Description:
A simple remote controlled system allowing crewmen to operate weapons while safely hidden within their vehicles. It requires a wired system, so it cannot be operated by other vehicles, but with the benefit of not being able to be disrupted by jamming systems. Weapons this is placed on benefit from a gun-shield to protect the more delicate parts of the system and minimize its exposure.

A sensory node is placed just below the weapon on the mount, allowing the operator to see a 60 degree cone from the weapon, with the crosshair, set in the center of the veiwscreen. Thermal and Night Vision optics are included allowing it to be used to fire at enemies behind walls or obstacles. The system allows the weapon to be swiveled on its skate mount and to turn the skate mount around on the hatch using the left and right joystick respectively. A firing trigger on the handheld remote system allows the weapon to be fired. Even if installed the system isn’t required to be used, and doesn’t interfere with normal manual operation.

It suffers from several weaknesses. Being a visual sensor node, it lacks the line of sight of a living being and the quick turning and adjustments of manual operation, making it ineffective against close range targets that are quick moving.
