STANDARD FEATURES
This ship retains all of the military-grade features of its class, notably:
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • Powerhouse: The FIV Resurgent is an offensive and defensive powerhouse, fitted with a staggering array of weaponry and shielding, to maximize its destructive capabilities and survivability in combat; a versatility of weaponry is an understatement for the vessel.
  • Beams: The FIV Resurgent has destructor beams installed, which are capable of dealing very high levels of damage to some of the most durable materials, even as individually firing emplacements.
  • Space Or Ground: The FIV Resurgent has been equipped with several ventral orbital autocannons, which are recessed into the ventral hull when not in use, that are capable of extensive damage to even heavily protected targets and can be rotated to fire at broadside configuration.
  • Watch It Go: The FIV Resurgent is capable of moving faster than other vessels of its size, through a combination of technologies designed for the purpose, allowing it to perform maneuvers not typical of a Super Star Destroyer.
Weaknesses:
  • Support Me: The FIV Resurgent is a powerful flagship, but it requires a rounded and supportive fleet to overcome its shortcomings.
  • Single Beams: The destructor beams are individually spaced emplacements across the FIV Resurgent and are unable to be consolidated into a stronger variant, due to placement and lack of composite relay.
  • In or Out: The FIV Resurgent has guardian-class shielding available, however in order to use physical resources - such as its starfighters or the orbital autocannons - those same shields must not be active.
  • Repulsorfields: The emergency repulsorfield shell generators can repel mostly any physical object away from the FIV Resurgent, to a radius of 1km from the hull, but this also includes friendly physical objects - such as support craft, fleet vessels, etc - and due care must be used on activation.
  • At A Cost: Having extensive weaponry, shields, maneuverability and speed comes at a cost to internal space, which has significantly limited the hangar space of the vessel and limited the starfighter and support craft availability it has.
  • Blind Spots: Like most conventional Star Destroyer designs, the stern lacks dedicated weapon defenses, leaving it less defended than the rest of the vessel; as such, it requires support from other vessels and starfighters to compensate.
  • Hyperspeed: Despite having a very fast hybrid-hyperdrive, specifically made for the FIV Resurgent, it must slow itself to maintain fleet hyperspace travel formations.
  • Energy Hungry: The more specialized systems of the FIV Resurgent require considerable power to utilize and as a result must be used individually to avoid damage to the vessels power reactors.
Description:
The FIV Resurgent is a vessel of impressive size, armament and defensive systems. The First Order commissioned the Super Star Destroyer for use within their navy to be commanded by officers appointed by High Command. Not only does it boast numerous Chiss-designed advancements to weapons, defenses, systems and components, but it uses the hybrid-hyperdrive for incredibly accurate microjump capabilities. With a plethora of weapon emplacements, powerful shielding, reinforced structuring and hull plating, it is a force to be reckoned with. Yet, like most Star Destroyer designs, there remains some defensive shortcomings.

In order to successfully utilize its weapons and shielding to full effect, specialized systems must be used individually to avoid overdraw on the reactor cores. Additionally, the Guardian-class shielding is incredibly powerful, able to deflect both energy and molecular damage; yet, in order to use its full arsenal, the FIV Resurgent must not use that same shielding, to allow internal mass through. The emergency repulsorfield shell generators also serve as an emergency repulsive measure, which has power enough to turn away even asteroid-sized objects - however, it is indiscriminate of what physical matter is repulsed, which can include friendly vessels if care is not given on activation. In order to correct power draw, the FIV Resurgent was required to sacrifice internal space, with the hangar bays being significantly limited; this has resulted in a basic complement of starfighters and support craft.

The FIV Resurgent boasts a range of internal systems, safeguards, facilities and functions expected for a vessel of its size to operate. Biometrics, trackers, holosystems, encryption and other military-grade options help to preserve the functionality and security of the starship, while a comprehensive beltway system throughout allows for rapid personnel movement. Dedicated crews work at thousands of stations, emplacements and sub-levels, and a secondary bridge located inside the vessel itself serves as a precaution to the external bridge being destroyed. It also has technological enhancements thanks to collaborative efforts of Chiss technicians in the First Order.

Of the specialized systems, there are several of note:

The grav trap sensors assist in detecting stealthed vessels, by utilizing mass shadow assessment to determine if an object is in a portion of space, but isn't visible. Combined with reconnaissance droids and space-dust dispersion pods, the FIV Resurgent is very capable of overcoming a number of advanced cloaking technologies. Another addition is the inclusion of heuristic and cognitive modules and systems provides a range of support for fleets; and the inclusion of dedicated data processing and tactical analysis computing systems allow for far improved operations efficiency. That large amount of data is then fed through a battlefield holographic control interface, where analyzed and accordant data is then sent to targeting computer linkup helmets on gunnery and sensor crews - and allows them to shoot better, faster and more accurately.

The inclusion of destructor beams has further increased the damage potential of the FIV Resurgent, as it can fire high powered, persistent energy at enemy vessels. On top of that, the ventral-placed orbital autocannons are capable of rotational positioning, when active and not recessed into the hull, allowing for broadside firing solutions on similar trajectories to bottom-most weapon emplacements. These weapons systems, and others, have been kyber-enhanced to further increase power, though at a higher power output that is - again - compensated for with a diminished internal space.

Finally, the directional interdiction generators allow for a number of disruptive options, with varying positioning and activation settings. There is also the activation capable predator interdiction drive, which utilizes all the combined generators of the FIV Resurgent to create a large radius that slows all starships in range - though, again through indiscriminate targeting, this function includes both enemy and friendly vessels.

When it comes to the advanced hybrid-hyperdrive, the engineering teams constructed larger units well-suited to propel the FIV Resurgent into hyperspace easily, simply and efficiently. The hyperdrive is capable of incredibly smooth transitions in and out of hyperspace, as well as having dedicated advanced systems for microjump calculations and executions. Combined with the vessel's HIMs integration and enhanced navicomputer, it is able to perform some impressive microjump strategies. Because of the larger size and more powerful outputs, the hyperdrive has reached faster speeds than the other smaller vessel hyperdrives; yet, in order to remain within fleet formation, the FIV Resurgent must go at a slower hyperdrive setting so as to remain with the vessels under its command. Though when moving independently the FIV Resurgent can utilize its full hyperdrive speed.

The FIV Resurgent is a very powerful flagship, aimed to bring a fleets worth of weaponry to a fight; however, due to the spread of specialized systems, and the subsequent power requirements, the FIV Resurgent is diminished in other areas that require consistent fleet support to overcome.

This is a very nicely put together and detailed submission. However, there is just one issue that jumps out at me that I'd like to deal with.

The Destructor Beams.

According to the Wookie:

"A destructor beam was a ship-mounted weapon that was essentially a very powerful turbolaser and close to the destructive potential of a superlaser." (wookie)

This is a weapon that is almost equivalent to a superweapon by the definition provided by wookie itself. While I understand that you aren't intending for this to be classified as a Superweapon, it could very easily be scaled up to be seen as one in this submission's current form. Are you looking for it to be a Composite Beam Laser, or the Destructor Beam specifically?

John Locke John Locke Added specific wording to the strength as well as a weakness that states that limitation specifically.

Hope that works!

Also just fixed a spacing error, mobile editing bleh.
