Quote: "Those who want peace should prepare for war and be strong."

Still. Silence.

No one had come. In all this time of being on the planet, no one had come to investigate the signal that she was almost constantly giving off by directing the ground forces. It was seconds, mere seconds, that passed when the data-pad started chiming to let her know that she had more incoming notifications. She kept the small tablet close. It would only open with her biometrics but it was still a very dangerous item to lose. She began to get a clearer picture of the battlefield.

There were starfighter units doing a flyover of the FOB [[member="Keira Cerdulan"] & [member="Nyx N1X3"]] and the surrounding area. Silver eyes flickered over the intel and she nodded her head slowly. “Understood, Good work. Stay on them. For every Confederate we lost…Punish them.”, her brief, clipped response, would filter through the comm system to both pilots. It took her a moment to see what was happening but eventually, it clued in. She was Echani. Combat was in her blood.

She knew what it looked like to see someone shaping a battlefield.

The silvery Exarch noted that General [member="Azmodan"] had indeed landed. She didn’t know if he had taken any casualties upon entry, however, she did know that his Xarixi Corps were ready and willing to fight. Initially, she had been uncertain of the state on the ground. It wasn’t as if they could easily infiltrate when everyone was being shuffled off-world. But, every second, every minute, with boots on the ground for Tanaab meant that they were actively learning.

The Hospital that the Mandalorians seemed hell-bent on protecting had been militarized to every degree. It was no longer simply a house healing, but a bastion of strength, and a source of Pride for the Clans. It gave them something to fight for. Something to die for. Something to protect—Till the very last. If she felt like giving the leaders of the enemy any credit she would have admitted that it was pretty smart. Villanize the enemy, as if they really needed any help in that department, and then place something helpless in their way. A hospital. The sick. The infirmed.

When she tapped back into her comm her eyes were filled with steel. “Press forward General [member="Azmodan"]. Noncombatants within the secondary hospital shield should be spared, however, do what you must to destroy their offensive line. This is the largest military installation on the planet. I’ve transmitted the aerial view. Plan accordingly—don’t get boxed in.”

The Resolve had come to solidify their efforts. The great shadow of the SSD moved and parked itself directly above Pandath. Good. [member="Voph"] was doing exactly as she had hoped and provided even more data that she forwarded on to the rest of the ground forces in regards to enemy troop movements and positioning. She could see that the SSD was under fire. It was moving to a new position and no longer retained a hold straight above the city. As this happened…She could feel her child wake. The drop pod was far enough away that she could see it, however, it seemed that he couldn’t find her. So small must she be to his eyes. But, he was hers. Just like her dragons on Ryloth—[member="Garza"] belonged with her. She could feel it in her bones. “The details have been delivered to the rest of the Grounders. The FOB has received your reinforcements.”

<<I’m here…Right here.>>, she called, through the Force, to the gigantic lizard.

Srina could see him snatch enemy assets and smash them together like a youngling playing with toys. They crumpled, burning, and the white-haired came to her feet. Her presence in the Force grew while her datapad informed her that communications with the Resolve would be temporarily cut. [member="Garza"] would feel her. Just as every living thing within his vicinity would feel him. Phantom screams would drive away smaller wildlife while sentient life would have a difficult time dealing with an aura that seemed designed to drive bystanders to insanity. Srina was an Exarch, Darth Omnia, but before that, long before that, she had been known as the Dread Queen. She did not fear Garza. No matter his size, bite, or roar.

She remained silent while the lumbering creature made his way toward her. It wasn’t pretty, but, he did have the presence of mind to gather up a small yellow creature. Mercurial eyes stirred. What was with him and the little bird? He could have eaten in, crushed it, or ignored it. Instead, it seemed to follow wherever the titan went. A misplaced sense of family, perhaps?

As Garza stopped before her the Exarch allowed her body to rise with the use of telekinesis. She settled in his mighty clawed palm and waited. He lifted her, holding her at eye level, and she leaned forward to rest against the side of his snout. <<I am here.>>, Srina reassured, eyes closing, briefly, while the silent bond they maintained spoke volumes.

She wished for violence against her enemies.

Garza would grant it.

Her datapad interrupted her with two notifications. The first relayed an extraordinary amount of starfighters that had been brought to aid the Clans [member="Mittens"] and the second spoke of an incoming ship to her location [[member="Naast'ika Laaran"]]. It didn’t share a Confederate IFF. It was…Strange. The Fortressa was deploying droid piloted units to deal with the incoming waves, however, it was intense. <<It isn’t our friend. The Mechanicum Star Core has been detonated…Things in space must be difficult. We must win here so that we can support our people from the ground.>>

Our people. They belonged to Srina—And thus [member="Garza"].

Her Master was moving. She could feel his presence wrap around her like a thick, soft blanket, that echoed of the dreaming dark. He had his minions. Srina knew the feel of his power, the flavor of the Force as it passed through him, and the silvery creature closed her eyes briefly. She knew his tenants. There was nothing he would not sacrifice, nothing, he would not do to ensure the security of their nation. Dark languages rose in her psyche…

A storm was coming. It was not a metaphor. Thunder rolled…And she knew the wrath of [member="Darth Metus"] would sweep through their enemies. The Clans could hide from many things. Not from this.

Per [member="Alkor Centaris"]…The Confederates had been given clearance to land? To began employing their main invasion forces? How he’d pulled that off she wasn’t entirely sure, however, it would go a long way to securing victory if it was true. There was also news from [member="Karsan Calnov"]. He’d a punched a hole in the turbolaser network. It would make things that much simpler to advance from a ground perspective. They had breached the city shield…Srina kept up to date, however, she suddenly had her own problems.

The strange ship that had been noted had dropped low and was now circling the massive form of her child whilst she stood tall in his hand [[member="Naast'ika Laaran"]] . Not only that, however, her own reinforcements had arrived. A voice poured through her comms whilst she eyed another ship that dropped off a substantial amount of soldiers and manpower. She recognized the voice. [member="Visanj T'shkali"]. “You have excellent timing…I will use these men well.”

“Watch the unidentified ship.”, she told the soldiers, expecting, that they would have some long-range weaponry available. The two starfighters she had left began to circle around as well. If the ship looked like it was going to fire—They would fire back. “And keep a perimeter around the area. Constant comm contact.”

Beyond that…Her comms had started chattering immediately.

The shield that surrounded Pandath City had gone down. The first shield was down!

As precarious as her own position suddenly was, with an unknown ship acting like a strange, slowly moving vulture, she couldn’t help but feel a stark sense of satisfaction with their combined efforts. She helped to organize, orchestrate, but the work on the ground belonged to their troops. This was their victory.

And it would be—Victory. There was no prize at the end. No trophy. No smiling faces…But there would be a step in the correct direction for security. A foothold for a quieter, peaceable, galaxy.

The odds were flickering every moment. Srina still held faith, regardless, and fell on a typical mantra. They would push through. Depend on each other. They always did—and it always worked in the end.

Giving directions made the extreme situation, somehow, bearable. Death was never something she got used to even if she was able to keep functioning. Her head and heart were filled with the weight of it all. She could only imagine the pain of those that survived them. The loss that could only ever be filled by someone that could never, ever, return. She could not numb herself to it. She appreciated and revered life far too much to dismiss it in such a way.

Life was fragile and unnecessary pressure and burdens only made it shorter. Gianna always tried to remember that no one truly passed, but in the face of such wanton violence, such destruction, she could not help but see what everyone else did. Her mother had always held a motto: “Yesterday is gone, today will take care of itself and you can’t stop tomorrow, so it’s not worth it to stress.”

Gia couldn’t imagine that. How could today take care of itself?

How could the day handle itself when people were being blown out of the sky? Ripped, from existence, in seconds. Gianna…Gianna buried what she felt. She replaced those negative emotions with light. With memories of kindness, goodness, and love for all creatures. It helped. She settled into herself while her companion, the Neti, seemed to have been born for this. He was strong. Stalwart and unmoved. She felt the loss of life as acutely as if she had been struck…But it didn’t matter.

They needed to push on and persevere.

The flame-haired Jedi was a little startled when the Master Jedi seemed to change and grow before her eyes. She knew that it was possible for a Neti to change their shape, however, she’d never seen it before. It temporarily distracted her from the moral quandaries she was facing. Gianna could feel his voice echo in her bones, deep, where it almost made her shudder. She smiled briefly when he called her little one. It was pale. Humorless—But the static response was reassuring. “Don’t you drop me...”, she spoke, quietly, before clearing her throat.

She could do this. Gianna had trained for this. For the majority of her life—This is the defining moment of it all. Standing tall, disciplined, and sure in the face of all this darkness.

A faint pang rang in her heart that didn’t belong to her. This far away, truthfully, she blamed the battlefield at first. Especially when the shelling began. She didn’t understand what either side was doing because she hadn’t seen aerial footage but…Terror was prevalent. It welled up from every being in Pandath. Gianna could only focus on the Force. Let it flow through her—Let it be light. Let it be strong.

In a moment of clarity, she knew that the negative emotion belonged to [member="John Locke"]. A frown creased her lips while she held on to her companion while he started to run toward the smoke, however, just as they reached it something new happened. The Resolve, the SSD, was forced to move...And then? The shield that surrounded the city went down. The remaining turbolasers would have a better time hitting them due to the size that the Jedi Master had become—But it still wouldn’t be exact. “We should be able to slip through. Straight ahead.”

Gianna was an unwitting sidekick, however, she was useful. She had good instincts and a firm command on her abilities. Her eyes flickered when she heard someone [[member="Nathan Vance"]] yell for a medic. She wanted to tell the Neti to stop—To head toward someone that needed them, but, it was already too late. She could feel life-energy draining away. Would it always be like this?

Always a second too late?

…The Hospital. We should go there.”

It might have seemed foolhardy. There was a mountain of artillery, men in metal suits, mechs, Mandalorians, and all manner of insanity between here and there. Gianna could see some of it as they got close. They’d be lucky not to get turned into swiss cheese trying. Her hopeful heart had no idea that some of the patients had taken up arms. “Maybe we can end this. If we can heal the people that can’t be moved…There won’t be any reason for this war. The Confederacy can remove the threat, and the people, can escape with the most important thing.”

Their lives. Their loved ones. They could live.

“I’m sure I could secure shuttles and passage if I could get access to a comm.”

So far nothing was shooting at them, but, it was only a matter of time. In order to pull this off they would need to sneak, more or less, through two clashing armies. Gianna felt something spark in her heart. What else could they do? The CIS was moving. She could see a sea of tech, soldiers, and droids advancing under several key members. Beyond that...She could feel a storm [[member="Darth Metus"]] prickling at the back of her neck. It was unnatural. The scent of ozone was tarnished. Tainted, with brimstone. A shiver ran down her spine.

No doubt the Neti would feel it.

Regardless, her face was set firm. This was the only way.

Everything was happening so quickly. Scherezade enjoyed the very sensations of it, the song coursing through her veins. She wondered – did the other two hear it as well? That soundless music that had no notes and no words, yet could be heard within every cell of her body? It could not have taken more than a handful of seconds all together, yet to her it was a lifetime of adventure and she let the laughter roll out of her as things continued to develop around her and her battle mates.

But laughing or not, she was very acutely aware to what they were doing. She could feel Vytal jumping forward with her spear, and she could feel Marek joining her in, taking the closer ones to the right.

Scherezade laughed again. She could feel the shift in the blood's scent as it now belonged to those who were dead. The speed it was all going in kept her from being able to stop and focus to check just how many, but she knew that they were much safer in the closer radius than they had been moments ago. As her battle mates fought, the Sithling dug even deeper, bringing more earth to rise and shield them. The trio were surrounded by enemies; the least she could do was provide protection on one side to minimize the chances of one of them getting hit.

But that still left the ones who'd been cloaked, the one who's blood she had drained. Some, she knew, were dead, though now that they were all de-cloaked…

Quickly, she pulled the facial mesh of her armor up, giving her head protection within seconds as well. For all intents and purposes she was somewhat of a mermaid ninja now; or at least, that was how she'd be thinking about it later tonight, in bed with her legs kicked up and the sweet aches of battle caressing her body. She had designed her armor herself. Worked on it herself. Tested it on herself. She knew the limitations… And she knew the risk she was about to take.

They would know. Vytal and Marek would know what she was going to do, or at least she hoped so. The crescent-shaped earthly barrier would keep them safe, she hoped, while she did what her next intention was.

But of course, plans were wonderful. The problem was that they didn't always work out. For instance, such as in the case of the thermal detonator tossed at her. She'd been so laser sharp focused on preparing for the leap that she had not even noticed it until it went off, sending Scherezade through her earth barrier, breaking it down completely, and her body hurled several dozen feet forward – toward the Chulin.

Bullets were spraying all around her. Their weapons were silent, but she saw fragments of it as they whisked by her face, her head, her body. The armor she was wearing protected her, protected her from blaster, thermal, and kinetic damage. But not indefinitely. Already she could feel her body straining beneath the protective fabrics that made her covering. Nothing broken so far, nothing punctured, but still sufficiently hurt to not be able to claim completely undamaged. How long did she have before it gave in? Seconds? Minutes? Would it even? It was the first time she was wearing it to a full blown war like this.

Rising to her legs as fast as she could, Scherezade's blades fanned around her, pointy ends aimed at wherever she was looking at. It was a shame that they could not see the glow of her eyes through the mesh that protected her head, for they would have been fierce, and hungry.

"Come on, chutas!" the Blood Hound screamed as she raised her hand, turning her wrist lasers on and aiming them at the trees and wherever else she could sense the blood still alive, not really caring if she actually hit anyone or not with it, "who dares approach and take me down?! Who dares to stop shooting from a distance like motherkrakking petrified little chicken?! COME AT ME DUDES AND DUDETTES! COME AT ME!!!"

  • Scherezade fortifies the earth shield, only to be hit by Vhei's thermal detonator and fly through it, right into the loving arms of Adenn's Chulans.
  • Scherezade is hit by a lot of bullets and isn't bleeding thanks to her armor, but she can feel th physical strain.
  • Scherezade challenges the Chulan to come and fite her like men (not with those words though).

Luna couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling of exhaustion that had begun to wash over her body as she looked over the field of battle. The concussion was doing wonders on her stability, causing her to feel much more tired than she might otherwise have been. It was getting harder for her to focus, and she could feel herself having to grip the table to keep herself steady. The commander could even feel her breath becoming more labored as time went on. Reminding herself to poke Allya about adding some more padding in the helmet instead of some more fancy electronics she didn’t know how to work would be a priority after this whole affair.

It was at this moment that she felt the suit around her body, and the injection points scattered throughout her, send some sort of mixture into her bloodstream that seemingly woke her and her body up. Every bit of her felt as though it was more awake, as if she got a shot of bacta throughout her whole body. An exhausted sigh was pushed out of her mouth, shrugging the final bits of weariness out of her shoulders before focusing back onto the holotable.

At this point, the forward base of operations was about as set up as it was going to be, outside of a few minor additions she would have the engineers working on. They had their command tent set up, the medical larger tent up and running, and the anti-air turrets up and running. The other parts that could still be added were the walls around the base, a couple of landing pads, and the supply depots. Of those, Luna would like the supply depots set up first. The walls could be done eventually, but they needed to get supplies out to those in the field.

However, the thing that excited her the most was watching that city wide shield come down. She couldn’t help the smile that crossed her face, knowing what it would mean now that the mandalorians could neither hide behind their shields nor their big guns. Turning to one of the communication sergeants, there was a quick nod given before she gave the order. “The shield is down. Inform all forces to advance into the city and begin moving toward the points of contention.” He gave the commander a quick nod, turning to begin to relay the information to anyone and everyone that needed.

With her gaze turned back to the view of the battle, luna didn’t even need to look up to feel the presence of the massive humanoid alien that had come to stand by her side. Although the alien might be off-putting to some others, the redhead had come to find his presence as one that was comforting and calming, especially considering how many engagements the pair had survived together. Without looking up from the holotable, she spoke to her friend in as calm a voice as the situation would allow. “How are we looking out there Tien?”

The purple alien gave a shrug as he too observed the holotable, watching as Allya’s forces began to push into the city. The chatter over the comms of the various squad units could be heard, including the garbled mess of some that hadn’t survived too long. Pushing into the city was certainly going to be not an easy task, but luna couldn’t be too happy at the progress they had made so far vs they losses they were suffering. Tien’s response to her question was enough to break her out of those thoughts, saying, “we need to start deploying the rest of the forces down to the planet. They’re going to need reinforcements. At least Allya’s forces will. They’re already taking enough losses to warrant it.”

Grumbling a response was about all Luna could think of at the moment, but she agreed. She needed to make sure Allya’s force stayed plenty supplied and reinforced, since they were one of the main forces pushing into the city. She could see @Voph’s landing troops making their way into the objective, and there were scattered elements throughout the city as well. Still, with most of her forces deployed with Allya, there was little she could do but focus on making sure that force didn’t blink out or was overrun.

“Deploy our last two companies as close to the city as we can. Tell them to reinforce adjunct Vi’dreya’s position as swiftly as possible, and to get any injured back here. Perhaps we should set up a medical tent somewhere near the city as well..” This final thought was quickly dismissed from Luna, knowing that if they took the time to set up one near the city, it would just take men away from the FOB. No, that wasn’t something they could afford at the moment. With the decision to reinforce Allya made, she turned back to the comm sergeant. “Open a channel to my adjunct. I want to inform her of her reinforcements.”

This was a simple order, one that Luna expected to be done quickly, and to hear her adjuncts voice out of the speakers. What she didn’t expect, however, was some sort of loud, hard music pouring through the speakers. The commander practically facepalmed, while Tien could do nothing but stand there and laugh at the redhead’s frustration. “She is just a kid.” His words earned him a elbow to his armored stomach, with Luna trying to then speak over the music. “Allya, you’ve got two companies of troopers landing at your six outside the city. They are there to reinforce you. Please confirm.”

All Luna could hope at this point was that Allya had heard her, and would quickly confirm. But, as Tien had said, she was just a kid, and mistakes, such as playing music over comms, could be made. The commander just hoped that her adjunct would come home safe.

How bold.

To so willingly stand before a god, a conqueror, and speak such blasphemy so openly. The motives for the words were obvious to the Lord of Lies for being subtle was never in Veiere's wheelhouse. It never was before, and it wouldn't be now. To stroke the ego and the arrogance it was a taunt to draw his complete focus. It was typical for the Jedi Master to so recklessly charge through the breach putting him face to face with darkness, it was his recklessness that allowed the Shadow Hand to dig under his skin. In time he grew to understand the Jedi and how to push and pull, to manipulate him. It was understanding his enemy that allowed the calculating Sith Lord to break his family, to crush the Commenor Systems Alliance, and so much more. It was his inability to keep his emotions at bay that allowed Prazutis to push and pull even now. When Veiere taunted him?

He said nothing.

It was impossible to read the motives of the armor covered giant who stood next to the crumpled body of the failure Naedira. There were no sneers, no growls or laughs that escaped his lips. Even after Veiere's goading raise of the head he remained silent. But he didn't need to speak....power spoke for him. As if the smothering aura wasn't enough, as if the radiating phobis device of fear wasn't enough. A fresh new profanity manifested from around the Dark Titan as his immeasurable hatred, his boundless cruelty poured out. It was as if the physical world struggled against the very feeling. All around them the walls creaked as if they were strained against their tight frames, everything creaked and the lights all down the halls, in the rooms flickered. "Such bold words. You were always far more incompetent than I ever gave you credit for Veiere. Tell me...do you know where your children are? Young Caedyn and Loreena? I do." The Sith Lord said emphasizing the names of Veiere's children. They had done nothing except having the displeasure of being born to the wrong family. A family who had been pulled into a higher form of war. They were all marked for death. Even after [member="Yasha Cadera"] pleaded for their lives, the lives of the young before [member="Darth Carnifex"]. Even she had no idea, none. The greatest lie in House Zambrano was the benevolence of the Emperor and his winning smile. Those with the pleasure of meeting Kaine would find the humility of a ruler, filled with reason and even great kindness. But they had no idea what lurked beneath the surface. The Dark Lord didn't have to speak his will when he told his Shadow Hand of the discussion with the Infernal, and what she desired. The Black-Iron Tyrant promised that he would not spare some of the family.

But the Shadow Hand made no such promises.

Family was the weakness of the Ex-Grandmaster and family was the thread that could be pulled to get under his skin. "My how fast they've grown. Caedyn looks just like his father...and Loreena? She has the spirit of her mother. Tell me...you couldn't even protect your wife when you were her personal guard. How do you expect to protect all three of them across the galaxy from me? Do they know it was their mothers hubris that destroyed Munto City?" The Sith Lord said while his inward attention briefly turned back to Naedira. Bones were broken, splintered but they could be repaired through time in a bacta tank. She was broken but her pain was only beginning. Even as her body pushed for release she was denied the peace of unconsciousness, of death, she was spared the embrace of the Netherworld and forced to simply remain, to suffer every agony, every punishment. He spoke to her like an eldritch spear thrust through the confines of her mind, bringing madness with it "I have not forgotten about you child. Your suffering has only just begun". The Shadow Hand pulled the monstrous lightsaber off his hip and pointed it towards the Lord of House Arenais. "In time they too will kill for me...as your wife has. They will make fine butchers before the end," Prazutis said. As the lights flickered he charged towards the Jedi Master a blade the color of spilt blood tore into existence roughly six feet long. The crimson sheen cascaded over the dark armor of the charging giant, the giant that towered over him, using his full size, momentum, and immense reach to crash right into the Jedi Master.

It took everything Taozi had to keep from yelling at the pregnant woman in front of her. The stress of the CIS coming had strained the doctor's nerves, and she had to take a deep breath before speaking. Reminding herself it wasn't Beth's fault she didn't know anything. Nothing was their fault. They were medics. The Confederates were deluded, of course! A strained smile stretched upwards on Taozi's face as she stepped closer, to ease Beth to sit in a chair.

"Nothing more than you have. All of my forces are here, working. I'm not a battle strategist either, but we're safe, for now. Even with the few that left us, we're still heavily defended, just trust in the other Clans, and rest. You're nearing your due date, you should be relaxing. Anything could send you into labor, especially the stress of the attack."

Once Beth was settled, Taozi walked over to the window, and closed it, anxiety slowly building in her. In doing so, she watched as a hoard of corpses start shambling towards the hospital, as well as watching the city's primary shield go down. A wave of panic and dread washed over her, before she turned to the Clan Mortui members in the room.

"Alert everyone that the hospital is coming under attack! Put all buildings on lock down, we can not let anyone get past that shield! One of the Confederates is using our own men against us in their deaths! Make them pay!"

The sounds of explosions woke Xobos with a start. Yet, it was not the command bridge of the Roon’s Spear, that she was on. No, as her head and mind cleared, she came to realize that she was back in the same place as where her mind went to when she pulled the fear and anxieties from her pilots. Yet now it felt as though she was truly there. It wasn’t just a mental space that she was projecting herself into. Her physical body felt as though it was in this dark room, mist flowing over the floor.

Pain shot through her body as she slowly sat up, moaning as the pain concentrated it’s way into her head, as if the tendrils of pain were literally worming their way into her brain. Reaching out in the force helped nothing, in fact just serving to shoot a new shot of pain down to her core. This was, obviously, a predicament for someone that relied on the force to actually see, yet as she slowly climbed to her feet, that seemed to be the one part of the force she could still rely on without the pain.

First thoughts began to make their way into her consciousness, all culminating in one, singular thought. “What..just..happened..to me..” Her words, spoken aloud, echoed throughout the seemingly endless chamber, leaving her to wonder if there was even an exit to this place, a way to leave this part of what had seemingly become her mind and consciousness. Her voice wasn’t the only thing that echoed through this place, as each step she took reverberated with each, and every, single step.

Trying to battle back those feelings of quickly approaching anxiety, unknowing if she’d ever leave this place, and if this was to be her tomb for the rest of her life, was not an easy task. Yet, as she continued to walk, the feeling that she was being watched grew and bore into her soul. The more she walked around this endless void, the more the feeling grew, until she could see a pair of lights seemingly floating in the void, completely different than anything else in this place. But even as Xobos approached the floating lights, the anxiety grew. Something about them just seemed, off, and when she first heard the noises coming from that direction, she realized why.

“Welcome little master..we almost didn’t think you were going to wake up.” The red light spoke, seemingly from the center of it’s being, as it bobbed up and down. Xobos couldn’t help but rub her temples in an attempt to help her brain process the image better. It certainly didn’t make sense, but here it was in front of her. Her head snapped in the direction of the teal light as it spoke from out of nowhere, joining the red light in giving the Miraluka a headache out of confusion. “yes..we were quite worried.”

Letting out a breath of frustration, the apprentice looked back and forth between the lights. “I…know what you two are. But where is this, and how did I get here?” She asked, receiving silence in response, as if the lights were deliberating silently how to answer the question. It was Ambrus, to speak up first. “This place..would be, in an apt description, a projection of your mind. You tapped into the force to pull those feelings from those men, and in turn, buried yourself into the recesses of your mind.” The description did make sense, at least as much as it could to her. Still, it was incredible that something like this was even possible.

“You can come here, willfully, master. Here…your mind will be cleansed.” That didn’t sound like the worst thing in the world, and because it came from Ora, Xobos was inclined to believe it. And, although she hadn’t noticed until now, she was feeling better, and the pain had decreased significantly. Perhaps this was a place she could visit again. Still, this was a place she needed to discuss about with her master, when she got the chance.

The sudden shaking of the dark room caught the apprentice off guard, sending her falling to her feet. The lights floated above and around her, and for just a moment, the Miraluka could swear she heard them laughing. “Time to wake up, little master. Talk to you very, very soon.” These were the last words Xobos heard, before the room began to spin, and all of a sudden, everything went totally black.

------

“Commander Terrik!”

Again, the apprentice woke with a start, half wondering what would it would be like to just wake up normally for once. Her eyes quickly fell upon the V’ylin, who was still shaking her to attempt to shake the fog from her mind. Xobos quickly sat up, eyes wide, mind racing to figure out if what just happened was real, or some figment of your imagination. Ambrus’s voice, echoing through her mind as she attempted to stand, aided by the officer, quickly gave her answer. “Welcome back to the land of the living, little master. Visit again, sometime.”

That answered that, but as she came back to this reality, she realized that she was, in fact, still within a battle. V’ylin, to his credit, was still trying to make sure that she was alright. “Commander, are you able to stay in command?” She turned to him, giving a small nod, as her mind began to focus on the holotable. “Have those two corvette’s attacking the artillery group been destroyed yet?” she asked, eyes never leaving the battlefield as she attempted to take in what happened while she had been blacked out.

V’ylin shook his head, point out the two smaller red squares still harassing the HeVeSFs. “They have not. Their speed is problematic, despite the amount of turbolasers still firing at them.” Nodding slowly, beginning to catch up on what all had happened, the Miraluka began to come up with a new plan. “Alright. Have the deathstalkers focus completely on slowing those corvettes down. Fire everything they have at the corvette’s engines. And tell the HeVeSFs to continue to fire. They may be fast, but they can’t dodge seventy five turbolasers forever.”

She looked back to where the main battle was taking place, smiling lightly at seeing that one of the enemies frigates was destroyed in the conflict. Everything was still going to plan, and with the other capital ship slowly breaking down, it wouldn’t be long until the fleet was broken apart. “Fire our turbolaser batteries at the last frigate, and continue to fire everything we have at the capital vessel. Tell the Hive Destroyer to do the same. And tell all captains to continue to fire at their previous targets.”

It seemed as though everything was in order, and that the battle would soon be in hand, but suddenly a thought made her quickly turn her head back to her officer in a slight panic. Her hands gripped the table, anticipating the worst from the answer. “What has happened to grey squadron?” The officer turned, tapping on a datapad to try to find the answer. His answer was certainly one that was unexpected to the apprentice. “They have seemed..to have won the engagement. They are headed back to the fleet. There are five remaining fighters, and nine interceptors.”

Well, it seemed like whatever she did helped. And now, all she could hope was that they won this engagement soon. The longer it drew out, the longer it would be until she could provide more help to the surface.

Objective: Heal some Folks

With each step the ground beneath the massive treant shook, shuddering as the bulk of the Neti sprinted across the hills and dales of Taanab, racing towards Pandath. Death happened all around the pair of Jedi, such was the cost of war. Such needless hate, for territory, for power, expression of strength. The cost was always measured in lives, and for Orn, it was a cost that always came to steep.

But there was nothing to be done but work to end the battle quickly.

It had become clear the Mandalorians, in their desire to protect those at the hospital had converted it into a military stronghold with Pandath. Orn could feel the Force working, and he gave into its Will, letting it guide his movements and thoughts.

Bitterness and evil seeped into the atmosphere like a disease, but it was too late. Perhaps if they had stayed at the Forward Operating Base Gianna and the Neti could have worked together to stop the Sith Master of the Confederacy, but the Force had not called him to that work. If it had, his attention would not have become fixated on the Hospital the Clan now mustered around. Like tasting salt, Orn spat as the storm brewed high above.

Too late to turn back now.

His eye turned to his firemaned companion, seeking to say some last words before any conflict. “If there is fighting, turn back and find cover young one. Whatever happens next, I can always be found. You have only to look for the Light and I will be there.” The pair rapidly approached the Mandalorian lines, confederate droids and soldiers marching, assaulting the Clan at every turn. Its agents destroyed their defenses and turned them against one another.

Many justified causing death as for the greater good. Orn had found across the ages that such people only did so when they were not sacrificing their friends and family for the greater good. No, no one life was another’s to spend.

The Neti’s body began to shrink, bark and wood cracking and splintering as it gave way to release his form back to the albeit tall, but not giant, humanoid he preferred to wear. As he neared the lines, he set Gianna back down beside him so that she could jog alongside. His gait, though unchanged, could now be matched by a steady jog of someone her size, not the expressed quickness of his giant body. Staff in hand, brown hempen robes worn over his form, Orn readied for what the Force called him to do.

As he closed on the lines his voice rang out, sternness and authority tempering his tone, resolve bound within it for the Mandalorians and Confederacy to hear alike. “My way shall be made clear! Stand back and let me through.” His face bore stoic features, old and rigid but not without kindness in his eyes despite the command Orn’s speech implied.

Now he moved to see if any would stand between him and the hospital.

The giant scaly one was awake! There was a while that even Duckie had been worried about his friend, about how deeply he'd been sleeping when they had landed. It wasn't like he had thought that the lizard was dead...but when people didn't want to play that meant that something was wrong. Luckily he wasn't alone anymore, beady black eyes glanced up at the lizard before sliding over to the white haired woman who he had seen earlier. The two seemed to be wrapped up in one another, leaving the small duckling to potter about Garza's palm by himself. Well, palm was an interesting word for it Garza's hand, it was a huge gigantic platform for him to waddle around, peering down over the edge as he saw the soldiers gathering about the lizard's feet. It was only right that the mighty Quacklord have an escort worthy of his name. Duckie fluffed up his feathers, tiny chest swelling as he started down at his army. "Quack Quack Quack!"

It was a pep-talk beyond all pep-talks, moving, eloquent and lighthearted. The kind of speech he'd always wanted to be given himself, the truest job of a leader, to inspire their people. Stepping back from the edge he glanced over to the white-haired woman who was still communicating with his friend...he would call her the white one. A small nod of his head as he padded towards her, small claws tapping at the scales covering Garza's palm. It was the perfect time to move away from the edge of Garza's palm as the leviathan seemed to shake, a roar echoing as he took a step forward, and then another, turning to the city as the duckling scrabbled over to the white one, hiding between her boots as he peered out from between her legs, black eyes glancing around. He wasn't exactly scared...but it was very high and he couldn't fly...not like the ship hovering around them...that was cool...maybe one day he'd be able to fly like that. But not today, today he'd wait with the white one as the giant scaly one started towards the city. Maybe she had some worms...or maybe he could find some in the city.

The Kad rocked as the shields were rocked. He quickly called out to transfer all weapons power to the shields. They needed to survive just a little bit longer! He looked at his first officer, sighing.

"We may have to used Baradium missiles."

"What!? But we're in the blue Admiral."

"I know.... But we're still in high atmosphere. No one on the surface will even feel the shock, and we know once these shields fall, the Kad won't last another volley." The officer shook his head. Simply nodding.

"Ok. Computer, Baradium missile authorization. First Officer Mal Ingrahm."

"Authorization, Admiral Elijah Gred. Set self destruct on miss. I won't have those things even get close to planetary impact." The man then looked at his vod on the bridge. "We have to keep up the fire, but transfer all power from the turbolasers and lasers to the shield. Fire two ion, six proton." The Keros' Kad was quick to unleash a pair of heavy ion missiles, then fired off six more heavy torpedoes, while the Nebulan-B2 joined in on the assault, pouring all it's fire into the Roon's Spear. While this happened, the lone Enigma turned back on it's attackers, firing everything it had into the Core's Voyager. As this went on, the pair of Enigma's switched into boost mode to pull away from the HeVeSFs, letting their shields take what fire the Deathstalkers had, then turned back in and switched back to normal mode, firing everything they had at the Zhan's Cannon, switching their shields to double front. As this happened, the CR90s and Vipers continued to fire on the enemy fighters, and the Brawlers joined the assault on the Spear.

Just above the surface, the Viper's and Enigma were getting close to the super star destroyer, but soon noticed the squadrons of bombers. They were heading for the city.... They couldn't let them get there! The fighters and corvette turned towards them. The Enigma opened fire with her Varactyl heavy turbolasers, turbolaser, locked and fired proton torpedoes, and quad laser turrets. The Viper squadron focused mainly on the Mynock's that escorted the bombers, using their own speed and unique agility to out match the slow moving fighters.

On the ground the Gred armor continued to fire on the vehicles of [member="Allya Vi'Dreya"] 's force, now joined by rienforcements from [member="Luna Terrik"] , secure in the knowledge that everyone was either evacuated or in the hospital. The CIS and jetii probably wouldn't believe it, but they had attacked probably the only planet in the galaxy that could pull it off. Clan Tal.... This was what they did. Evacuation, relief, medical assistance. They weren't what most thought of as warriors. Mig at least saw them as that though, which gave his clan an extra bit of fight in them. The artillery turned their cannons to the point that the weapons that destroyed the shield generator originated from. The commanders of these vehicles were determined not to let them fire again, and let loose with their barrage. But the fire did stop for one person. The Force sensitive among the tank crews quickly gave the order to avoid firing on [member="Orn Pharr"] . Why? Something felt... peaceful about him. It didn't stop the fire on the others though. The only one stat stood between him and getting to the hospital. A Mando'ad'jetii, who had been playing spotter.

"What's your purpose coming here? Does it have to do with that dark force that came through?"

As this happened, the Claymore carrying Mig was interrupted by the said dark force. The one caused by [member="Daxton Bane"] . Mig almost seemed to shoot up. Ilik had given him some Bacta for the wound, but he was surprised by the quick reaction.

"There's something wrong here.... I have to... stop it...."

"What you need is to get to the hospital. If you don't, you may not make it Alor."

"As Buir said. 'Better to lose your life for many then lose many for your own." He then began to run in the direction of the dark energy that he felt.

"Mig. Mig!" The man didn't respond, simply heading towards where Daxton Bane was. He wasn't going to let the kind of Dark Side energy he felt keep going.

Aedan watched as reports came in biting back a snarl of anger as his fighters took loses now that the advanced fighters of his opponent had entered the field glaring darkly at the tactical display he barked out calmly. "Launch the Devastator MK 2's to assist our fighters. I want more power to the forward shields I have a bad feeling about what is to come. Begin evasive maneuvers and lower the solar sails they took a beating." He watched as his Alor-class closed with the Invictius the larger ships composite beam laser coming online and targeting the Alor-class causing Aedan to smirk. He turned his attention back to the fight at hand as the Dread Queen lit up its own Composite beam laser his eyes widening as he bit back a curse looking down as the reroute from the previous engagement finally went through boosting the power of his shields back to and slightly pass full just in time as space lit up with a violent light show. As the Bane weathered the storm he snarled and ordered the Aurora-class to switch targets and target one of the Whitestar-class while everyone else swapped from spreading out fire to starting to pick them off.

Valdus Bral

️ Clan Bral Alor ️| Warlord of Nellogant
Location: Pandath city, en route to the disturbance caused by [member="To'Kola Bakari"]

bralbar.png

Valdus Bral had been known throughout the galaxy and predominantly by the members of the Confederacy of Independent Systems as a mass slaver, one to rival their favored mercenaries - the Golden Company, allegedly. Though Valdus, nor any of his compatriots had ever owned a slave to his knowledge, the Confederates always declared before, after, and during how horrid the Clans had treated just about every living being on any given planet, perhaps as human shields or other villainous deeds. Well, secretly Valdus had been plotting to enslave the entire outer rim, starting with Patitite Pattuna. If Valdus could secure the allegiances of Patitite Pattuna, the galaxy's premiere elite infantry would be his to command. All of the missions and diplomacy that the Clans had been involved in, routing out slavers, researching the local flora, and celebrating in parties had been an elaborate plot to take out the established slaving cartels, gain the trust of the masses, and then to assert themselves as the planet's new overlords. The planetary governments being left to their devices and being brought in as a sort of protectorate was only one more layer of deception that the evil empire of the Clans of Mandalore had concocted to deceive the galaxy. However, the Confederates were too wily, too clever for the likes of them. They had seen through their ploys, through their deception. Was it the Force? Or some god-given intellectual superiority that fueled their righteous crusade through the outer rim territories? Valdus may never know... that nettled him. His plans, his conquest, all balancing on a knife's edge. Hopefully they would not see through the latest scheme: Appear to defend the only strategic Clans building owned by a prominent Mandalorian Clan on the planet as a rouse to actually use the Tanaabians as body shields and, if the situation arose, Tauntaun stand-ins for those cold Tanaabian nights.

His sarcastic introspective thoughts were disrupted when a barrage of explosives impacted the generator building behind him. The force of the explosions caused him to be thrown forward onto his stomach near the Tal'galaar gunships. When he got up he looked behind him at the rumble, his vision blurry from the impact. Through the smoldering wreckage that had been the shield generator room came his four mechanized units, helping [member="Ruus"] along. "Get the guard to the gunships and get out of here. Take him to a secure location, as far as possible from here." The Devastators did as they were bid, loading Ruus onto one of the gunships. The two heavy gunships then lifted off with a roar of their ion drives before zipping off at full speed, shields raised. In seconds they were out of sight, over the tops of buildings. A double bang rang through the city as they accelerated to hyper-sonic speeds. While the Tal'galaar couldn't fire their weapons at this speed, they didn't need to, they were getting out of their as their Alor had commanded and so they were gone.

Valdus watched the craft disappear before quickly making his way towards the location that the lookout had previously stated had been compromised. He was unaware of who he may face, but he knew that it couldn't be a normal adversary. As he jogged, making a loud bit of ruckus as he did so, he checked over his weapons and his suit status. Nothing had been broken by the explosions behind him, there were no shrapnel shards embedded into his armor that would prevent it working at full functionality. It was a good thing that he had been outside when the attack started and at the bottom level. Had he been hit by one of those missiles he probably would've been dead. Fate had smiled upon him this day, though if that smile would turn sour later had yet to be known to him.

Eli-Mae had been instructed to get out of the firing line of the ships that were barring down upon the group, she had moved into cover behind a house but she had not been given instructions on what to do past that, so this is where the petite redheads instincts kicked in. She thought for a moment before remembering that thing called the force that she could go to when she needed to figure out what was happening around her. She reached out with her feelings and felt the chaos happening nearer to the city so as anyone brand new to war would do she ran straight for the chaos.

The small redhead placed her blade back into its sheathe as she did she stepped out from her hiding place, in that moment the world to Eli grew quiet as she focused all of her attention on the force, it was a new concept to this apprentice but she could already use it better than most others at her level. She continued to walk on her strides consistent though the battle raged around her, without even realizing it she dodged several blaster bolts, though to those around her it would appear as if she were dancing she was merely acting as a tool of the force letting it flow through her.

Troops: Troops: Company of Dauntless Troopers (Minor Losses) (Some separated), Platoon of Dauntless Commandos (minor losses), Regiment of droid soldiers (B1s, B2s, Droidekas, Dwarf Spider Droids) (13% loses), 1/2 Crimson Fire tanks (Damaged), 3/4 OG-9 (two damaged), 4/4 AM-AT (Damaged), 4/6 AM-SVs, Assorted support troops (minor loses), 2 Squadrons of Vulture Droids (35/48)

The vehicles on the pinnacle of the rubble quickly re-positioned themselves. They moved, as more artillery came crashing down. The spider walkers quickly moved towards the opponents, their high mobility allowing them to scramble down the debris strewn area. Their concussion grenades were lobbed in the air, and their blaster cannons opened up on the leg joints of the walkers/artillery as they rushed at them to get closer. The larger tank and AM-ATs primed their weapons once more, despite the barrage. For the moment their heavy armor allowed them to survive it. But these were people dedicated to their cause as much as the Mandalorians. They remembered the monsters the Mandalorians unleashed on Eshan. They remembered the cowardly genocide on Umbara and so many other worlds. The composite lasers flared at the artillery pieces, blasting at them as the droids left behind in the rubble moved out, and marched. The B2's raised their arms, lasers firing, and wrist rockets launching at Mig's forces. B1's fired rifles, and lobbed thermal detonators as far as they could in an attempt to reach the forces. They would fight until the death, even as their armor failed. Missiles launched from the tank, and aimed at Mig's artillery pieces as well, trying to blast as many into oblivion as possible. But they were highly outnumbered on the ground. Less than ten trying to overcome nearly triple their number with Mig's forces alone.

The fighters at the shield generator banked hard, and dove towards the water. Anti-air managed to take out another three of them. However, they sped towards the rubble and buildings. As anti-air weapons flew at them, they used the buildings as cover, allowing the attacks to be absorbed by them. They were following the ground, making it hard for Anti-air to hit them. They continuously updated to the droid control module located in Allya's armor. As the fighters came in to engage them, they came from above, and took out two of them before they had time to react. The remaining scattered, and used evasive maneuvers, and insane stunts to attempt to keep them off their tails.

It was dark in the rubble of the buildings. However, as they moved towards the water, Allya knew it would get harder. It was less damaged in this part, it meant larger pieces, true, so it was easier to move through. However, the way the buildings collapsed meant it would take work getting out. As the group of soldiers, commandos and droids that could squeeze through got to the other side, the shield generator fell. It was all over the comms, they had accomplished the primary mission. The dead, while in a high number, were far less than the simulations. They had predicted it would take three times the number. As Allya moved towards a piece of duracrete that blocked them from the outside, she gritted her teeth. The girl fed on the fear, the pain, the hate and anger that she felt at these bastards. As the dark side swirled around her, coursing through every part of her body, she force pushed through the wall and they all made their way outside once more. The river was close by. If they followed the path to the south east, they would come close to the hospital where they had built their command center.

Pain wracked her small body, but she pressed onward. They stuck to the rubble, and the buildings, which made it difficult, if not impossible for sniper attacks. They moved quickly. The faster droids were moved with them, the slower droids would form a rear guard for the faster moving commandos and troopers. The support troops were ready. It was time for the next phase of their plan, to begin to pick out targets for the air support to take out. A comm rang out. “I hear you commander. Acknowledging reinforcements. They may have...trouble getting through. Primary mission accomplished, moving on to tertiary objective, as secondary is simply too hot.”

As they moved towards the hospital, sneaking between buildings, Allya realized it was under attack. Waves of undead crashed towards the defenders. She gritted her teeth. Her heart ached. Her initial instinct was to rush to the aid of the hospital, to destroy the undead assaulting it. However...She turned to her troops. The Mandalorians had chosen to make it a barracks and command base. To turn a civilian target into a military one. She knew the defenses would hold from the assault, and....she didn't have to attack it. Stick to military targets. Besides...that command center was very heavily guarded. For now, best to whittle away what they could.

Taking advantage of the chaos and confusion now prevalent in the city, her troops scattered around the buildings, the support troops held up triangulation devices. They pointed them at targets, from secure and hidden locations The primary target tagged was a cluster of 10 EL-4 Mobile Siege Artillery (Unless there is no place where two or more gather, then only a single). Along with the exact telemetry for the strike, a power increase was sent out, to get through what appeared to be a heavy armored vehicle. Next was a cluster of Mig's Arachnid-AT's, and a cluster of the Titan Tanks (Unless there is no place they clustered close together then only one). After they sent the data the Voph, and they moved quickly back behind the buildings, taking shelter.

As the fighters reported in their distress, Allya pressed a button on her wrist. “Pilots. Tagging two fighter targets, Take them out, and that monster they came from.” She sent the data to pilots closing in. She contacted the corvettes from outside, to have them begin to move towards the city with the remainder of their droid starfighters. Then, she had a group of scouts move off towards the rubble zone, to get a better look at how the vehicles were doing. It was then that she picked up the Chulans through the force. She called the scouts away from the main group, to hide in the buildings. The group set up various devices to give them a better chance. If artillery was fired at them, it would take out a good number of residential areas.

The rest of the group tagged the areas with the highest concentrations of the Chulan's for bombardment. Gone was the care for the buildings that the Mandalorians seemed to destroy without concern. It was the fault of the Mandalorians. They may try to save the lives of the people, but rarely cared about the lives they destroyed anyway. How many memories, how much work or time went into things. Though....the CIS was not much better at this either. It was a sad thing. She pulled her forces back, and waited for the fireworks.

The multiple proton and ion torpedoes rocked the ship, continuing the batter away at it’s shields. Yet they held, and from what Xobos noticed, the shields on the opposing capital ship did as well. But they had stopped firing any sort of turbo laser at them, which she curiously looked to the officer about. He seemed puzzled as well, until he began to scroll through his datapad of his, looking back to the younger commander with a small smirk on his face as he did. Enlarging the ship on the holotable, he pointed to how the energy was flowing throughout it in the scans.

“They are diverting their weapon power to their shields to stay live. Except of course, for those pesky launchers..but, combining with out tracking of where they have been fired from, plus these energy signatures…” He trailed off, yet it was obvious what he was suggesting. The launches, still fully operation and powered, lit up brightly on the hologram. With a nod in his direction, Xobos was the next to speak, pointing to the two spots. “Destroy them. Tell the HeVeSFs to forget about the frigate and concentrate all fire on taking down the shields of that ship, including firing their turbolasers. For the Roon’s Spear and the Hive Destroyer, transmit all this data to our gunners. They are to concentrate all their firepower on both those launchers. I want them out of commission. We’ll mop up the smaller ships after.”

V’ylin’s nod was quick, as he began to give the orders to the comms officers around the command center. Xobos, for her part, didn’t know if this was how she should be proceeding. They had the enemy on the ropes. That part was plenty obvious enough. Though why they would be pulling their weapons back to just focus on shields made little sense to her. She couldn’t figure out if they were supposed to be retreating or not. The way that the frigate continued to fire upon them made it seem like there was some sort of planned move behind this, but for the life of her, the apprentice couldn’t figure it out.

“They could just be cowering behind their shields, begging for their last few minutes of life, little master…” Ambrus mused, quickly followed by a, “He’s right, you know. Their death shall be glorious..though I do suppose it might be more fun to end them by our blade instead,” from Ora. The two seemed mighty blood thirsty. Though that might have something to do with the residual feelings of all the death around them, both on the planet and in the skies above them. Not that there was much separating the two dueling task forces from being in orbit, or even on the ground, being in upper atmosphere of the planet itself.

These thoughts and musings were cut short by the officer returning to her, pressing a few buttons on the holotable and pointing out the blue squares that had returned to the task force. “Grey squadron, and what remains of orange squadron has returned, commander.” With that note hanging in the air, Xobos was able to let out a deep breath of relief. They had survived, due to whatever she had done, which she still didn’t know the specifics of. Nevertheless, it was still amazing to not have lost them all.

With a nod, she quickly responded to the officer with a smile peaking at the edges of her lips. “Tell grey squadron to land on the ship, and for orange squadron to rejoin the fighter force battling the mandalorians. We’ll end this battle then go check up on the sergeant.” The final order, for a time, was given, and soon the battle would be over. Whether Xobos knew the way it would end or not, was certainly something to be seen. It would surely be a spectacle made for the entertainment of her master.

Adenn
Their plan was in motion, the troops advancing, and everyone was playing their part. Adenn noted what Cleru had said and chuckled slightly. From what he'd heard about him, Adenn expected the Chiss to do something where he died, thus leaving Beth alone. On the opposite end was Adenn, he wouldn't die so easily, there would be nothing simple for him. Calling back to the Chiss, Adenn's voice was confident
"Don't worry Cleru, I'll survive this and anything else thrown at me. You stay safe too ner vod(brother)."

Even though this was happening, Adenn hadn't stopped advancing for one second. The CIS were so close, relatively speaking, that Adenn practically needed to get to them and fight. It was that thought keeping his despair at bay about everything else that was happening. That and being given a pict feed as the CIS scattered in vain terror, it simply brought amusement and joy to Adenn's life. His clan kept moving, their armor and the titan supporting each other perfectly.

Then it all went downhill at the sign of the bombers. Adenn looked on in despair as these bombers and fighters went towards the shield generator and blew it up. Giving a quick order, the 2 fighters in Hell's Angel deployed and went to engage the fighters from Allya. It was too late though, Adenn watched with dismay through his pict screen that the generator was destroyed completely, then he looked up and sighed. The shield flickered once, twice, then it shut down completely, thus leaving them open to aerial attack.

Looking around, Adenn saw the resolve this time rather than the despair. With the shield gone, that was one more thing gone from protecting the hospital, one more thing gone which meant the CIS would have free reign to destroy another hospital. Then Adenn turned his attention forward again, off in the distance was the CIS FOB. Perhaps if he could get there and damage or destroy the place in time, then they wouldn't focus on the hospital and would instead focus on him, but couldn't bombard him because he was too close to the CIS. A sinister smirk crossed his face then, turning to his men, Adenn spoke up once more to them all.
"They took our shield, so let's take their FOB! Charge the chaakaars and make them pay for coming here, ruin them and burn them, murder them and leave nothing alive. FOR OUT ALIIT!"

They copied his cry of 'For our aliit!' before moving out with Adenn. Only this time, they weren't moving at a leisurely pace, no, they were charging towards the CIS FOB. If they stayed in the open, they'd be shot up, if they retreated to the hospital, it'd become more of a target. So they needed to attack the enemy, so that's what they decided to do. In many cases the Clan Mortui soldiers, regardless of rank or armor, hopped onto vehicles to be transported more quickly.

There were still some CIS people between them and the CIS FOB, not that it mattered to Adenn and his Clan. They charged onward, attacking anyone from the CIS with a hail of bullets and lead. The tanks engaged anything that looked like it could harm them, while also not holding back with speed, for the most part. A third of the group stuck behind to accompany the titan as it advanced at its slow pace. They were there to protect the titan from harm, while the others were to weaken and distract the CIS FOB.

Artillery opened fire at the FOB, mainly from the titan, but also from the more mobile artillery accompanying the column. Titan tanks opened fire with their missile pods, those with anti air missiles fired up at any fighters that neared, those with anti tank missiles shot them at any vehicles, and anti infantry was handled by those riding on the tanks. Hell's Angel itself opened fire with its devastator canon, strafing its fire along any troops it saw as it marched along. The artillery on its back were booming along as well, aiming at the shield of the FOB, aiming to distract the enemy and have them looking up. So it went, Clan Mortui's column charged forward, engaging anything from the CIS, shooting ahead of themselves to try and kill as many as they could before they were right on top of them. They charged with one cry on their lips,
"For out aliit!"

Chulan
Attacking this trio of people was proving to be very troublesome for the Chulan, what with all the fight they were putting up. However, they had manged to wound at least 2 of the 3 present, something they were only semi proud of. Usually such numbers against their prey would ensure victory, nonetheless a challenge was always welcome. Then their prey fought back even more.

The controlled bursts of lightning from Marek didn't do as much as he wanted, as the Chulan had spread out. A group of 5 was hit by the blast, 3 were instantly killed, while the other 2 were incapacitated from the fight for now. Meanwhile a Chulan had neared Vytal, only to be set upon, except this was half expected. Another 2 Chulan appeared near the first and attacked Vytal using their own spears, beskar tipped and long. The first one that had been stabbed at, was now practically impaled on it, and his last moments was him grabbing the spear to try and hold it into place. He was truly dead, but the other 2 were relatively alive still, one had been hit by some attack or another, while the other was still fine. These 2 attacked Vytal with enraged vigor, stabbing at her, and shooting with their verpine guns as well.

Meanwhile, deWinter had come out of her protective bubble, something the Chulan were quick to capitalize on. A third of their forces focused fullly on deWinter, hoping to get to some weakness and either wound or kill her. The wrist lasers that she shot went wide for the most part, but a few actually managed to reach the Chulan hidden in the trees. Thankfully for them the distance reduced the effectiveness of the gun, thus saving their lives, but slightly knocking their aim off every now and then. Then one of them was hit with a lucky shot and fell out of his tree perch, not that the others really noticed. They simply continued to pour fire at the trio, hoping to kill or wound one or all of them.

Space
The various attacks on the Resolve weren't doing as much damage as Clan Mortui had hoped. Not fully understanding why, they nonetheless continued on with a dogged Mandalorian determination to at least wound the SSD. Thankfully the maneuver to damage the bridge had worked, however there was no doubt a backup bridge located somewhere inside. Not that it mattered, that bridge was now a prime boarding location, along with any damaged areas along the hull.

However, even with all these attacked, from the pods sent to the engine prior by a Kanjiklub Deceiver, along with all the munitions sent at the SSD, it simply wasn't enough. Even as that crossed the thoughts of the captain of the middle Hammerhead, they were targeted and fired upon. Unlike their enemy, they weren't as strong nor as big, no it was 'only' a Star Destroyer, one that seemed to be out of its depth. The enemy fire ripped through parts of the shield and into the hull behind, and in such close range, with such weapons the destroyer couldn't hope to properly survive. Thankfully, through luck or a miracle, the center of the ship hadn't cracked open, thus allowing them to continue if they so pleased. That's not to say there wasn't damage, on the Hammerhead were several minor explosions, some closer to the engine block than one would expect.

If it were a normally crewed destroyer, there would've been countless dead from the ship, Thankfully there were only a handful from the skeleton crew, those losses couldn't be fixed though, not anytime soon at least. Then again, they wouldn't need to fill the ships up anytime soon, since they planned on blowing the place up. That said, only the bridge crew stayed after that, all the other crew ran to their escape pods and flew off. Some were shot out of the sky, others decided to try a boarding action via the bridge of the Resolve, while others still were simply a diversion. Nonetheless, they went about their work with gusto.

Even as the Resolve continued on, 2 key things happened. The middle Hammerhead began to tilt over, the stress on its hull and engines being too much. The latter cut out, and fell in the opposite direction that the SSD was traveling, to essentially fall down to land lengthwise on the Resolve. It was falling over to essentially lay down on the Resolve, which was part of their plan, though they'd hoped to cause more damage before hand. At the same time the 2nd Hammerhead disengaged, making it seem like they 'realized' the futility of their attack, and instead chose to leave. Only, it disengaged from the Resolve and fell down towards the planet.

Both ships seemed to be practically dead in the sky, only they weren't, not fully at least. The first Hammerhead that fell down to the planet corrected itself in its fall once it was below the middle point of the ship, and thus far closer to the engine block. The ship was smoking, but the crew didn't notice, or simply ignored the smoke and fire. Then the Hammerhead opened fire on the engine block, hoping to take the SSD down that way, even as the 1st Hammerhead enacted its part in the plan. The 1st one was beyond salvageable, at least in the heat of the moment for fighting. So the crew of the destroyer did the logical thing, at least for them. They activated their explosives, hoping to blow the SSD up in their final moments The 2nd Hammerhead focused on shooting the engine block, trying to drive the Resolve down.

Those ships from Clan Mortui that were attacked with fighters deployed their own fighters if they had any, and if they didn't had some deployed towards them. They would defend each other from any and all attacks.

Mors Classemque (Death Fleet)

Actions:

Fighters deployed to attack enemy fighters and defend own ships
Hammerhead 1 falls over to not so gracefully crash legthwise across the Resolve before detonating itself. Hammerheads are filled with explosives.
Hammerhead 2 drops down to the middle of the ship and shoots at the engine block

Note:
The Hammerheads are filled practically to the brim with explosives, anywhere it can't be easily hit if the Hammerhead is hit.

    Tanaab, Mandalorian Space

At last. The opening they had been waiting for. The Nelvaanian troops were supposed to deploy hours ago. But the situation in space had, so far, forced the Eternal Empire to hold back and wait because of the chaotic mess in the orbit of the planet, which prevented them from safely landing their troops. Now, thanks to the valiant efforts of the forces under [member="Adron Malvern"]'s command, they could finally enter the fray.

Aboard the Nelvaanian flagship, Tacitus was making his way towards his dropship, accompanied by his Wolfguards and the two Psi Corps operatives he had brought with him for this mission, the turbolift doors silently opening to reveal the cavernous hangar beyond, where the main contingent of his forces were loading into their own shuttles and dropships, armored vehicles already onboard, while the starfighters and dive bombers that would provide support and cover to the ground forces, were going through their final pre-flight checks.

The Eternal Emperor greeted his troops with a salute, not stopping for a speech. This was the time for war, not words and no speeches were necessary. The troops had their orders, they knew what to do and elsewhere in the Nelvaanian fleet, the rest of the regiment was preparing for combat drop.

Tacitus had personally picked this regiment. The 131st had faced Mandalorians before, during the Battle of Eshan and had emerged victorious, even after the enemy had dropped a Star Destroyer onto them. They knew how to fight this enemy. They knew how to win.

Above Tanaab, space warped and twisted as the Nelvaanian ships emerged from hyperspace behind their allies, away from the main enemy force. Immediately, they began disgorging dropships, bombers and fighters into the planet's atmosphere, hundreds of red streaks cutting across the sky as they headed for the city below. So far, the fighting had been hard, as Tacitus had anticipated. The arrogant enemy had prepared a trap for the Confederate forces, but now, the Confederacy was about to drop its heaviest hammer on them, in the form of the Eternal Empire's elite shocktroops, which came accompanied by large numbers of deadly artillery and heavy armor. The Nelvaanians were not known for half-measures.

Siege lines and trenches were swiftly being established outside of the city, self-propelled howitzers and other artillery systems taking up positions, protected by infantry and anti-tank guns, as well as a sizeable number of infantry fighting vehicles which would provide anti-air cover along with the portable missile launchers which the combat engineers carried and the regiment's own sizeable force of starfighters. Defense against attacks from orbit was to be provided by the surface-to-orbit cruise missile launchers which the Nelvaanians had brought with them. They would not allow the events of Eshan to repeat themselves.

Tacitus surveyed the scene from his dropship, satisfied with the progress as he watched the regiment's forward elements preparing to push into the city. Infantry fighting vehicles, tanks and walkers formed up into columns that would serve as the five Nelvaanian spearheads behind which came even more infantry, who's orders were to establish strong points from which to deploy mortars and yet more artillery. The cosmic game of Dejarik upon which hung the fate of Tanaab, was entering its final stage. Checkmate, Mandalorians, he thought as he ordered his troops forward.

---------

Thud, thud, thud. The heavy, metallic thunder echoed through the ghostly streets of the deserted city as whatever was making it, slowly but surely approached [member="Srina Talon"]'s position. Thud, thud, thud. And a growing, mechanical rumble. The first sign that reinforcements were on their way, was a pair of I3A starfighters that streaked past overhead, providing aerial reconnaissance for a larger force. The distinctive roaring of Nelvaanian jet bikes could be heard from streets to the left and right even as the very first tanks came into view. A column of Sarissa main battle tanks, accompanied by Xiphos-pattern infantry fighting vehicles bearing the triskellion emblem of the Eternal Empire was pushing past the Exarch and her monstrous companion, towards the front lines. With them also came the horror that was responsible for the thudding.

One hundred and fifty meters tall, the mechanical behemoth walked on heavy, reinforced legs. Its body was studded with weapons, the biggest of which was the Isotope 5-powered twin-gun heavy turbolaser that was capable of unleashing a miniature apocalypse upon any enemies unlucky enough to find themselves in its sights. The Nelvaanians had brought a TX-1 war droid, a colossal engine of destruction with the firepower of a small cruiser, capable of turning vast swathes of terrain into utterly lifeless wasteland. Thud, thud, thud, the colossus' legs boomed, crushing the duracrete beneath under the behemoth's weight.

Above the streets, more and more fighters were pushing forward, now accompanied by Styx-class dropships. Aboard one of them, Tacitus opened a comms channel to the entire Confederate force. "Attention, all forces. Heavy artillery support and airstrikes are now available upon request. I repeat, artillery support and airstrikes available upon request. Tacitus, out."

With that, the heavy guns of the Nelvaanian troops, came to life, drowning the city in a deafening, roaring thunder as they unleashed their horrific firepower upon the Mandalorians' rearmost lines. The Eternal Empire had finally come. And with it, it brought forth the hosts of hell.

Having put much of his time into creating specific items for the use of Jedi and those of the lightside, House Arenais had become a notable family whose skills could be put to use in such area's of development and stewardship of the Light. The very Jedi Garments that Veiere wore presently, influence and further strengthened his connection to the Force as did his wedding ring, one of few traits that aided in the cleansing of the mind and counter-affecting against negative forces. Standing before the Sith Lord, the Jedi Master remained undeterred despite the clear and vile intentions of his foe.

"Such bold words. You were always far more incompetent than I ever gave you credit for Veiere.
Tell me...do you know where your children are? Young Caedyn and Loreena? I do".
Once again, Prazutis was targeting Veiere's emotional restraint and challenging his discipline as a Jedi Master. The mention of his Children were a vulnerability that Veiere would always have for as long as they took life into their lungs, yet it was also a challenge that he had been struggling with lately given [member="Kay Arenais"]' connections to Clan Raxis and the rest of the Mandalorian's following his Niece's leadership. Trying to push away one's emotions and connections to family, if even for just a few moments, was no easy feat and it was here that Veiere's resistance began to falter, his jaw locking as he stared back at Darth Prazutis, unable not to consider the possibility that the Sith Lord knew something that Veiere did not.
He was very likely trying to push the Jedi Master into acting recklessly, yet Lori had immediately gone out in search of her Mother when Veiere had told the twins about the failing political climate, whilst [member="Caedyn Arenais"] had first sought out his partner [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], and only the Force knew where they were at present.

"Your words are poison..." Veiere responded, doing his utmost to close himself off and try to ignore the Sith Lord's intimidation. The moment was all that was important, he could not risk the chance that Prazutis was trying to force him into making a fatal mistake, as long as he remained alive following the encounter with the Sith, then he would be able to do all that was within his ability and influence to track down and determine the well-being of his Children.

"In time they too will kill for me...as your wife has.
They will make fine butchers before the end".
From Veiere's perspective, he could only presume Prazutis spoke of the Children, unable to hear the words that had been previously cast into the mind of @Naedira Darcrath; The behemoth Lord of Lies soon pressed forward, charging directly towards him, alongside the ignition of his blade. The size and momentum of his opponent far exceeded the Jedi's strength to counter directly, yet where armor slowed one down, Veiere's robes complimented his speed and maneuverability, the light-weighted attire doing nothing to restrain Veiere in his would-be evasion and mobility in combat.

Within seconds the Sith Lord was upon him, Veiere shifting his weight before collision and instead moving to side-step around the right side of his staunch opposition, his Lightsaber being raised defensively, seeking to parry Prazutis' own before he took several more paces to distance himself again. Veiere's primary form, one he had focused on above all others was Soresu, and in the Sith Lord's aggression, patience and careful precision was his best chance of overcoming such a passionate offense.

"You give yourself too much credit...".

There was only one problem with a rousing speech, what came next. Everyone talked about the force, about the power to reach out and twist the very nature of space and reality with just the power of the mind. There was no questioning the abilities the mystical energy field conferred upon those capable of wielding it, John had seen his cousin waltz through technology and security like they were nothing. Yet, and yet. Yet there was something else at work here, no force, no mystical powers manipulating space and time and yet there was something there that wasn't there before. Some kind of energy that linked the crew, seemed to spark off them as they turned to their jobs with a renewed focus. Fear wasn't something you could just forget, not once it had sunk it's claws into your soul but looking around John couldn't see a trace of it. There were drawn faces to be sure, shaking hands and nervous look but they were there, they believed. It wasn't that they no longer feared, but rather they had chosen that something else was more important than their fear, they had chosen that protecting the planet and those on it was more important than their lives and their fears. This wasn't the force, this wasn't the Jedi or the Sith inspiring through the force, this was just the power of words and willpower, of soldiers willing to give their all because of an ideal, because of a brotherhood.

To the man who had spent much of his life engrossed in books and mechanics it was something he'd never considered before, the power held in such a small thing like a word, a phrase, the power held by the truth spoken honestly. It was perhaps something to consider, an avenue that he had never considered following. John knew that his family was force sensitive, most obviously in the case of his cousin, that maybe if his path had been different he might have been one of those people who could bend the galaxy or raise it with just the power of their minds. Those people who could pull those around them to them because of the powers they held, because of...the man blinked slowly and shook his head. That wasn't true though was it? It wasn't the force that made people follow them, it wasn't the force that made people admire them and look upto them, it was who they were, how they acted. People hadn't been happy to see Gianna because of the fact she was a Jedi, it was because of who she had been, of the personality that had driven her to reach out and to help people. No matter who they were. Which had led to Taanab, to a medical mission and a Mandalorian attack on the medical craft.

It was a tale as old as time, medical professionals caught up in the middle of a conflict by those they had been trying to help. But despite that they kept coming back to it, kept trying to help people even knowing that they could be targeted and shot, killed without a second chance. Perhaps that was it, that was what drove people, not anger, not the force or any external stimulus. Perhaps it was that understanding of who you were and what you believed in, a desire to live your life the way you believed was right regardless of the cost. If only that cost wasn't so high. Maybe that's what he'd been missing, all his life John had believed in technology, in engineering but that might not be enough. What else was there? What else did he believe in? He'd wanted to help people, but that had passed him by under the drums of war, he was a killer now, responsible for the deaths of thousands, each ship destroyed under his command was one more mark on his soul, but what choice was there, let the pirate by to wreak havoc on his friends and allies? That wasn't even an option.

John leaned forward in his chair, dark eyes flicking over to a screen as he saw a bright explosion in the distance, an exploding ship maybe? No, it was too large, too powerful to just be a ship, it had to be one of those star core's he'd heard so much about in the past. It was like a supernova, his cybernetic's automatically shielding him against the glare as the Admiral dragged his attention back to the battle at hand. "All ships, are to continue firing at their targets. Send to all ships, 'The Line Holds'". He could see his fighters and support ships engaging the masses of fighters headed his way, a mini-maelstrom of light and fire reflecting the larger battle, as the ships threw beams of pure death at one another. It was a sacrifice, of lives, of the potential of all those pilots and crews, but maybe it would be enough to buy just a little more time for everyone else, another second for the thin line of ships to hold against the pressure mounting against them.

Or maybe not so thin, on the screens John could see ships sliding into his formation, filling the gaps and bolstering his beleaguered ships as he sagged down in relief before glancing over curiously at his comms officer mouthing words to him as the screen lit up, "Baroness, I've got to admit, your fleet is a sight for sore eyes. Thank you," he hadn't been sure that anyone would make it out to them, any forces could secure the damaged line, but now, now things looked a little different. "Have your star destroyers fall into line between mine, they're to focus for with the rest of my ships." A quick glance to the side brought up up the ships names, "Have your ships focus any long range weapons they have on the Mandalorian flagship." Maybe, just maybe this would enough to turn the tide. He watched the beams of energy cross crossing the void, shield flaring brightly with each hit. The line would hold, he'd make sure of it, even if it meant standing out there himself. A wry smile touched the admiral's lips. Perhaps this was his ideal to believe in, no more of his friends and allies would die today, not if he could prevent it. If he had to believe in something, let it be a guardian, someone to protect whose who needed him to, those who had put their faith in him.

Still teaching me things even now huh? Thank you Gia.

Visanj’s fleet began to move into position along [member="John Locke"]’s line, bringing their shields to full and targeting the Mandalorians’ flagship. Fifteen squadrons, equipped with Deathstrike Mk-3 missiles and VT-Disruptor Missiles, began to launch their payloads, as heavy guns launched a massive barrage.

“You heard the man, pour it on!” Visanj commanded.

Holding on to this line, every second, brings us closer to victory below. We just have to keep the Mandalorians engaged, and lucky for us, if they break now, Taanab is ours. No matter what, we’d hold out, Vi promised herself. To the last ship, or the last man, we’re in this.

“You didn’t think I’d let you have all the fun, did you John? Cheers!” Vi waved her hand, a gesture Aries knew all too well. He knew she hadn’t meant it about the scotch, and promptly handed her another glass. Damned if she didn’t take after Shalya, Aries pondered. It had been centuries since the ancient droid had fought under a Confederate flag, not since the Empire retook the Rim. It was a great day, and Aries felt what passes for pride in a droid, watching Confederates lay waste to slavers and criminals once more. “Let’s kill them all, Baroness,” Aries said, “Every last one of them.”
