ROON
Confederate Space, Local Time 1900

Centuries ago, whilst the Four Hundred Year Darkness reigned, an Order existed in the Southern Systems. Theirs was a gathering of Knights: warriors founded upon chivalry, brotherhood, and conquest. As the plague ravaged the stars, they braved the South - rooting out evil and bringing justice. When the Darkness finally waned and the Order stepped into the modern Galaxy, a schism ripped them in twain. A clash of ideals - of old and new - turned violent. And soon, nothing of the ancient Templars remained.

Now, their Obsidian successors work to uncover the secrets of their heritage. Knights, young and old, flock to the ruins of the Templar in daring quests. And with each adventure, their tales have been storied in the Codex Errant. So begins the story of unlocking the past...The first chapter?

Roon.

Once the oceanic world was the premier refuge of the ancient order. Now, the ruins of the Templars are scattered about. The greatest of their fortresses, the Sanctum, was met with a terrible fate during the Schism. Once situated upon a seaside cliff, the fighting saw the structure fall into the deep. By all accounts, this was the conclusion to the Sanctum's tale...until the storms began. Mighty gales brewed out of season. Typhoons howled and threatened the mainland. The phenomenon was so extreme that the Obsidian Solanaceae scried beneath the waves.

What they found was Darkness.

Someone had turned the ruin into a subaqueous citadel. Subsequent scans showed all manner of activity. From shield generators to actual beings. What's more, the Darkness is mighty within the ruin - empowering the catastrophic storms above. Fresh off the heels of the Cataclysm, the surviving Obsidian Knights could not turn a blind eye to the storms. Thus, teams had been dispatched beneath the waves. Armed and ready, those who landed would find a peculiar state of being. The Fortress naturally kept the ocean at bay, allowing one to move and to breathe normally.

Or, most importantly - to Fight.

BATTLEMENTS & OUTER COURT

Upon the walls of the Sanctum are vile creatures. Seemingly, they are the fallen Templar who breathed their last during the Schism. Now, they have suffered rot beneath the waves. Their eternal slumber has been interrupted! They now exist, caught between life and death, compelled to do the bidding of the Sanctum's master. Each is armed with Templar Equipment, such as Crossbows, Lightsabres, Personal Shields, Armor, and Belts that an intrepid Knight may find of use. The walls surround what was once a stunning garden. Yet, now, only rot and broken stone remain. North of the crumbling fountains lies the shattered entryway into the Sanctum proper.

INNER COURT & ARCANEUM

Past the Outer Court are the dilapidated halls of the Sanctum. While many paths are blocked, two remain. The eastern-most corridor leads to a winding staircase and concludes at an upper level. This wing, once known as the Arcanum, served as the center of Templar knowledge. Here, one may find testimonials or teachings of old upon the countless shelves. Be warned, however. For the quest for knowledge is not without risk. A mighty Terentatek has been set in place by the Sanctum master to keep watch over the ancient lore. Approach at your own peril.

Choosing the northern-most corridor leads to the Inner Court. Here, the Darkness is at its most foul. Within the remains of the fabled Round Table, a ritual is taking place. A figure, obscured by the Darkness, is weaving ancient powers into a crystalline structure. And, with each syllable, thunder booms. A barrier of power stands between you and the culprit, as well as numerous Exemplar Battle Droids. Rip the heart out of the ritual and restore order to the skies of Roon. Only then will you be able to uncover the truth of the Darkness.

Surreal.

Over the course of his lifetime, Abel had not been exposed to anything like this. The decades spent on Nar Shaddaa, coupled with the years of mercenary work in the South, never yielded anything close. Yet, as the Knight's boots settled upon the broken pavement, his need for a rebreather ceased. He was hesitant, at first, to remove the device from his lips. However, as his peers descended and made the same assessment, his gloved hand removed the device and promptly stowed it within his belt. His lungs found fresh air. Yet, as far as his eyes could see, there was ocean. It was as if an invisible dome had been raised around the Fortress, intent on keeping every drop of seawater away.

That would make getting to the bottom of the Darkness ideal.

According to the reports, the freak storms circulating above had been the work of whomever had "restored" the Templar Sanctum. This fortification was the beating heart of the typhoons - and thus they needed to put an end to the madness. Simple enough. Find the fether responsible, run him through. Abel could get behind mundane objectives such as this, rather than attempting to discern how the Fortress kept the sea at bay. Facing the frontmost archway, Abel took a step forward when instinct roared. Looking up, he noted the rotting form of a...man? Within skeletal hands rested a crossbow which aimed and let fly.

Abel dove. The bolt clonked into the pavement and subsequently exploded. The Knight was propelled sideways and it took a full roll to come to a halt. He rose and bolted for cover, ultimately coming to a halt behind a wall that had long since collapsed. The battlements orbiting the archway were all the same: manned with these skeletal creatures. And their crossbows seemed to be able to pack one heck of a punch. This was certainly one heck of a way to introduce his students to the Obsidian lifestyle. Looking back to where he landed, he motioned for his comrades to rush over to the cover. At least here, they were away from the being's sightlines.

"Okay." he breathed, suddenly aware of the stinging in his side. "Let's not do that again."

It was the first mission since the return of her memories and although she was reluctant to leave Fevris Derzelas Fevris Derzelas , she knew that it was time that she returned to her duties within the CIS and more importantly, to her role as a KO and Solanaceae member. The assassin would just have to believe that the Doctor would be safe amongst the faction she had sworn allegiance to. If she could have persuaded the doctor to join the CIS, she would have tried, but deep down she knew that she couldn’t. So, here she was, touching down upon broken pavement not long after a man named Abel had and had experienced the first shot. Without hesitation, the woman removed her rebreather, only to stow it away for the time being while darting over to the cover that Abel had found.

The force sung with the darkness and danger that the place was rifed with. So her first response was to wait. Wait for anyone else to arrive, for she was so out of touch with anything CIS that she wondered if her heart was even in it anymore. Which Nightsisters would heed the call of the KO and consequently, was her skills even needed for such an expedition? Another question that popped up, was the one that asked if she was even needed anymore. There wasn’t much need for an assassin and the woman felt it. However, as she crouched behind the wall nearby Abel, she pondered upon the problem that was posed before her. A problem where it didn’t seem as if there was much need for an assassin and if there wasn’t much need then what was she to do? Except play the role as another body in a numbers game.

Shalita was an assassin, a shadow and yet where there was no true work for her? Should she move on? The question played in her mind as icy blue eyes lingered upon the figures that joined them and slowly she closed them. Instead of looking with her eyes, she sensed the dark and corrupted beings that stood upon the parapets of the battlements, through the force. The darkness did not make the woman waver in her resolve to give aid to the KO and Solanaceae, yet she fought with the urge and the whispering thoughts that dared to suggest that her place was no longer with these people. Should the assassin seek out other assassins?

Her calm within the eye of the storm had been disrupted by the love that she felt for another and for once in the many years that she had been free of her shackles, Shalita felt something other than the cold shadows and she knew that it was dangerous. It was an obstacle that she had to work through and being that this was the first mission in many months, it would be the most difficult. As her mind was split into two. Her loyalties would be tested and her heart would beat, as she had let a weakness creep in. A weakness that came in the form of fear. Fear of the what if’s.

What if she didn’t return back home to the arms of the woman that she loved? Would Fevris be safe enough to live the long life that she deserved to live? Fear would be the biggest obstacle, because she had never thought about the what if’s before, because before she didn’t have that bond. Because before, if she had died, then that would be that; but now there was a bond that had been formed and that bond had created a chink in her armour. A weakness that had the potential to be exploited and it was a weakness that she was going to have to work through and strengthen till it couldn’t be considered a weakness, but a strength. Why? Well it was simple, because it had become the only thing that she had ever wanted in her entire life..

When it came to the Force, its nature was perhaps one of the most debated and studied topics known to the galaxy.

Some contended it to be an benevolent entity, one who silently influence the galaxy through nudges and whispers in order to achieve a better, more perfect harmony. Others disagreed, claiming it to be an ambivalent and binding power that went past the fundamental laws of the universe, paracausal in nature. And there were those who only thought of it as a tool by through which power could be achieved, through which their will could be enforced on others. To them, the Force was the breaker of their physical chains and the tool for which they sought liberation from their metaphysical bondage.

Descended from a nominally-exiled member of the old Jedi Order, House Layne had always adhered to what was referred to as the 'Light Side' of the Force, the powers and derivatives that created life and maintained balance. The teachings of the Jedi had been expanded and commentated by various masters of the force that claimed lineage to House Layne, and their works and the works of many scholars collected over the years were stored in the vast archive of Frosthall. But, Beric found himself wanting for more. He had undertaken the instruction of an apprentice, one who struggled with her own connection to the Force.

How was he supposed to teach her to harness her gifted powers if he did not truly understand them himself?

To that extent, when word had come of an Obsidian-sanctioned mission to a derelict temple on the forsaken world of Roon, it had piqued Beric's curiosity. A lost temple of an order to the Force, the Templars, might provide answers to the questions Beric sought after. And so, Millu and he had made the journey across the Confederacy from Vandor to Roon, seeking valuable treasures that this lost temple might hold.

Salt and ocean water sprayed across the long strands of Beric's golden hair, whipping in the harsh winds of the storm that covered the location of the Sanctum. He and Millu had been dropped off into, what Beric quickly realized, had been the middle of the ocean. The Lord of Frosthall had worked quickly to soften their fall, using the force, to bring up a siphon of water to catch the Knight and Apprentice and more gently bring them to the surface. From there, he'd breathed winter into the churning waters, forming a small ice flow on which he could drag himself and Millu onto. It was far from dry land, but it would do.

"I need you to what we are looking for," Beric instructed Millu as he drew the water away from his clothes first, then Millu's, before breathing heat into both of them before they had a chance succumb to any illness. As the two had grown closer, Beric had learned to teach by showing Millu the path before she would follow it on her own. It had worked on Haruun Kaal, and if Beric had to guess, it would work here too. "Do as I taught you. Reach into the force and find your quarry."

Dreidi stretched her limbs, she was fairly tired from her journey moving into CIS space. Since Asaraa was her Master and heavily involved in CIS, Dreidi decided it was time that she moved to CIS space, specifically move in with her sister, though she hadn't really thought to warn Asaraa that she was moving in with her so there was a shock on Asaraa's side when she arrived with luggage of her stuff. Since then, Dreidi been pestering her to teach more about the Force and how things worked in the CIS in comparison to the SJC, which had been the only way of life that Dreidi had ever really known. She looked around the place and thought about why she had come on this mission, mostly because she thought she was becoming a bit of a nuisance to Asaraa hanging around her but also because she was curious about what laid in store in terms of adventure and knowledge.

Combing her long hair with her fingers, Kat idly looked around, wrapped in her thick long green cloak she wasn't feeling too cold thanks to the cloak as she wandered around the building, spotting two people not too far away, seemed to be a Master with their apprentice on a similar path that she was on. Dreidi smiled and waved over to them as she stepped towards the Arcaneum, she didn't think it would be too bad around here. While someone at some point mentioned danger and some risk but Dreidi wasn't really paying attention and figured that there wouldn't be much harm for her since everyone in the CIS seemed super capable of dealing with it and who would put dangerous stuff in a library. Libraries were boring and full of books, books never killed anyone so she was perfectly safe!

Or at least that was what the naive teenager thought as she headed towards the Arcaneum.

In all her years, Serena had seen many things. Some were part of her daily routine, as ordinary as the uniform she wore to work. Some were more shocking; horrific incidents that disrupted the hospital for months and soured the mood of the whole staff. She had seen miracles and tragedies, marvels and disasters, life and death. In all her years, Serena had seen many things, but nothing as breath-taking as this.

Truthfully, it felt strange to be in awe of something she was keenly aware of the dangers of. Yet today it seemed as though the truth alone could not distract from scenery itself. They had arrived, a team of Knights and herself, at a cliff overlooking the edge of a dark and stormy sea. It was grey upon grey. Even the sky itself seemed to brood over the erratic waves. Serena had immediately regretted her decision to join the mission. What could possibly go right here?

Her line of work meant that she was often wrong, and she was glad to be. One could only learn when one made mistakes, and Serena had made many of them. It was fortunate that she had made a mistake when judging the sea. It was fortunate that she had coerced herself to join when Abel had made it more than clear before they took the leap that she was under no obligation to join. It was fortunate that she had been wrong.

She knew it from the moment the icy waves enveloped her body, the moment she began to sink toward the blurred outline of what had once been a great Sanctum. It was breath-taking.

They were faced with dazzling lights, hazed by the current as it tugged and pulled at their robes. Even with the oppressive darkness beneath the skies above, Serena could see the might of what had once been. The architecture alone seemed far grander than she had imagined, despite the sea’s attempts to shrink and contort it. Alongside the almost fairy-tale scenery, there was something altogether magical about floating down into the depths.

The mass of dark chocolate curls atop her head had splayed wildly, like spindly fingers reaching out to touch the surface. Her body had a weightless quality to it, despite the speed it was sinking at, which in turn made her stomach feel as though it were floating. Icy cold water drifted through the tips of her fingers. She could feel the chill, right down to her bones, but the water that enveloped her somehow felt like a blanket. With every inch she crept toward the bottom, the heavier and warmer the blanket became.

Finally finding solid ground beneath her feet instead of water, Serena became keenly aware of the rebreather wrapped around her face. Just as aware of it as she was when they had been standing cliffside. It had been expected. They had detected signs of life inside the building, what was to say that they had not figured out some kind of oxygen field. That was not the strangest thing. The strange thing was that she was still surrounded by water on all sides. They had not passed through a shield, or a dome, or anything of a similar nature. Yet still, when the hand clutching her rebreather fell to her side, she had no more difficulty breathing than she normally did.

Serena set about tucking the equipment into her pocket when the distinct sound of something fast cut through the water. Her charcoal gaze caught the arrow as it zipped through the space that Abel had once stood in. There was no time to think. More arrows sliced through the current as she scrambled to follow in Abel’s footsteps.

Maybe she was wrong again. Maybe this was a bad idea. Serena was no fighter, her very existence up to now had primarily to heal. To save. Not to kill and destroy. Why was she here again?

A flash of golden hair crossed her vision, followed by a voice she was quickly growing accustomed too, and Serena was reminded. Him. “Are you hurt?” Serena found herself surprised at the panic in her tone. Was it panic for the arrows that had chased her all the way to the wall? Or panic for the man who had almost been cut clean in two by one. She quickly scanned his form but noted no signs of visible trauma or bleeding. Serena visibly relaxed. It had definitely been the latter sort of panic.

Thirty Minutes to Contact.

Voph's ship plunged through the atmosphere. Storms buffeted the vessel as it sank through the clouds. Lightning lashed out at the hull once, twice, a third time. Voph calmly reached over and activated a comm signal to the rest of the Knights Obsidian force. "The Temple is indeed the epicenter. We start our search there. Move with caution, we do not know what awaits us." The ship rocked under the impact of another lightning blast as Voph changed the channel to a planet wide one. "This is Lord Commander Voph to Viceroy Tenith Vilde. The Knights Obsidian are on approach to what we believe is the source of these storms. Do what you can to keep civilians away, and remain safe. We will contact you when the crisis is over."

Twenty Minutes to Contact.

Voph stood upon a cliff overlooking the vast sea below. The fur upon his collar ruffled and rippled in the harsh storm winds. His blindfold was wet against his face, and his hair hung about his head in a wet mop. His lightsaber was fastened securely across his back, waiting to be unslung. Voph could taste the darkness waiting below. Though the man was adamant about his walk of balance and discipline, recent events made this...intoxicating. He pulled a rebreather from his belt, and prepare to make the descent...

Ten Minutes to Contact.

Upon the sea floor, Voph found air. The darkness swirled around him, and threatened to consume him. But he did not let it. Not yet. Not until he was ready. He was aware of Abel Denko Abel Denko and his team's fight within the courtyard, but his goals lay elsewhere. Voph did not forsake the opportunity to aid his fellow Knights, however, and dispatched any of the creatures fool enough to stand between his team, and the entrance to the Arcaneum. Once inside, however, a still fell across the room. Other Knights had made it inside, though the battle still raged without. But Voph could not shake the feeling that something was not right.

That something was watching them...

The turbulent descent from the heavens was nothing he couldn't handle, but the foray into the sea was a somewhat different matter. He could swim, yes, but almost a quarter-ton of polymorphic felinoid displaced a lot of water, attracting more of the underwater denizens than they might have otherwise encountered, but nonetheless dispatched with relative ease. On land, he would have far more purchase to handle most creatures with his bare hands. Here, he couldn't have. Water gave resistance and he was not built for graceful movement through through it.

But this was temporary, and once they had entered the Arcaneum, Arristorr found himself thankful he hadn't done that in his monstrous form, for fur was heavy when waterlogged, and wet fur stunk. Not to mention it plain well would not have been a wise idea. Once within, he peeled off the rebreather, and mussed a hand through his now-unruly mop of hair, as the wrong feel of the place filtered into his awareness and caused him to near-pause, citrine eyes narrowing, and if not wet, the hair on his arms would have risen up. He shook out his tail.

"That's not good."

The words a low, rumbling whisper, under his breath. He hadn't encountered this kind of feel, that made his gut nope so fast, ever, until recent events. Orange orbs glanced sidelong at the Lord Commander, then shifted back to the corridor ahead. It was like something had walked over your grave, compounded at least a few hundred times. He could swear he heard an indoor wind. He sniffed, nose wrinkling in offense.

"Oh, that's bad... whateverrr it is."

In more ways than one.

Amphibious Assault

Location: In Orbit on a Kaminoan Battlecruiser
Equipment: Lightsaber
Tag: Kyyrk Kyyrk | Open
In Orbit of Roon, three Kaminoan Battlecruisers sat and watched as the Knights landed upon the surface of the world. The mandate had been clear, the Knights would go in first then the clones could move in to assist. While Kamino and Roon were both part of a growing alliance of worlds the Knights still had jurisdiction as did the confederate military so for now the clones waited. Most of them anyway, it was agreed that a small amphibious assault team would be acceptable. At the forefront of this assault would one of the members who had the most combat experience. The red-haired woman was the last one boarding the dropships as they took off, grabbing ahold of the handhold above her head she turned her attention to the clones as the ship launched from the belly of the battlecruiser before accelerating punching through the atmosphere at incredible speed. For clone pilots, storms were just part of the training regimen being from Kamino, whatever was causing these storms? It didn't concern them at all. But if Taiia could survive a Mandalorian drop with Zlova Rue Zlova Rue she could handle just about anything... She thought, and she smiled as she heard a couple of the clones taking.
'....So yea, like I was saying so the Minister of Science called the commander Bob during the invasion at Talay!'
'No she did not, quit making things up.'
'No im dead serious I was with the CO at the time.'

A quick word from the pilot shut them up "Going in, hold on tight" the ship vibrated sharply several times before making it through the storm clouds, wind and rain buffeted the ship and lightning flashed all around them to her it seemed more like a force storm, from what she had read about them anyways. When she heard Voph on the comm she grabbed her own and replied back, "Lord Commander, I am with Echo squad and we are in route eta..." she paused and glanced at a clone who held up two fingers, she gave him a nod and continued "...Two minutes out. See you on the ground."
The next words were normally something you did not want to hear "Impact in 3, 2, 1" the entire ship shuddered as it sank beneath the waves, her grip tightened on the handhold until the ship settled from hitting the surface of the water and then once deep enough the ride became considerably smoother and she finally let go of the handhold before approaching the pilot and peering out the window. "So, you guys do this all the time?" he just let out a soft chuckle with a nod and Taiia shook her head.

The Mother of All Psy-Pires
Wearing: Progenitor's Robes (Armorweave Kimono)

Armed with: Consular's Blood

Obsidian Lightsaber (Short Bladed mode)

Objective: Slay Abominations in Outer Courtyard

It had been a while since she had been an active field member.

A long, LONG while.

Nine, once her laboratory and resources had been established, had contented herself with aiding The Knights Obsidian through technological endeavors. Maple seemed intent on supplying them with some of her other designs on her own time. (Nine had inducted her into House Li-Ves as thanks for helping rescue her on Kar Shian) Nine supplied psychic weapons and advanced psychic implants to the Knights, which had made her House very wealthy, enough that House Li-Ves had silent, shadowy tendrils spreading out quickly to various businesses within CIS Space, GA Space, and, now that Laertia Io Laertia Io was a member of House Li-Ves in secret, that meant House Li-Ves was unofficially in Silver Jedi Space also.

Nine was still the hilariously lethal warrior she had always been. But since the decimation of the Knights, she had chosen to go back into active field operations just to retain her edge.

Being shut up had cost her the duel against The Amalgam The Amalgam at Castagne. She had failed. She had suffered for it. She had to rediscover her killer instinct.

Nine had gone in with Abel Denko Abel Denko and the others to secure the courtyard, wielding two weapons she had not had much practice with in a while.

One was her own self built Lightsaber that she had constructed upon first joining the Knights Obsidian, which had not seen use in a while. The other had also been built by her, but at a far earlier point in her life, when she had still been a Jedi.

For a long time after her transmission and even into this era for a time, Nine had refused to wield a Lightsaber, ashamed of her vampirism. She had broken that taboo when Bobbi, her 'son' and then head of security, had died. She had long since come to accept what she was.

The Mother of all Psy-Pires removed her wetsuit, her armorweave kimono, dark shimmering green with white rose flower print, somehow unfolded easily as she peeled the suit off. Her gorgeous Atrisian features and slightly olive tan skin hidden by dark, long raven hair her eyes two pools of black with glowing dots of purple at the center. Her ancient saber, Ryoji no chi, or Consular's Blood was gripped in her hand, an old friend she had not dared to touch in what had been eons. Its elegant, clawed emitter hilt fit comfortably in her hand as she followed Abel and spotted Shalita Verd Shalita Verd and Serena Denko as they came across the vast sanctum, now a crumbling ruin surrounded by churning waters and clouds bleeding thunder.

She felt it. A great darkness here. If this place was to be reclaimed, it would have to be cleansed. She sensed the hisses of the unliving encroach on them as the journeyed further, until Abel spotted them first and nearly died for it, skeletal, rotting men firing crossbows whose bolts detonated. Nine used the Force to dash to cover, before leaping onto the battlements and using her unique vampire abilities to crawl on the walls and surfaces rapidly to get the drop on the skeletal warriors, leaping down on one and surprising a bunch.

Her longer than normal Lightsaber flared alive, completely red, even to the core...

(Character Theme Song Power Up)

(Theme: "A View To A Kill" by Duran Duran)

Nine dashed forward past crossbow bolts, swinging her blade through these rotting abominations, cutting down one who attempted to duel her with their own saber in seconds, ducking and flipping over their attacks, her dark blue Shoto springing to life also and parrying attacks.

"Mother Nature, draw The World to where I point..." she hissed, flinging a spell that pulled everything not nailed down close to the spot on the floorr she pointed at, including many of the skeleton men, which she wasted no time taking advantage of, dashing towards them and swinging her crimson blade into exposed skull and rotting brains, Force Leaping and Dashing, blades passing through weapons and ribcages, though the Consular's Blood had gyroscopic issues she had never been able to mitigate fully, and it had cost her in terms of a slight decrease in swing speed compared to her regular blade, which meant a grazing strike from an enemy blade got through, hitting her in the shoulder. Nine clenched her teeth in pain, but backflipped over the follow up strike, shoving her blade into her attacker's rotting brain, siezing one of their crossbows and firing its bolt into a hoard of them, instagibbing them.

For the next thirty seconds, this rampage continued, Nine slashing apart every abomination able to fire on her allies until at last the clamor from tge battlements above the archway Abel had entered through fell silent and Nine jumped down, deactivating her blades.

"I wouldn't get too excited. That was only a small welcoming party. I sense more of these things waiting for us..." she told her allies, robes slightly scorched and singed.

The Battlements were going to be a Pain.

As more of the Knighthood began to descend from the ocean's surface, the undying adjusted their targets. Now, there was more than just the Knight huddled underneath a piece of broken rubble. Now, there were plenty of adversaries for their bolts to sink into. Thus, from Lord Commander on down, a hail of bolts began to rain down upon the Obsidian host. The salvo was predominately explosive in nature - and thus explosions scorched into being once the quarrals made contact. Being caught between life and death meant the degradation of certain skills. Thankfully, they shot as well as ancient Stormtroopers and ended up riddling the landscape more than the actual host.

Nonetheless, extreme caution would need to be taken in order to survive.

In the case of Abel, he was joined at his point of cover first by a woman he did not recognize. However, backup was backup and he was glad for it. He raised his chin in her direction. "Abel." he breathed, whilst squinting against the glare of BANG Bolts exploding against the rocks. The introduction was deliberately brief, as they did not have the luxury of sipping afternoon tea in a firefight. Within the next heartbeat, his attention was seized by the form of bouncing curls in his peripheral vision. He turned, watching as Serena Denko followed in his path, before coming to a swift halt behind the cover alongside him.

Her tone was elevated. Panic? This was the woman who stitched him up without batting an eye. Panic did not suit her. Her reached out, gingerly pressing his index finger upon her forehead. "I'm good. We're good."

Now came the time to plan their approach. The others had begun to embark on their respective objectives, but the front filled with undying was going to be an obstacle no matter how it was sliced. Abel took stock of their surroundings, turning his head just in time to watch Nine Lives Nine Lives dive into the fray. He marked how lumbering the enemies' response time was in a melee. Marked how poorly they tracked. This they could work with. "Okay, got a plan. Miss." he began, regarding Shalita Verd Shalita Verd . "I'm going to create an opening for the two of you in a second here. Get to the door as fast as you can - the enemy is terrible at tracking moving targets." He then turned his attention to Serena. "Stay close to her. She's a pro."

He didn't know the woman from creation, but imparting any confidence was a good thing. There was not time to protest his given plan, for he rose from the cover straightaway. The Force seeped into his bones, empowering his limbs. He reached out, placing one hand upon either side of their cover. Effort oozed from his form. His complexion reddened as he concentrated. A savage grunt escaped him. His muscles screamed as the Force strained them beyond their limits. Yet he would not be denied. The tactic paid off - for years of rot under the waters had unsettled the stones. The adjacent wall, which housed a quite a few of the undying, came thundering down onto the Outer Court.

Some Undying on the ground were flattened outright by the debris. Some above were caught in the fall and crushed immediately. The others were rendered sufficiently distracted. If ever there was a time to push inside, this was it. Abel exhaled, releasing his focus with a heavy breath. But he was not done. He would make sure his team made it inside in one piece. And thus, his lightsaber burned into being.

Snap. Hiss. The Knight Obsidian ran over the fallen rocks and into the chaos. In but seconds, he and the exceptional Nine Lives were embattled against the remaining undying. Amidst the grunts of battle, a single word roared above it all.

"GO!"

The cold feeling of the depths was refreshing even if the dampness wasn’t. As she floated down through the turbulent water her mind drifted slightly. Much like the vacuum of the space the water abyss gave one that feeling of smallness in the endless abyss. You felt that almost same weightlessness as drift off into the unknown. They also both had the comfortable numbing cold that Cord loved. This journey like some many space trips had a final destination. She found her boots landing on hard stone as she looked upon the citadel of the Templar’s those that came before the knight obsidian. Cord should have been in awe and amazed by this place under the see but by this point in her life she had seen so many wonders of the force and Magick nothing could really astonish her like when she was really young.

That did not mean the adventure didn’t excite her, the thrill of the hunt was there. This place had it all a fighting and treasure the thing all pirates loved it was only missing the rum. Cord reached inside her wet green long coat and pulled out a flask. With her other hand she removed the sith mask face plate from her helmet. She spun the flask lid open with on her fingers and took a swig of the liquid inside and then now that rum had been added to the mix nothing could ruin this day. She returned the flask back to her Jacket and put the mask back on.

She strode forward down the stone ramparts several groups were engaged in fighting the undead. Her foot steps gained up speed as she as she made her way for the temple. Her swords where pulled from there sheaths and brought to bare as she cut down any undead that got her way. She was a little way behind Voph and his group as she made some head way on catching up.

What treasures this place could hold she had to wonder what was at apex of this temple. What secrets could this place hold and how much where they worth. Though she should probably strike that last part from her mind she was with Knights Obsidian now what ever she found belonged to them, right? It wasn’t exactly easy to kick the pirate habit of wanting. Another head rolled as she spun through the air landing on her feet and just making it to the temple where Voph and his group were. Just in time to here Arro go. "Oh, that's bad... whateverrr it is."

Cord looked about her orang glowing eyes showing through her mask. She couldn’t really smell the air because of the mask though she figured all she would have smelled was wet cat. Though She tried to sense whatever it was Arro was talking about. She too felt something that wasn’t right and for her to feel something that could only be described as not right was bad.

“Well…damn.”

Adventure. Millu never thought herself as a seeker of thrills and forgotten relics, but more and more as she stood on the edge of all the things life could offer, the girl felt as if this life was really meant for her. She wanted to break the chains of whatever was holding her back, to breathe in the sweet scent of liberty. To realize her powers to their fullest. To make her master proud.

She had been very excited when Beric told her of this Obsidian mission to a forgotten temple that once, in a distant past, housed an ancient order of force users. Also, after the last time she couldn't not go to this mission. If there were monsters and traps and disasters, she'd be there to face it too.

This trip felt like the beginning of something. Like whatever they came to find inside those ruins would be very important in helping shape her future.

The Solanaceae had found the Sanctum beneath the waves, hidden deep in the sea, almost under where Millu and her master were at the moment. The Obsidian Knights had been left in the middle of the ocean, a few miles away from the area that hid the temple. Beric had used his elemental powers to take them up to the surface, and now the ice-float they were in gently rocked to the rythym of the sea.

She nodded gratefully to Beric who had just used the force to dry their clothes and warm them both up, after settling to try and follow his instructions. Millu closed her eyes and put one hand on the ice, like she had on the forest floor in Haarun Kaal, trying to muster up the concentration necessary to tap into the force. The squire knew there was something important inside that temple, she had felt it on the way there. This was an important event. She just had to find what it was they were looking for.

Her hand on the ice wasn't helping at all. It had, as ice does, numbed her hand already, and was not doing its job to ground and connect her to the living force. Maybe because it was made through the living force.

The squire then took her hand off the ice and set it over the water, which was cold too, but at least it didn't hurt her palm. She closed her eyes again and frowned in concentration, trying to get the same connection she had in the forest. It took some time, but she was able to see something. But it wasn't like she was expecting. Her vision felt nothing like Haarun Kaal. She wasn't able to see her surroundings, nor a clear path to said specific quarry, nor exactly what it was.

It was a quick vision, that lasted seconds. A library. It glowed a vibrant, warm orange. Sometimes it was nearly red, sometimes it dimmed to a yellow ocre. The bookshelves seemed alive like a fire. She wanted to look around and see inspect the other shelves but the vision ended there and cut her off.

Millu turned to her master after taking her hand off the water and drying it on her heavy poncho. "I don't know exactly what that was... I saw a library, and the shelves were glowing, but the whole thing was really fast and quite blurry, I wasn't able to see the way there. Nor the rest of the room. I'm sorry master, guess we'll have to explore the whole thing." She smiled. Inside, the nervous feelings mixed with excitment about seeing more of those ruins.
