The Taste of Salt in the Air [CIS Dominion of Dressel]

Serian Loria

In the shadows, at the fringe
With most of the wet gone he stood up, it looked like someone had set up a netball area, he pulled on his shirt leaving it unbuttoned. He strode over and gave Isley a nod “Mind if I join?” He eyed the fat old man giving the challenge with distaste, he then smirked at the Mandalorian “Lets grind the obnoxious fool into the dust.

He also made a note to watch out for and to avoid whatever movie the idiot was talking about. He gazed at the old man with all the insolence of one raised on an Imperial world could give. His lit ruby gaze glittering like flawless gems in the sunlight, he took up a spot at the back. The position gave him a good perspective to see where the ball might head.

The smile on her face became wider as he mentioned that he had more than this day to spend with her. A family vacation sounded wonderful and she was sure her deputy viceroy could more than handle things on his own. She was sure that he would like for once to have some power. Hopefully it wouldn't go to his head. "That sounds wonderful, we do deserve a family vacation. After all we do we should take some time out for ourselves to relax and have some fun." She smiled, kissing him once again on the lips as she snuggled up closer to him. "We should go swimming or something. Laying here is nice too."

Strask stood silently on the beach, overlooking the sea. It was beautiful. So beautiful. Something the man rarely took the time to see. He should take more breaks like this. Maybe on "Spynet Busness." He smiled, but it faded as he glanced around. Calico was certainly right about one thing: there were couples EVERYWHERE. Sighing to himself, he walked over to the Net-ball game, looked over @[member="Norge Rucras"]. It took all the Bothan could muster to keep from falling into the sand laughing. His smile, however, he couldn't hide. He wanted to play? Well then, this would be entertaining. Sitting in the sand, he looked over the scene. The simple way that @[member="Isley Verd"] was acting brought up memories, but he pushed them down. She would be remembered another day. Tomorrow, perhaps. Tomorrow. For now he watched, smiling to himself at the sound of the sea, and the limitless entertainment provided by his colleagues.

"I'm game." Alliera said, having long ago run out of Corellian Ale and looking for some fun "Prepare to loose Butterball." Alliera walked over to the same side as Isley Verd and Pheobe, and smirking predatorially. "Is'Ika, I hope you don't mind." Alliera said, smirking "After my week, I need this..." Alliera was loosening up, the Ale making it easier to put Nar Haaska behind her and to put this old fart in his place.

@[member="Hayato"]
"Oh, Nice to meet you." Alliera said, seeing the new person for the first time "My name is Alliera Nakamura." As she said this, Alliera offered her had for a hand shake.

He stood there for a second, with the Net-Ball in hand, until he heard a voice calling everyone for a game of Net-Ball. It was Isley's voice and he soon called for Hayato to toss him the ball. Hayato did exactly that, tossing the ball, though not purely with his throwing skills, though assisted with the Force, since he was a terrible shot. He soon moved closer to the others, seeing as how he had never played Net-Ball and wanted to try it out. While moving closer to the others he encountered a woman called Alliera. He shook the hand she had offered and then introduced himself ''I'm Hayato, nice to meet you as well.'' He said with a friendly smile on his face. It was nice making new friends. He then moved over to the Net-Ball field, expecting the others to follow soon. What a good thing he didn't have his usual attire on, but something more classy, something that fit the occasion, or otherwise he would have ran the risk of stabbing someone with his shoulder guard.

Oddball

This is what happens when you tap the glass
Sitting in his desk oddball out his chin into the palm of his hand. Slowly with his free hand he tapped each of his five fingers in a row against its hard surface. It was safe to say he was quite bored in the current situation that he was in. "I swear one of these days I'm gonna fly one of these things straight into the ground. Then we'll see who gets fire watch." as he sat there on the mic he awaited any response or need from people on the ground. After all it was a dangerous galaxy and you never knew when a clan of roaming ninja werewolf pirate assassins would show up to crash a party. So he would be the hero of the day of the day if such an event were to unfold before them.

Ven perked both eyebrows this time; was Commander Calico playing match maker? This should be interesting. She gave him this, “Really? You’re asking me for help?” look when he winked at her. She’d had just as bad luck with relationships as he had, she was sure of that. Well, when she thought about it, bad luck wasn’t how she would put it. She didn’t want a relationship, so any experience she had with relationships past friends and family was nonexistent.

“Why’re you looking at me?” She wiggles the end of her nose, “You implying I act like a woman?” she pretended to act offended and placed her right hand over her heart as if it were hurting, “You insult me, Commander.” She tried so hard to not smile, but slowly the edges of her lips began to twitch and she could help but smile; she wasn’t a good liar or actor half the time when it came to being in the same general area people she felt comfortable with.

“I would say.. Don’t be fake? Be yourself? I don’t know. I don’t have many girl friends.. I have exactly two.” she raised one hand and showed off her first two fingers to count off her only two female friends.

He popped a piece of fruit into his mouth as she playfully pulled him toward the water. His brown eyes weresmiling as she moved along the sand his hand in hers. The sand was hot on his big feet and the sun was warm on his already brown skin.

He laughed as they reached the water and he felt the cold slapping waves against his skin. He smiled at her as his mind went through the many things he had spent the days since the Hutt party thinking of. He wanted to be hers forever but he didn't really think he needed words for that. Maybe he should just let his actions speak for themselves.

He through his arms around her and lifted her into b his arms. Then after another kiss he ran further into the water and dropped in with her.

"You're more than welcome to join in." said the Mandalorian in response to the crimson-eyed one's inquiry. He clasped the man on the shoulder and took a step into the Net Ball court, raising his hands above his head in a stretch. "Alright, well, we've gotta keep this match somewhat fair...So, @[member="Hayato"], you get to make friends with our director here and play on his team. You too @[member="Alliera Nakamura"]. @[member="Phoebe Verd"], myself, and @[member="Serian Loria"] will play against you; three v three." He motioned for his teammates to join him on the other side of the net before giving a rudimentary explanation of the game.

"Basically, don't let the ball touch the ground on your side of the net. You can't catch the ball, but can bump it, slap it, etc over the net. The goal is to get the ball to hit the ground on the other side of the net. Also, no Force Powers; otherwise we'll make craters in this world. Got it? @[member="Norge Rucras"], the first serve is yours mate."

Psh, Norge didn't need to hear the rules. Hell, he had reinvented the game with one of his most recent films, Smocky, a story about a young man down on his luck, that rose to fame working the Net-ball leagues. (And at times serviced his teammates) He knew this game inside, and out.

Letting our tubby hero give the first serve was a dangerous move indeed. He shook his hips as he walked into place, and narrowed his beady, hawk like eyes at Isley. That would be his victim. "Prepare to be titillated."

Norge jumped up two feet in the air--a surprising feat, threw his fabulous Nar-Nar ball into the air, and spiked it hard toward the Mandalorian. Norge had the power--and didn't play by the rules.

"That sounds like a plan to me. Now we just have to pick somewhere to go on vacation...and as far as swimming goes, how's about we try something a little bit different..." he said, giving her a gentle peck on the cheek before sitting up. "I know that the water's a touch calm at the moment, but I could make some waves for you. How's surfing sound?" Josiah then rose to his feet and turned, offering his hand so that he might help Sophia to her feet. Whilst he stood, he looked about, seeking the hut where the boards were kept. Something so simple and fun would be sure to put a smile on Sophia's face, Josiah was just certain of it. The thought caused the grin plastered on his face to just grow and grow with each passing moment. "What do you say sweetie?"

@[member="Sophia Walsh"]

Calico shrugged at Ven. He gave Zius a gentle shove to move along and flirtirate it up with woman. The Commander turned to face Ven, brow raised. "As far as I know, you're female. If not, then I really need to rework my priorities." He didn't mean much by it, but it was still said. And yes, sometimes. like right now, you act like a woman."

He leaned forward slightly, head cocked slightly to the right. A small smirk took place from the smile. He had no idea what he was doing. "But if you want to be a man, then I suppose I could play along." Calico took her by the forearm in a playful sort of way, held her arm up high, and spoke so everyone could here.

"Boys and girls, this is Ven. She doesn't have a last name because they are out of style. She works directly under me, and answers the FleetOps now. You can call her Specialist if you want." He tilted his head toward Ven, the most amused, Bull-Osik look on his face. "Congrats, you're officially in the CIS. Hate me now if you want."

That was stupid. That was impulsive. Why am I trying not to laugh?

Darth Naefas was a Sith. In appearance and name, and to be upon a beach was not something that he normally found himself doing. Or ever. But, there was a first time for everything, and garbed with simple black robes and the hood over his face, his armoured feet dug into the sand in a slow gait. He felt quite awkward all in all with the material he bore, though he'd rather not have his intentions misinterpreted solely for being a Sith Pureblood.

Eventually, the Pureblood found himself further away from his starting position, and he stood next to @[member="Token Waters"], and when he glanced to his side to look at the girl, he simply said, "greetings" and watched the rest of the Confederacy do their thing.

Ven blinks slowly, tilting her head, ‘Am I acting like a woman right now? I quite frankly have no idea, given there are only two females I know and I don’t spend time with them much…’ She blinked slowly, her eyes narrowing as she started to say, “What are you doing..?” When he raised her arm before her entire expression took on the “I’m going to kill you”/”Unamused” look.

The Falleen slowly turned her head to look at him, her face very blank and slightly annoyed, with a slightly angry glint in her eye, “Commander. If you don’t want a sandy boot up your backside, I suggest you start running.” She warned, partially joking, with a deep almost sadistically evil grin across her face. She had a sliver of seriousness. Mostly she just wanted to get back at him for making her completely public, which was not what she wanted. Part of her hoped she could humiliate him by either kicking his butt or something of the like. Whatever it takes she was planning on getting some sort of comical revenge on him for this.

Krest moved his way onto the beach, hands behind his head. He wore his normal Templar robes, clearly not looking to end up wet. He slid his way up beside @[member="Ven"], looking around to the others. "Yo." No other words were needed, so he shut his mouth, waiting for a response.

Positive or negative.

"Apologies, I'm not one for running. Cardio isn't my thing anymore." He huffed a quiet laugh, letting the Faleen's arm go. Now, people would know that she carried his authority, and she could do what he needed her to do in the field. He shifted a step away, in case Ven decided to make truth of her promise.

"Don't hurt me, I'm fragile. Very fragile." He began to speak more, but then there was Krest. His expression didn't change, Calico simply stared for a moment. Krest had proven himself before, but he had also led what happened on Nar Haaska. The Commander wanted to forgive him, like he had forgiven Maverick, but it was difficult. "Afternoon, son."

@[member="Ven"] @[member="Krest"]

Krest offered a two finger salute to @[member="Commander Calico CC-247"], his face expressionless. The differences were shown on Nar Haaska, and it wasn't something Krest was ready to let go of yet. He would at some point, that was for sure, but not at this moment. So he grunts a response to Calico, keeping @[member="Ven"] between the two. At least Ven was here, someone that would calm down an confrontation. Well, any that wasn't her own.

"Fragile? I find that hard to believe." Ven glanced at Krest, "Hey there." She crossed her arms over her chest, standing where she was, looking between the two men, shifting from one foot to the other uncomfortably. Her relationship with Krest was still so tense at the moment. She knew he was still annoyed with her; angry she wasn't sure of, but annoyed was a definite. She glanced off towards the water, taking a deep breath and decided to stay quiet so as to let the Commander and Krest speak.

Sindy was simply sitting back in the sand, under her typical beach umbrella, with her nose in a book - so to speak - on her tablet. It was delightfully warm, and after the party the other night, another sort-of party on the beach gave the wrong impression to the half-echani blonde from Cularin. It was still an enjoyable impression, but she was honestly wondering when the work was going to start. The Aerin girl was industrious, and too much downtime started to make her feel antsy... and she'd basically had downtime since Amfar.

The young engineer sat up, and curled her long, pale legs around, tucking her feet in near her bottom, which was covered in a lusciously deep red bikini bottom that jived quite well with the light-absorbing black bikini top that supported her breasts... altogether, keeping all the right places covered. Setting aside her reading for a minute, she picked up icy-cold bottle of water at her side, unscrewed the cap, and took a long, refreshing drink, swallowed, and recapped the bottle. Then, as if on a whim (an unusual act for her), she stood and ducked out from under the umbrella, and de-perched her sunglasses from atop her head, settling them delicately on the bridge of her nose.

Then, she went about scanning the gathered bodies, looking for Token... but not yet straying from the umbrella's side. As she looked, her mind began to turn, the memory of what had went on at that party still fresh, still burned into her consciousness. She felt conflicted. And beneath the mounds of denial, vaguely aroused at the thought, which made the soft, pink blush creep up her cheeks as she stood there, looking.

Bluejay had been cheerfully availing herself of the available food since she'd arrived. Dressed in a white t-shirt and khaki shorts, she got to her feet and made her way over to the game. "Mind if I join in? Or did I come too late?" She asked, grinning. Shock.
