SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • All Weather - The Adramelech is capable of operating in the void and within an atmosphere. Moreover, the jetpack is capable of independent escape from a planet-sized primary body.
  • Eclipsing Velocity - Of particular note, the Adramelech is an extremely fast and agile jetpack. This makes it very ideal for countering hostile jet troopers, allowing the operator to determine the pace of a given engagement, while leveraging the inherent agility of their physical form to perform dazzling maneuvers. Along the same vein, the Adramelech’s maneuverability is superior to most jetpacks, allowing the user to execute sudden bursts of movement in any direction to evade attacks via the agility array and the Huabing Engines.
  • Countermeasures - The Adramelech is equipped with a full countermeasure suite, giving the user a level of protection against incoming fire.
  • Aerial Firepower - For additional firepower, the user can install two missiles or two plasma rocket launchers into the armament hardpoints, turning the Adramelech into a potent aerial firepower platform.
WEAKNESSES
  • Overload - The Adramelech’s Sleg Ultracapacitors can be dangerous when overloaded with energy, with the potential to explode or catch on fire in such an event.
  • Point of Failure - When used by an organic operator, the acceleration compensators are easily the most critical component of the Adramelech. In the event that they begin to operate at reduced efficiency, typically due to damage, the performance of the propulsion system will likely need to be turned down,
  • Burn Wound - The Adramelech's SLAM module can only be sustained for a limited amount of time due to its intense power demands and potential to overheat the engines. At maximum, the system can be active for twenty consecutive seconds before it is automatically shut off, at which point the thrusters must undergo a mandatory heat discharge protocol. In addition, the SLAM puts out a lot of waste heat, making it easier to spot (and target) the Adramelech via sensors.
  • Mechu-deru - An unspoken weakness of virtually all modern technology, the Adramelech is vulnerable to the esoteric sorceries of Mechu-deru and other technology-corrupting powers. As such, a skilled practitioner of such arts can quickly disable the machine, provided that they have a direct line of sight to the propulsion system and its operator.
  • Exposed Weaponry and Long Reload - When set in a firing position, the warheads of the Adramelech's mounted missiles (if equipped) are exposed, making them a tempting target for enemy fire. The loaded warheads can be feasibly detonated by a penetrating shot, presenting a significant danger to the user. In addition, the missiles are not easy to reload, as it requires that the jetpack be taken off and reinstalled, unless another person assists with the task.
  • Big Wings - Even while folded down, the Adramelech’s wings are relatively large and will get in the way while running. They will also present an impediment if the user needs to walk through tight spaces. In this regard, the jetpack sacrifices maneuverability on the ground for speed and maneuverability in the skies.
DESCRIPTION
Built off the same derivative design of the FAE/P-02 “Phoenix” Winged Jetpack (which is derived from the ancient winged jetpack of the Clone Wars era), the the FAE/P-03 "Adramelech" Winged Jetpack is the Sith counterpart. Named after the infamous warbeast of the Sith’ari Darth Carnifex, Adramelech, the FAE/P-03 is built to live up to the brutality, savage grace, and mythical power of its namesake. Much like the Phoenix, the Adramelech is ideal for space and atmospheric use, with a top speed of 155 MGLT in the former context (boosted to 300 MGLT with SLAM) and a top speed of Mach 12 (Mach 15 with SLAM) in the latter. In both contexts, the Adramelech is at home in air-to-air and air-to-ground engagements, allowing the user to leverage their speed and maneuverability in jetpack dogfights and aerial assaults.

Of particular note, due to its extreme speed and inherently instability, the Adramelech is a considerably more demanding platform in terms of technical skill and physical strength required from its user than almost all other jetpacks on the market. Individuals have been known to tear muscles and tendons while attempting to push their bodies through the maneuvers that the jetpack is capable of. Even experienced users often come away with small aches and microtrauma. As such, it is not a standard “line” jetpack that can be issued en masse, but rather one that is almost exclusively issued to specialists who are very proficient in its use and have gone through extensive training. For this reason, new users and trainees will often start off on older, lower-end jetpack models (often the NJP-9000 or the JT-12) before progressing to the Adramelech.

However, much like the Phoenix, the Adramelech presents a severe impediment to the user on the ground. The relatively large bulk of the wings can get in the way of the user while running, even while folded down. As such, the jetpack is generally used only by dedicated jetpack troopers who fight almost exclusively from the skies or within space, rarely touching ground in the process. In addition, the missiles can present a catastrophic weakness if shot, potentially detonating the warheads. Nevertheless, the Adramelech is hoped to become a mainstay for the jet troopers of the Kainate and by extension, the wider Sith Order, giving them a marked advantage over their rivals.
