Lightsaber, Refuge, Respite, Jedi Outcasts, Grafted into Stone
GH-531 is a rocky, windswept world. Once it was a close-held secret of the Galactic Empire of old, the location of a now defunct communication station. In more modern times, it's become a holdout. Previously held in the space of what was the Brotherhood of the Maw, remnants from the Dark Empire who had once followed the destructive path of the Brotherhood retreated to familiar territory. Setting up a small warlord state, they began to raid surrounding worlds to gather up manpower for a construction project. As of current their goal is unknown. They currently reside in an old Imperial prison complex, maintaining it's facilities similarly to how they would have functioned long ago. Those unlucky enough to get swept up in the pillaging of this warlord state find themselves confined, forced to work on menial tasks in a setup designed to work them to the bone. Some are refugees from the Core Worlds. Some are simple criminals, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Many will wind up dead.

Whatever it is that the Imperial Remnant here is developing has not yet been determined, but those with ties to the Jedi Outcasts managed to track a lost vessel of refugees back to this place. With a clear evil to strike down, the Outcasts have called on nearby able hands to mobilize a swift response. Fortunately, nature is on their side. While the prison had been holding against the frequent ion storms of the planet, the last one to pass was heavy. The ancient systems have faltered and left the complex vulnerable. To complete the operation, two task forces have been composed:

TASK FORCE I

A select few from the group, no more than a handful, have infiltrated the prison ahead of time. Planted in a dummy ship, they allowed themselves to be captured by the Imperial Remnant and incarcerated. These individuals have hidden their identity as Force users. When the time is right, they stand at the ready to insight a riot. There are a total of twelve floors, only three located above ground. Prisoners are housed at the bottom of the structure, with the rest of the facility reserved for construction. The control center is located on the bottom floor between the cells, heavily barricaded. It needs to be quickly seized while the power is down to ensure that the prison's security system does not come back online. The ancient Jedi Master Dillon Kai'el Dillon Kai'el leads this front.

TASK FORCE II

With the power down, the Imperial Remnant lacks the sensors to detect incoming ships. While a revolt begins on the inside, a strike team is dropped on the entrance to hit the forces of the warlord-state while they are unprepared. Their task is to cripple the operation of the complex and gather as much info as they can from various sever rooms, located on the fifth and seventh floor. Those joining the strike are advised to go out of their way to destroy any defenses they come across, be it turret or otherwise, just in case Task Force I is unable to complete their task.

With vessels en route from the Grafted into Stone, and several Jedi standing by inside the prison, all that's left to do is act....

The young shadow was more than happy to accompany the old man into the depths of enemy territory, hidden beneath the plain face of a civilian. He stayed pressed close to the holding cell's door, small frame tucked into the narrow spill of shadow beneath the bars, trying to keep his senses open for the signal to move.

The place reminded him too much of Tatooine, and of being trapped with Diodoros Diodoros in the Sunburnt Tomb, of heat caught in stone and the awful closeness of having nowhere to run. He tried not to let those old memories crawl up under his skin. He had a task and a purpose here and he would set his mind to focus on that.

His knuckles found the iron bars with a soft, idle sound.

Tap… tap-tap… pause.

It could have been seen as nerves or even just a bored child, making a little rhythm to pass the time.

Tap… pause… tap-tap-tap.

Beneath the innocent pattern was a question, pressed into the metal in pieces: Ready?

Braze kept his eyes lowered as he did it, pale lashes shading the jade green beneath. He let his shoulders hunch, and twisted his mouth into the faint, miserable expression of someone trying very hard not to seem afraid. Another set of taps slipped out, quieter this time, the sound swallowed by stone and distant machinery.

Tap-tap… pause… tap.

A shadow crossed the other side of the door. "Enough of that," a guard snapped.

Braze's hand stilled at once as he paused looking up at the guard.

The guard stepped closer, armor dark beneath the sour light of the corridor, one hand resting near the weapon at his hip. His boots stopped just beyond the threshold, close enough that Braze could see the dust caught in the seams of his greaves.

"I said enough," the guard repeated, voice lower now. "You trying to annoy me, little rat?"

Braze drew his hand back from the bars and tucked it close to his chest. "No, sir." The answer came soft, touched with the careful tremor of a frightened civilian. His gaze lifted only partway, never quite meeting the guard's eyes.

The guard' frowned with a grunt. "Then sit down. Quietly."

Braze obeyed in inches, lowering himself beside the door rather than away from it, knees drawn in, hands folded where they could be seen. He looked harmless there. He was quiet for a little bit of time...Then, with the toe of his boot, he brushed a loose pebble against the floor.

Scrape… pause… scrape-scrape.

The guard's head turned sharply-looking back at him. Braze froze, wide-eyed and still, as if he had not meant to make the sound at all. His fingers curled into the fabric at his knee.

The guard stared at him for a long, tense moment and Braze stared back like a frightened little creature...

The guard's head turned sharply-looking back at him. Braze froze, wide-eyed and still, as if he had not meant to make the sound at all. His fingers curled into the fabric at his knee.

The guard stared at him for a long, tense moment and Braze stared back like a frightened little creature...

"Easy now with the scowl, partner," Dillon called out, his tone far too light and jovial for the setting they were currently in. "S'only a lad, ain't he? A responsible adult is he who shows restraint and models good virtues, no?"

The older man walked up to the door of the cell, now the only thing in the line of sight. Of course, Dillon had picked up on the message that Braze had tapped out. A grin spreading across his face. He could feel it now, the terrible motion in the Force. This place was ancient, and it was only a matter of time before the next Ion Storm hit. The ancient Jedi Master could all but taste the charged particles in the air building up. That would be their signal to go. He offered Braze a look, as though to tell him to stay himself for just a moment.

He'd just run his mouth a little.

"Naturally, that may be something folks like yourself right struggle with, huh?" he noted, rubbing his chin. "Seem like you may be getting up in years... between that nasty Maw and the Dark Empire you've had a long lifetime of-"

It was about then that a second guard stormed up and reached through the bars. He grabbed the scruff of Dillon's tattered tunic and yanked him hard into the bars of the cell. The old Jedi turned his head to avoid smashing his nose. A soft dribble of blood would trickle down from where the side of his head hit the bar.

"Think you're smart, old bag?" the second guard hissed in a low tone. "Someone wants to relive the glory days and act tough, huh? Bet you got a starbird beside your bed. Thought it made you some kinda brave hero. All it's gonna do in here is get you gutted like a puffer pig. We'll see what virtues that teaches that snot-nosed brat."

Dillon let out a chuckle.

"No starbirds, I'm afraid," the Master responded casually. "Before my time... Don't think I ever stayed in one place long enough to get recognized by the Republic. Maybe it's for the best... might've been in poor taste after Malachor..."

The guard stood there in a daze for a moment, as if he was entirely lost on what he was hearing. Republic? Malachor? Anger quickly overtook him, and he slammed Dillon against the bars again.

"Quit your fethin' yammering!" the man snapped. "The hell are you even blabbing about?! You wanna die?!"

"Oh, relax..." Dillon responded, half way between a groan and a chuckle. "Just stalling for time is all. Lights out."

It was about then that an Ion Storm rocked the facility. It wasn't very noticeable at first, at least down in the basement of the place. The ancient Ion shielding had finally given way. It started slow. Flickering of the lights above would give way to violent crackling. Then they went out, some bursting with a hiss. The hallways lit up in a deep red hue, back up power hanging on by a thread. Dillon's grin grew ten fold. He barely had to muster up any strength, only lifting his hands. The air cracked as he pushed on the cell door with the Force, sending it flying off the hinges and into the guard. It all but drove him into the wall on the other side of the corridor. Something about the ancient blood in the Jedi's veins was potent. With a casual gait, he reached up and wiped the blood off of his brow.

"Time to dance, little shadow," he called back to Braze. "Been a while since I've seen you in action. Show me what you've learned."

Dillon was beaming with excitement. He was enjoying this.

He was enjoying this a lot.

The first guard stepped back, seemingly content to let his partner rough up the crazy old crackpot and taking this as a bit of personal entertainment.
Braze frowned at the display of violence against the old man. He curled his hands in to fists but stayed where he was taking a deep breath and letting it out very slowly on a controlled manner.

That bit of cruel joy lasted until the lights went out.

In the sudden wash of red emergency glow, he saw his coworker strewn across the corridor. Before he could raise his weapon, the pale youth was already moving. Braze's hand snapped out, small fingers spreading as the Force struck with a sudden, invisible shove. The guard was hurled back and up, armor clanging hard against the wall before he dropped into a crumpled heap atop his partner.

Braze moved in a blur to where the two men had fallen. He sank to one knee, quick hands searching with practiced care as he pulled their weapons free and set them aside. There were others they could free and arm, after all.

He stood, snapping several of the little glow-stick bracelets from his wrist, shaking them up and pulling one off and tossed it toward the old man.

"Catch."

The small band of chemical light spun through the dark, casting a thin green halo over the stone and steel. Braze padded over after it and offered Dillon one of the larger weapons he had pilfered from the indisposed guards, holding it out properly rather than throwing it like the little bracelet of light.

It gave them a little more light, enough to see a little better and make them more visible.

"I'm by your side, and I'll watch your back," Braze assured him.

He knew there were other dangers hidden among the prisoner populace. Even if they released everyone from their cells, that did not mean all of them would be grateful, or willing to let two strangers take the lead. Freedom could make frightened people frantic and it could make desperate people cruel. So Braze kept close, eyes moving through the red-lit corridor, watching the newly opened doors as carefully as he watched the path ahead.

He moved toward the right-hand row of cells and his hand lifted again, palm turned toward the nearest lock. The metal answered with a strained groan, pins dragging against old mechanisms as if something unseen had hooked beneath them and pulled. One latch clacked open, following by the clattering of another, and another as sounds flooded flying down the corridor one at a time.

"Anyone who can walk, move," Braze called, "Anyone who can fight, take a weapon. Stay behind cover until you know where the guards are."

He kept moving as he spoke, one hand guiding the doors open, the other ready at his side. The red emergency lights made a little ghost of him as he slipped from one cell to the next, pale hair catching each pulse of color in a reflective manner in the dark while the prison began to wake around them.

He hated being called unlucky, that was what the Soldiers with guns said when he was herded away, that was what the guards that led him to the ship said when they told him where he was going. Was any of this even legal? Deius couldn’t know just that as he left the starport he was rounded up along with everyone around him and told to fall in line.

Even a few of the prisoners who ended up with two black eyes and a broken nose between the two of them said when they tried to establish a pecking order in their cell. Deius kept a frown as he laid in his bunk, bitterly recounting the day’s labor and wondered if his exhaustion would end up being the reason he’d die on this forsaken planet.

Good, what else is left for you anyways?

The question stung him, it wasn’t like Deius to ever get this introspective but maybe he was indeed just too tired. He wasn’t sure if it was self pity, but something was gnawing at him and Deius tightened his eyes shut as he attempted to keep everything out of his head. He lifted up both his arms and held his fists tightly up in the air and right before he could slam them into his forehead a large crash and a thud was heard afterwards.

Deius opened his eyes, noticed that the cell had gotten rather dark with the occasional flash of the red service lights. He sat up and looked around to see several other prisoners move and shuffle about at the noise and commotion.

The guards weren’t attempting to establish order but instead a new voice echoed around them. Their cell opened up and Flappy, the prisoner with a black eye and a broken nose looked excitedly at Yappy, the prisoner with just a black eye. Deius raised an eyebrow and jumped down from his bunk and looked at the open cell door.

No guards had rushed into the hallway, instead more and more prisoners slowly picked themselves up and filed out of their cells. Deius was no exception, his eyes lit up with anger and excitement, he shoved the two prisoners Flappy and Yappy forward so he could exit his cell.

“I guess it's their turn to get unlucky.”

He muttered darkly, he stretched his hands against one another and then tightened them once more into fists. Freedom never felt so sweet, a blessing of a distraction from his own mental prison.

TASK FORCE 2 - Their job was simple. Create and sew chaos. They were not babysitters, they did not have to consider anything other than bringing down power grids and drawing attention away from what was really happening.

This was going to be fun.

It was different, not riding in on the Vigilant Reaper, but for operational mission success, they needed to come in together so there they were, among everyone else in this shuttle. Everyone was quiet, they were all pros, silently going over what they had studied, their weapons already checked, their gear online and ready, it was just a matter of getting the green light.

Connel was sitting in a corner, on a holo with Lira checking in. The conversation was short and she jokingly threatened him not to die or she would kill him before they said “goodbye”s and he cut the feed. Then came something few people every get to see. The difference between “Connel Vanagor”, Jedi Knight, and “Ariel” Assault Specialist Operator with Omega Squad. Pulling on the visored mask may seem like nothing more than what it looked like, but the process compartmentalizes his emotions, almost putting him into a ritualistic trance, only hearing in his mind…

... you will feel no remorse for those you face will feel none to you…
… you will feel no emotion other than to protect your comrades and the innocent…
… you will seek no reward other than mission success…
… you will feel no pain other than death…
… you are the Light’s wraith…

I get the willys every time he does that…

Sssh… do you want him to hear you?

The ship skimmed low across the terrain, close enough that even a slight drift would have torn metal against stone. Hands rested lightly against the controls, guiding the vessel through the darkness with measured precision while the engines remained throttled low. Quiet. Controlled. The less attention drawn now, the better.

Others would hit the facility head-on. Draw fire. Break the line. Create enough chaos for Omega Squad to punch through where it mattered.

My role was different. Interference.

Reports suggested the enemy lacked substantial anti-air support, but reports had a habit of turning optimistic once the shooting started. It only took one emplacement powering online or a single fighter lifting into the sky to complicate the entire operation. If anything attempted to contest the airspace tonight, I intended to kill it before it became a problem.

And if the ground collapsed? Extraction remained an option.

The gunship carried enough armor, shielding, and firepower to survive far more punishment than anything planetside should reasonably throw at it. If Omega needed an exit, I would be there. If they needed reinforcements instead, I could put the ship down and enter the fight myself.

The hum of the engines vibrated faintly beneath my boots as the terrain rushed beneath the cockpit. Flying low enough to avoid most scans, I reached for the comm controls without taking my eyes from the approach.

"Void One to Omega Squad. Eyes are in the sky. Beginning opening run."

Short. Clear. Enough. The throttle eased forward beneath my hand. The ship surged ahead. Targeting systems flickered alive across the cockpit as the outer defenses came into view. A second later, the warhead launchers fired.

Missiles screamed through the night.

The gunship's cannons opened immediately after, strafing across barricades, weapon emplacements, and anything unfortunate enough to still be standing in the open. Fire tore across the approach in controlled bursts, violent enough to drag every set of eyes upward and away from the real insertion point.

Exactly where I wanted them looking.

"Strike fast, Omega. Window's open."

Red warning lights pulsed through the corridor in time with the shriek of the alarm, bathing the curved durasteel walls in an eerie crimson glow. Sakadi’s lightsaber was a fan of blue through the haze, punching back the angry scarlet bolts that streaked toward her. More shots hissed past, scorching black marks into the walls as she twisted and danced aside with practiced grace.

There were more of them now, and better armed than the last patrol she had encountered.

So much for catching them by surprise. They’re organising properly now.

She had been among the first of the Outcasts to penetrate this deeply into the base. Of that, she was certain. While the revolt spread through the lower levels, she roamed the upper corridors alone, drawing attention away from the server rooms as best she could. It was a matter of sowing chaos and breaking their coordination. To force the defenders to divide themselves.

A bolt ricocheted toward her shoulder. In one seamless motion, the blue blade swept aside to intercept it before continuing into the blast door’s control panel. Sparks erupted in a shower as the panel exploded beneath the strike.

The soldiers shouted over the crackling static of their radios, breaking into frantic sprints the instant they realised what she had done. But the heavy blast door was already grinding shut between them.

Sakadi turned just as it slammed closed with a thunderous clang behind her. That would keep at least one squad occupied for a while. And undoubtedly, they would already be calling ahead for others to intercept her.

She drew a long, measured breath, steadying the rapid beat of her heart. It had been far too long since she had fought like this. The thrill of battle left every nerve alive with energy, urging her onward. Urging her to keep moving.

As did the fear.

With a sharp hiss, her lightsaber deactivated, plunging her once more into the red gloom of the emergency lighting. Sakadi closed her eyes for the briefest moment and recentered herself within the Force. Stoic resolve anchored her firmly in the Light, washing the strain from her features and replacing it with remarkable calm.

Then, with quiet confidence, she strode onward through the corridor as though nothing in the galaxy could possibly bar her path.

Reaching out with her telepathic acumen, she brushed against the nearest familiar signatures she could sense through the Force. She shaped her thoughts into a disembodied voice and sent it outward.

~ I’m drawing them away from the server rooms, but they’re organising quickly. We’re losing the initiative with every passing minute. ~

~ I’ll attempt to do something about that, but assistance would be appreciated. Except… ~

She slowed at a junction between corridors, silver hair swaying gently as her gaze flicked left, then right.

~ I have absolutely no idea where I am. ~

"Take control, Blip."

Jasper spoke orders to his astromech before he popped the cockpit of his Epo-1 open. With a steady balance, he climbed out onto one of the articulating side wings. It flexed a little under his weight. With him he carried a Rocket Launcher, which he calmly loaded. He hadn't used it since Corellia, when the Galactic Empire was moving on the Green Jedi. It put Diktat Dracken Pryce Dracken Pryce in his mind for a moment. He wondered how the man fared after the High Republic secured most of Corellian Space...

Well, all but for his own home planet. Sacorria was still lost in the cloud of the Sith.

The gunship's cannons opened immediately after, strafing across barricades, weapon emplacements, and anything unfortunate enough to still be standing in the open. Fire tore across the approach in controlled bursts, violent enough to drag every set of eyes upward and away from the real insertion point.

The Jedi Master let out an exhale as he watched hell fire down on the complex. Turrets and vehicles, what few they had, went up in flames. The shell of the facility was torn open like an egg hitting duracrete. It fractured and lost sizable chunks. Even so, the mangled scrap of the upper walls had given way to a lower level of armor. This place had been clearly made to last, engineered for longevity. Of course, that wasn't going to halt their entry. They had already made up their minds.

-"Thanks for softening it up,"- Jasper spoke into his comms. -"Eyes on the door, people."-

From there, Jasper fired his rocket, locked onto the weakened part of the door. The impact was violent, sending fire and shrapnel flying everywhere. The blast would take down the front door of the complex, as well as chunks of the no-longer reinforced wall. It took a few moments for the Imperial Remnant Garrison to shake off the shock and scramble to meet the assault.

They were on the backfoot.

Jasper would leap down when his ship was low enough, and his astromech would turn the vessel around and begin taking it to safety. He'd pat his hands against his cheeks to psyche himself up for another fight before he drew his lightsaber and advanced on the door.

~ I’ll attempt to do something about that, but assistance would be appreciated. Except… ~

-Copy, Sinvala.-

A voice would return on the communicator, control up in the bridge of the Grafted into Stone. The voice of a yellow Togruta who had been present when they were briefed would come through, the signal slightly choppy from the interference of the last Ion Storm.

-Seventh floor is down two from you,- the voice instructed. -Looks like you got an elevator shaft down the hall to your right flank. No power though, so you're gonna have to climb a little to get there. Good news, elevator is stuck on the seventh floor, so all you gotta do is drop down on it and slip through the top hatch. And.... oh boy. Looks like there's a party in there. Several life signatures. Poor bastards must've gotten stuck. See what you can do about them and I'll find you a path through the noise to the server room.-

"Catch."

The small band of chemical light spun through the dark, casting a thin green halo over the stone and steel. Braze padded over after it and offered Dillon one of the larger weapons he had pilfered from the indisposed guards, holding it out properly rather than throwing it like the little bracelet of light.

Dillon caught the glow bracelet with a casual hand, slipping it over his wrist. Than he accepted the large rifle that Braze had pilfered off the guard. He examined it for a moment, almost with a scrutinizing gaze before he shrugged.

"Uncivilized thing," he chuckled. "May be right useless in my hands... I'm admittedly a bit out of practice with such a thing."

Then the Jedi Master cocked his head. Words behind him, muffled. Even so, he heard them spoken with some weight behind them...

“I guess it's their turn to get unlucky.”

The older man glanced back and assessed the stranger with a glance over, then grinned widely. Rough and tumble type, serious expression, latent determination. A young sort of folk carrying a lot of baggage. He held himself like a warrior. That was a vehicle for chaos if he ever saw one. Dillon would raise his voice and call out.

"Hey, young man! With the red eyes! Catch!"

Dillon would toss the rifle over to him, trusting he would catch it. Then, without any more words of acknowledgement, he turned back to the dark corridor ahead.

"Control room should be in the dead center of the floor," he stated to Braze. "Reinforced behind three security checkpoint sections. Probably gonna be swarming with junked up burly sorts who are mighty angsty after their Empire got shoved around. Might get real nasty."

With that, the old man would fold his hands behind his back and walk forward with a sway in his step.

TASK FORCE 2 - The moment they were clear, they were gone and fast. Even with the advancing Garrison, they were moving ahead of them. The teams were well trained and highly disciplined, but they were basic, at best. The Imps were dug in and had position on them, but their weapons were standard issue, they also did not have a Jedi running with them.

Sariel was blasting holes in helmets that popped up from cover, just enough for Raphael to pull “Bertha” his rotary gun and sweep the room. This was the opening that Michael needed to put together a shaped charge and slapped it against a corner.

Move! The explosion would not destroy any access for Athena Athena Voidstalker or anyone else, but any advantage the Imperials would think they had was gone unless they decided to start digging out of the rubble.

This was not a stealth mission, not rendition, this was assault, plain and simple. The first target of theirs was the armory. There was always one per floor, this was an Imperial Installation, it didn’t matter who, they were all predictable enough to do the same thing, the same layout.

Armory next left.

Load up on powercells. Gabe…

Busy shutting down iffs.

What does that do?

Imps can’t tell where their people are. Neither can droids.

Covering the door.

Charge is ready, let’s go.

Nitya hadn't come along to lead. Instead she was support. Others were here for the assault; she wasn't built that way. But she understood their necessity. The people here did not all deserve mercy, and she was glad she wasn't going to be the one dealing the retribution.

She was almost as empathic as her mother, and as the shuttle ramp lowered, the tension hit her. The prisoners' emotions below and the adrenaline-fueled yet calm teams fueled Nitya to prepare herself for what lay ahead of them all. The task forces and teams rushed past her with discipline written on their faces.

Half a lifetime ago, Nitya had been thrown into a battle not too different from this. Her then Jedi master had expected her to lead without knowing the first thing about it. Now she didn't even remember the outcome, but it was one of the catalysts in her life, and she had gone into seclusion. Oralis Prime had become a home to her, and this was the first time since she had moved there that she had set foot off of it. Joining the flow of the arriving people, the dark-haired former Jedi reached into the Force.

Reaching out to those nearby and around her, Valor flowed between all of them. Something similar to Battle Meditation, but not quite as strong or potent. It helped in almost the same manner, but it required the person to be within sight. As the troops expanded outward, she retained her steady pace.

Blasterfire lit the upper levels in violent bursts of red and white. Somewhere deeper inside, Sakadi's presence flickered through the Force, sharp with motion and pressure. Nitya slowed near the shattered entrance while strike teams pushed ahead.

Then Sakadi's voice brushed through the Force. I'm drawing them away from the server rooms, but they're organizing quickly. We're losing the initiative with every passing minute.

Nitya closed her eyes, letting her awareness slip deeper into the prison's tangled corridors, fear, aggression, movement, and the metallic thrum of converging squads all threading together through the structure.

Then she felt it. Recognition. A familiar presence was pinned between advancing forces. Her answer flowed back with quiet certainty. Left corridor at the next junction. Two squads from the eastern hall. One heavier signature behind them.

A heartbeat later, softer now: You are not alone in there.

Another explosion shook dust from the ceiling. Ahead, Omega Squad carved deeper into the facility while defenders scrambled beneath failing systems and collapsing communications. The entire prison strained under the weight of revolt and invasion.

And through it all, Nitya kept walking, steady and deliberate, her presence holding frightened minds together while the battle threatened to tear everything else apart.

"I'll handle defensive actions then; Unless you want me else where. " Braze chirped. He could work on deflection well enough for any barrage they sent their way, even without a saber in hand. He fell back a bit and offered a friendly smile to Deius Koman'na Deius Koman'na .

"Don't worry friend, I got you covered,"
he said gently. "I'm Braze, by the way." He slipped off a glow bracelet in a vibrant bright purple, offering it over. "Just be careful to think about what's also behind your target, eh?"

objective 2:

the morat fighter flew above the complex, a droid piloting it. a large section was damaged due to the fire from another's ship, lucky for him, novac thought. as the ramp to the ship opened up novac and kairo jumped out landing next to the damaged section. novac drew his 4 sabers and started cutting a hole for the two of them to go in to. it didnt take to long. they dropped in and where met by 4 very confused and a little panicked soldiers. novac quickly cut them down. "ok kairo, now we just cause some chaos, well thats what we're suppose to due. i say we do that and take some thing the Imperials wont be needing shall we".

Deius nearly found himself nursing a bruise but caught the rifle against his chest and arms. It was a foreign notion to him to be given something, anything, for free in a prison. Outside of a beating that is. But Deius smiled viciously as he grasped the rifle and held it as if he was given a sacred object. His smile quickly vanished as he adjusted the stock and found how to engage the safety, a prison break was hardly a place to waste test shots.

The voice that had called out earlier to the prisoners they were helping breaking out had moved closer to Deius. The older man that threw the weapon had probably gotten him unearned attention, the younger guy offered a smile and offered a glowing purple bracelet. Another free thing. He skipped a step and barely held onto the bracelet with a confused look but accepted it all the same.

“Deius.” He answered to Braze, unwilling to return a smile but kept himself scowling. “And I’ll keep that in mind before I shoot.” He agreed.

While he wanted to return hurt for hurt against the guards, he would feel rather stupid if he shot out door controls by accident. For a moment his eyes glanced at the bracelet around his right wrist before he returned his attention to the hallway ahead. The Older man and Braze were certainly different from the average prisoners that he had toiled with the last few weeks. Something was strange, the timing of the power being turned off and all, but if the Older Man wanted to head into danger first, Deius wasn't about to argue.

“We’re gonna lose a lot of prisoners attempting to breach the Control Room.” Deius eyed the many prisoners. All eager to escape but many of the veteran prisoners were malnourished or injured.

“But I’ll trust you Braze and the older guy for now.”

His hands tightened around the rifle and readied himself. Maybe if they all reached the surface he’ll repay their kindness with a smile and a thank you. Or maybe a positive sounding grunt of appreciation. After all he still needed to get off this planet. They might be the generous types while Deius was more the stingy kind.

“We’re gonna lose a lot of prisoners attempting to breach the Control Room.”

"That's war," Dillon stated rather bluntly. "That is why those who are able will take point, hm?"

From there he turned his head back to Braze.

"Defense is well and good," he noted, "But let it not stay your hand. Our enemy will send us powerful things. Return them to sender."

The old man would lead by example, a casualness in his step as he headed the newly forming, through still frazzled prison break. He would round the corner, where a detachment of guards stationed had already begun to set up barricades in front of the first checkpoint. Clearly the noise of the initial violence had rallied them to take preventative measures. A flurry of plasma-fire lit up the dark hallway as Dillon walked, clearly undeterred. Some would wizz by his head, as though willed to miss. Then, the old Jedi would raise his hand. He'd catch five blaster bolts with a gentle ease and flick them back as though swatting a gnat. Five men fell, bolts straight through their helmets between the eyes. A good ten or so kept firing, not having the luxury of being able to stop and process what was approaching them.

"Come along," the Master called back to the others. "Let's not dawdle now. We have much ground to cover."

And they did have to do so in a timely manner. That didn't mean that he wasn't going to have fun with this.

Sergeant Omen

Arc Trooper Sergeant of the 41st Elite Corps
Objective 1

Omen had stayed to himself during intake, thinking how crazy this plan was as he was given inmate clothes and pushed into Gen Pop of this massive place. The Jedi's plan made sense at least on paper... Break in, get some piece of data and save the galaxy. Still there was a lot of guards and other defenses to get through and he doubted Team 2 would be able to get all of them.

When the riot began, Omen quietly rosed himself from his bunk. Seemed like everything had been going to plan so far. The Chaos flowing around him, the shouts and cries as the guard and inmates battled against one another. Looked like he was home. Just as a group of guards rushed past his cell, they didn't notice a vine across their path producing from a bag of dirt in Omen's hand that he had convinced the guards it was too much trouble to take it off of his person with his scowling face. That decision would come back to haunt them.

After making sure the guards in front of his cell were knocked out, he picked up one of the riot shotguns, baton and the guard's ammo belts. This was going to be a long battle of attrition, and he would need every round.

Seeing the unmistakable white hair in the crowd, Omen approached in time to see the old man speak, raising an eyebrow as he watched the Jedi deflecting blaster bolts, not being able to help but think. Okay, maybe these Jedi aren't crazy after all. Looks like they brought their hard hitters in... Still, they would need more than one Jedi Master to make this riot work so they could escape this rock. They would need to keep the guard's heads on a swivel if this breakout was to succeed.

Braze would feel his presence before his hand rested on the young man's shoulder. "Well, if you wanted a riot, you got it. I need to get the green houses. Hopefully what I can do there I can give you the distraction you need to get into the Control Room." It was then he had the chance to glance at his companion, a young man with red eyes that reminded him alot of Korda's, bring a small smile to his face. And maybe he was wrong, but he thought he saw a fire in those eyes only a warrior would have. "Ibic little akaan an gar hoped par boy?" (This little war all you hoped for Boy?). Maybe he was wrong to think the boy was Mandalorian and maybe Deius wouldn't even know the words he was speaking but Omen had been surprised before and would be surprised again.

Omen didn't stay for long in the central area, moving down the corridors towards what he thought was the way to hydroponics bay was located. Any guard that got in his way quickly received a rubber bullet or a baton strike to the gut. Today was Liberation Day for these prisoners, whether they deserved it or not. And no one was about to get in his way.

"Defense is well and good," he noted, "But let it not stay your hand. Our enemy will send us powerful things. Return them to sender."
Braze winked at Deius Koman'na Deius Koman'na when Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen stepped up beside him. He offered the man a mock salute, then turned the gesture quickly toward the younger lad.

"Pleasure, meetin' ya Deius. Yell my name if you need my assistance."

He chirped the words softly before bounding forward, catching anything Dillon Kai'el Dillon Kai'el missed and drawing the stray energy into himself as he moved left and right in a pale blur of terrifying speed. He didn't need to be told twice to go on the offensive, but even as he advanced, his Force senses remained open. One part of his awareness stayed on Deius Koman'na Deius Koman'na , keeping the young man tucked into the edge of his mental periphery as a secondary focus, even when distance stretched between them.

He didn't have much time to truly marvel at everything Dillon Kai'el Dillon Kai'el could do. There was work to be done now, though later he would certainly be gushing to the old master about how 'cool' he was, and just how much 'aura' he had been practically farming with such nonchalant ease.

The energy Braze had absorbed gathered under his skin in a bright, humming pressure, threading through his arm until the fine bones of his hand seemed to glow beneath the surface. His breath drew in as the noise around him thinned to a distant roar as he raised his hand, thumb cocked, index finger extended in a childish little gun gesture that looked almost ridiculous against the violence of the moment.

Almost, being the key word.

A bead of light kindled at the tip of his finger, small at first, then swelling with a sharp, golden-white intensity. The air around it tightened. Dust lifted from the ground in a faint ring around his boots. Stray sparks of gathered Force energy snapped inward, feeding the growing sphere until it burned bright enough to cast bright light across his face and catch in his jade-green eyes.

Braze tilted his finger toward the first security checkpoint.

"Pew."

The gathered light compressed to a single point, then snapped forward as he blasted a stronger bolt of energy ahead, aimed head-on toward the first security checkpoint.

The storm had worsened. Lightning crawled across the clouds overhead in violent flashes, illuminating the terrain below in brief moments before throwing everything back into darkness. Static hissed softly through the cockpit while warning glyphs flickered across the edges of my targeting displays. The ion interference was steadily degrading long-range scans.

Good.

One hand rested against the throttle while the other adjusted power distribution across the ship. I kept the engines deliberately restrained, lowering the heat signature as the gunship skimmed low across the terrain barely above the surface. Fast enough to move. Slow enough to disappear.

The Imperials were adapting. Or trying to.

Ever since the relay towers went dark, their communications had started bleeding over one another. Sensor returns kept collapsing beneath the storm interference. Anti-air batteries repositioned every time I briefly appeared on their scopes before vanishing back into the weather. Entire targeting solutions were being wasted on false returns and fragmented readings.

Ghost contact. False return. By now they were chasing shadows as much as they were chasing me. Exactly the point. I rolled the ship sharply between canyon walls before disappearing beneath another layer of storm cover. One moment visible. The next swallowed entirely by black cloud and static distortion. My eyes stayed fixed ahead as targeting markers flickered intermittently across the cockpit glass.

Convoy. Armor and reinforcement transports moving toward the prison approach. Wrong direction. I pulled the gunship upward through the storm just long enough for the targeting systems to establish lock before dropping back beneath the cloud layer again.

The warheads launched a second later.

Missiles screamed downward through the rain before the first explosion tore across the lead transport. Fire erupted violently through the convoy as secondary detonations followed behind it, throwing vehicles apart and scattering the entire formation into confusion. Secondary ammunition cooked off moments later, sending another wave of fire rolling through the remaining transports as personnel scrambled for cover in complete disarray.

I didn't stay long enough to watch the aftermath. The ship was already diving low again, engines throttled back as the storm swallowed my position completely. By the time return fire reached the sky, there was nothing left for them to hit except rain, static, and darkness. The comms crackled softly beside me.

"Void One to Omega. Reinforcements delayed."

A flash of lightning illuminated the cockpit for half a second before fading again.

"Western approach should stay clear for now."

Silence followed immediately after. No wasted words. No prolonged chatter. My attention had already shifted elsewhere.

Targeting displays flickered across the cockpit as I skimmed low through the storm, filtering through fragmented scans, thermal blooms, and failing sensor returns. Most of the movement across the battlefield didn't matter. Infantry caught in the confusion posed little threat from this distance. Isolated armor without anti-air support could be ignored for now. Burning resources on targets that weren't immediate threats only increased the chances of eventually getting caught.

No.

Priority stayed with anything capable of shifting the battlefield. Sensor arrays. Mobile command vehicles. Remaining anti-air batteries. Hangars. Fuel reserves. Anything coordinating Imperial response. Anything capable of stabilizing the chaos already spreading through the compound. That was the real target. Not destruction for the sake of destruction. Controlled collapse.

Another fragmented radar contact flickered across the display before disappearing again beneath ion interference. My eyes narrowed slightly as I adjusted course, already planning the next attack vector before the Imperials had fully realized what had hit them the first time.

Appear.
Strike.
Disappear.

Never long enough to track. Never predictable enough to corner.

Outside the cockpit, another wave of lightning ripped across the clouds overhead while the gunship vanished deeper into the storm once again.

TASK FORCE 2 -
The armory was looted to the best of their capabilities. Explosives were shoved in duffels, powercells were crammed into packs, and what little medical supplies were grabbed. They were loaded down, but unaffected by the weight, they trained for this.

Charges are set, let’s move.

Like that, Michael took the point, boots crunching over broken glass and shrapnel as they moved out of the armory and into the corridor beyond. The air was thick with duct and acrid and then… BOOM… the charges detonated behind them, sealing the armory and ensuring the ceiling collapse keeping anyone from following. The corridor ahead, dimly lit by flickering emergency lights stretched out for what appeared to be an eternity. The silence was deafening, only broken by the crunch of their boots and the distant sounds of explosions and weapons fire.

They were not continuing down the corridor though. No, Raphael and Raguel were busy opening one of the disabled turbolift shafts. With disciplined ease they pried the doors open as Michael set more charges, sealing off their route from anyone thinking they could follow. Then, one by one down the shaft. Getting everyone down was the easy part. Now they had to get into the next floor, the one that the tactical map said held all of the server rooms. The shaft was dark, the only light coming from the glow of their visors and the occasional spark from damaged cables.

This wasn’t just a descent; it was a tactical insertion into the heart of the facility. Connel was moving ahead, as if he sensed something, none of them questioned it. He was not the leader, but if he did, or said something then there was a good reason for it. There was a thick acrid feeling to the air, the smell of ozone and scorched walls.

Set a perimeter.

You heard him.

Michael was setting charges against the walls as members of the team watched the corridors. The chances of ambush were high, but that is what they were trained for and thus expecting. Gabriel was busy looking at the tactical map. The server rooms were on this floor.

Not for long.

They knew exactly were Connel was, not that they could see him, but hear the fighting. WEAPONS fire, saber cutting, and Imperials yelling, he had their attention, ambushed the ambushers.
