SPECIAL FEATURES

STRENGTHS
  • Heavily armed and armoured troop transporter. Equipped with heavy armour and strong shielding, the vehicle can take a beating and has the armaments to dish out. Moreover, it can transport a platoon strength unit into combat.
  • Much like the Juggernaut, is is surprisingly fast for a vehicle of its size.
WEAKNESSES
  • Turning. Like its parent model, this is a weakness for it. The slowness required for turns makes it a better choice for combat in open terrain than in urban environments as well as rough or uneven terrain. For example, moving through the narrow streets of a dense urban environment would require it to slow down to a crawl, making it an even easier target.
  • Big, cumbersome and very heavy, it is an easy target to spot and hit. Not subtle at all. Obvious target for air and artillery strikes. In addition, the Titan's size and bulk also impact what kind of terrain it can traverse.
DESCRIPTION

Heavily armoured, fast and rolling on huge wheels, the Titan derives many of its features from the venerable HAVw-A6 Juggernaut that served the Galactic Republic so well during the Clone Wars. Like its parent model, it is a heavy troop transport that can absorb an impressive amount of punishment, unleash heavy firepower and deploy a contingent of soldiers into battle.

For a vehicle of its size, it is quite fast. However, as with the ancient Juggernaut, turning is an issue, requiring it to slow down its speed considerably. It has difficultues in uneven or rough terrain as well as urban environments, making it more suited for deployment in open fields or areas where it can simply knock down obstacles in its path. In short, it is not ideal for dense forests or difficult mountainous terrain.

An extendable scouting probe and lookout can be extended upward. This allows a spotter to improve targeting and the crew's awareness of their surroundings. The heavy assault vehicle's main weapon is a powerful 120mm Magnetic Accelerator Cannon. Moreover, it features Deathstrike Concussion Missile launchers and an array of anti-personnel and anti-light vehicle weapons, though these armaments are quite configurable. The wheels of the assault vehicle are massive, as befitting a juggernaut of this size. Large bump flexors provide shock support. There is also a flexible system of shocks and servos. However, as mentioned, it is not the best vehicle in uneven terrain. The wheels are quite tough, making it difficult to immobilise the vehicle without the use of heavy ordnance.

The Titan comes equipped with advanced climate control systems. These enable it to provide protection to soldiers and cargo alike from atmospheric effects and hazards, such as heat from heat, sand or ash storms in desert environments or the cold of arctic worlds such as Hoth. This also protects those inside from radiation. Moreover, the Titan features small ports on the sides of the vehicle. Passengers can fire out of the sides using these ports. Theoretically there are enough for everyone to shoot, though this is rarely done. The Titan has a small pod above the vehicle's front, allowing a spotter to watch out for enemy forces and other obstacles. This obviously leaves him vulnerable, which is why the Titan has advanced sensors, but sometimes more hands-on observation is required. The observation mast can be retracted when it is not needed.
