SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: Fort Derik'hur
  • Classification: Military Base
  • Location: Talus [Derik'hur Highlands]
  • Affiliation: Final Dawn
  • Population: Heavy
  • Demographics: The vast majority of the population of the Fort Derik'hur is primarily comprised of both military and auxiliary personnel, in addition to housing a small minority of civilian labourers and prisoners held within its detention facilities
  • Accessibility: Given the massive size of Fort Derik'hur and its namesake, one can easily find the military base if they know what they're looking for, although access to the facility is severely restricted to approved Imperial personnel with a shoot-on-sight policy in place to ensure the continued secrecy of the military base. The base itself is located as far as possible from most settlements and cities on the planet, ensuring its continued secrecy and preventing the planetary government from being aware of its existence. Fort Derik'hur is heavily guarded given its importance to the Final Dawn, which maintains a strong military presence on the site.
  • Description: Fort Derik'hur is a major Final Dawn military base located on the world of Talus within the Corellian System. Before the collapse of the Galactic Alliance, it had once been a major Corellian installation as a security base and training facility for the vast Corellian Defence Force. Still, with the collapse of the Alliance and the subsequent dissolution of the Corellian Confederation, it was left abandoned. Now revived by the Final Dawn, it serves as the Final Dawn's forward base of operations in the Corellian System, housing a large contingent of Final Dawn forces. Featuring several hundred kilometres of open space, forests, mountains, hills, and open fields, along with entertainment, leisure areas, hangars, firing ranges and other miscellaneous military structures, it serves as the Final Dawn's primary means to keep the Corellian System contested and ensure that a Second Golden Age for Corellia will never happen.
POINTS OF INTEREST
The BarracksThe comfortable, multi-room living spaces once used by CorSec personnel have been entirely gutted to maximize troop density. The Final Dawn has since converted the sector into high-capacity, utilitarian barracks lined with rows of cold durasteel bunks, weapon racks, and integrated biometric gear-lockers. It is organized strictly by unit designation, designed to house hundreds of frontline troopers, conscripts, and security personnel under harsh, militarized conditions with zero emphasis on personal comfort.
Derik'hur DamA massive hydroelectric structure spanning a critical mountain canyon in the highlands. Under Final Dawn control, the dam has been heavily fortified with surface-to-air laser batteries and point-defence turrets to protect the base's primary power grid. The internal control rooms have been retrofitted with Imperial-grade shielding, and a permanent sub-garrison monitors the surrounding canyon.
Advanced Shooting RangesThe complex holographic training decks have been repurposed into live-fire and advanced tactical weapon testing ranges. The Final Dawn uses this sprawling facility to push their infantry through brutal, high-intensity marksman qualification courses. The ranges feature variable environment simulators, pop-up pop-down kinetic targets, and long-range ballistic corridors designed to train troopers in both standard blaster handling and heavy specialized ordnance under simulated atmospheric strain.
Training FacilitiesOnce the sprawling center of the base, the Reach has been transformed into a massive, multi-tiered combat training ground and vehicle staging area. The flat tarmac and hangar aprons are now used for heavy armoured division drills, mechanized walker maneuvers, and massive infantry formations. Surrounding assembly areas have been built up with physical obstacle courses, close-quarters combat mockups, and command observation towers where officers can oversee large-scale war games.
Fire Base MirandaThe premier forward outpost protecting the outermost perimeter of the Derik'hur Highlands. Strategically positioned on an elevated ridge overlooking the main valley approaches, the Final Dawn has reinforced Miranda with heavy defensive walls, early-warning sensor arrays, and a battery of anti-orbital artillery. It acts as the primary staging point for the base's patrol units, constantly cycling scout troopers on speeder bikes and light walker divisions to suppress any local resistance before it can reach the main base infrastructure.
Underground TunnelsLocated underneath Fort Derik'hur are a collection of underground tunnels connecting all the main facilities of the military base, including the large hidden underground hangar allowing for rapid transit between facilities and allowing Imperial forces to be rapidly deployed across the base in the event of an attack or enable Imperial personnel to transfer to the INV Defiant for off-planet evacuation quickly.
INV DefiantHidden in a massive underground hangar buried under the nearby mountains of the Derik'hur Highlands roughly one kilometer from the main site, is an entire Star Destroyer: INV Defiant, whose placement was designed as a failsafe in the event of a direct attack on the planet, ensuring that the Imperial Personnel stationed there, along with any vital information, can be safely brought off-world away from the clutches of the enemies of the Final Dawn.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
When the High Republic and the Mandalorian Empire joined forces to eradicate the last vestiges of Imperialism in the Corellian Sector, the Final Dawn moved swiftly to launch an operation of their own to evacuate key Imperial personnel and prevent their eradication at the hands of the idealistic Republic and the savage Mandalorians. After successfully extracting the VIPs and withdrawing his forces from the Belt, the Supreme Commander of the Final Dawn, Marlon Sularen, sought to ensure that the Corellians would never enjoy another golden age under Cynan Obaith Cynan Obaith and the High Republic, which would only enable them to further undermine him as they had done under Dracken Pryce Dracken Pryce and the Galactic Alliance for decades.

To this end, he moved to establish a forward base of operations within the Corellian System that would enable him to continue undermining the administration of Senator Obaith and prevent him from returning Corellia to its former glory. Taking advantage of his advanced knowledge of the Corellian Sector, Sularen chose Talus to be the site of this new forward base of operations, where an old Corellian Security Base and Training Facility could be found, left abandoned since the collapse of the Corellian Confederation.

With the High Republic distracted with their conflicts against the Sith, the Final Dawn would silently slip into Talus and restore Fort Derik'hur to its former glory while reshaping it with the traditional brutalist aesthetic long associated with Imperial Regimes. Where it once served as the core of the Corellian Resistance against the Sith and later a major military facility for Corellia itself, Fort Derik'hur now serves the Imperial agenda, serving as the Final Dawn's primary foothold within the Corellian Sector to further undermine Corellia and the High Republic.

  • Marlon Sularen is a high-ranking Imperial official currently aligned with the Imperial Confederation, the Empire Reborn and the secretive Tarkin Initiative, holding a variety of ranks and positions within all three positions and beyond.

Once a young ambitious Corellian Entrepreneur, a series of sackings and betrayals have caused him to fall into a downwards spiral that would result in him being marginalized in galactic politics before the emergence of the Brotherhood of the Maw would provide him with a new opportunity to climb back into power, leading him to his current status as one of the leading figures of Imperialism

Now, Sularen is determined to correct all the wrongdoings done to him along with all mistakes he had made in the past, ultimatly desiring to establish a new galactic order dictated by the principles of Neo-Imperialism where galactic powers such as the Galactic Alliance are nothing more then a relic of the past while also establishing himself at the head of the Imperialist Movement as the true "Heir to the Empire"

  • HISTORY

    CHAPTER I | HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Marlon Sularen was born on Corellia to Upper Middle Class Parents. From a young age, Sularen showed an interest in politics and diplomacy although his parents would encourage him to instead shift his attention towards business and commerce, believing such areas to be far more suitable for Sularen.

After completing his studies and a short stint in Corellia's local military, Marlon Sularen would venture across the galaxy establish ties and connections that would allow him to form his own shipbuilding company, SularenCo before returning to Corellia to pursue a political career with the ultimate ambition of seeking to lead his own homeworld.

However his unconventional business practices brought him at odds with the Corellian government which lead him to conspire with the emerging Grayson Imperium in order to secure a permanent position within the Corellian Sector, with Sularen making a deal with Cedric Grayson that ensured the Autocratic Jedi Lord's support of the ambitious young Sularen's desire to claim control over his homeworld.

Unfortunately, Sularen would soon have a falling out with Cedric Grayson which led to his sacking from his newly formed government in Coruscant. Seeking to regain favor with Grayson and gather more support for his cause, Sularen sought to pool in his resources to help the Imperium during the Kuati Crisis that would occur shortly after his sacking, but this would only further backfire as an unfortunate series of events would cause both the Coruscant-based Grayson Imperium and the Corellia-based High Republic to turn against him.

Facing opposition from both the Imperium, the High Republic and powerful Core World Corporations, Sularen fled into the Unknown Regions with what assets he still had with him, hoping to build up his power and one day return to the Core Worlds and seize what he believed was rightfully his : the Corellian Sector.

CHAPTER II | FALL FROM GRACE

After his self-imposed exile into the Unknown Regions, Marlon Sularen was approached by a Confederate Sith Lord by the name of Credius Nargath who offered to support Sularen in his bid to claim power in the Corellian Sector. With the aid of Nargath and a few Imperial and Corporate officials, Sulren formed a paramilitary group known as the Imperial Directorate hoping to one day invade the nascent Galactic Alliance when the time was right and take what Cedric Grayson had promised him years ago.

However before he could consolidate his power and establish a proper government-in-exile that could challenge Corellia and the Galactic Alliance, Sularen was betrayed by Credius and a group of senior officials who would convince a vast majority of his own movement to abandon him in order to form the Zweihander Union, citing stagnation and Sularen's apparent corruption. Angered by such an act, Sularen would vow to destroy the Zweihander Union and retake what he believed was rightfully from the hands of "treacherous rabble".

With no power base to return to the Core Worlds, Marlon Sularen would proceed to enlist within the emergent New Imperial Order hoping to piggyback on it's war against the Sith Empire to build his own powerbase and use it to claim control over his home sector as he had attempted to achieve with the Zweihander Union before hand. However during the early stages of the Third Imperial Civil War, Sularen ambitions for power and desire for revenge against the Zweihander Union, made Imperial High Command deem him a liability to Imperial efforts and he was eventually dishonorably discharged and stripped of his rank within the Imperial Armada leaving him with nothing once more.

    CHAPTER III | SECOND CHANCE
Left with nothing once more, Sularen would return to the Core Worlds and establish himself as the ruler of Byss, hoping to secretly seize control over the Galactic Alliance, having failed to raise a powerbase that could independently challenge them in open war. After consolidating his control within the Beshqek System, Sularen would begin forging Alliances with Imperial elements within the Alliance such as Bilbringi and Sanjin, but after the Eternal Empire's assault on Byss and his own attack on Zweihander Union assets on Xa Fel, another conflict with the Alliance would occur which culminated in a joint Corellian-Durosian attack on Byss and his ultimate removal from power as ruler from Byss and imprisonment by the Alliance.

Refusing to face trial at the hands of what he believed as a prejudiced and corrupt Alliance, Sularen escaped from prison and linked up with the emerging Brotherhood of the Maw whom he had secretly pledged his allegiance too during the height of his political conflict with the Alliance. During the subsequent Second Great Hyperspace War, Sularen would establish himself as a Mawite Warlord, eventually rising up to become the head of the Final Dawn, the Neo-Imperial sect within the Maw at the cost of ostracizing himself from mainstream Imperials which would leave him isolated and with few allies by the time the Brotherhood of the Maw would collapse after losing the war against the Galactic Alliance.

Despite his failure to establish a strong powerbase that could directly challenge the Alliance in the aftermath of the Mawite collapse, Sularen managed to establish various connections with influential individuals and organizations across the galaxy shifting his focus towards establishing himself as a major leader of Imperialism in the galaxy, now that the Empire (formerly the New Imperial Order) had collapsed, which enabled him to forge a new positive image amongst Imperials despite his past with the Maw.

For two decades, Sularen would build up his influence and ties across the Tingel Arm and the Unknown Regions establishing connections that would enable him to gather enough support to build his powerbase and once more take on the Galactic Alliance and end their so-called Era of Renaissance.

CHAPTER IV | RISE TO POWER

As Sularen continued to forge new ties and connections, a new power emerged within the Galaxy's New Territories. Darth Solipsis, the former leader of the Brotherhood of the Maw had been resurrected and in the process, established a new hybrid Mawite-Imperial State known as the Dark Empire drawing in elements of the Maw and the Old Empire to create a new power in the galaxy that would challenge it's old foes.

Despite having close ties with a rival Imperial state known as the Empire of the Lost, Sularen recognized the great potential that lied within Solipsis's Dark Empire and quickly integrated the Final Dawn within the Imperial Military and joined the Dark Empire proper, using his connections and power to ascend to the position of Grand Admiral. Having distinguished himself in early battles such as Onderon, Tython and Keera Major, Sularen would manage to rise to the position of Warlord of the Empire, securing a permanent seat within the Imperial Ruling Council and exerting direct control over the Kampe Sector as it's Governor within the Deep Core.

Having reached a new height of power, Marlon Sularen now seeks to guide the Imperial Military to victory in order to see to it that the Galactic Alliance is dismantled and the Empire victorious in the Core Wars, hoping to finally succeed where he had failed multiple times.

    STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES

    24px-Trait-persistent.png
Unyielding Warrior | Despite years of hardship marked by betrayals and failures, Marlon Sularen is not someone who gives up on his ambitions quite easily holding the determination and the willpower to succeed regardless of how many setbacks he encounters, viewing every opponent and rival he faces as merely another obstacle that stands in the way of his ultimate objective that needs to be removed.

    24px-Trait-innovative.png
Innovative Warlord | Marlon Sularen often makes use of unconventional tactics and strategies in order to gain the upper hand against his foes, making use of his decades of experience on the battlefield and in the political arena to quickly adapt to new situations and improvise when needed in order to advance his agenda and accomplish his goals even against superior odds and overwhelming opposition

    24px-Trait-wrathful.png
Wrathful Tendencies | Throughout the years, Marlon Sularen has suffered various betrayals and failures, which has led to him becoming very vengeful, often unwilling to forgive or forget past wrongdoings and holding grudges for extended periods of time until the individual or orginization he despise have been destroyed or said individual or orginization submits to his will. This however has often brought him into conflict with other individuals and can often cause him to suffer major setbacks to his overall ambitions

    24px-Trait-ambitious.png
Unchecked Ambition | Throughout the past through years, Sularen ambitions have grown larger and larger from simply desiring control over the Corellian Sector to seeking the destruction of the Galactic Alliance to wanting to establish himself as a leading figure of Imperialism. Sularen's ambitions know no bounds and as such this often results in him being distrusted by his peers and can directly leads to conflicts with other individuals and organizations over potential conflicts of interest.

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: ISS Tactical Commandos
  • Affiliation: Imperial Confederation | Imperial Security Service
  • Classification: Special Forces
  • Description: The ISS Tactical Commandos are the members of the Special Operations branch of the Imperial Security Service utilized primarily as a military police force that are often deployed to carry out a variety of tasks from providing security for high-value ISS officers, guarding prisoners held by the ISS, the extraction and/or the elimination of friendly or rogue agents and assets and the execution of high-priority operations for the ISS. ISS Tactical Commandos are often drawn from exceptional field personnel within the ISS and highly skilled personnel from the Imperial Military in order to ensure maximum efficiency in all Operations.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
STRENGTHS:
  • Elite Veterans | Each Tactical Commando are highly-skilled veterans drawn from accomplished ISS field agents and experienced soldiers of the Imperator Corps. As such Tactical Commandos possess a level of skill and experience that can give them the upper hand when facing most enemy units on the battlefield.
  • Flexible Soldiers | Tactical Commandos are trained to be extremely flexible, being able to adapt to numerous environments and situation whether it be simple tasks like law enforcement and protection or more riskier operations like manhunts, assassinations and unconventional/guerilla warfare
  • Discipline & Loyalty | With years of service to their record under the predecessors of the Imperial Confederation, each Tactical Commando unit possesses a level of discipline and loyalty that makes it extremely difficult to either break their morale or get them to defect to any side opposing the Confederation.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Hard to Replace | Because of the degree of skill and years of experience required to even be selected as a Tactical Commandos along with the extensive training required to produce new Commandos, it is extremely hard to replace each individual Commando requiring the ISS to use them with great caution and only utilize them when absolutely necessary
  • Quality against Quantity | Despite holding an extremely high amount of skill and years of experience, Tactical Commandos do not excel in conventional warfare if they find themselves outnumbered and outgunned without any sort of support.
  • Mystical Forces | In addition to being vulnerable to overwhelming firepower and numbers, Tactical Commandos are not trained sufficiently for confrontations with Force-Users putting them at a huge disadvantage should they encounter one.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
With the galaxy becoming more chaotic and rife with conflict, the Imperial Confederation would find itself facing more new adversaries from established major galactic entities such as the Black Sun and the Sith Order to smaller groups such as the resurgent Wild Space Rebellion. Having already failed to stop the growth of organizations that rose to become a threat to the Imperial Regimes he once served such as the Corporate Interests Guild, the Diarchy and the Sith Covenant, Marlon Sularen in his capacity as Supreme Commander of the Confederation's Armed Forces would begin taking steps to ensure that the next big threat to the Confederation would be put down swiftly and efficiently.

One of these steps would include the militarization of the Imperial Security Service (ISS) with resources and funds being diverted to their Special Operations division to enable it to carry out their missions more efficiently ensuring that the ISS can advance the Imperial agenda with minimal interference from hostile entities. The result of this investment would be the creation of the ISS Tactical Commando, modeled after the First Galactic Empire's ISB Tactical Units that had once been utilized to enforce the objectives of the Imperial Security Bureau against dissidents, traitors and enemies of the state.

By drawing manpower from the ISS's best field agents and highly-skilled veterans of the Imperator Corps, the first batch of ISS Tactical Commandos would be created with specialized programs being established shortly afterwards to specifically train new personnel to become ISS Tactical Commandos and further strengthen the ISS's military arm. As they continue to grow in number, the ISS Tactical Commandos now represent the first wave of the Imperial Confederation's next generation of Special Forces ready to take the fight to those who would undermine the Confederation and it's mission to bring strength, order and authority to the galaxy.
