  • Escort: The Aranar does exactly what it is supposed to - act as a defensive escort for larger ships, packing some extensive firepower for deterrent.

  • Protector: The frigate boasts substantial defence measures as well, which makes it very difficult to take it out of the equation to get close to bigger vessels.

  • Hangar Space: Though the Frigate doesn't have an extensive amount of support craft that could help it out in a pickle, it has extensive space to carry other things than just support craft, like a vast amount of Mandalorian warriors.

  • Not speedy: The Aranar is not exactly a fast frigate, making it easy to pick off for faster craft. By the time the ship figures out it is in someone's sights, it's already too late for it. It won't be able to get out of the way in time.

  • A sitting duck: When the Star Anchor is engaged, the frigate is quite literally a sitting duck against other maneuvers. They might have reinforced shielding, but it is heavily power draining, so it limits everything else that can be exploited in a fight.

  • Intricate Technology: The Aranar has some intricate technology, weapons and defences. If something goes wrong somewhere, Johnny and his astromech won't be able to do a quick-fix, as most systems require specialist hands to sort out the problem or to fix damage. If you don't know what you are doing, you may just blow up the ship.

Continuing the trend of modernising the Mythos Fleet, Kestri Hypernautics has put forth its next creation - the Aranar-Class Escort Frigate - a powerful Frigate designed to hit hard, keeping enemies at a distance while also acting as a shield for bigger and slower ships - a true defender.

It boasts some powerful armaments created to hit other capital ships hard and carries some proper defences that can withstand a bit of onslaught from bigger ships before falling to them.

The Aranar is not exactly fast, nor is it a Carrier, making it a bit vulnerable, yet it makes up for it with its arms and defences. It is, after all, designed to stay a bit more put and act as picket for motherships.

It is a proper modernised addition to the growing Fleet.
