 The Second Hyperspace War has become the new existential crisis of the Empire, after facing them directly during the Annihilation of Csilla, the Empire has been at the forefront of the Galactic scale fight against the Maw, the Sith and chaotic forces across the Galaxy and continues to do following the betrayal of Darth Caelitus and the coming to power of Emperor Rurik Fel.

While the New Imperial Order had long sustained a no contact policy with the Confederacy, relations froze to nigh open

 hostility when the Confederacy intervened on the side of the Sith Empire, deploying Naval and ground assets on both offensive and defensive engagements against the New Imperial Order before pulling out of the war completely, putting them wholly at odds with the NIO.

 their deal when the time comes to reclaim Mandalore.
