- Knowledge : Information is custom tailored to either user, with L3 providing customized support based on the emotional, physical, mental, or business situation at hand. L3 has been carefully programmed to seamlessly blend from translator to personal assistant to therapist with ease. L3 has extensive information on cultures, governments, etiquette, religions, and languages and is consistently updating his databases via encrypted holo/dark net connections.
- Interface : What makes L3 unique is the ability to interface and communicate seamlessly with both users from a distance via encrypted HoloNet and Dark-Net connections. In both L3 units, modules interface with one another to filter information quickly in order to process if the information is for the primary user only or for both parties. Extensive testing and boundaries during the set-up process ensure sensitive information remains private.
- Personal Assistant : Originally designed as a personal assistant for the wealthy and powerful, L3 handles tasks from schedules and arranging travel to greeting visitors to assisting in the latest in fashion.
- Fighter : Sporting two small armaments, L3-37 can assist in ensuring the personal safety of their owner. Programming in threat identification, de-escalation training, and personal protection.
- Advisor : Extensive business and galactic legal acumen allows the L3-37 to act not only as an assistant, but advisor to each owner in situations where the right answer may be unclear.
- Interface : Even with extensive testing and boundaries, any coalescing of information is bound to run into problems. While L3’s loyalties lie with both Myra and Makai, he often will take it upon himself to insert himself into situations where he is not needed nor wanted, especially if he thinks it is in their best interests.
- Distance : If access to the HoloNet, Dark-Net, or other forms of intergalactic communication is limited or non-existent, the sharing of information between both L3 units will be highly delayed. In these cases, each unit will continue to perform their duties, just with a lack of real time information on scheduling, meetings, travel movements, etc until reconnecting.
- Quirky : The L3-37 models have always been highly prone to quirks and developing their own personality. While it is highly recommended to regularly wipe and recalibrate on a scheduled basis, Makai refuses to wipe his units memory, thus creating a more independent L3-37.
- Fighter : L3-37 has been equipped with weapons and training, he is no true bodyguard droid. L3 can reduce threats and allow for his owners to escape / assist but is no match for a trained, formidable opponent (i.e. Jedi, trained assassin).
- EMPs : Extensive internal plastiray coating provides an higher than average protection against ion and EMP attacks, advanced warfare and sustained attacks will cause the L3-37 series to short circuit and restart.
What happens when the offspring of two major corporations fall in love? A lot of logistical challenges. Originally the personal assistant to Myra Arceneau, it was helpfully suggested by L3 himself to become the personal assistant to both Myra Arceneau and Makai Dashiell by creating a system where L3’s programming and personality resides in two physical droid bodies,syncing and sharing information between the pair. Using advanced programming and both the HoloNet and Dark-Net via highly encrypted channels, both L3-37 units blend together information in real time, essentially allowing one programming personality to inhabit two physical droid bodies.
In determining how best the L3-37 Mock III system can work for an individual, extensive testing is done at a PharmaTech location, resulting in hours-long questioning and personality probes. Questions range from the banal such as favorite color to political views to deepest fears and concerns. All responses remain private between the user and PharmaTech, allowing technicians to calibrate the Mock III system to each uniquely without fear of a data breach.
Beyond the personal, both L3-37 units are fully equipped for the needs of a corporate executive. Thanks to the Mock III system and the SSB Greeting & Hostess Matrix, L3-37 often acts as an intermediary between his owners and the business world at large. The assistant can often handle various questions about each company and its products, arrange for sales and meetings, and the finalization of contracts and favors. Due to a high level of programming, L3-37 often is responsible for greeting and ensuring the comfort of those visiting company offices.
