Role: Black ops team leader, assassin droid.
Permissions: Permission for all ArmaTech gear and all other subs made by Laira Darkhold's writer here and here. Permission for Vanir items here.
Links: Malediction HRD.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION
Age: Five years old. Appears in her twenties
Model: Malediction HRD.
Appearance: She is an HRD, so her organic exterior conceals a machine. Outwardly Helga appears to be a dark-haired human woman in her late 20s. She is of above average height for a human female, appears very strong, fit and trim. There is a scar on the left side of her chin. She has medium length black hair, hazel eyes and a complexion commonly described as olive.
In combat she tends to wear combat armour depending on the situation. Outside of combat she will wear civilian clothes in order to blend in, though she will stick to attire that is practical and will not hinder her in combat. In life Helga was a soldier and her HRD self still uses martial professions to blend in.

SOCIAL INFORMATION
Name
: Agent Helga.
Loyalties: Team Mirage, Archangel Research and Design, Iron Fist Consortium, Revenant Industries, Typhos Clone Family, Enyo.
Notable Equipment:

Skills: Skilled infiltrator, pilot, poisoner, ranged weapons and melee specialist. The template of the assassin droid was a One Sith black ops operative. The skills she possessed as an organic have carried over to her mechanical self. She is capable of supervising and directing tactical operations. Can speak and understand several million forms of communication. Enyo has given her the necessary training to use a lightsabre in combat, even against Force-Users. She employs lightsabre forms that do not require the Force to use and do not draw on emotion, namely Shii-Cho, Makashi and Djem So. Due to being a droid she has the coordination to dual-wield. On an idiosyncratic note, Helga is quite good at playing the piano. It was one of her childhood skills that her father was supportive of.

Personality: Helga, like any HRD, is logical, tireless and dedicated to her role. As an infiltrator or socially she can fill any personality required by the situation. This can involve a bit of seduction and persuasion, or more ruthless action. She is not cruel, but does not value sentient life. She will do anything to complete the mission her controller has given her.

However, Helga is not purely a creature of logic and directives. Unless they are subjected to frequent mind wipes, the droids develop an independent personality of sorts. Moreover, like every Archangel HRD, she is not a 'pure' machine. Her mind is based on an organic template. The human Helga was a One Sith black ops operative. Her father was a Sith Lord who wanted to produce a human master race. To this end, he created a 'supersoldier' programme. Disappointed by the fact that his child was both a girl and a Non-Force-User, he inducted her into the programme and subjected her to a series of dangerous experiments. She served as his hatchet woman for many years, until she and her comrades turned on their by now insane master, who had decided that the Galaxy deserved to burn for rejecting the rule of the One Sith.

Many of the personality traits of her human self have carried over. The human Helga was already an extremely ruthless, pitiless woman, so being processed did not change that. She is a pitiless killer and thinks nothing of using whatever method she considers the most practical way to complete her objectives. She will not hesitate to utilise weapons often considered inhumane, such as nerve gas, land mines or disruptors, or use terrorist methods. Loss of innocent life does not bother her.

She is utterly indifferent to organic morality. However, her human self was very loyal to her team members. They had a very strong 'us' against 'them' mentality. She continues to lead her team in unlife, for her comrades were processed into machines as well. There is a bond between them and they have shown a tendency to be protective of each other and even take great risks to aid one another in battle. Another of her more 'human' traits that has carried over is her fondness for animals.

Moreover, Helga has retained her antipathy towards Jedi and Sith. Enyo has some Sith minions and associates such as Darth Libertas and Nur Jahan, but Helga will not take orders from them. Indeed, she has put them under surveillance without being ordered to. Perhaps she does this in the hopes of acquiring information that would convince her controller of the necessity of eliminating them. Since her human self had to work her way up in a system where she was looked down on, she uses any opportunity she has to get back at the 'great and good', be it Jedi, Sith or other 'uppity' Force-Users.

Her vindictive tendencies may at times conflict with her usual cold logic. The same applies to the attachment she feels for her team members. Outside of combat Helga has enough free will to alternate her behaviour depending on her interactions. Helga will diligently complete any task given to her by her controller Enyo, but is quite convinced that her skills are best used for the purpose of terminating other beings and will express annoyance if assigned tasks she considers beneath someone of her skills.

Her human self was a covert ops operative, so she is very good at adapting, blending in and putting on a mask. She can fake anger, friendliness, attraction, awe, concern, and even compassion. Helga is programmed to obey Enyo's orders and complete any tasks the Cyborg gives her. If she finds a course of action ill-advised or considers it to be a poor use of her skills, she can voice her disagreement and suggest alternatives, but she is unable to disobey a direct order from her controller. Helga gets on with Neda Chazzak - or at least as far as a murderous assassin droid can get on with anyone. Like her, Neda was once a One Sith minion. In the Zabrak's case, she was a street ganger who was conscripted into the Stormtrooper Corps. The fact that they get along is ironic since Helga's father was a human supremacist and passed on his beliefs to his child. However, she has discarded them by now.

COMBAT INFORMATION
Weapon of Choice
: Lightsabre, various types of melee and ranged weapons, as well as poisons and explosives.
Combat Function: Helga is an assassin droid of the highest calibre. She is skilled in the use of a variety of ranged and melee weapons, can pilot, provide tactical advice and act as a team leader. Moreover, she is a capable infiltrator who can blend into social situations, strike unexpectedly and terminate her targets. Being an HRD she is incredibly strong, resilient and fast.

The overall combat function of Team Mirage, the unit she commands, could be compared to Inferno Squad or a more covert version of Havoc Squad. It is meant for special operations and wet work, not frontline battles. Helga can supervise tactical operations, train allied forces, perform recon, sabotage, assassinations, acts of terrorism, false flag attacks and other things that fall under this umbrella.

She is a good sharpshooter, melee combatant and has been trained in the use of a lightsabre. Though she does not have the Force she spars with Enyo and it is a very useful melee weapon even if she can’t use it to the full potential a Jedi or Sith might. Helga has learned how to use a lightsabre to block an attack with Force Lightning though. Obviously this works better when it is a single bolt than an area-of-effect attack.

She cannot use lightsabre forms that draw heavily on emotion and/or the Force. She is very skilled in Shii-Cho, Makashi and Djem So. Due to being a droid she also has the coordination to use Jar'kai work, though she may also use her off-hand for punching/grappling/gunslinging. Her weight gets in the way of using the expansive acrobatics of Ataru, while Juyo is too reliant on emotions and the Force. She can employ Soresu techniques when duelling someone in melee, but is less good at using it to block blaster bolts. Though this is not her primary role, Helga is trained to fight Force-Users in combat.

Her sophisticated programming enables her to operate alone or as a team and learn from experience. Due to the use of Pyronium circuitry, her model of HRD is able to absorb ion, electrical and EMP discharges. Indeed, the attacks that would normally harm the machine empower it. This is because the energy is absorbed by the Pyronium and subsequently diverted to specialised converters, to feed its hardware and software applications. This is particularly helpful for duelling Sith or Jedi, as their go-to move once they discover her mechanical nature would be to blast her with Force Lightning, Destroy Droid or similar.

She excels at infiltration and has the ability to mimic voices, and simulate organic behaviour, including emotion. Nonetheless, while her mimicry is near-flawless, the HRD is not infallible. Anyone able to detect her weight will find it off, whilst someone able to do a deep scan may notice oddities. Moreover, a perceptive mentalist or empath could sense that something is off as the machine beneath is not truly living and lacks internal emotion. This would require strong focus though. It is easier to use mental powers to detect that something is not right in one-on-one interactions instead of while the HRD is in the midst of a crowd. Damage to her organic covering will reveal her true nature by showing the metal beneath her skin.

Strengths:

  • (From Malediction Sub) The unit is optimised to protect the most crucial components of droids, namely their circuits. To this end, this design utilises a combination of Pyronium and more commonly available droid components. This provides excellent protection against EMP, electricity and ion attacks, the most common hazards a droid faces. Indeed, the attacks that would normally harm the machine empower it. This is because the energy is absorbed by the Pyronium and subsequently diverted to specialised converters, to feed its hardware and software applications.
  • Highly skilled infiltrator and lethal killing machine. She can infiltrate, act as an assassin, special purpose operator and direct tactical operations. Being a machine she does not tire, feel fear, pain or remorse. She is incredibly strong, fast and resilient. Helga has received training from Enyo in the use of a lightsabre; training which has been added to her databanks. Though her lack of the Force prevents her easily blocking blaster bolts or doing expansive acrobatics she is a very capable duellist and can fight without tiring.
Weaknesses:
  • HRDs are tough, but she can still be destroyed. Heavy weapons, grenades, lightsabres, repeated blaster bolts etc can still deactivate her. They eyes of the unit are especially weak, being not made of metal like the rest of the frame. An attack there has far more chance of doing damage there. Her body may be very resilient to the usual banes of machines, but its protection against lightsabres is no better than that of a standard HRD or war droid.
  • Because she lacks Force precognition, she cannot use a lightsabre as well as even an Apprentice when it comes to blocking blaster bolts. She might detect and calculate the path of an enemy shot but blocking it is not easy. This especially applies against multiple opponents or those using blaster weapons with a high rate of fire.
  • She is heavier than she appears she should be, the result of her metal skeleton. Around Force users she will feel ‘odd’. Further, damage to her organic covering will reveal her nature.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

For millennia, galactic history has been defined by the seemingly never-ending conflict between Jedi and Sith. It is an infinite cycle of religious wars between both Force sects. Despite their best attempts, neither sect has ever been able to exterminate its rival for good. The wars between Light and Dark leave devastation in their wake. The common people of the Galaxy are the ones caught in the crossfire and are forced to act as footsoldiers. Darth Reinheit was a Sith Lord of the old Sith Empire that emerged after the Dark Age came to a close. He was a fanatical believer in the tenets of the Sith religion, an Imperialist and an unrepentant human supremacist. To be precise, he believed in the superiority of the Epicanthix race.

He was also a ruthless Social Darwinist, who was convinced that the Galaxy belonged to those who commanded the Force and not to those who let it command them. According to him, equality was a lie, for nothing in nature was equal. Only the strong survived and thrived in nature. In his opinion, the current state of the Galaxy was wrong not only because it was disorderly, but because it allowed the weak to flourish. This, he said, led to a regime of inferiors that oppressed the strong.

The Jedi and all those who supported the grand delusion of democracy were responsible for degrading the masses and supporting a culture of weakness and passivity. Reinheit believed that the Sith Empire had lost its way, becoming weak and corrupt. Like many Sith, he returned to the shadows after the Empire was conquered by the Republic and the Mandalorians. He was recruited by the One Sith and their enigmatic Dark Lord, and returned from the shadows when the Sith conquered Coruscant.

Reinheit had an Epicanthix wife whose family were staunch Imperialists and had political and business associations with past Sith and Imperial remnant régimes. Unsurprisingly, he procreated and sought to mould his children in his image. Unfortunately for him, he did not have the best of luck. He placed all his hopes in his son, but the lad turned out to be a huge disappointment. Not only did he reject Sithism, he started dating a Twi'lek and became an abolitionist. One can imagine how disappoined the stalwart advocate of Sithism-Humanism was about this.

He was also unhappy with his eldest child, for she was a girl and a Non-Force-User. Still, she was his firstborn. Her name was Livia. Since his son had decided to reject him, disavow Sithism and consort with 'alien filth', he decided that his daughter must be of use. Livia grew up with a rather strict, demanding father who drilled Sith, Imperialist and Humanist values into her skull. At first Reinheit felt like that the best way for his daughter to contribute to the family legacy would be to be married off to one of his allies. When he caught her in bed with a slave, he had the serf beaten. The girl dreamt of becoming a pilot, but Darth Reinheit disapproved because he believed that a TIE fighter was no place for a girl.

The family had a residence on Dromund Kaas. While Reinheit was away fighting the Jedi, the Mandalorians dropped asteroids on the planet. Livia's mother and little sister perished in the cataclysm, but the girl survived. Their estate was in ruins though. Most of their slaves had died and the few survivors had run away. Forced to fend for herself in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, she managed to employ her survival skills. The months spent in the wilderness hardened her, turning her into a skilled survivalist and hunter. It also made her deeply cynical.

The Mandalorians had killed countless civilians and slaves as well as Sith. Law and order had collapsed, and now everyone was out for themselves. She had been taught basic self-defence skills, but now she had to defend herself against bandits and beasts, track and hunt in a bitter-cold wasteland. She managed to tame one of the Sithspawn her father had created in his alchemical experiments. It became her companion, coming to her aid when she had been overpowered by some Sith soldiers turned bandits who wanted to sell her into slavery. Once she hunted a Mandalorian warrior. Using her tracking skills, she followed him and laid traps. Then she took him down with improvised weapons and let her pet eat him.

Eventually she was reunited with her father when he returned to Kaas. Ironically, he had come here to salvage some artefacts and expected her to be dead. But she proved him wrong. He was surprised and grudgingly impressed. Perhaps she could be of use to the family in a different way. From now on, he began to train her as a soldier. There was a strong part of her that resented him, but he was all she had and she had been raised to believe in his ideology. Moreover, she wanted revenge on the Jedi and the Mandalorians and he could give her the tools to accomplish it.

The collapse of the Sith Empire had made him even more of an extremist. His Social Darwinist beliefs had turned into an obsession. When the One Sith returned from the shadows, Livia fought at the battle of Coruscant, and was commended for her courage and skill in the field. The soldier displayed initiative and skill as a small unit leader. She was maimed while fighting a Jedi, but managed to take out her opponent with a hard sound gun and an explode on impact grenade.

In the meantime, Reinheit had initiated an eugenics programme to condition a superior human 'master race'. According to him, this programme would create a new generation of leaders and warriors who had been bred for their roles and would be able to crush those who clung to the grand delusion of democracy. Some of those experimented were conducted on Imperial veterans, other test subjects were POWs or orphans from the lower levels of Coruscant. In the Sith Lord's twisted imagination, the people in the last two categories owed him a debt of gratitude because he was 'saving' them from their degenerate environments. On the one hand the Sith Lord held the poor in contempt, but on the other he regarded them as proof of his beliefs because life in the slums was defined by brutal natural selection.

Many of those which were surgically enhanced and heavily augmented to perform “Beyond Human” capabilities died or were crippled by the experiments. It did not help that the Sith Lord believed that duels to the death were a good way of weeding out the weak. The loss of potential soldiers did not seem overly problematic to him. Those who made it were heavily indoctrinated to uphold the values of the Sith in general and their master in particular.

Livia was inducted into this programme. She was a Non-Force-User and thus could not be Reinheit's heir, but she could still be of use. So he took advantages of her combat injuries. Her memories were altered to ensure her loyalty. A scientist employed by Reinheit, Doctor Zakarias Vont, conducted experiments with Midichlorians and enchanted Artusian crystals. These were supposed to grant the candidates artificial Force-Sensitivity. The experiments were very painful and caused sterility.

Some candidates died. Others were able to gain a brief, unstable Force connection. Livia was one of them. But her powers soon burnt out. It did not help that Reinheit pushed her to excel and go beyond her limits, ignoring medical advice. For a while she could perform basic telekinesis, but summoning a big blast of Force Lightning gave her a seizure. The implanted crystal had to removed. Irritated by this, Reinheit decided to use her as a black ops operative. She could not become Sith but she could contribute to the fulfilment of the Sith imperative. He renamed her Helga, which he deemed to be a more 'pure' name.

The three other operatives of her team were designated Wulfgar, Thoric Gulnir. Wulfgar was a former Republic soldier who defected in the early stages of the One Sith-Republic War. He deemed the Republic weak because it was losing, whereas the Sith represented strength and 'respected warriors'. Bribes also helped sway him. So he sold information, sabotaged a Republic special ops mission and betrayed his oath. He probably did not expect the turn his life took. Thoric was orphan who had grown up in the slums of Lower Coruscant, where he became a criminal. This shaped him into a hard, tough man. He was 'volunteered' for the programme as part of an initiative to clean up the streets and give criminals 'socially useful work', partly due to his skill as a slicer. Finally, Gulnir was a Sith stormtrooper who was inducted into the programme due to his skill and bravery in the field. Reinheit considered him a model specimen due to his strength and physique. Much to Reinheit's irritation, Helga had a fling with Thoric. But then she could not continue the family lin anyway.

Helga was put in command of the team, which was given the name Team Mirage. Their mission profile was a varied one, but focused on covert operations. Their tasks included assassinations, abductions bombings, industrial espionage and false flag attacks. Her father regarded them as his personal kill team. They fulfilled their duties diligently. Helga and her crew fought at Empress Teta, facing Mandalorians who had attacked the Sith-controlled planet after the death of Mia Monroe at Coruscant. Given her feelings on Mandalorians, Helga took to this mission with gusto and relished the prospect of facing them in combat. She had taken the time to learn all she could about their language and culture. Using stolen Mandalorian armour, the team was able to ambush and assassinate a Mandalorian warlord. Helga exacted revenge for the destruction of Dromund Kaas by torturing Mandalorian prisoners.

The team conducted covert ops missions against the Republic. Deployed behind enemy lines, they attacked the Republic's war production by sabotaging war factories and shipyards. Helga and the team also helped Reinheit's minions abduct Jedi for 'conversion'. However, not all of their missions were against the external enemies of the One Sith and their empire. Though Reinheit claimed to be completely loyal to the Dark Lord, he was a Sith and thus fixated on expanding his power base. He also believed that some Sith were not 'pure' enough.

Thus he used Team Mirage to undermine his enemies and further his warped ideological aims. Helga and her group went undercover to bomb the rally of a rival Sith Lord, Darth Libertas. She was a Twi'lek, and thus someone Reinheit considered unworthy of being a Sith. She was also trying to sway the inhabitants of the slums of Lower Coruscant to the Sith cause. Helga and her squad disguised themselves as anti-Sith rebels and planted fake evidence. Several civilians died in the bombing. Reinheit blamed it on Republic and Jedi agents.

However, Libertas did not believe him. The Jedi, she said, were incapable of taking a course of action without having at least two conclaves about it. But she was unable to prove his involvement. Reinheit had hoped that it would goad her into doing something foolish, but instead she began to subtly undermine his power base. When Zakarias decided to extract himself from his overbearing patron, Libertas took him on as a minion. An attempt on the part of Team Mirage to eliminate or abduct the scientist, who knew far too many of Reinheit's secrets, failed due to the Twi'lek's intervention. Helga was a zealot, but not suicidal. Her father was angered, but she was growing increasingly distant from him. In any case, the One Sith still had an actual war to fight. Team Mirage unleashed biological weapons on a planet called Widek, pinning the blame on anti-Sith rebels.

Helga fought at Togoria and Lujo. These were the last victories of the One Sith. From then on, the tide turned against them. The Galactic Alliance pushed into the Core Worlds. Reinheit's orders became increasingly crazed and irrational. He blamed the defeats on backstabers and saw traitors everywhere. On his orders, Team Mirage arranged an 'accident' for an Imperial General, whom he considered to be disloyal for not having his soldiers fight to the death. The team fought on Coruscant, but fell back when the Sith troops were routed. On Csilla they targeted supposed dissidents and Jedi collaborators. Most of them were ordinary civilians, or even people who worked for the Sith régime. Team Mirage sabotaged production centres to prevent them from falling into the enemy's hands. But the One Sith Empir was finished.

However, when Helga met up with Darth Reinheit, her father no longer seemed troubled by this. Instead he was full of energy. The Galaxy, he declared, would pay for rejecting the enlightenment the Sith had offered them. The True Sith would not let the Galaxy fall into degradation. The weak, the faithless and the traitors would be purged. Taking her into his confidence, he revealed to her that he had joined a faction called the Rogue Sith. They were building a weapon that would change the course of the war and remake the Galaxy in the image of the Sith. All their enemies would be destroyed in a single glorious day. This superweapon was called the Omega. At this point Helga was already a pitiless killer who did not care about morals. War had brutalised her and she was an unrepentant Imperialist. But she was looking towards the future. Nonetheless, she joined the cause.

Team Mirage put its skills to good use by helping acquire crucial materiels for the superweapon and plugging leaks. When a Sith who was part of the group got second thoughts and fled with a consignment of Kyber crystals, Helga pursued him and pretended to be a fellow defector. The team was able to ambush him and a Jedi he had been in touch with. However, inevitably the main powers of the Galaxy became aware of the project and launched an assault on the Omega. A great battle was fought in space and on the surface of Castameer. Ironically, Reinheit's enemy Darth Libertas fought on the side of the coalition of the willing.

The Rogue Sith had hoped their enemies would come to them for a final showdown. It was supposed to be the mother of all battles. Unfortunately for them, the fleets of the various powers decided to enter an alliance of convenience instead of slaughtering each other. Despite stiff Sith resistance, enemy forces boarded the Omega. Team Mirage was one of the units drawn into battle. The Sith needed all hands on deck, so they were put into a conventional infantry role.

Helga and her team fought bravely, battling a Firemane task force. But they were forced to fall back. By now Helga was thoroughly fed up with her superiors. The space battle was going ill, and when the Grand Admiral ordered that the Omega's super laser should commit its full power to the space battle, he was executed by Kith Verloren, the leader of the Sith sect.

Reinheit ordered his minions to fight to the death, threatening them with worse if they did not comply. However, for the first time in a long time, Helga and her team members disobeyed him. When he launched a mental attack on her mind and tried to force her to kneel, she was put through agonising pain. But the conditioning she had received enabled her to work through it. She shot him with a bolter she had taken from a dead Firemane soldier. Her comrades joined in, firing at the insane Sith Lord. When her bolter was destroyed, she used a flamethrower to set him on fire.

Unfortunately for him his sorcerous powers did not make him immune. He cursed them with his last dying breath. In response, Helga told him that by the standards of his own philosophy he had failed. Rather than give him a quick death, she crippled him and left him to bleed out and die in the explosion. She took his lightsabre as a trophy. Omega was dying, and so the team did the logical thing and fled after looting a bit. In the chaos they managed to secure a shuttle and escape the station before it exploded.

Helga and her comrades were free of their Sith masters. But the former operative was also at a crossroads. Her past association with the Rogue Sith made it difficult to find employment. She felt strong disdain for both Jedi and Sith, but did not feel any particular guilt for her past actions. From now on the team would only work for itself and be loyal to no one's cause except their own. So she and her team became mercenaries, working as deniable operatives for anyone who could pay.

But they only took on missions after an internal vote. The team gravitated towards contracts that would put them in conflict with Jedi or Sith. Indeed, Helga had acquired a bit of a sadistic streak when it came to Force-Users and took pleasure in tormenting or humiliating them if she got them into her custody. When a crime lord she was working for decided that her way of solving a 'Jedi problem' for him had been unnecessarily brutal and drawn too much attention, she killed him and make it look like his wife had done him in.

Then she was suddenly contacted by her former One Sith handler. This was very surprising since since said handler was supposed to have died in an 'accident' for displaying defeatism after the fall of Coruscant. Helga was suspicious, but then agreed to a meeting. As it turned out, the former One Sith agent was now an employee of a corporation called Archangel Research and Design. This corporation was primarily a droidmaker, but had branched out into other fields such as cloning, genetic engineering and cybernetics. Helga's ex-handler claimed that the company could use motivated go-getters such as Team Mirage. Corporate warfare could get quite cut-throat and they could use people who could get the job done. Helga was suspicious, but the pay was good. So after a vote, the team accepted.

On the surface, life was good. Archangel paid them very well and gave them access to all the amenities one could ask for. Most of their missions revolved around eliminating competitors of the corporation or stealing tech Archangel wanted. They went off without a hitch and paid well. Yet something seemed...off about their employers. Everyone was just a bit too perfect. None of Archangel's employees ever slacked on the job. They were always professional, polite and a bit aloof. The same extended to their families. Their children were all straight A students who were always respectful and never got in trouble. Even the team's former handler was married to what seemed to be the perfect husband and had the perfect daughter. This struck Helga as particularly strange since her former comrade had once been the exact opposite of a family person.

The team's suspicions increased after they were ordered to abduct a few researchers. The scientists vanished after being placed in Archangel's custody, but when they returned seemed unusually hyper focused and pleased with their lot. The team began to investigate their employer, partly to acquire potential blackmail materiel. Helga and her comrades shadowed their former handler. But an attempt to drug and seduce her failed and it came to a confrontation. It turned out that the ex-agent was no longer a human being, but a machine.

The team discovered that the same applied to her supposed husband and daughter. Thoric, the team's slicer, accessed the HRD's chip and reprogrammed the machine. He also had some success at slicing into an Archangel databank to obtain information about the corporation. The answers they got led them to a secret Archangel base. The team was able to infiltrate it and discovered that it was a factory where organic beings were processed into machines. There was also a cloning facility. The team was able to steal some data and Helga gave the order to pull out, but they were ambushed by Archangel forces.

The team fought bravely. Helga was able to take down an HRD and the team used explosives to blow up part of the facility. However, they were outnumbered and outgunned. But Archangel was not interested in slaughtering them. Instead they were stunned, captured and subjected to the same treatment as their old handler. Perhaps Helga realised what was up, for she tried to take her life with a concealed cyanide pill, but a medical droid thwarted her suicide attempt.

She was reborn – after a fashion. When the team left the Archangel medical facility, they were HRDs. Helga had already been a ruthless killer, so her rebirth did not change that. The machine cult emphasised the disdain she felt for Force-Users, building up on something that was already there. The missions she undertook for Archangel were quite similar to those from her early days as a One Sith minion, with the difference that her bosses were amoral droids. Her missions involved stealing advanced technology for Archangel to use and abducting Force-Sensitives so that the machine cult could experiment on or clone them.

Helga was somewhat known to Enyo Typhos and provided her with some training. Then the Force clone went rogue and rebelled against Archangel. Helga was not at Archangel's secret base when Enyo returned with a force of mercenaries and a Contingency fleet to level it. This probably saved her from being terminated. But Archangel's forces regrouped. Team Mirage was an important component in Moira Skaldi's plan for a counter-offensive. Operating under the overall command of an HRD called Gunther Stahl, a former officer of the original Sith Empire, the team was charged with finding Enyo's stronghold.

Putting their training to good use, they were able to ascertain the location of her base through a mixture of guile and brutality. A good number of Enyo's associates were criminals and mercenaries. Some had become disgruntled with their boss, especially since her crusade was distracting them from other ventures. Helga was able to get close to a disenchanted lieutenant and exploit this connection. It also helped that some of the renegade's soldiers were former One Sith members. She worked together with Annabelle, a child HRD who excelled at intelligence gathering Meanwhile, Moira Skaldi made an alliance with remnants of the Contingency. Enyo had betrayed the Shards after realising their leader Onyx was insane, which had left them vengeful.

Archangel launched a counterattack, driving Enyo from her base. Team Mirage was there when Archangel's war machines staged their assault. They helped sabotage defence systems to enable the attack. Many of her minions perished, but Enyo and her closest cadres escaped. The renegade clone was forced her into an alliance with a group of Eldorai renegades. Team Mirage was one of the Archangel units thrown at Enyo and her forces during the final battle. However, the renegade clone prevailed and took control over the machine cult. Helga defeated several of Enyo's Cyborgs and Kraal warriors. When she faced the renegade clone in combat and she was able to damage her, but was defeated by Enyo in a lightsabre duel.

In the aftermath of the battle, Archangel's new leader remembered the ex-Sith kill team and decided to repurpose it. After all, she was a believer in recycling and opposed wastefulness. Thus the team was reborn again. Helga was programmed to serve Enyo and her clone family. Her first order of business was helping Enyo purge her syndicate of unreliable elements. The fact that she had cultivated some genuine traitors during her time serving the old régime proved very useful. Those who could not be captured and processed suffered accidents. Her Helga continues to serve Archangel. Her new boss is a Force-User, but was never a Jedi or a Sith. What vexes Helga a bit is that some of Enyo's associates are Sith. Granted, it is only a few, but still. So far her machine logic has managed to contain her desire to arrange creative accidents for them. She keeps them under surveillance though.
