

Again allowing the various conversations going on between the others gathered, her attention was on Ingrid. Though she did give half an ear to what was being said. She would have a talk with Jax later about how poor the timing was for his questions earlier. At least, it appeared they were taken in stride by the Empress. She answered them to his liking and now Jairdain hoped the subject would be dropped by him.

While the tone used by Ingrid could have been taken as being cold. Jairdain could tell it was more focused on business and not making a display of emotions. Something the diplomat could totally understand.

"Master Thio, will you please escort our guests to their quarters?"

If he had spent much time in the Embassy, then he should know where to take them. After they had all left, she left to address the Council on what had been discussed and return with the decision once it had been made. Having a good feeling about this, she was confident they would agree to the scientific work and trade with the Eternal Empire.

Ingrid sounded more chipper than her usual cold self though she was most likely putting up a front for negotiations. Jax wondered what the Eternal Empire was offering to the Slivers. Whatever it was though, it was enough to prompt Jair to hold this meeting behind closed doors. The only mistake she made though was to invite Jax: A Jedi from the Galactic Alliance to help oversee this.... get together. He didn't know if he should report this to the NJO. Things like this was why Jax did his best to stay away from politics, as a Jedi who was raised by both the Silvers and NJO he hated the fact that he had to choose. It didn't help that his lover was one of the Grandmasters of the Silver Order. Jax didn't want to betray her trust, the best he could do is to let things play and pray it won't blow it up in the Silvers.

Jair was gifted at diplomacy, she excelled at quelling incidents before they become worse. Still, having the knowledge that a faction which the GA distrusted is meeting with one of their close allies is enough to arouse suspicion. Jax hoped that Jair was cautious with this, the GA had enough on their mind with the upcoming war against the Brotherhood. "Very well Master Jairdain," Jax said turning to Ingrid. "This way ladies and gentlemen, I'll show you to your rooms."
