Weekend Event: Shattered Souls

Kaine watched as the lights blared and the quarantine protocol was initiated, Kaine then decided that now was time to feed his curiosity and gathered his things. He stepped out of the room and loaded his Chimera before sprinting down the hallway in the direction of the chamber where the Jedi and Sith both fought before the mysterious room, never sparing a moment's hesitation as to if the thing within could be potentially dangerous, as his curiosity over-rode his common sense for now, and he'd be damned before he left here before at least seeing what was inside. By the time he reached the hallway leading to the room, he found himself behind the one woman who commanded a group of battle droids. He could've attacked her, but she was below his concern, so he casually strode up to the entrance to the room with the Sith and Jedi, and merely watched now.

Alli turned and ran not wanting to be involved in all of this, her armor dung up she found a control room of sorts where she gladly holed up. She locked the door and set her droids to guard, where she began to copy over any information she could get. It seemed research of some sort was done here and there was much data if you could get through the security, so she got to work when she got an alert about activating security to pervent the escape of the patient which she gladly gave permission to. She watched the screens of cameras where doors slammed shut through out the station blocking hall ways and rooms. This in turn caused turrets and whatever else might start up and begin to shoot or harm "intruders" she got to work, as she could always get her self back to her ship no problem. Alli also started working on who might be considered a intruder.. it seemed anyone in the room right now... was "helping " an escape and cringed as she saw the protocols to start, The hearth room started to move in on it self and some sort of force field blocked the door to replace the fact the acutal door was gone. . Slowly compressing inward like a garbage compactor. She went back to her information hacking though, as she didn't care to watch even sith get crushed to death.

"Then Master Watts you are more the fool than I thought you to be. At true Sith never knows defeat." Daxton laughed manically as his free hand reached for his bandolier and dropped two stun grenades at their feet. At this range, the blast would be impossible to dodge for the Jedi since he wasn't wearing any armor, unlike the Sith who was.

The twin blasts rocked the corridor, would greatly impair anyone with aural dampers. "So much for your vaulted skill Master Watts. Still I will spare your life today, perhaps next time you will know not to stand in the way of the Sith."

When he looked back, the girl and her droids were nowhere to be seen and door was broken open. With enhanced speed, he ran into the room and liberated the treasure inside.

(I know but this a side plot, a detour so to speak. The Jedi want to prevent whatever is in that hearth room from escaping. Daxton wishes to free it because it speaks to him and it will provide a reason for Master Watts and myself to engage in future opposition. The story potential is just too tempting to resist.)

A dark spiraling red energy seemed to absorb into Xhinx the moment he makes contact with the runed artifact.

Possessed, it seems, Xhinx is. In his mind, another voice appears.

"Escape this place. Head to Mandalore to find my brother."

At this point, Xhinx would feel an otherwordly power, a strength that imbued him with the ability to devastate and dominate any Force User that came his way. Possess other trained Force Users, he could, to follow the path of the Black Lotus. Only Masters of the Light could resist such a dark power.

"Build me an army."

Above them sounded the alarm.

"QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS IN EFFECT. SELF-DESTRUCT ORDER 403-3-6565 IS NOW IN EFFECT. ALL PERSONNEL EVACUATE. ALL PERSONNEL EVACUATE."

"QUARANTINE PROTOCOLS IN EFFECT. SELF-DESTRUCT ORDER 403-3-6565 IS NOW IN EFFECT. ALL PERSONNEL EVACUATE. ALL PERSONNEL EVACUATE."

"A disturbance, I have felt. Escape this place, we must."

Teferi looked to his escort and boarded the transport, heading back to the Republic fleet.

With that Alli copied over the remaiining data, she wasn't going to let this place take her, and she hacked her escape out, opening the doors leading from her room to the hanger bay she had docked in. With ease, Alli made her way out, as the last thing she wanted was to die from this horrible station. She quickly made her way into the ship only being slowed by the speed of her droids the ship soon began to undock, and make its way back in to hyperspace. She wanted to get as far from this place as possible.

Xhinx suddenly felt a raging power surge through out him, and almost levitated right past the "battlefield" letting himself be seen, he past right by the two jedi, and travelled searching for Mandalore. After somewhat of a journey he came to a stop nearing Mandalore, then the Dread Lord near, instantly Xhinx looked at the lord and spoke to him as if the Black Lotus was controlling him. "Brother, I have been looking for you."

The Sith dropped two stun grenades and Ben sighed again. Quickly he created a forcefield around himself to protect himself from the blast of the grenades. When they exploded, Ben crouched down and covered himself as an extra precaution, the blast crashed against his shield but he held it firm and it did not get past his forcefield. Once the blast ended, Ben released his forcefield, and he stood up just in time to see the Sith sprint away into the room.

He was running out of options, there were now two Sith in the room, and now that it was open he could feel the true power of what was inside. He hesitated for a moment before he did anything else. He knew he was stronger than the Sith he was facing, much stronger, but the power that was inside the room was tremendous. It would take every bit of skill Ben could muster just to overpower the mere presence of the energy. Yet alone fight off another Sith in the process, all while quarantine measures were being inacted.

"Note to self, the Sith are inherently stupid." He mumbled to himself and he deactivated his lightsaber. There was nothing he could do on his own here now. It would take much more than himself to defeat whatever it was that the Sith had stumbled upon. His next problem came with escaping the darned station which was going to be fun. He turned on his heels and he sprinted through the corridors, weaving his way through the hallways, and getting as far away from whatever the two Sith had stumbled upon.

Then he remembered that he had come here with a Republic escort which he had promptly sent back. Well, things could not get much worse at least, what with a Sith who was probably wielding a terrible power and the other Sith cronie who was delusional about his own skills. He remembered passing a hangar bay that would probably have a ship he could get out. Once inside, he found a suitable ship, and he hopped into it. He was not the greatest pilot in the world, far from it actually, but he had enough skill to start one up and fly out of the god foresaken station.

"...Captain. Got a Jedi landing all alone on deck 2. He just came in from the station after all the bells and whistles started singing?"
"Understood Specialist. Get him to the Bridge. Myself and the Admiral will want a status update. I want to know what is going on down there."

*boom*

"...And somebody put that fire out! I've already got five holes on my boat. I don't need to die of asphyxiation too!"
"Yes sir!"

Flint wiped the sweat from his brow as he threw another empty fire extinguisher against the wall. He would need to remember to double up on those things next time.

"Brother?" Daxton smiled maliciously as he unslung the bandolier and dropped it to the ground. Using the power of the dark side, Daxton levitated several grenades and his third light saber which blazed to live in a hum of light blue energy. He did not care if this station would explode all around them, no one was stealing his prize.

"I have no brothers. This door is the only exit out of the room. To get through it, you will have to go through me. I am much stronger than you in the Dark Side, you stand no chance of survival if you stand against me. I will give you one chance to surrender it to me and live. Fight and die, you're choice."

Faintly hearing the sound of the woman’s voice yelling out once again, Raiden turned his attention in her direction. The missiles from the two droids fired off were quickly coming closer in the Padawan’s direction. Using the Force to boost his speed, he managed to roll out of the way before the missiles crashed into the door, but the force from the small explosions was enough to still toss him a few feet away. The smoke cleared his vision for a moment, but as it began to clear, Raiden could see the door had been cracked open! The young man knew he had to get in the room before any of the Sith could, but it appeared he was too late.

Raiden tried to dash to the open door before anyone else, but the Sith were too fast. He stopped in the doorframe for a moment and realized that whatever was calling out to everyone was now in the possession of the Sith, making them an even more dominating force. The tide of the battle changed and even he knew that staying to fight an overpowered Sith and two other warriors of the Darkside would be a mistake, but he couldn’t stand there and do nothing. If it wasn’t for the sound of the alarms going off to signal a detonation program had become active. It drove him insane to do it, but Raiden turned from the room and began to charge down the hallways he’d come from before. Knowing how much time he had left before the station became nothing but another lifeless crater was difficult to tell. Raiden had to use the Force to increase his speed once again as he ran. He soon found the craft he’d landed in and programed it for takeoff. There was no more time to spare. He takes off from the hanger and flies to safety. The Sith may have gotten whatever was causing such darkness within the station, but Raiden didn’t intend on letting them keep it for long.

His ship darted through the airspace as explosions went on around him. The only way he made it to the Destiny Forward was because the force was guiding him. If anyone else had been piloting that ship they would have been blown to bits. As he was approaching the ship, he grabed his comm, it was going to be a bumpy landing. "Destiny Forward, this is Jedi Master Watts, you are going to want to clear out the landing dock." With that he placed the comm back and readied to land his ship. By land, he meant crash.

As he approached he did everything in his power to try and land the ship smoothly. But it was almost like a cartoon as he flew into the landing area going way to fast. The ship hit the ground and skidded across the floor, and despite Ben's desperate attempts to get it to stop, crashed directly into one of the ships that was already docked. He wasted no time and he jumped out of the ship with a somber look on his face. "Sorry, sorry, I am not to keen on this whole flying thing." He looked around at the Republic soldiers who were just staring at him.

"Anyone seen Captain Pherson? Oh, and if he asks, this was you." He pointed at a soldier and then he grinned to himself, obviously he was not going to blame the poor soldier, but he needed a bit of humor.

Destiny Forward Deck 2

Pherson came to Watts. Almost six feet tall in his blue Mark I armor and looking none to pleased. Though, the landing was actually pretty good for a Jedi?

"Jedi. I'm Captain Pherson and I need to know what is going on down there on that station. We recieved communications about warning lights and sounds? That station is priority one. Can we take it or not?"

*boom*

The ship shook again as another turbolaser volley smashed against the recycling shields. Most of the other decks had been evacuated and sealed. They were still just tearing through armor and empty rooms. Well... Mostly.

"Just tell me that this station is everything we had hoped for and more."

"Time's up dirt bag!" Daxton said as he ignited the floating concussion and stun grenades around still Sith. "You should have surrendered when you had the chance."

Floating in a sea of anger and rage, Daxton stuck forward with all three blades, striking at the knees, the elbows, the shoulders. Too many attacks, from all directions to sufficiently be blocked. Even with the gem, the power at Daxton's command still flowed through him. Power took will, without it, you are nothing.

Landing a snap kick to the jaw that would shatter bones and teeth. Daxton sent a mental command to the gem. "Do not align yourself with the meek. You need one strong in the Dark Side. Join me and we shall spread chaos and death."

"The station is no longer a priority. The mission went completely AWOL almost as soon as I stepped foot in the place. It was apparently taken over by some sort of evil that I have never seen before. I was attacked by two bumbling Sith who, through a series of rather unfortunate events, came into possesion of a crystal that gave them powers that not even I could contain. It initiated some sort of safety measures and the station is self destructing. So basically we need to get out of here. Sorry Captain, but this was not what we hoped for, I have failed you, the Jedi, and the entire Republic."
