There was more to this than the war.

Cedric was all too aware of what would come of this attack. Tensions with the rising Imperial-Bloc were greater than ever before, and they had elected to make the first move. The fires of conflict would spread across the starts, immolating anything they touched.

Even still, the coming conflict was irrelevant when compared to what was truly going on. Cedric felt it now profoundly enough to halt his tongue and steal his consciousness. For a few brief moments, he drifted upon the ethereal winds to an unknown destination. The image began to grow clearer as he drew close; he made out the silhouete of a humanoid figure, but further details were obscured by the miasma that was the battle's effect on the force.

Then came words spoken within Cedric's mind - words that were not his own.

Master Kortun.

Overwhelmed by the epiphany, Cedric imparted a feeling of affirmation and reassurance upon the Jedi Master before withdrawing from the Great Ocean.

The Jedi Knight found himself once again at the entrance of the cave, and to his surprise it seemed that no time has passed at all. He slipped into the conversation with such an ease that one might not notice he'd ever left. The confident smile with which he regarded [member="Norin Terrek"] and [member="Candez Stoon"] was a testament to that.

"I'm afraid the caves are where you'll be most needed," the Jedi Knight placed a hand on Candez's shoulder briefly as he turned toward their destination. "The imperials are a problem for the military, but there's something of greater importance below. Dagobah is a force nexus, one of the most powerful in the known galaxy. It's remained pure for thousands of years; I worry that the nexus is in danger. If it is lost, the planet will spiral out of balance. If it is corrupted...well, we'd better evacuate quickly if things get that bad."

The Jedi's footfalls echoed off of the cavern walls as he led the duo to his companion. "This is Mirax Eygan, my padawan learner. We have a few soldiers stationed nearby, but if the imps break through, the four of us will be the nexus' last line of defense."

He gestured toward one of the many paths leading deeper into the caves.

"We'll make our way to the heart of the nexus and fortify it as best we can. I'll fight at the front if they break through; this armor isn't just for show after all."

Cedric rumbled with quiet laughter as they strode toward Dagobah's heart. He exuded confidence, both in the force and in the physical realm, yet something yet unknown lingered at the edge of his thoughts. There was the war, the very real danger to the nexus, but then there was something else. Something that called to him from the planet's heart.

He hastened to answer.

He shook his head, just enough to move beneath the canvas cowl. He had no mind for war and in many cases, felt that it wasn't necessary. But even a child could see that Dagobah held little value and was a difficult thing to invade - given the nature of the planet being covered in the expanse of swamps and bogs and vicious creatures. Sticking another seed in his mouth, he chewed quietly as he lifted his finger to offer branch for a buzzing dagobunfly.

Wings fluttered as it swayed, put off balance by the small circles that his finger traced in the air. As it sat down, he brought it close and looked into its many eyes. "Giant machines, men in masks, people running. Whoever it is..." His lips narrowed as he blew softly against the hairs of the fly. Startled, it took to flight before heading skyward. "It will be unfortunate to meet under these circumstances. After all, our walk had only just begun."

Stepping towards a gnarltree, he grabbed the leaning staff and looked towards Trex and Elli. Idle hand dropped to the hatchet that clinked from a loose circlet, lingering near the sheathed blade given to him by his uncle. "Let's go then. Sooner this is sorted out, sooner we can get back to it."

It was clear now that he was disappointed. But war rarely made the sane or peaceful feel an air of pleasure - the whole day was tainted now.

Dagobah // Imperial Black Ops Unit Inferno Squad // Orbit above the planet/on route to the shipyards
Faction: The Galactic Empire // Enemy: Galactic Alliance

Being a special forces unit usually gave one the ability to have to develop their courses of action on the fly, a task that Inferno had become exceedingly gifted at during their operations for the Galactic Empire in its slow, yet orderly expansion. Yet there was also times you just had to sit there and wonder what the hell you were doing, or indeed about to do.

Now was one of those times.

The Ravager was now a flaming needle behind them as the Admiral moved the ship towards the Galactic Alliance craft that had fired upon the fleet, it’s small size and speed creating an easily capable attack and run scenario should the situation occur. However Inferno team were no longer aboard, the hold having been released and the four special forces agents along with it. The force of the rend in atmospheric release was enough to give them the momentum of speeding missiles towards the station, the jetpacks fitted to not increase speed, but more to control it and assure that none of the team disappeared in a cloud of debris, never to be seen again intact.

“Station coming up fast.” Gylon was obviously doing the maths in his head. Trajectory, speed and angles, the engineer origins in him starting to shine through yet again.

“Keep it moving.” Kayrce spoke through her own comm-unit. The onboard scrambler assuring that only she and her team truly understood the words. “Don’t release the speed yet.”

The station was indeed looming fast, the great construct of metal a reminder of a once fortuitous Galactic Alliance and the will of those who ran business to support it. Now like the government who held its space the station resembled a skeleton. Forgotten by those who cared and left to rot in the caretaker hands of a poorly trained and strange crew. “Commander?”

“Don’t release.” She was pushing it now she knew, the speed they were moving, while unmeasurable in space was fast enough to make the particles of surrounding space debris streak. “Five more seconds.”
“Commander!?”

“NOW!” She hit the release for the pack, flames shooting in the direction of the station and around allowing Kayrce to twist her form and fly, with the rest of the team imitating into one of the many service hangers that scattered across the station. The shield, sensing solidified movement allowing them through as it would any craft or worker, even if unlike them the team were now skidding fast across old metal floors unpolished and unkept. With another press the packs slowed their movement, yet the far bulkhead was moving in too fast, too quick…

“Frakk.” Gylon had said a second before they hit the wall with force. It wasn’t enough to damage, but the team had to take several moments to gather their surroundings and remove the packs. “Next time you say hard insertion can we at least not wait the extra five seconds.”

“What and get smoothed on the shield.” Pipped up Briana. “No thanks.”

“Silent.” Kayrce had her mission face on, the rest of the team being expected to as well. “Objective is a go. Lets move.” The team following their leader began to spread out, taking themselves into a seemingly empty corridor and the deeper innards of the station itself.

Desmond watched as the Alliance ships moved into position and redirected their fire towards his own fleet. He studied the tactical map before him studiously. Contemplating furiously what to do next. His hand gripped his chin tightly, if they did not take out that proton beam cannon soon it could easily mean the death of his entire flotilla. His hand moved from his chin and he placed both palms on the table.

Sweat beaded his brow as he failed to think of a viable solution. It was evident that the bombers had failed in destroying the superlaser as sensors detected it's shield recharging. He surmised that the vessels systems must have been hardened against EMP and radioactive explosives. As Desmond pondered what to do next Captain Fleming approached.

“Sir, four of the bomber craft have been destroyed by blind fire. Half are still operational and we believe have remained relatively undetected,” The Captain spoke feebly, he was reasonably worried the Intelligence Major would take his frustrations out on him.

But, the fear was unwarranted. Having four bombers was more than Desmond had expected. He had anticipated they would all be destroyed in the assault, but he knew the precise reason why these four bombers specifically remained. They were being piloted by the elite squadron Inferno One. Clones of Desmond himself. Chiss who had proven themselves worthy of the title “ace” countless times. Desmond could not help but let a small smile creep across his face.

“Order the remaining bombers to split into groups of two. Have them engage the Scythe-Class heavy cruisers. The radioactive rounds should wreak havoc upon them. I doubt their shields will hold up long when they drop the rest of their payload… Also deploy our fighters and have them engage the enemies own. We’ll want to buy the bombers enough time to destroy those ships,” Despite his smile, Desmond’s tone was ice cold and when he regarded the Captain there was a deranged glint in the Chiss’s eyes, like those of a feral animal trapped in a corner.

It was enough to send chills up the Captain's spine. He quickly raced off to do as he was ordered, eager to be anywhere but near the psychotic alien that was Major C’artyom. The orders were relayed and shortly afterwards thirty six TIE/LN MK. IV and twelve TIE/IN MK. IV’s equipped with Genie assault concussion missiles launched from the fleets various hangars. The fighters twin ion engines enabling them to quickly close the gap and attack the enemy fighters.

Desmond watched as the readout display became alive with a swarm of friendly signatures. As he considered what his best next move would be he noticed the Outer rim fleet disappear and then reappear directly behind Admiral Thrael’s fleet. Desmond had seen enough to know that the Admiral was in a bind, but Des was in no position to help. But what he did glean from the situation was a tactic that was not limited to the Alliance and her allies.

It was time for the one two punch. He was going to take a play straight out of the enemies own book. His smile took on a mischievous nature and he moved his hands towards the holographic ships. He pushed the four Imperial Sloops and the INV Crackerbox directly behind the Incandescent Truth. Desmond typed in a quick message for the ships commanders and shortly there afterwards the five ships made a micro jump directly behind the shipyards.

“Order all ships to return fire with available weapons systems! Have task force two begin opening fire on the Alliance super ship’s rear!” Desmond barked, his patience wearing thin.

He did not wish to die, but with the appearance of the super weapon it seemed the battle had turned drastically in the Alliance’s favor and the naval intelligence officer was powerless to do anything about it. As the ships waged war Desmond became lost in his own thoughts.
As part of Intelligence he had seen what happened to those who failed the Empire. He had even done his fair share of doling out the punishment against those who had come up short of Imperial expectations. Such horrors and tortures were not something that he intended to endure himself. If he lost here, there would be no return to the Empire for him…

It was a swamp and it was not the place to be for her she was the kinda girl that really liked her feet on solid ground so when Coren said they he didn't think they were playing the game anymore she felt that odd sense of calm come over her

Her serious side. Green eyes scanned from left to right looking for something to move that wasn't friendly. She loved games so it was a bit frustrating that this game had suddenly taken that turn.

There had not really been any communications, she tugged the sleeve of the guy next to her, "Double back check communications, relay to us if something is remiss." Dagobah so full of life for the moment all around them was silent.

The silence alone should tell them something had changed, she inched towards Coren, "Hey Flyboy something ain't right, listen...." Had he noticed the silence, how close were they to the other team. "I sent someone back to check comms." She looked at the group with her they seem to all be on edge, all noticing the same thing at the same time.

The rifle slung across her back waiting to be used if she could find high enough ground, and some targets. It would give her a workout for certain. If it didn't knock her on her butt first.

Alarms sounded, officers barked orders and the bridge began to dissolve into chaos. And yet, even as the bridge began to show it's signs of cracking under pressure, Rear Admiral Thrael remained silent. Eyes fixed on the battle around them, his eyes flicking from ship to ship as he recorded their present condition, he occasionally drew his attention to the men and women about the deck with an almost microscopic level of analysis. It was only as the Victory Four to their left flank came under pressure that the Chiss broke his focus to address the situation.

"ENEMIES APPROACHING OUR AFT!" Came the first shout amidst the chatter that was quietly consuming the bridge, the echo of the words ringing in the Chiss' ears before the next was bellowed out. "PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND TERTIARY VESSELS UNDER ASSAULT FROM ENEMY FIRE!"

Enough was enough, the Chiss thought to himself as he turned to face the vast majority of the crew, his focus lingering on the Captain and his unexpected break down from protocol. The man stiffened, his facial heat soaring at the realization that the Chiss' glowing eyes were fixed on him and then, unceremoniously, he was rendered silent. Almost as if on cue, given the captain's silent reprimand, the rest of the crew's mutterings came to an abrupt halt; leaving the bridge in complete and deafening silence.

"As you may have noticed, the enemy has assessed our vector, strategy and goal," the Chiss began, slowing his speech to accommodate to the intellectual perception of the less strategically inclined of his command personnel. It was then that he gave a curt nod to the aide standing near the elevator terminal. And, for but a few silent moments of his and his crew's time, the Chiss scanned his glowing eyes across the many faces now standing at attention on the bridge. "It is with this knowledge that they mean to flank and outmaneuver us, to crush our morale with inconceivable force and illicit an incongruous response."

The Praetor shook from the assault it had begun to receive from the arriving Alliance fleet, and, though the crew had acted on instinct to bring the shields back around to strength at the aft, their renewed fervor sharpened their focus. It was obvious that the Victory IV required a moment to calculate their systems as the enemy vessel came to loom over them. It was after a few minutes, once they'd sustained a moderate barrage of damage, that they turned their remaining weaponry and began to unload the extent of their sustained armament into the base of the vessel more than twice their size.

"Admiral, what would you have us do?" The Captain suddenly piped up, a crack in his voice and a minimal change in the heat of his face. It was apparent to the Chiss that he lacked an understanding of his intentions. His proper military training had been his crutch, but it was apparent that the standing secondary commanding officer lacked the vision to maintain his post. He had begun to speak again, opening his mouth partially, but was rendered silent once more as the Chiss gazed upon him with his glowing red eyes.

"The crew, lead by freshly acting captain Lorna Tivel," the Chiss began, noting the steady but shocked expression on the deposed captain's face. "Will be expected to bring our fleet about, with consideration for the enemy now engaged by Major C'artyom, and engage the fleet approaching our aft."

There was nothing more to be said. The Chiss eyes hardened, his displeasure showing through his steadfast disposition, and with a swivel of his body he turned to look back out upon the readings on the sensors. While they had been jammed, there was little to stop the sensors from picking up a signal deep into their peripheral diagram. Minutes later, as the Admiral's aide reappeared upon the bridge with a moderately sized lizard, the Praetor, right flanking Victory IV and the low stationed Sloops began to make deliver their retaliation.

The Victory IV closest to the enemy's captial ship began to resort to launching ion volleys, focusing the entirety of it's remaining weaponry at the belly of the beast. Following, kindly, in suit the opposite Victory IV and the Praetor brought every last one of their port weapons to bear; pausing only momentarily before unleashing a volley of half their quad heavy turbos, heavy ions, concussion missiles and proton torpedoes at the enemy fleet. Focusing heavily upon the capital ship already being hammered by the full arsenal of the Victory IV practical underside.

"Captain Tivel," the Chiss breathed, pausing for a moment for the new captain the approach and stand beside him. Her temperature was level, her eyes turned to him but with no immediate expectation visible in them and her posture read relaxed. It was impressive, he had observed her for some time but it hardly felt appropriate to raise her up without due accord. "Prepare one of our shuttles for a boarding party, tell the Dusk Claw that they know their duty and my expectations."

His breathing was even, but his eyes read with an intensity that noted his purpose behind the order. When the captain made the move to step away from him and towards the communications section of the bridge, the Chiss stopped her with an unexpected shift of his head as the Ysalmiri positioned itself comfortably upon his back.

"No, Captain, deliver the order from here. You will remain at my side for the duration of this operation, where the enemy will not denote your presence." The Chiss breathed, lifting a hand to stroke the head of the Ysalmiri before letting it fall back to the other poised at his back. The enemy had spooked Ransse, which was a shame in regards to a considerably proficient officer, but there was a demoralization in his behavior the others quickly siphoned fear from. I had considered the potential for the Alliance to be led by Force sensitives, but it would appear even his most minimal of sensitivity became a reasonable concern.

The Chiss thought to himself, furrowing his brow for a moment as he made his realization, before shifting his attention to the vessels now slowly coming into view.

"It is time we see the full extent of this Alliance's leaders capability, and force them to show us their full capability if they can no longer recognize the presence of their enemy's commander. Once we have mobilized the Dusk Claw Infantry we can begin the next phase of our operation." The captain's brows rose as the Chiss breathed his words, his posture unchanging as he continued to pore over the enemy fleet with in an almost linear fashion. She quickly waved over a deck hand, punched in the orders to the data pad in his hand and quickly ushered him off to the bowels of the ship and towards it's hangar.

The Dusk Claw were known for their viciousness, their vitality and their determination but it was their loyalty to the Rear Admiral that made her uneasy. Few, she understood, were so dedicated that they refused to question even his slightest whim. Perhaps it was time she learned from them.

The Indictor took it's damage, reevaluating shields and bringing itself towards the front and starboard of the Praetor and the battle continued.

They were far from check mate.

Detta marched softly through the swamp. It was by no means an attempt at stealth, he had been very shaken up by the transport down. It was hurried, they were trying to avoid being shot down by GA forces, so no attempts at making a comfortable trip down was made. So he was moving slowly, carefully placing his feet, trying to get rid of the feeling of nausea. It was not helping that the thought of Alliance soldiers hiding in the trees plagued not only him, but most of his unit. They knew the Alliance soldiers were doing exercises down here, who knows how well dug in they could be, or how unprepared. It was a gamble, but one Imperial authorities determined as worth while to take. Every soldier walked with at least a meter in between each other, in a scattered formation, trying to scout out any hidden Alliance soldiers. The fog and dark atmosphere making it hard to see anything.

The whole unit kept moving, everyone checking their sides almost every twenty seconds. They were trained shock troops, the finest of the Empire, Stormtroopers. But even they feared the threat of a hidden enemy. Detta could only wonder when the heavy equipment would come in, and burn the place to the ground, rooting out any Alliance resistance, maybe air support to level the swamp, whatever to get rid of this eerie feeling. Onwards they continued, for the Empire.

Her hearing was one thing that was enhanced due to her lack of vision, so the sounds of nature and battle merged for her. The wilds were closer than battle, but that was there too. The clash of arms was unmistakable and while distant could turn their direction any time.

Koda did not verbally respond to her words and instead took off with the use of his jet pack in the direction Jairdain had pointed. Letting out an, "ugh", noise, she started following him. Being able to use the Force came in handy and she used it to her advantage.

Their path before had been one through the muck and mud. His was easier than hers, but with the Force, she was able to use it to basically jump from tree to tree or root. Keeping herself out of the worst of the muck and still be able to see him through the Force.

Not sure if he was able to follow her progression, she would let him know she was still there.

"I said you can have my old ship. Don't you go taking one of the others. Knowing my karking luck, you'll take my new one."

A jetpack was surely faster than someone jumped from tree to tree, even if they were using the force. Yet still her voice was audible over the jungle sounds, raging combat and flaming jetpack. Though he didn't offer a response, there was no need for one. In truth he cared not for which ship he would eventually take, all that mattered was that it would fly. An X-Wing would do, even, though something that could last him until he could acquire a new one would be most favourable. He closed in on the Galactic Alliance's home base, and that's where it would be tricky. So many members of the Alliance on one confined location, each and everyone of them ready to capture the known enemy of the alliance the second he's spotted. Although the Mandalorian Empire would aid him today, if not for their arrival he definitely would not of been able to accidentally blend in with ease.

As Fett got close enough to the perimeter of the base, he angled himself so he flew closer to the ground, and then pulled up with the jetpack. Coming to a hover before ultimately cutting it off. His feet firmly planted within the mud, surveying what little he could. Jairdain would be here soon, he knew that much, so for now he waited.

With the comms acting up and he being unable to contact central command, Daxton reached out to all Blue Team members in his area by concentrating and using the Force to directly send a message to thier minds. “Team Blue. Communications are down and we are unable to establish contact to Central Command. Large Dark Side Presence felt, of unknown origin and signature. Assume hostile intent until we can establish more information. I will be scouting the source but keep on alert for possible hostiles in the area.”

Before moving he sent a private thought to Coren Starchaser. “Negative on that one. While I am quite familiar with the dark side signatures of our users, I do not recognize the source, so we have to assume for now it to be of hostile intent. I will be scouting it to find more information and sending it back so we can further assess the situation.”

Finally he sent a quick thought to Katrine Van-Derveld, “It seems we have a situation with an unknown dark side user. It could be one of the Alliance’s allies but to be safe let us assume it is hostile. I am leaving you in charge, while I scout the source. If its an ally, then we can assume the games are still on. If not, I will send a report back and I will trust you will get it to Central command. There are too many itchy triggers as it is best that a shadow take a look see before we make pur next move.”

Pausing to acknowledge their replies, Daxton really wished he could shake off the bad feeling he felt at the back of his spine. The Force was telling him something, what exactly he had to find out. In the meantime, no need to send everyone in panic just yet after all it could be a false alarm.

Strapping his sniper rifle across his back, Daxton summoned the Force, wrapping himself in tendrils of pure energy and slowly disappearing from sight as he engaged Force Invisibility. This would allow him to move completely undetected from naked eyesight as well as electronic scans. While engaged in this discipline, he would not be able to attack without breaking cover but stealth took presidence for this mission. Even a Force User using Force Sight would have a hard time detecting him as more than a faint shadow unless he decided to strike or use another discipline which required great mental concentration.

Only a slight breeze indicated his passage as he slowly moved though the dense swamp to get a closer look at what was the source of the strong Dark Side emission he had felt.

He was indeed faster than she was and while he had scouted the territory in front of him, it gave Jairdain the time to catch up. This was enemy territory for him and in a way, she was sort of betraying the Alliance in her aid. But it appeared to her that he genuinely just wanted off Dagobah. To be fair, that's what she wanted too.

Correct in his assumption, it was less than five minutes later before a slightly unkempt Jairdain found and joined him. Pushing her hair back, she looked at him with a slightly dirty look. It didn't hold any malice though or any anger. He simply had a better way to get around. Taking a few breaths and brought her breathing under control again.

"I need one of those."

Now they were closer to her territory than his or even neutral ground where they had been before.

"You need a ship and I can give you my old one. However, getting you there might be difficult."

He had held her captive before...twice. First time she had escaped and the second he let her go. Along this line and idea came to her, but she wasn't sure if Koda would go for it.

"I could always capture you and be taking you in as a prisoner...I highly doubt it would be questioned..."

Fully expecting to be greeted with a laugh or scorn, Jairdain waited on his reply.

His head pivoted towards Jairdain as she came in landing, but the look she gave to him was quickly dismissed. His eyes continued to scan across the area ahead of him. The talk of getting to her old ship may be a bit too difficult was responded with a firm answer, "Get me to the closest one." His neck craning down towards his wrist, tapping several buttons before glancing back up. Life form scanners, motion sensors and so much more had all turned themselves on. The base was a bustling hive of activity, it wasn't as if he could be able to get off of this planet secretly with all the Alliance members around.

Then Jairdain offered the most ridiculous offer, Fett's eyes staring at her with an expression of disbelief, as if she ever expected him to go for it. Although at the same time the thought of it seemed to be his best location, so ultimately he reluctantly agreed, but with conditions of his own. "Try anything and you're as good as dead." Shifting his hands from his side to behind his back, crossing wrists as if he was wearing cuffs.

When he did speak, it was with the command to get him to the nearest ship. Giving him a rather flat look, she watched as he flipped something on his wrist. Jairdain knew what it did, but did not ask why he did it. It would have been a pointless question. Koda was one closed man, even if she knew everything about him up to their last meeting, he still kept his secrets.

Allowing him the time he needed to look out of the base with his helmet activated now, he would see how active it was. She didn't need his enhanced gadgets to do basically the same thing the Force did for her.

After she spoke her suggestion and waited on his answer, what she felt come off him was priceless. If she could have seen it on his face, it would have been more enjoyable. Sadly her lack of vision and his helmet blocked her from seeing it, however through the Force it was clear to her. Now, her suggestion did cause him to think and consider though. His objective was behind the guarded fence and gates. For once, there wasn't a clear way for him to accomplish his goal alone.

As if she could read his mind, Jairdain felt when he gave in and placed his hands behind his back as if wearing cuffs. The warning that if she tried anything, she was as good as dead didn't go unnoticed. At his moment of surrender and even before, she could have taken advantage of the situation and really taken him captive. It was her choice not to. Nodding in agreement, she would move to his side and take a hold of his arm if she allowed him.

"Need to make it look real. It would actually be better if I had your weapons, but I know better than to ask."

Other than the basics, she had no idea how to shoot a gun and barely held one in her time.

"C'mon, this way."

Taking the lead, she would attempt to guide and lead him out of the foliage around the base.

He looked over at the kid. Right, why was he on babysitting duty? Still, he had to listen to the mandate from the Grand Marshal. Force users were trained in the field. If they wanted to be in the field, he could help teach them what he knew about hunting down the Sith and murdering them. Though, for Coren, it was mostly asymmetrical work and it wasn’t always the easiest to train. He still looked back at the kid. "Alright then." [member="Shoma Ike"]

Thirteen. Well, he had to learn somehow, right?

Shaking his head, he was getting his mind clear about the Force thing. “Yeah, we need to get someone back there…” He nodded to @Rehka Kaarde, the woman had always been his right hand. “Good call. Gonna need you to keep an eye out for me. Somethin’ ain’t right.” He nodded, and looked at Shoma. “Kid, you ready?” [member="Rekha Kaarde"]

That was when the commlink came back to him. Bane was denying it was his folks. Coren took a deep breath and reached out. There was a calm that came to Coren and he was trying to see if Bane was skylarking him. He didn’t suspect it. Good, he needed some good news here. “We got a call from the force well. Seems that people may be heading there…” He shook his head. [member="Daxton Bane"]

He changed comm channels and got on to Cedric. “Grayson, Starchaser. On way to your location. Can group up with you, unless you’ve got somewhere you’d rather us be?” [member="Cedric Grayson"]

Fett didn't enjoy this situation one bit, the thought of being entirely susceptible betrayal was new for such an amount of trust had never been placed within anyone before this moment. Every fibre of his being despised it, but what other choice did he have? The only thing he could do was walk once she placed her hand on his arm. Marching forwards like some prisoner, like a bounty he would capture. It was pathetic, but it was smart. Cunning and deceit surpassed a need for violence. Koda offered no words, only actions, and that was a prisoners march. His trust lied in Jairdain; a hope that she would guide him to the nearest vessel as soon as she could.

I recall the way she smelled. In the walled city, it was like a grove of flowers that cut through the chit and piss and everything else that was piled up around us. Three feet this way, three feet that way, look up and look down...that was our home. Love was about the only thing that could fit.

As a nameless thousand, I cut through the fog with ease and speed. Of course, we don't refer to ourselves as the Thousand. We don't refer to each other at all. Faceless, nameless and aimless, we are the force that brings chaos and balance. The way the universe works, it would be our namesake if we cared to take one.

I don't like the taste of D-Grade or Fire, but it's what we consume. These substances are my only friends, they help me to forget the ghost of her face. The way she smiled when the sun peaked through the obsidian and dirty class. We had a window for our home, such a commodity in such a confined space. The beginning of the end when surrounded by the selfish and needy.

Another of my clan cut through the fog and I followed, feet moving of their own volition, as I traced the wake of his green and glowing eyes. The great metal beast lumbers forward and I long for it to grow a neck, turn towards me with eyes of red, and end this numbness. But purpose is my purpose now, jumping when told to jump. Removing the blaster rifle from my shoulder, I load an anti-tank grenade into the attachment. It makes a pleasurable noise as it prepares for fire and I take aim quickly, waiting for my clans men to move near. I squeeze the trigger as everything turns red.

Oh FIRE, how I missed you.

Loray stepped out from the thicket of gnarltree and tangled foliage. The baton arced beams of blue, dancing and twirling before striking and scorching the ground. The lightsaber resistant cloak hung loose in the stagnate wind as his visor cut on, following the movement of the thousand. They were preparing for attack against the Juggernaut with no real direction beyond destruction.

He envied that simplicity, clinging to the moment as they did.

We'll cross that bridge after we burn it down.

He imagined these invaders as stepping stone. Another cobble in the long river, something to step on as he moved forward. Calling the force to his body, in tandem with CERS, he moved like an electron on direct path. And coming to the sight line of this Juggernaut, he stood quietly in hopes that he could draw its fire.

Removing a CQSC from the gunbelt, he lifted the spike in the direction of the Juggernaut and brandished the charge as if it was a blade made for taunting.

"Come on..." He whispered beneath his breath. "Shoot me." And reeling back, he flung the charge in the direction of the walkers wheels.

By the looks of it, that bridge’s gonna be a smoldering wreck real soon.

Whoever was manning the scanners wasn’t paying a lot of attention. Whoever was manning the guns, even less. Or maybe they’d mistaken the shambling of the Thousand for some kind of shaggy local wildlife? Who knew.

While Loray threatened to kark up the Juggernaut’s wheeled drive, Aver took up a different approach – she’d always been the blunter of the two, one supposes. Hammer, scalpel, disruptor… same difference, really.

The merc found a nice spot next to a knobbly root, steady against the mossy bark as she took aim.

Her target was the engine of the rumbling transport. It was the main heatspot of the tank, burning bright next to the smaller specks of the soldiers stuffed inside like sardines in a can.

Oh, but she did love fried fish.

The SDChttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/88801-vt-sdc-13/ was charged and rearin’ to go – only thing left was to squeeze the trigger. With the Juggernaut’s engine right in her crosshairs, Aver sent the searing beam of the disruptor careening towards its mark.

Wellenn laid quietly, regulating his breathing to ensure he wouldn't stumble around when the time came to fire. He didn't dare move his head, but he looked at his two comrades lying near him in the ditch out of the corners of his eyes. They were nervous, very nervous. They feared what came next, none of them had been bathed in the fire of battle, none had been baptized in all of its chaos. What Wellenn would do to be in their position. He did not fear what would come next, he didn't fear the enemy, a condition of his upbringing as a Mandalorian. An upbringing he actively sought to hide. No, Wellenn was not from Fondor as his official report declared, he was a natural born man of Mandalore. In an attempt of rebellion against his family, he ran off to the Galactic Alliance, another nation, to enlist and protect them. The ultimate dishonor to his family, the Verds. If only he had never been born a Verd, then would he be happy. Wellenn took a deep breath, trying to return his mindset to the battle ahead. Even if he had received all the training a Mandalorian would have throughout his childhood, he still needed to focus on the battle if he was to survive.

The sounds of the flora of Dagobah began to be accompanied by that of footsteps, comms, and hushed voices. Soon, the outlines of the enemy came into view. Although the fog and dark atmosphere of Dagobah restricted their view, they were an unmistakable sight. Stormtroopers. So it was the Imperials who were invading, a useless piece of information to the then and now. Wellenn stiffened up as they drew closer, not noticing the Alliance soldiers around them. They moved closer and closer, while C Platoon waited on the order form their Liuetenant, almost losing hope it would ever come. But as the bucket heads neared a few meters of Wellenn and his comrades, a flare went up, bringing an impressive amount of light to show the Alliance soldiers and Stormtroopers.

The Alliance soldiers took advantage of the initial confusion, foregoing any order from their LT. If they didn't fire now, the Stormtroopers would massacre them, so they did it in return for the enemy. Red lit up the fog in the swamp, as stormtroopers were mowed down by the initial Alliance barrage of blaster bolts. The front liners were damned to die, most of them being shot immediately, while those behind them quickly took to cover. Now a fair firefight begun. Stormtroopers advanced slowly, taking advantage of cover and the fog, as Alliance soldiers tried to engulf them in laser fire. In the distance Wellenn could hear a rotary cannon being fired, but he had no time to look. He was too busy firing his own rifle, trying to stop the advance of Imperials as fast as he could. But once their element of surprise had been lost, the enemy losses quickly declined.

- BATTLE MEDITATION ACTIVATED -

"Chiloon squadrons, go after the missiles!"

"Roger, Alchemist Actual"

For someone like Julie, and Janick even more so, having craft equipped with Guernicas was wonderful: the ordnance could be fitted in a pre-assembled ordnance package, which can be loaded onto the bomb bays in seconds. Which made the seven squadrons' trip to the hangar bays relatively painless, even as Julie prepared the ship for a possible boarding attack. Unsurprisingly, it was dangerous, given the fire directed at its underside from a variety of sources, but the Alakaha squadrons needed to be rearmed, and with heavy proton bombs, of which two can be loaded at any one time. Of course, with battle meditation having started to kick in, feelings of dread began to be felt by Imperials in the orbital theater, but there was only so much sensor jamming or battle meditation could do, given the formation and sheer size of ships. Due to the special cap drains fitted on the Compellor, the battlecruiser was mostly able to weather the ion fire with limited damage, and a few stray shots began to hit the escorts; unfazed, the four Chiloon squadrons began to screen the area for enemy ordnance, including but not limited to, concussion missiles, supported by the somewhat limited underside point-defense, while marines began to prepare against a boarding attempt, with glop grenade launchers and machineguns being readied at key choke points and around key locations onboard. Once the seven squadrons finally made it inside the hangar for rearming...

"This is far from over. We might have slipped past the enemy rearguard, but we are to engage the main enemy body. Heavy bombs, stat!"

"Roger, roger" the ordnance handler acknowledged, while the Hyena-Xs took off from the hangar bay for a bombing run.

Because they were still aft from the main targets of interest's perspectives, the first thirty Hyena-Xs could be bombing the first Victory with limited interference and then pull up, out of point-defense range, and then drop these humongous bombs, whose blast radius was large enough to engulf a significant portion of the enemy heavy cruiser. A staggering four hundred meters, with maximum damage concentrated in the innermost 50 meters from the impact point or so. So the port Victory would have the more unpleasant surprise of having thirty such bombs dropped all across the wedge, with the bulk of the bombs being dropped on the superstructure and command tower. As for the remaining seventy Hyena bombers, they were able to drop seventy more such bombs on the aft half of the enemy battlecruiser, using very similar maneuvers, and focusing on dropping the ordnance through existing holes in the hull whenever possible in both cases. Should any of those bombers take hits, they are programmed to just enter a collision course for the nearest enemy capital ship and detonate the bombs upon collision - provided there is still ordnance left; if there is no ordnance left, they are to return to base. Speaking of ordnance, the Finalizer point-defense missile banks also opened fire on the sloops, to the tune of ten apiece, and the remaining five fired at other missiles.

"Ordnance loaded, good to go"

"Roger, roger"

Also, while the seven Alakaha squadrons had their heavy bombs loaded, using refresh droids and whatnot, the rest of the fleet's capital batteries are still hard at work: with a few changes, more or less the same weapons were fired at the same targets as was the case last time, which edged even closer, so Julie and the gunners thought it was good to keep up the pressure, firing a poodoo-load of heavy turbolasers, solar ionization cannons, ion torpedoes, hypervelocity cannons, and of course, stealth MIRVs, all sixteen of them, were fired at the Indictor, splitting up into a total of 102 concussion missiles when the volley arrived within point-blank range of the enemy EWAR ship, largely undetected thus far. In addition, both C-9980s fired all batteries at the EWAR ship, considering just how crucial it was to the ORC's battle planning, and with it, to Julie, Janick and the other brave ORC personnel deployed in space. With the prospect of killing the port Victory, the port trench batteries of the largest two capital ships unloaded their firepower onto it, with hundreds of turbolasers lobbed at each Victory, even though the starboard one was much further away. The only real change was that the two escort frigates, rather than firing at the Indictor, opened fire at sloops instead, with a total of 72 turbolasers fired at each of them. But now that the battlefield conditions have changed, they were ready to pick a target but rearming took so long they couldn't join in bombing runs against either capital ship just yet. Maybe on the next pass; then again, we're on our own since Sanya and Aedan are still too far away from us to be of any real help, Janick thought, while she is back into the vastness of space, ready to prey on any Imperial missile that may stray too close, and as such, opened fire on one such missile that was flying dangerously close to the mothership.

Meanwhile,

While battle begun to kick off in its earnest above and on the surface of Dagobah, HK was sat silently inside the cockpit of a LISF-1 starfighter. Currently he was clad in his usual disguise of bandages wrapped around his body underneath a layer of heavy concealing robes and a black cloak descending down from his shoulders, crunched up currently in the seat as he was hugged snuggly into it with his seat belts. Underneath he wore his usual organic armor and throughout the disguise there was his usual rather large collection of gadgets and weaponry, two revolvers loaded with neuranium pellets, a selection of melee weapons, and Anti-Force User grenades saved from his Protectorate days.

Once the machine made sure that his collection of weapons was assembled and he was all ready for combat he didn't actually had much left to do, all he could do is keep a tap on the various communication transmissions and data streams to have some kind of idea what the battlefield is going to look like once he finally does jump in and just look ahead, staring into the flashing colorful tunnel of hyperspace. So that was all he did, just sitting there, looking ahead into the hyperspace and sitting there, letting his mind wander through the HoloNet and calculate different scenarios and simulations he could get into.

The droid brought with himself a little [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] bubble-head, which was now sitting on one of the consoles of his starfighter. Reaching over to it he tapped its head and watched it wobble around for a bit.
