Where It All Will End

The collapse of the Diarchy and the Confederation did not bring peace to the Corellian sector, and nowhere was that more evident than in the wake of destruction on Kor Vella and Socorro's Belt.

Still scarred by the fires of Kor Vella, the system had barely begun to recover when the disgraced former Imperial Supreme Commander, now Warlord Marlon Sularen, and those Imperials under his command set out to settle scores. His presence turned the asteroids and mining colonies into contested ground overnight – but Corellia was no longer alone.

With the Corellian Senator Cynan Obaith newly freed from his false imprisonment, a furious and unified response takes shape over the Five Brothers System, as a system-wide initiative was launched with clear intent:

No Imperial remnant would be allowed to fester within Corellian space again, not under the fractured banners of the old Empire, nor under the personal command of a former Imperial Supreme Commander clinging to relevance.

Thus, the High Republic's forces were mobilized alongside Corellia's own militia, their efforts bolstered by the standing Treaty of Twin Crowns retainer agreement between the High Republic and the Mandalorian Empire. Mandalorian warships slipped into the Belt and drop craft slipped through asteroid lanes, where warriors, soldiers, and specialists alike converge on a single objective:

Cleanse the Belt, stabilize the system, and reclaim the future.

ioR3kor.png
Objective One
System Purge
Location: Socorro's Belt

A joint task force with Republic and Mandalorian forces are mobilizing to eliminate all remaining Imperial-aligned factions operating within Socorro's Belt, including loyalists to Sularen, fragmented Imperial cells, and any opportunistic warbands masquerading as security.

Work as teams alongside Mandalorian forces to secure locations, appropriate Imperial intelligence, resources, and supplies, and to rescue any remaining civilian or Corellian forces under Imperial detainment.

S8bRjEK.png
Objective Two
Defense Stabilization and Humanitarian Relief
Location: Kor Vella

The Republic will establish a Forward Operating Base on Kor Vella and in Socorro's Belt with Mandalorian assistance to prevent further Imperial incursions, secure the hyperlanes, and serve as a continuous staging ground for operations.

The Jedi Order is providing immediate aid and long-term recovery support to the Belt and Corellian civilians by assisting with medical needs, repairing infrastructure, distributing resources, and offering protection for displaced populations.

lRbJ1rA.png
Objective Three
Political Restoration and Fundraising
Location:
Coronet City
Senator Cynan Obaith delivered a speech underscoring Corellia's sovereignty and its standing within the High Republic. Following the address, he extended an invitation to allies and the Mandalorian Empire to attend a social fundraising event in commemoration of the day.

The gathering is intended to support Corellia and its neighboring systems while also serving as a forum for networking and negotiation, offering opportunities for noble houses, Senators, ambassadors, world leaders, and corporate interests, including representatives of the Mandalorian Empire to explore future contracts, commissions, and strategic partnerships.

"Just sit there, okay? I'll be done before you can say wonderful Wampas wonder where to wander."

Phillip was not the best fighter, he knew that for sure. Perhaps he was not the best for medical work, or repairing things, but the one thing he could do was be a distraction. There were definitely families admist the population, families with young kids who were terrified out of their mind, and Phillip had decided to take it upon himself to try and cheer them up ever so slightly, to allow even the parents a momentary break.

And so the Padawan sat with a small family in this moment, paintbrush in hand and applying various colours to his page, glancing up every so often to the child. It made for a nice change of pace compared to Phillip's common feelings of inadequacy. This was somewhere his skills were at least somewhat useful. There were of course still some stray thoughts in the back of his mind about how this was useless and wouldn't actually help anyone but the focus on his task helped to silence those worries easily enough.

"So. What's your favourite colour? I'm a fan of green, or silver like a moon."

He wasn't a saviour, nor some valiant warrior that could make the Galaxy better for these families, but right now he could be the distraction they needed from the suffering. Just to take their minds off it all, even if for only an hour.

The descent into Kor Vella's atmosphere was quiet, but the world below carried none of that stillness. From above, the scars were unmistakable, fractured districts and scorched ground that told the story of a place still trying to recover from wounds that had never fully closed. By the time the transport touched down near the forward staging zone, the reality of it had settled in fully. Medical tents lined the perimeter, supply depots stretched between temporary structures, and the steady movement of Republic personnel and Mandalorian warriors wove through a population that looked exhausted but unwilling to stop. Alina stepped down onto the ground without hesitation, her presence blending easily into the rhythm of the operation. She wore nothing that marked her as anything more than another set of hands here to help, though Auralis rested quietly at her hip, her lightsaber beside it, both undisturbed.

She did not move toward command or seek direction. Instead, she let the Force guide her through the encampment, feeling where the strain gathered, where the quiet fractures in people were just as present as the physical ones around them. Fear lingered in the air, but so did something steadier, something that hadn't broken despite everything that had happened here. It drew her forward through the camp, past medics working through long lines of injured, past engineers stabilizing what little infrastructure remained, until something lighter caught her attention.

A small cluster of civilians had gathered off to one side, removed just enough from the chaos to allow a different kind of work to happen. At the center of it sat a young man with a paintbrush, his posture relaxed in a way that stood in quiet contrast to everything else around him. Children watched him closely, their attention fixed not on the destruction behind them, but on the colors spreading across the page in his hands. Alina slowed as she approached, her gaze taking in the scene without interrupting it.

She stopped a short distance away, observing as Phillip spoke, his words light, almost playful, as he asked about favorite colors. After a moment, her attention shifted outward again, sensing where she was needed. She started toward one of the medical tents, where she would be of the most use to the people of Kor Vella.

Objective I - System Purge

FINAL DAWN
SOCORRO'S BELT, CORE WORLDS

Sularen didn't expect to find himself returning to the Core Worlds so soon, especially after the fiasco that was the Corellian Crisis. Yet here he was, leading the Final Dawn in its first proper military operation against the High Republic and their Mandalorian allies, who sought to extinguish the last vestiges of Imperialism in the Corellian Sector.

Still, it was infuriating to see that the Imperial movement had once more found itself in this position, marginalized, hunted, and suppressed by every major galactic government. It didn't matter, though, as another Imperial faction would inevitably rise to challenge the galactic order once more. However, this time around, Sularen sought to ensure that he was the one at the forefront of this Imperial resurgence to ensure that the same bullshit Imperials had to go through these past few years wouldn't happen again.

As he sat within his command chair on board the bridge of his flagship, the Supreme Commander prepared himself for the upcoming battle, whose outcome would set the tone for the rise of his new Imperial movement, the Final Dawn. A successful operation would at least demonstrate to their enemies that the forces of Imperialism were still able to achieve tactical victories and weren't the pushovers they expected them to be. On the contrary, their defeat would only embolden their opponents, creating a more arrogant and self-righteous enemy that they'd have to overcome, not that they weren't already full of themselves.

Before long, the blue streaks of hyperspace would disappear as the Sularen's Revenge, and its escorts emerged from hyperspace right at the edge of Socorro's Belt.

"We've arrived at the edge of the Socorro's Belt, sir. Orders?" the Captain inquired.

"Begin deployment of all Special Forces units and accompanying Starfighter Squadrons," Sularen responded in his usual calm demeanour. "Charge up the Psuedosonic Beam Cannon and have the fleet maintain its current position until our forces have made landfall on Kolene." he continued.

As the squadron of Imperial warships positioned itself outside the asteroid field, scores of Imperial TIEs and Gunships emerged from the hangars of the Sularen's Revenge, making their way towards Kolene to begin the first phase of the Imperial operation. With any luck, they'd make groundfall before the bulk of the Republic-Mandalorian task force could set foot on the mining colony. Until then, the Supreme Commander would have to sit and wait to receive confirmation that his forces had reached Kolene, so that he could initiate the next phase of the operation.

Cynan looked to his right hand with a deep sigh, his sister was late in her arrival for being part of the hosting family for this event on Corellia. Gwen had insisted to Cynan that she become more involved with his work on Corellia, something he had been hesitant about since the abduction and imprisonment that Cynan had personally suffered but Cynan was not capable of denying his family their requests. So he surrendered in the end to her desires. He also suspected that Gwen desired to merely escape their mother's matchmaking schemes.

"She shall be down soon, my lord. Final touches to her hair as it was explained to me." Sawel stated in a calming voice that Cynan merely nodded his head to.

Hosting events were tricky ordeals. He wanted to ensure that everyone would be having a splendid time but he also knew that there was an importance in trading information, as well as demonstrating that Corellia and Cynan were standing strong. Beacons of prosperity as well as paving a new golden era for the world. It was just the stepping stones to such envisioned futures. Tapping his cane, it had been something that continued to be a part of his attire long since he had need of it. Partly to remind himself of what he endured in his captivity but also it had become something as a comfort to him. As much as Sawel was a comfort to him.

As his mind lingered on whether there would be enough food for all the guests attending today, Sawel gave a polite cough before announcing Gwen's arrival to the main hall. "Sister, you took your time but I see it was time well spent. You look fabulous." Cynan gave a warm smile to his sister.

Gwen gracefully moved down the stairs, her eyes narrowed towards Cynan, "you have better invited only the most interesting of people to this event brother, if I have to deal with old, boring corporates desiring increased profit margins and endlessly talking about trade route efficiencies, I will strange you and then myself with this jewellery. Do not laugh at me!"

Cynan could not help but chuckle, "I promise to do my best to avoid such fates, as will Sawel." Looking over to his right hand, "please keep her away from the traders and mercantile members attending today." Cynan spoke in a soft whisper with a humour to his voice.

Helping his sister to the grand hall, he nodded to her, releasing her from his focus as he knew that guests would be arriving soon enough. "Open the doors and let us begin this event!" Cynan called out to the servers and guards.

Mia was uncomfortable.

It wasn’t just the lack of armour, it was everything from the gentle music and polished decor to the false smiles and flowing gowns. Given the choice, she would have been anywhere but here, however, Aether had asked her to come, not to parley with politicians, but to provide an added layer of protection for the young Queen.

Not that Adelle wasn’t more than enough of a guardian for the young Queen, but there was an edge that the Warmaster had over her—she didn’t have to play nicely with politicians or Jedi.

Granted she had to be careful not to create another diplomatic incident, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t tell people to feth off, and in the very small chance things took a turn for the worse she was the best placed weapon they had.

Mia kept to the edge of the room, her sapphire gaze sweeping across it, marking dignitaries she knew and keeping an eye out for the Queen of Eshan, one hand resting in her pocket, the other holding a flute of champagne she hadn’t touched.

CAPTAIN RONHAR TANE, TK-3301
SOCORRO'S BELT, KOLENE SPACEPORT
OBJECTIVE I: SYSTEM PURGE

From the moment that the MIN Night Reaver landed, Ronhar and his men were in a race against time.

He had already sent as much information to Senator Tryvge Hakon Tryvge Hakon as he could: direct combat footage of the Sith and their Sithspawn Abominations on Brosi, footage of the combined Sith and Mandalorian Fleet working to utterly demolish the Tion Shipyards, and Ronhar's personal helmet camera footage of him fighting both Darth Carnifex Darth Carnifex and Mia Monroe Mia Monroe on Lianna, along with the atrocities and the result of the damage that the combined Mandalorian and Sith forces had inflicted on the planet and its people. That was all well and good, but what Ronhar really needed was live testimony, directly from those who had witnessed the attacks with their own eyes and survived.

As it so happened, some of those refugees just so happened to be aboard Kolene Spaceport, and Ronhar was determined to extract them at all costs. His personal ship, the MIN Night Reaver, alongside a number of Imperial U-Wings, were ready to pick up the survivors and offer them safe transport off the station...assuming Ronhar could actually find them!

After all, those witnesses would likely be prime targets for the Mandalorians, and once the attack had started, the station had been thrown into complete and total chaos. It didn't help that Supreme Commander Marlon Sularen Marlon Sularen was planning to scuttle Kolene Spaceport once he arrived, meaning that Ronhar's window to find the survivors and get them out safely was growing ever more narrow the longer that he waited to get going.

Meaning that it was now or never for him!

He and his men raced down the halls of the station, weapons drawn and raised, ready to open fire at the nearest sign of trouble. Ronhar didn't doubt that he would run into opposition soon, but when he did, he and his men would be ready, and they would achieve their objective no matter what the Mandalorians or High Republic threw at them.

Because they had to. The stakes were simply to high for failure. Should things go off without a hitch, and should Ronhar be able to rescue those from Lianna and the Tion Shipyards, then it might just be enough to finally catch the attention of the High Republic Senate, and get them to finally end their alliance with the Mandalorians once and for all!

Assuming, of course, everyone involved lived long enough to get there in the first place...

Objective Three

The botanical garden unfurled around Ayumi in measured tiers of alien flora, each bed a taxonomist's reverie rendered in jade and vermilion. Coronet City's perpetual haze of repulsorlift traffic and lingering engine ionics pressed against the transparisteel dome overhead, yet within, the air held a stillness that felt deliberate almost archival. She moved along the crushed duracrete path with the unhurried grace of someone accustomed to occupying vertical space, her shadow stretching long and lean across the scatter of copper-hued petals. At six feet two inches, she was an anomaly among the Corellian passersby who favored stockier frames, and more than one glance flicked her way before skidding off, deflected by the quiet assurance in her bearing.

Her hair fell unbound today, a dark-honey cascade to her waist, threaded with natural gold that caught the filtered light. She did not braid it for gardens. The High Republic's approach was less a rumor now and more a pressure, like the subtle change in atmosphere before a weather lock. Ayumi had felt it first in the spaceport's cantinas new faces ordering in stilted Basic, robes cut in the Coruscanti fashion, datapads emblazoned with the luminous spiral of the Republic crest. Here, among the curator-labeled spires of Alderaanian ferns and the low, creeping mats of Dantooine moss, the gravity of that arrival seemed both muted and more insidious.

She paused before a flowering vine native to nowhere she recognized, its blossoms the exact honeyed amber of her own eyes. The flecks within her irises, those shards of captured sunlight, reflected at her from the waxy petals. For a breath, she studied the symmetry botanical and personal then continued her circuit, the soft susurrus of her stride the only concession to the world beyond this green hush. She rather enjoyed it as the news of something coming was on her data interface. There was more information coming as she walked with Zahira and got a better look at things. WIth all the strife on Alderaan it had not been as fruitful as she had hoped.

Makai was a bit ambivalent on the entire status of Corellia and the Soccro Belt. On one hand, he expected governmental squabbling not to interfere with the trade lanes. In the same breath he was benefitting from his mining competition not being able to move their products quickly. Smartly he had built much of his empire away from the Core and jumbled mess of the central galaxy. Corporate Sector. Tingel Arm. The Slice. His sights were even on the backside of the Sith, somewhere near the Rishi Maze.

Yet there were no talks of trade route issues yet. When his wife arrived to the event he expected the Trade Princess to be bombarded with those questions.

He had far more important things to worry about. The half-Galan adjusted the black-rimmed glasses on his face and scoffed as he peered down at a datapad.

"No way."

"Yet your eyes see it. Reality. Pay up Mak." His friend, a pale Umbaran heavily involved in the finance world, sounded incredibly smug. "To be fair, I thought the same."

"I would have sworn he was in Zerek Thesh Zerek." Makai fished around in the breast pocket of his suit jacket, procuring five hundred credits and handing them over. "Military service? Hard to believe. His father must have paid a pretty credit to advance him."

The object of their bet : King Aurelian Veruna Aurelian Veruna .Thought had been he was some philandering fraternity brother from a wealthy family that had bought his way into the royal houses. Given both he and Harlan had little in the way of knowledge of Naboo or family ties and power, a friendly wager was placed. Makai had lost.

"Oh, without a doubt." Harlan replied, stuffing the credits in his own pocket. "Probably standard for these royal types. Same way every business owner's kid gets an internship."

"Ouch."

"Hey, we both benefitted from it, no denial there. Just making comparisons."
Harlan looked around, still quite pleased with himself. "Where's Myra?"

"We came separate. Working different parts of the galaxy....Phoebe is hanging out with my father. Dad can't attend these things just yet..Next time I'll let him loose on the politicans once again."

"Kid free and stuck listening to politicians blow hot air. Tough break Mak."

The crate settled against my shoulder with a metallic thud as I carried it through the half-built corridor of the forward base. Around me, workers, soldiers, and volunteers moved in every direction beneath the noise of distant transports descending through Kor Vella's atmosphere. It was not glorious work. No battlefield or hunting down bounties for credits. Just hands rebuilding what war had torn apart.

"This pallet goes to medical..." my modulated voice crackled through the helmet speaker as I set the supplies beside a group of Republic medics. One of them thanked me. I only gave a short nod before turning back toward the next shipment waiting off the transport ramp.

OBJECTIVE I: System Purge
LOCATION: Socorro's Belt

Growing up in a coastal and commercialized city always around boats and starships led to Tryvge Hakon developing an affinity for sea and spacefaring from an early age. Wroona was long known for its advancements in those fields, especially seafaring, and during his time in public office on the planet, Hakon had worked hard to prop up those industries.

Now a member of the Galactic Senate, Hakon was presented with the opportunity to ride alongside The High Republic's military during an incursion into Socorro's Belt. While he did not necessarily show it outwardly, he was giddy at the opportunity. Wroona's planetary defense forces were no slouch, but this was the real deal.

He sat towards the back of an HRNV Comitari-class Transport Shuttle. It was taking Hakon and a small group of operatives into the fray, where they would look to acquire any intelligence and supplies they could. Due to Hakon's status as a senator, he had been placed with more of a support force and he was not expecting to be involved in any of the potential fighting that was slated to take place. Despite that, the soldiers accompanying him were still appropriately armed given the potentially chaotic nature of the situation. Hakon, on the other hand, was unarmed as always. He had no military experience and was just as likely to accidentally strike his allies as his foes with a blaster. The extent of his preparations amounted to trading in his typically ornate apparel for something a bit more lowkey and easier to move around in.

It was probably best that he would be out of the fighting, given his mixed feelings of the chaos. While Hakon was no major supporter of the imperials and certainly believed in securing The High Republic's space, he had recently received helpful information from them. He also questioned the wisdom of relying on a barbaric society to help secure the area. In this moment though, those questions were not worth worrying about; he was here to focus on what he does best: helping people.

The shuttle followed behind some of the more combat ready The High Republic forces towards the belt. As the ship neared its destination, many of the soldiers on board began checking their weapons and preparing to disembark the vessel, but Hakon remained still and seated. If this was a HoloNet drama it would have been the perfect time for a rousing speech by the senator, but given this was the real world he stayed silent and let the commander ready the troops as the ship descended towards its destination.

Objective Three
Coronet City

Dominique's smile was broad and her eyes lively as they swung toward an opulent fellow adorned in finery with the finest trim to his beard. The man's boistrous laugh had all the vigor of a riled rancor, but deep, rich tones of a Hutt. Hollow laughter was not merely dreadful, but painful to hear. They pretended to be care, you had to pretend they were engaged. So, it was actually pleasant to have someone so hearty and of good cheer around. The momentary twinge of the ear didn't last that long. The question was whether her comment regarding galactic affairs truly had tickled his fancy, or if he was simply an excellent actor.

Even better, his laughter drew eyes and ears. An astute player of the game if his intention was to draw attention to the Chancellor's party. Perhaps to call attention to the fact he was in that party? The maneuvers in the game of politics and Houses were often subtle like that. Just enough to draw attention, but not enough one rolled their eyes at its obviousness.

Today was quite the celebration. The Republic had nearly started a war with the Galactic Empire over Corellia with both their fleets occupying planetary orbit together. Then just after the Empire's influence collapsed, Marlon Sularen kidnapped the would-be representative of the world, which prompted Dominique to send the Fleet into the Imperial Confederation's space -- and, again, nearly starting a world over Corellia. Lastly, the Senate threw a fit over the fallout from the rescue operation. Some questioning the necessity of it. Others eager to rush through membership. The Chancellor was firmly in the latter camp to ensure they deterred anyone -- especially the Sith Covenant now on their border -- from attempting to repeat history yet again. Yes, quite the storied history the planet had in recent times. And that was saying something for Corellia; not that its people might fully appreciate just how close to disaster they'd come multiple times.

Dominique was all too happy to mingle with the politicians and Corpos of the galaxy. Others were free to occupy themselves in other ways. Perhaps expelling remaining Imperial influences, or supporting the people lacking the bare necessities needed to survival. She supported all those efforts. Which meant someone had to keep the busibodies and accountants fed and away from meddling in the affairs of the well-intentioned. What else was a Chancellor for if not to indulge egos and garner support? Dominique didn't mind. She'd been doing this sort of thing for quite some time.

Ever since Baros, Zoro had a bead on Sularen's flagship. Not through tracking it, it was too slippery for that, but through infiltration. Zoro had hand selected a set of spies to keep tabs on Sularen. He knew that cockroach wouldn't stay dead for long.

And it all led back to Corellia. It always did.

Zoro had set a trap. The asteroid belt leading to Kolone was a dense maze for those unfamiliar, but to the many pilots of the Dawn of Hope, it was home. Those apart of the fleet were many either Corellian natives that had fled from the rise of the former Empire after the fall of the GA, or more numerous, freighter pilots turned starfighters. Hiding amongst the rocks was rather easy when you have men who know these parts like the back of their hand.

"Are we set?"

"Aye sir. All stealth systems are engaged. The Arcees are waiting in our hangers to be deployed. We've got a report as of an hour ago on the Sularen's Revenge's location from our spies. It's heading towards Kolone."

"Marlon can't let a grudge die." Zoro lamented. "I pray for the day he decides to pick a fight with the Mandalorians. Not for his sake, but to see the day he finally bites off more than he can chew."

"We're launching the Nightfurys as you ordered. They'll be heading towards the imperial flagship's last known location to confirm."

"Once you have him in sights, send in the Arcees. I wanna surprise that bastard."

Zoro had a plan this time. It wasn't foolproof, but he had long accepted that nothing was.

If he could pin Sularen down, he'd have a story to tell his own children for ages to come.

TLDR:
Zoro relies on spies from a previous engagement to track Sully's ship.
Zoro's small strike force waits inside the dense asteroid belt.
Zoro launches a wing of stealth fighters to confirm Sularen's location.

Jonyna had kept her distance from the High Republic. It still felt like a breakaway to the GA in her heart, and never felt like home.

More than anything, that's what she missed about the GA. A feeling of having a home. The galaxy hadn't felt like that in a long time now. The sith were hiding behind the Blackwall, the Covenent were taking chunks of the core worlds, and the Mandalorians owned her homeworld.

It wasn't the same. And the High Republic simply felt like the culmination of that. A new age republic that she saw only mirrored the old.

But she could never turn down a chance to help people. Relief had been here life for a good year under the NJO, following in Jasper Kai'el Jasper Kai'el 's footsteps.

She knew Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania would be there, somewhere out there.

The Dawn of Hope's relief contigent had arrived only an hour before her. First the Lifeline and it's twin Escorts, then Jonyna's ship. The Dawnbreaker II, and it's own pair of escorts. Two Superfreighters that were still in a state of repair after the raid on Mon Cala.

And yet, between all of the ships, enough supplies and material to help Kor Vella rebuild cities. Enough food to feed them for months.

Jonyna never did anything small. She knew the Imperials would look to hit her.

That's why she brought her own firepower.

He, however, struggled with the crowd, feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to interact with the masses at large. He slowly worked himself into the moving meditation that his Buir helped him master, treating the crowd as he would a patient in the field. Coronet City

Momentum.

That was the keyword for Merryn as she arrived at the fundraising event being hosted by Corellia's Senator in Coronet City, garbed in a dress that was a cross between businesswear and something suited for the event. Aurora Industries had been one of two companies selected to provide a new ship for the High Republic, and she was loath to waste an opportunity to not possibly build upon that success. Aurora was looking to keep expanding into the Republic, looking to gain a little bit more of that market share, establish sanctioned facilities, and otherwise form new contracts with the government on Naboo.

Corellia was a world that was near and dear to Lady Raaf's heart, and she had been quite adamant, even without the possibility of other opportunities, that the company should support the Five Brothers. She had been displeased to hear about the recent Imperial incursions against her homeworld, as she had told Merryn she believed that Corellia should always maintain that rebellious and independent streak that made the planet and its inhabitants famous for millennia.

So here Merryn was, pocketbook firmly open once the event got underway, and looking to make new contacts and contracts. Or at least enjoy some of the refreshments on offer.

"Listen up," Saltare said, donning his black helmet, "Our mission is simple. Secure Kolene Spaceport and evacuate loyal Imperials. The Republic and the Mandalorians are working together to crush us here; expect heavy resistance. Pick your weapons accordingly, disruptor pistols for the Mandalorians and heavy munitions to overwhelm the wizards."

A series of green lights lit up his HUD as his troops acknowledged his orders.

Saltare felt the shudder of the Agitator-class Battlecarrier below his feet as it transitioned from hyperspace back to realspace. Saltare walked over to another member of Inferno, a single blue streak across their shoulder, denoting who they were.

"Are you sure you're up for this?" Saltare asked Beth.

Beth, uncharacteristically, slapped his shoulder before replying, "I'm good, Salt. I just want to be back in it."

Saltare nodded his armored head before replying, "Sounds good. Try not to get lost this time, ya?"

"Kriff off, old man," Beth responded before boarding a nearby gunship with other members of Inferno.

"Logan," Saltare commed, "You're gunship 3 with Iron Squadron, you're being rerouted to another location within the asteroid belt. There are some loyalists stuck in a mine on one of the asteroids. Get them and bring them back to the spaceport. TIEs will support your approach."

"Copy," Logan replied before jumping onto another gunship with a group of Imperials.

Saltare walked towards the gunship that contained Beth and the rest of Inferno Squadron. He grabbed onto a handle and hauled himself inside, helmet glancing around the interior of the transport, eyeing his squad. As he did so, giving his nod of approval, text scrolled across his HUD from the Supreme Commander.

//IMPERIAL DECREE ALPHA//
//LIBERATE AND SECURE KOLENE SPACEPORT//

Simple orders. Easy enough.

Saltare sent a ping to the pilots, giving them the go-ahead. The gunship lifted off from the capital ship's hangar bay, doors sealing before it entered the vacuum of space. The engines whining as they spooled up, spitting them all out into the blackness and the coming conflict.

Inferno was on the move once again.

Coronet City carried itself as if nothing had gone wrong, as if the system hadn't nearly torn itself apart not long ago. The lights were warm, the music soft, and everything was polished just enough to smooth over the edges of what people didn't want to talk about too openly. Seris could feel it in the way conversations dipped, in the pauses before people answered certain questions, in the way some eyes lingered just a little long.

She moved through the gathering, not going against the crowd but moving within it. The white she wore stood out, but not in a way that demanded attention. It was clean, well put together, though she was not trying to make a statement. The faint green accents broke it up just enough to keep it from feeling plain. Her hair had been styled into a loose braid that rested over her shoulder, a few strands left out to soften it.

She didn't head toward the center of the room. Instead, she kept to the edges, letting the flow of people move around her while she picked up pieces of what was being said. Trade routes, funding, military support, contracts, alliances. The kind of discussions that shaped systems without ever stepping onto a battlefield.

The hosts were easy enough to spot. Cynan carried himself like someone who looked like a career diplomat, the cane at his side saying more than his posture ever would. Gwen was sharper, more openly restless, already scanning the room like she was looking for something worth her time. Seris didn't linger on them.

A more familiar presence stood out more clearly. Mia stayed near the edge as well, though for an entirely different reason; she was sure of that. There was tension there that didn't belong in a place like this, something coiled beneath the surface. Further in, the tone shifted again. Corporate voices, quieter but no less pointed, were talking about contracts and influence like it was a game they had played too many times to take seriously anymore. It didn't hold her attention long, but it told her enough about the kind of room she was standing in.

Another presence carried more easily than the rest, practiced and confident, someone who knew how to move in a space like this without effort. The Chancellor. Seris didn't need details to understand what she was seeing. Someone who belonged here, who knew how to use it.

It felt good to be back in Coronet and not on a mission, either with CorSec or her own personal agenda. Adelle could pick out Coronet Capitol Tower and CorSec headquarters in the skyline visible from the Obaith estate. She turned her back on the window, rejoining the main event and enjoying a fine glass of Whyren’s Reserve. The hem of her dress brushed against the polished floor, the deep blue fabric of a far finer quality than Adelle usually wore. It was one of the articles from the wardrobe Aurelian had generously bestowed on her following her appointment to Ambassador. The blue and gold dress had felt fitting for tonight, seeing as Corellia’s official planetary colors were the same. She’d even worn the memorial pendant for her parents: a gold medallion featuring the two and a half stars of the Corellian flag. Her father’s soul diamond set in the half star on the left while a black diamond filled the setting of the full star on the right.

It was the best she could do.

Adelle caught sight of a familiar face along the edges of the crowd. Warmaster Monroe stood with all the grace of a military statue, a flute of sparkling wine in her hands but it hadn’t looked like it had been touched at all. Perhaps more shockingly, the Warmaster wasn’t in her usual black and gold beskar’gam. Instead, she wore a rather pristine looking uniform, a gold mythosaur skull emblazoned on her left shoulder.

She could use a break from playing nice and pretending she was any good at politics.

It wasn’t easy moving through the dignitaries and other VIPs invited but the crowd thinned in Monroe’s vicinity. She came to a stop next to the Warmaster, looking out at the crowd rather than the woman herself.

“Warmaster,” she said by way of greeting. Adelle took a slow sip of the Corellian whiskey, savoring the taste. “You clean up nice.”
