Weekend Event: Shattered Souls

The sounds of darkness grew stronger inside the young Jedi’s mind. His breathing grew heavy with the efforts he took to try and fight back, but he was still too young and inexperienced. If it wasn’t for the help of Ben then Raiden would have surely been seduced fully by the Darkside. Slowly but surely Raiden’s mind began to piece back together. He could finally see clearly once again through the eye holes in his mask. The voices weren’t fully gone, but the Padawan had been able to take control of himself once again. Using the powers of the Force, Raiden’s lightsaber shot up from the ground and back into his right hand.

“I don’t know what’s behind this door, but you’re not going to get it, Sith!” Raiden’s voice roared with clear anger and fury. The voices and sounds coming from the door Ben and Raiden stood near soon went into the back of Raiden’s mind. He had to focus as much of his attention as possible on Daxton. The young one prepared to attack the Sith, but Ben’s Force Push beat him to the punch, but seemed to have little effect. Raiden’s saber activated once again just as Daxton’s weapon fired towards the Jedi. Swinging the blade of light back and forth, Raiden deflected the shots that came towards him, and even sent a few shots back in Dax’s direction.

We need to end this quickly. I don’t like what I’m feeling behind that door, Ben. “ Raiden spoke to Ben through the Force once again, not wanting to reveal his fear of whatever was in the station to their enemy. It seemed Ben felt the same way. Before the volley of blasts ended completely, Ben was gone and behind the Sith. All Raiden could do was watch in anticipation with his lightsaber still activated. He was more than ready to continue this fight if needed.

Moridin finally arrived at the docking bay. He looked around, as the scans had showed the entire hangar was completely empty. There were no ships, no troops, nothing. Good this would make a perfectly fine arena for them to use. He grinned slightly and then turned around and walked over to a stack of crates.

The Dreadlord sat down by them, and then relaxed. He began to hum to himself silently as he waited for the Mandalore.

The door continued to violently shake as someone on the inside of the Hearth Room continued to pound on the door.

"Let me out!"

Mandalore the Rebuilder, the sole ruler of the Mandalorians stepped from the gunship he used to board the Hangar. His intimidating figure tightening the atmosphere itself. His fearsome presence could be felt. The presence of a warrior bred in the flames of combat ever since he could walk. His beskar armor would bring fear to every one wielding a lightsaber. He wasn't wearing his traditional cloak and his battle armor could be well seen with the unique to the Mandalorians paint that marked him as Mand'alor. He had a heavy repeating blaster pistol on his hip but the weapon that he was going to be use was a long Mythosaur axe made of beskar, the famed Mandalorian Iron.

The sole ruler entered a fighting stance awaiting the Sith to engage him without uttering a single word.

Dominator and Kaleeya finally reached the hallway, where the people was. But something wasn't right. There were only two Jedi there. Where was master Windza? Kaleeya looked at the Sith and her eyes became normal again. Maybe seeing a real Sith changed her back? Dominator looked at the Sith and hid behind Kaleeya. Kaleeya looked at him and she seemed angry. "Master Watts, what is going on?" Kaleeya asked from the Jedi master and took her lightsaber out. She pressed the button and a blue laser came out. He was redy to fight.

OOC: One of my last posts in the event. :(

Moridin's eyebrows perked up as he saw the ship land within the hangar. A man stepped from the ship wearing heavy beskar armor and wielding a massive axe. The Dreadlord heart fluttered for a second with glee and happiness, a man willing to face him with an axe, a man willing to fight him with a close ranged weapon. He grew excited, very excited. Slowly he stood up from the crates, feigning as if he was already tired and worn out. He smirked at the other man and drew out a small piece of metal from his thick tribal coat.

You know, four hundred years ago when I was only...twenty seven I believe I fought another Mandalore. Truth be told the man was kind of an idiot. He had turned your people into puppies begging the galaxy for acceptance.” Moridin unlatched a small clasp on his cloak and the great fur coat that he wore dropped to the floor with a silent thud. He then undid a small clasp on the small metal object. “Now even though this man turned your entire culture into a squealing bunch of little puppies he was still quite the fighter. The man just refused to die. If i remember right...the man titled himself the 'Liberator', though what he Liberated i can't really recall.”

The Dreadlord let out a small chuckle, the man truly had been an idiot although this particular Mandalore didn't seem at all like that. The small metal object in Moridins hand unfolded, and the metal came loose. For a few seconds Moridin swung it around in several arches. It was pretty clearly a small butterfly knife. Finally it clasped together and Moridin turned the blade backwards in his hand. “Now, will you also refuse to die? Or will you lay down and accept your fate?”

And with that the Sith Lord began. He bounded forward with intense amounts of speed one would expect from a Sith Lord. He moved in close to The Rebuilder Slicing at the mans vulnerable neck with the small knife.

Mandalore was surprised by the Sith who had decided to fight with a simple butterfly knife but he was bred for battle. He was made to fight, nothing could take his focus away from this battle and he was experienced enough to never underestimate his opponent. The Sith Lord spoke of events that were unknown to the Mandalorian sole ruler so he simply responded:

"A warrior knows nothing of surrender." He answered the Sith's enquiry. As the Sith closed in he slashed with one hand horizontally infront of him at the charging Sith keeping distance from the Sith and of course attempting to slice him with the slash of his axe. Beskar was known not only for its amazing endurability but also for how light it was.

Moridin limbo'd beneath the first slash of the axe dodging it only by only a hairs width. He grinned slightly as the man responded to him, as the second slash came Moridin was not so lucky. He felt the blade bite into his arm leaving a minor cut. The Dreadlord gritted his teeth, he shouldn't underestimate this one. A Mandalorian was still a Mandalorian even four hundred years later, he should have realized this.

The Dreadlord sighed slightly, then slid his foot backwards pivoting himself so he was only a step or two away from The Rebuilder. Then he pivoted again, he stepped forward and like a viper with his left hand reached out towards the Mandalores axe, aiming to grab it by the handle.

The Sith proved agile dodging a swift slash but escaping a second one with only a minor injury. His speed was tremendous and Mandalore had to compete with that. The Sith used the momentum pivoting himself twice before appearing at point-blank range at the Mandalorian. Mandalore would've used the handle to bash the Sith's skull but the Sith was fast enough so the sole ruler of the Mandalorians took a step back and using that as momentum would attempt to deliver a kick at the Sith's face with his boot while his axe was preparing for another slash. He would slash at the Sith if he did not evade by going back, if he did Mandalore would remain in his fighting stance preparing for the Sith's assault.

Dominator looked at Kaleeya and grabbed her hand. Then he started to run and thus, pulled the girl with him. "Are you crazy? There is a Sith. We don't know, how powerful he is!" Dominator said and moved on. Kaleeya didn't want to leave, but she had to. She wanted to fight and see, what was in the Heart Room. But Dominator ruined it. He jumped on a speeder and so did Kaleeya and they started to drive away. Many hours later, they reached the docking bay and walked to The Republic's ship.

OOC: Have to leave now! May the Force be with you.

The Dreadlord grinned as the Mandalore took the bait. If there was something he knew about Mandalorians it was their armor. He knew how it was made...or well how it was put together and where its weakness were. Mandalorian armor was segmented, it was made up of several dozen different plates of either Beskar or Durasteel. None of these plates however overlapped. They were segmented and between each section was a small almost unnoticeable gap.

These gaps when certain moves were made became bigger, and a kick was one of these moments. The Dreadlord knew this and he had worked himself into this situation on purpose. In almost an instant Moridin dropped down to the left and into a tight controlled roll towards the Mandalore's left, away from the mans axe and towards his outstretched leg with only his arm extended outward.

At the end of his arm was his hand with the Butterfly knife in it heading straight towards the back of the Mandalore's knee aiming to sever the knot of muscles and tendons that were found there.

A shadow formed behind the Sith, Daxton, and out of the shadow stepped the tall menacing Xhinx, with his saber in hand, yet Xhinx was still clouded by the shadows of the corridor, only Daxton could feel Xhinx. Now that Xhinx was closer than ever to Raiden, he started manipulating the man, making him lose all sanity, putting false images of corpes that has recently fallen by his hand. Xhinx called upon Raiden to fight along side Daxton. Then Xhinx spoke to Raiden "Grab your saber, your masters back is turned, take the saber, and stab him in the back, claim HIS powers for yourself!"

It was Mandalore's experience in combat that had brought upon one of his big talents: The talent of anticipation. Despite it the Sith's speed was deadlier but still his perception of the events saved him from a sever injury. As the Sith brought his knife at a small gap in his armor, it was Mandalore's high anticipation that made him use the momentum of the kick to deadweight to the left and roll while hugging his axe. Still he felt blood dripping within his armor but nothing too sever, he had sustatined deadly wounds in battle and still prevailed. Now Mandalore had to cope with the speed the Sith demonstrated. After analyzing the Sith's agile moves he would be more than prepared to retaliate to the Sith's future attacks.

"You are swift as a viper, Sith." He said with his typical intimidating tone while standing in his fighting stance once again. He twirled the axe with ease showing his prowess of the heavy weapon as he wielded it as it was light. Mandalore lunged at the Sith and attempted to slash at his legs while wielding the weapon with one hand he aimed to open up the Sith with his axe and use one of his concealed wrist weapons to counter the Sith's next move.

Moridin stood up from his roll almost instantly, he still held his knife although on inspection he noticed that the very top half inch of the blade was entirely gone. He frowned slightly, they just didn't make blades like they used to. Almost immediately after he whirled back around staring at the Mandalore. The man spoke for a few seconds, and Moridin smirked slightly at the man compliment. He had absolutely no idea just how fast The Dreadlord was...or once had been.

As the man came at him Moridin demonstrated his speed once again. He leaned back several times dodging the axe with just an inch to spare each time. Just as he dodged the swing of the axe he noticed the mans wrist shift slightly and something within the force yelled at him to get away. He frowned and spoke, although rather quickly. “Another thing I learned about Mandalorian armor. Aside from the segmentation of the plates..”

Moridin interrupted himself as he brought up both of his hands in open palms his butterfly knife cradling in his right hand. A massive well of the force erupted form his palm as Moridin sent a giant fore push Towards the Mandalorian, at this distance it would be hard to dodge. “Your armor spreads out kinetic force quite horridly.”

Alli gave up on the sith and ordered her droids to stop firing, as now they were fighting and she couldn't gaurentee who could be shot. She closed her eyes for a moment and brought her hands to her forhead in thought. What to do, She then decided to do something either stuipid or genius, She ordered the 2 of the droids to fire their wrist missles at the door, that should clear it she thought. " Step away from the door! " She yelled as the small missles propelled themselves towards the door and the following explosions enveloped it. She smirked waiting for the smoke to clear to see if it worked. She wondered what was on the other side.

Mandalore ignored the man's remarks on the Mandalorian armor. He obviously did not know what different forms mandalorian iron could be rendered to. It certainly was a 'magical' material but it was thanks to the Mandalorian metalsmith that the beskar could shine to it's maximum potential. The Sith had dodged the axe once again and had prepared for his counter attack, he narrowed his wrist at the man just in time to fire a few blaster bolts at the Sith while being sent away with the Force, despite that he fired a few more rounds of blaster bolts while flying away. In mid-air he activated his jetpack gaining balance while proceeding back to firing with his wrist blaster at the Sith. As he landed on the ground after deactivating his jetpack he charged for his next assault at the Sith while continuing his rain fire on the Sith. As he closed down the distance between him and the Sith Lord while charging at the Sith he had already came up with a plan for his next move.

As the man flew away blaster bolts started to fly, fantastic because Moridin loved dealing with blasters. The First few shots actually struck Moridin several times. His abdomen and left arm received slight a burn mark each and he grunted in pain as he stumbled backwards from the grazing blaster bolts. He had time to recover however and as the man once again began firing at him The Dreadlord finally called his lightsaber to his hand.

The long hilt sprang up, and ignited within a seconds notice. The deep orange blade sprang up and immediately set to work deflecting bolt after bolt into the ground, ceiling, and walls. As the Mandalore came charging back at him Moridin once again seized the force.

He tore at one of the couplings on the wall ripping it off and sending it flying towards The Rebuilder. At the same time he pivoted backwards taking a defensive stance with his blade, then a strange eerie red spark erupted from his free hand barely visible, signaling the start of something else.

The Hearth Room was a simple empty room.

Nobody was present except for a dais in the middle of the room. The floors were a clean pearl white.

On this dais stood a podium.

On this podium stood a simple crystalline gem, glowing with black and red runes.

"Take me with you," a voice chimed in only Xhinx's head.

Teferi, confused from his trip to the Engine Room (what was Ben doing? Teferi hadn't felt his presence in hours) hobbled back to his transport just in time to hear a loud alarm.

"ALARM. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. SUBJECT 1101-H-09 HAS BEEN BREACHED. ALARM. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. SUBJECT 1101-H-09 HAS BEEN BREACHED."

"QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS IN EFFECT."

Red lights began to flash throughout the station.
