Strengths & Weaknesses

(+) Cunning & Shrewd: To be a succesful smuggler one has to have a sharp mind. Scoundrels nonetheless but most if not all smugglers are sly, shrewd and cunning individuals and that is to be expected if they want to survive as in most situations smugglers are usually outnumbered and outgunned.

(+) Fast-drawing Gunslinger: In the rare cases where a smuggler might face a low number of adversaries even one, the skill of the blaster is essential. The faster you draw, the higher the chance you survive. Of course accurancy is also included. Zef's skills with blaster pistols have brought him quite some fame amongst his profession collegues and the underworlds of system he often smuggled goods to. His accurancy is also on par but not when it comes to marksmaning or long-range shots, this will be pointed out in weaknesses. Another note: His preferred weapon is a blaster pistol but he is also adept with carbines and rifles although not as expert as with pistols.

(+) Survival Instincts: Being on the illegal side of the galaxy and especially in the smuggler sector, one which you almost always must toss your pride from the window and take to heels, Zef is quite fast (also explained in bio), agile and has unorthodox methods of fleeing. His reflexes and quick reactions are also something that has saved him numerous times. And no by that doesn't mean he dodges bullets like Neo

(-) Meager Long-range Skills: Zef's skills are marginal when it comes to long-range combat. His accurancy to hit things far away with whatever weapon was below average. Zef also dislikes the use of snipers and finds them "unattractive".

(-) Hand-to-Hand Combat. No: Zef is a typical street/bar brawler with the typical skill of hurling punches and defending his ass when it came to a typical street or bar brawl but he is not one to last long in a close-quarter fight, so he almost always resorts to his cheap moves which are also boosted by his agility and reflexes. Yet again close-quarter combat without a blaster is certainly not his thing and he would attempt to evade such situations from happening.

(-) Old Man: Zef is no longer the young and energetic credit-obsessed smuggler but an older man. As a human this comes with physical drawbacks.

(-) Grumpy: Zef is a ball of negative energy.

Biography

Part 1 and Part 2 here

  • Part 3
Now the cannons are silent
His friends are all gone
Gotta put it all behind him
If he ever wants to find his way home
He's the last rebel on the road

Long were gone the Mandalorian Crusade days. Left behind ruined planets, overrated glory, the fall of the Republic and the infinite loop of Mandalorian civil wars. Old man Zef hanged his beskar'gam away, feeling lost and aimless, turning back to what he knew best and where he found himself - smugglin'.

With an amplified grumpy attitude, the good ol' scoundrel lived from job to job until that same chit he'd been too old for caught up to him. Daro Tarsi. He'd broken a prison to get that idiot out of it and ended up robbing a Confederate bank with him. For ol' fart, Tarsi still had that youthful energy and furious lethal temper Zef had witnessed the day they met decades ago.

If that wasn't enough, the smuggler paired with a young junkie girl in the heist of the Hapes royal palace. He acquired both the Queen's Crown and a Corusca Gem. The crown went with the girl and the gem he gambled and lost on sabacc. Unlike his daughter, he had incredibly bad wealth management skills.

Talking about family - the spawns had multiplied by the dozen. In no time, Zef thought, he had become a grandfather not of one, but of many grandkids. Unlike him, Joza stood by her children's side. Ironically, to Zef's chagrin, nearly all of them turned to become Jedi or something similar with a bathrobe and a flashing rod of light.

With one of his older grandkids - [member="Yula Perl"] and, check this out, his son - [member="Mav Vohaloveer"], Zef ended up in a near fatal encounter with the Sith on Rhen Var seeking to snatch some allegedly powerful Force artifact - the Fell Star. Luck smiled on them early when Yula ended up crashing with her arse on the stupid star, only for it to be revealed a dupe later on when they engaged in a fight with a time manipulating weirdarse mofo and a fat man who could eat a black hole because why not. In either case, the dupe they had sold as good as the real one. Besides it had booty imprints that made it all the more valuable for all these nerds behind their holoscreens.

Afterwards, he ended up working for, check THIS out - [member="Runi Verin"], as a quality control consultant on various technological blueprints in a Factory in another dimension. Typical for him, Zef went on an unannounced sick leave dropping the ball hard on one of Isley's thousand and one children. Most recently, the two plotted over a holo-call a new plan for the future to a place where swords were still made of steel.
