DESCRIPTION
Powerful illumigrids capable of operating in the infrared spectrum, able to be utilized as alternative communication method in or out of combat when standard communications are jammed or unavailable. Those capable of seeing into the infrared spectrum can see the light flashes or patterns, as well as appropriate scanners or sensors.

Sizes vary depending on needs, with military vessels tending to have several hundred across various parts of ships, to avoid losing all the illumigrids to damage in one area.

All in all, a simple method of overcoming communication obstacles.
