A massive structure the size of a large continent floated through space. Within its massive maws rested hulking skeletons of ancient warships. Star Destroyers, Mon Calamari Cruisers, A dozen other ships sat within the dry docks of the massive space station. Slowly it spun around, over and over again as if trying to calm a chaotic universe. This was Naval Station Validusia, and a mysterious evil had overtaken it.

The Galactic Republic is the first on the scene, eager to collect the remnants of an ancient fleet and collect what scraps they can to aid them in this new uncivilized Galaxy.

Not far behind them lays the threat of the Sith, the Mandalorians, the Syndicate & other factions eager to reap the newly found Naval Station of it's rewards.

Teferi sat aboard the Republic cruiser Lion's Maw , staring out into space from the command deck of the ship.

"Multiple contacts. Republic security codes processing. The rest of the fleet is arriving, Admiral." The wrinkled old Jedi looked to the side to notice one of the deckhands speaking to Admiral Taunn. Various orders were instructed, rules of engagement laid out. They had traveled to coordinates deep within the Unknown Regions, and area that had been thought to be mapped by the Sith Empire before the Four Hundred Year Darkness.

The green monk stayed silent, nodding to two Jedi padawans who began to head to the docking bay within the ship. They were here - they had arrived at Naval Station Validusia, a relic of the past, and a resource for the future. Nobody knew who really constructed the small moon-sized shipyard, but they all knew what a faction had to gain from occupying it successfully.

"Caution, we must exercise. Alone in our pursuit of this station, we are not."

Teferi stared back out at the stars, an eerie silence looming over the Lion's Maw as the rest of the fleet began to move into docking position with the station.

With silenced jets, and a cloaked heat signature, a small personal ship reared up remaining cloaked, stirring in the darkness of space. The ship monitored all movement near the wreckage.

With her head facing a window out into space, Elara could only perceive the Validusia as some alien construction of scrap through the Force as the Lion’s Maw approached. While it was not exactly the same vision that others would see as they gazed at the space station, it would have had the same effect on her.

Once the Lion’s Maw docked with this ancient behemoth, Elara began to make her way to the exit of the bridge in order to enter the space station's docking bay. She was among the first scheduled to board the Validusia.

Before leaving the bridge, she asked, “What do you believe we will find in this, Master Teferi?

Naval Station Validusia
High Orbit

Navy Captain Pherson stood on the bridge of the Preservation-Class Star Defender Destiny Forward. Clad in his Mark I armor he squinted against the opaque glass. Something was wrong about this lost station. Something was very, very wrong.

"What's the first order of business Captain."

Lt. Commander Daniels smiled and approached the observation post. She was a seasoned Coruscanti officer and very much ready to begin. Flint was glad to have her at his side. She would make a good Captain some day.

"Have the Interceptor Squadrons begin a parameter sweep of the station. I want 24 ships out there making a map of this thing."
"Yes sir. Anything else?"
"We are not alone out here Lieutenant. I want all stations on combat stand by. Our first objective is to secure the station and get it's power back on. Then we'll see what we are working with down there. Beginning a scanner sweep immediately."
"Aye aye sir."

Pherson gave the command and Daniels returned to the Holoboard. This was going to be a strange operation indeed.

"Com Specialist. Get Admiral Taunn of the Lions Maw on the com."
"Yes sir. Right away sir. ...Have it sir. Go ahead."
"Admiral Taunn. This is Captain Pherson of the Destiny Forward. We'll be running picket duty and scanner sweeps of the station from the outside. We hope to have thermal and ion scans of this entire region within the hour. Until then, the water is ours sir. ...Standing by for further orders."

Pherson stood with his helmet underneath his arms. His ship was ready.

*ooc note: advanced scanner sweep has been initiated. All cloaked vessels must now hide in the shadow of the station, the shadow of nearby wreckage, the shadow of a larger heat signature, within the station itself, or remain dead in the water. Don't turn your engines on and we won't see you. During sublight, heat and ion scanners emit and rebound at the speed of light. Scanner sweep originates from all Republic Cruiser class vessels, not the Interceptors.

Silas Ward

Mandolorian assassin
Silas had been aboard the long lost station for what seemed like hours, or maybe not. "Damn it!" He said when he saw the LION'S MAW, he knew wasn't going to be the only one to find the floating chunk of twisted metal and space junk. "The sooner I get more mandalorians, the better." He mumbled to himself as he walked over to one of the station docking arms that held a massive heap of burnt and scraped metal that was probably once an imperial star destroyer.

A shimmer glided through the vast ocean of darkness, the only marking of its passage is a slight glimmer of distilled light. The TIE Haunter, a prototype TIE design with an advanced cloaking device banked right towards the ancient shipyard, cloaked against the blackness. The invisible ship skimmed along the bottom of the shipyard, and docked onto the nearest flat surface, looking more like a odd piece of the structure than a ship, clamps locking onto the metal as a fusion-cutter sliced into the wall, opening up a large circle in the hull of the yard. From the darkness of the hole emerged a single figure dressed in ultrachrome and duraplast armor with a large helmet covering his head, a small light exploding into life as the man surveyed his surroundings and determined that the area was un-compromised and relatively safe for now. He started to move into the station, scanning for any life forms that came within range.

((Btw, this post was written before Flint's, but I got distracted by dinner before I could properly post it.))

Silas heard the sound of someone entering the station and couldn't resist going to find out who it was, so he took his dual pistols and trudged over a pile of junk, using his helmet's headlight he could see Kaine clear as day. "You there, what is your name and business on Validusia!" He called out to man in the spotlight "tell me now!"

Kaine slowed to a dead stop as the light flooded the hallway and illuminated him. Damn, who's the upstart who dared to... He spotted a Mandalorian behind a pile of junk and sneered behind his helmet, Oh, is that all? I expected more. Kaine raised his arms as if to surrender to the man, a ploy he'd used before, before a large spike fitted with an explosive electric charge roared from a launcher on his arm towards the ground near the man, which on impact would unleash a small EMP wave that could tamper with his electronics. Then Kaine would roll behind a nearby wall leading into another hallway for cover as he un-clipped the "Chimera" Blaster Rifle slung over his back and took aim, unloading a few concentrated bolts down towards Silas.

Moridin stood upon the bridge of the Nihilist a Dragon class Warship developed and built by Emperor Krayt almost four hundreds years ago. The Dreadlord had basically dug them out of storage on Byss. Bringing them back into commission and making sure they still functioned correctly. Now this ship along with about a dozen others just like it were part of the greater Sith Empir fleet which at present course would be arriving at Naval Station Validusia in about 10 minutes.

The Dreadlord looked at his chrono for a few seconds, then turned away from the window. Nearly every single Sith World had been emptied of its ships. Of course a few Star Destroyers remained behind to protect Sith Space, but most everything was now traveling through hyperspace directly towards the Drydock station. Moridin had done this, he had orchestrated this. He was in charge of the Pillar of Strength, the military arm of the Sith. When the information had come to him about this station his interest had been peaked. He had no memory of the station, but he guessed that it and many like it had been built by Palpatines Empire long ago.

He had no trouble believing in the stations existence, and he also had no trouble believing the Republic would try to take it. Knowing this fact Moridin had sent for every ship that could be spared, and he had received them. The Massive Sith fleet stumbled through hyperspace, until finally it reached its destination.

I want every weapon ready to fire as soon as we exit hyperspace, I want the Republic to bend their knee before the real fight even starts.” Moridin knew that the republic was already there. His informants within their military had told him of their fleets departure, from there it had been easy enough to figure out when they would arrive and when the Sith would arrive, it was simple Math really.

An ensign nodded to Moridin from across the room, and The Dreadlord turned around in acknowledgment. He faced the window, and for a few more seconds watched as blue streaks went by. Then with a sudden jerk the massive Sith Fleet dropped out of hyperspace.

As the ships began to line up in space they immediately targeted the stationed Republic fleet. Mass amounts of green and red turbolaser Fire flew from the Sith fleet accompanied by hundreds of cuncussion missiles. Moridin's lips grew into a smirk as he watched the thousands of different lasers fly towards the Republic Ships.

"Nothing good."

Teferi watched slowly as the Sith Empire emerged from hyperspace, the their arrival marked by the cloud of red energy emerging from their cannons towards the Republic fleet.

"Meditate, I must. Disturbed, I should not be. Waiting to begin loading the landing platforms with the Republic, the rest of the Order is."

The old Jedi began to hobble back to his personal quarters.

Silas staggered back a few feet from the blast before turning and running from Kaine to find the nearest power outlet, no doubt in the reactor room of the station. The place had to have some power, didn't it?

Kaine watched as the man retreated away from him, and decided not to follow the Mando. He had other important business to attend to than chasing some crackpot down. He turned from the area of the scuffle and trodded down through the station before luckily running into a security station, with rows of monitors lining the far wall and consoles near them. This was a best a place as ever to set up shop, and Kaine went to work to see what he could do with the ancient technology before him, plugging in a multitude of datapads into power outlets and conduits, trying to bypass or unravel any firewalls and security measures that still existed and gain some semblance of control. Kaine also set up a motion sensor near the door to warn him of any intruders, and almost immediately it went off, to which Kaine crouched down and peeked out of his room, to only see the form of another masked man, but this one completely different from the Mando he encountered earlier.

Commencing Counter Attack

"All hands battle stations! Interceptors retasked to counter offensive. Launch all Starfighters on deck 1. Launch all Bombers on deck 2."
... "All security teams to the armory. All security teams to the armory."
... "All guns fire at will. All guns fire at will."
... "Strap down all ground assets. Vehicles on the tarp people."
... "Seal off all injured decks. Repeat, stand by to seal off all injured decks."
"Tractor Beams on intercept course with those missile drag lines! Drag all missiles on that vector!"

The Star Defender Destiny Forward was counter attacking.

"Bring us up to the Fleet Line. I want our counter attack in a straight line and holding solid. All hands prepare for battle!"

Sitting in his small state room, the Jedi Master sat on the floor and turned his thoughts towards focusing on the Force to unify and protect the Republic fleet and it's pilots.

Hope, there was, that they would land members of the Republic and the Jedi Order on the station.

Kaine aimed his blaster rifle at the door, but when he saw the saber he slacked his rifle a tad. "Hold your weapon, and come into the door-frame so I can see you. Have to make sure you're either friend or foe." He said confidently, knowing that most likely this was the Sith operative that had also come on the infiltration mission as his backup.

Moridin could feel Teferi's presence in the enemy fleet, he felt peace and harmony flow through the enemy fleet and his smirk grinned. As he felt the enemy merge together Moridin countered it. He called upon the darkside of the force in a swirling mass. He stretches his hand within the force and wrapped his thoughts around those within his fleet. He dominated their wills, their minds, everything. The Sith Fleet became one, all under Moridin.

The Dreadlord saw the battle field in his mind, and he began to counter every move the Republic made. He spread his will through space, and allowed his fleet to move with perfect precision.

Cruiser, frigates, and smaller ships moved forward firing missiles with precise concentrations. The Larger capital ships stayed back using long rage turbolasers to bombard the enemy fleet. TIE Fighters and the like stayed back within the fleet while the bombers of the fleet seemed to slink and dissapear within the blackness of space.

Republic Fleet Battle Line

"Sir enemy Starfighters are not advancing."
"Get me Admiral Taunn."
"Live sir!"
"Admiral this is Captain Pherson. Requesting permission to move the line forward sir! Their starfighters are not advancing. We need to pull forward to let our bombers hit them hard."
"Agreed. ...Helmsman. Order all ships advance."
"You heard the Admiral. All starfighter squadrons are retasked to bomber escort. Interceptors keep their flyboys busy. Push them now!"

The Republic Fleet began a firing advance. They would push the battle inside of the Sith Fleet. Enemy starfighters would need to advance through space upon them. However, Republic starfighters would be inside their formation. That was new plan.

"Sir. This battle won't be won by numbers alone. The key is that station! Whoever wins that station? Wins this fight."
"Good call Lt. Arm all our Naval Assault Boys. Get all our shuttles down to that station now! Get the power back on and let's claim that firepower for the Republic!"
"Yes sir. Launching all Navy Assault Gunships now."

Pherson aimed at putting an additional 90 Assault troopers down to the Station to assist the Lions Maw. That station would decide this battle.
