Description:
Contracted to make weapons for the Blackblade Guard, ArmaTech played to its strengths. The Blackblade wished for a crowd control weapon, capable of lethal battlefield use, and they received. The is just that, able to slice down huge swaths of enemy troops or malcontents, creating a torrent of blaster fire and destruction for the Guard.

A powerful weapon, the Hellstorm, much like its predecessor the Hellfire and its basis the Retini and the Z-6, it is designed for anti infantry use. The weapon is slightly more powerful than weapons like the E-11, each bolt more comparable to an A280 Blaster Rifle, assisting its anti-infantry role by providing it with great knock down capability. Due to the combination of its high rate of fire and considerable strength per bolt the Hellstorm batters down personal shields, is effective against many personal armors and some light vehicles, and is extremely deadly to unarmored flesh. It makes a good Heavy weapon to support a platoon, an excellent skate mounted anti-infantry weapon, and a useful man operated sponsons for aircraft like the Cobra.

The weapon has too high a rate of fire using a standard power pack was practically worthless, and as such it is deployed with a heavy ten kilogram pack capable of holding a charge for three thousand bolts, or roughly forty five seconds of continuous use.

Draco Vereen said:
Continuous Beam: The Long beam fires a single continuous beam of energy in bursts. The burst is for as long as the trigger is held, and can last up to 20 seconds before Barrel Heat becomes dangerous, then a 10 second pause for the cooling system to compensate is required.

The beam duration needs to be considerably shorter.
