PAbAR.png

HEIGHT: 5ft 5in
WEIGHT: 120 lbs
EYES: Hazel Green
HAIR: Generally, red. Occasionally it may appear to be a shade of strawberry blond. It just depends on the lighting and the amount of sun exposure.
SKIN: Caucasian
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Gianna has a youthful face and a sweet smile that often leads others to believe she is younger or more innocent than she actually is. Her natural complexion is pale and blemish free. Her shoulders are slender, though not without musculature, and she generally walks with her head held high. Her hair is a shade of burnished red that can sometimes appear bleached from spending too much time in the sun and it may seem blonde from time to time. Green eyes are expressive, bright, and always reflect more than they ought to.

She has kind lines and a certain softness to her that speaks to the truth of her nature. Her facial features are aristocratic, but not proud, simply signs of good breeding. Gianna is not ostentatiously curvy, but, she is fond of functional attire versus formal. She is beautiful, as it would be senseless to deny it, but what makes her appealing has far more to do with her frame of mind over a fair face.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: Gianna is quirky, fun, and can seem oddly optimistic despite any circumstances. She is friendly, resilient, and intelligent. There are very few people that she isn't capable of befriending or finding some sort of common ground with. Her extroverted nature can sometimes be a direct contradiction of the path she has chosen, where most Jedi seem to hone in a more solitary nature, she welcomes connections to foster empathy. She believes that people are stronger when they stand together versus trying to tackle problems alone. Her strength in the force is deliberately undocumented, though, she seems to regard it as more of an old friend versus some unknown energy field.

Her capacity to care, to feel for those around her, is her defining feature.

Abilities.png

[+] Pure of Heart: Gianna is a very gentle soul. She finds solace in helping those around her and will always attempt to choose the morally correct path when presented with a difficult situation. She is honest, compassionate, and always tries to see the best in those around her.

[+] Contagious Kindness: Her joyous state is infectious. Her smile and laugh can light a room and turn the darkest of places into a sunny day. She firmly believes that kindness is the greatest wisdom, and for the most part, the galaxy is full of people that seem to have forgotten it. To that end, she attempts to remind them by leaving locations that she visits better off than when she arrived.

[+] Do No Harm: The duty of a Jedi can intermittently call for violence. Gianna will exhaust every other option before turning toward offensive abilities, or her lightsabers, when trying to solve a problem. While she has accepted that some issues will require a heavier hand, she does not, and will never suggest a show of physical force to get her point across.

[+] Sweet Talker: Gianna could charm the skin off of a snake. Her silver tongue and skill with diplomacy is uncanny and almost a little inhuman. It has gotten to the point where some suspect that she uses the Force to sway those she deals with versus appealing to their side of the argument naturally. Nevertheless, debates rarely last long in her presence.

[-] Absent-Minded Professor: Occasionally, the busy-bee and social butterfly can become preoccupied with her thoughts to the extent of seeming distracted. Her inattentiveness usually has a reason, however, it does have a tendency to make her run late. Punctuality is not her specialty.

[-] Rose-Colored Glasses: Gianna has seen some unpleasantness in her lifetime. However wise in other areas, for the most part, she refuses to let it change her perception over those around her by giving most everyone the benefit of the doubt. While it might seem like a good thing her naïve outlook can get her into trouble from time to time.

[-] Arachnophobia: From spiders to scorpions, Gianna does not tolerate arachnids, in any shape or form. General insects like butterflies and bees are not an issue but anything that looks like an eight-legged freak will cause her blood pressure to rise and her pulse to shoot through the roof. She can mitigate her fear, from a distance, with meditation and happy thoughts, but only for so long. She has been known to use telekinesis to send a spider flying across an open field just to get away from it.

Walking through sticky, gross, spider webs is definitely a special level of hell.

“Kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. One does not need to be cruel to be tough.”

Gianna was the only child born to Hollé and Karr Aegis on the planet of Naboo. She was raised in the city of Theed, mostly near the central district, and spent the majority of her young life playing near the Solleu River with other children. They were happy. They wanted for very little and thrived as a family unit. Both of her parents taught her the value of benevolence early on, though, that isn't to say she didn't get into her fair share of mischief. Children will be children. It seems entirely idyllic. Perfect and every bit as picturesque as Naboo itself seems to be.

Unfortunately, as so many have suffered in the galaxy, Gianna is not nor will she ever remain completely untouched by it. If benevolence was her first true lesson, loss, was the second. Unlike her mother, her father was not native to Naboo. Karr Aegis was an offworlder that had frequented the pastoral world as a young man for business purposes. It had been on one of those excursions that he had met Hollé and eventually began to call Theed his home. He was known as polite, educated, and hardworking to those who had come to know him. Both of her parents, at the time of her birth, worked as professors at the University and had only anticipated a quiet life despite his rather colorful past. That was not to be.

Karr Aegis was called back to his previous duties before her tenth birthday. He was a Force User and had responsibilities to the Jedi that superseded his duty to his family. Gianna can just barely remember her mother begging him not to leave for long nights on end. They never fought, not even when it was deserving, but this was a fight she would never forget. It was apparently something worth dying for, because die he did, and his ashes were returned to them.

Gianna never found out what went wrong, or exactly how he died, but she knew that her father had given his life to help others. That was what Jedi did. The men in dusky brown robes that had returned his effects had been able to tell them that, at least, to help ease their pain. It was difficult at first. Shared agony did not bring them closer. Her mother was a sweet and devoted woman but was clearly broken in two by the loss of her husband. She poured herself into her teachings, while Gianna, was often left to watch in the back of her classes, or to her own devices. The generally cheerful child was never angry about it. Never resentful. She knew her mother loved her. She just needed time to grieve. They both did, and they both mourned, in their own way.

Her life remained uneventful until the Force sought to remind her of its presence. The young woman would suffer night terrors in which gravity seemed to turn itself off in her bedroom. Dreams of her father never returning or of losing her mother plagued her for quite some time. Her own Force Sensitivity had previously been nurtured under the kind tutelage of Karr Aegis. He was delighted with her aptitude and always took the time to show her something new. At the time, her mother had approved. It was something that bonded father and daughter—bringing them together.

Now, it simply reminded Hollé of what she had lost. She did not want to hear of the Force, or see it, but it was not something that could be ignored.

Eventually they reached out to an old friend of her fathers, also a semi-retired Jedi, and he took it upon himself to finish her training. He taught her to how to fight, when to fight, and gave her a moral compass as well as a code to adhere to. Gianna applied to the Youth Program on Naboo once she was of age and excelled in political science, social work, and microeconomics. Every day a desire to learn drove her to attend classes to appease her mother, and to train as a Jedi, to honor the memory of her father.

This path led her to find work with several different agencies as a young adult. Nothing solid seemed to fit her in a political sphere, so she fell back to old ways, and found new purpose by re-immersing herself in the teachings of the Jedi. She redoubled her efforts, learning from different masters, and continued to push forward until she was able to qualify for Jedi Trials with a quiet sect that focused on the general welfare and defense of others. The nine steps were difficult, but eventually, she pulled through.

At present day Gianna spends her time between Naboo and the stars, helping where the Force wills her, and where Jedi contacts send her.
