The Taste of Salt in the Air [CIS Dominion of Dressel]

Aquapolis_suburb_beach_concept_by_agnidevi.jpg
Gri'Ghat Beach, Dressel

The Seidon Festival was an event celebrated annually by the native population of Dressel, epitomizing the values of family and friendship. During this momentous occassion, the people would flock to the beaches and engage in a day full of quality time, quality food, and quality fun. In light of the new, budding relationship between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Dressel, an invitation was extended for the CIS' members to join the leading family's celebration of the Seidon Festival. To this end, an entire, private beach had been set aside and light decorations erected. These consisted of "tiki torches" and a duo of structures build of palm trees and leaves. Underneath these structures were tables lined with a buffet of food and drink. A roaring bonfire was situated in the middle of the beach and children, both Confederates and Dresselians, ran about the shore and played in the water.

Truly, this was a continuation of a change in pace that the Confederacy of Independent Systems could happily get used to!

That Marek guy was really on to something. Token hoped she had thanked Sindy adequately enough, but maybe it was really the man in charge of the Techno Union she needed to thank. The Confederacy was bringing them to all sorts of fun places. She was wondering, partially, if this was a ploy. But really, she knew that the Confederacy had a hand in destroying and freeing her from the Sith. That was something good to remember.

Imagine if she had stayed in that group? She didn’t think that would have worked for her. But life here, that was simple. And she could get behind it. Well, for now. If there was combat, she was going to be hiding in the back of the group. It wasn’t that everyone in the Confederacy had to be a soldier. And Token sure wasn’t.

The trick with Token, she had to remember that there was Sindy to consider, despite how… erm…open about herself Token was. Still! Beach! And food! And Net ball? Net ball!

Finally, the preparations were over and the people could finally enjoy their day of celebrations and festivities. Hayato was with those who had helped set everything up, he thought it would be a sign of good will towards the leading family, here on Dressel, but now that everything's been done, he went back to his own small bit of sand, where he sat down and meditated, as best as he could since all of the music and other noises were pretty distracting. Just sitting there, meditating, letting the world around him sink in and concentrating on finding peace and quiet. That was all he was doing at the moment. He was a couple meters away from the main festivities, leaning against a small rock underneath a palm tree, to get his bit of peace and quiet. At the moment, he wasn't one for celebrations, though he might join the others later on.

Isabet Denko

Olaror shal ni, vod.
Another party. Isabet still had no idea why she subjected herself to things like this. Though she had a pretty good idea it was simply because Abel had asked her too. She had originally wore her beskar'gam, but after finding out where it was, she dashed the idea. Instead she wore a lace tunic which stopped short of her thighs. No shoes, of course, and a yellow polka dot bikini. She felt in every way uncomfortable, but she couldn't risk overheating in her beskar'gam. Or looking like a down right idiot. Instead she busied herself with making a drink, some vile concoction of strong spirits. Maybe it would help calm her down.

Sophia as Viceroy of a rather resort like planet enjoyed the beach very much. Clad in a little yellow bikini she ran to the shore line and promptly plopped down by the water allowing the water to rush upon her feet.

The beach to her was always a peaceful, calm place she could relax, have fun and just reflect on everything even during a party. She was very much looking forward to today's celebration and eating later with everyone else. She did honestly wish her love, @[member="Josiah Denko"] could be there but she understood that he couldn't. That wouldn't stop her from having fun and playing in the water.

A beach party, normally this'd be a thing that Alliera would have loved to take Alex too and have a GREAT Mother-Daughter time, but Alex had been growing increasingly distant. Normally, that would be a sorce of emotional turmoil, but being without Alex today suited Alliera just fine. Nar Haaska had been a disaster on almost all counts, and Alliera could still feel the wieght of the dead. Operations Alliera had been a part of had gone bad before, even after she had been opened to the force, but nothing this DEVESTATING. Even before the worst had happened, ALliera had felt guilty for not being able to help those trapt by the explosions, but with the Operation being blown and Marshal Law... Needless to say Alliera was only really wearing a Bikini because showing up in her Beskar would probobly be rude and impracticle. Alliera had a bottle of Corellian Ale at hand, and was slowly working it down, the screams of the dead still haunting her.

Oryuken walked out of the local beach house wearing nothing but a smile before he was sent back inside. He had forgotten the shorts that Isley had let him have. At least the beach wasn't full yet.

He went back in and put on his shorts and reemerged properly dressed for the event.

There were several Mandalorian tatoos on his brown skin from his time with the Mandos at a recent engagement on Adumar. The big one, Ordo, said it wouldn't hurt but he was a liar it seemed. He had his call sign and tatoos from clan Ordo and Garon on his chest and back. They had healed quickly and he could now show them in the sun with out fear of them fading.

He looked at the buffet and imediatly made his way over to begin eating. He was always hungry it seemed although now that the accelerated aging had been stopped it wasn't as bad.

His bare feet felt nice in the sand and although he didn't understand why he was there the sun was nice. He didn't like how the sand started to make him feel itchy but he did like the warmth.

Tattoo 1.

Phoebe sat on the beach in her red bikini playing in the sand trying to build a sand castle. Currently she just had three mounds and was sculpting one of them into the main building. It looked like nothing right now but was a work in progress.

Oh, the beach was a wonderful place. Norge Rucras had arrived shortly after everyone else. He strode out unto the rad sand in his black speedo. His gut hung out like river flowing over a damn. His beard was filled with sea-shells, and his glasses had been replaced by purple shades. Purple was the color of rich men.

"Good day, Confederacy pals." Norge rolled out a big blanket with his face imprinted on it, the words 'BALLIN embroidered just over his beard. The short man plopped down on the blanket, and stared out wistfully into the sea. "Now enough ba-donka-donks today...not enough ba-donka-donks....

Though the Enforcer would never publicly admit as much, this was the first time he had ever been to a beach. As such, he had made every effort to invite his spouse, Isabet, to share in the festival that saw him running around shirtless. Today, he wore a pair of black swim trunks and a pair of aviator-style shades. Having located his beautiful spouse, hiding from the sun underneath one of the two buffet structures, Abel made his way over and ensnared her in his arms. His lips met her cheek in a gentle kiss before he grinned. "You look beautiful today, Isa'ika." he began, releasing her, "Now let's go for a swim or something! Or we can start up a game of net ball!"

Having learned of the "operation" on Dressel, the Jedi known as Josiah Denko took a day off and made the trip. Garbed in a white T-Shirt and a pair of green swim trunks, he slowly crept up behind his fiancee' before placing a kiss upon her cheek. "Hello there sunshine!" he said, grinning ear to ear. Josiah then sat beside her and draped an arm over her shoulders, scooting himself closer. The waves washing over his feet reminded him of a place that he had not been in a long time: Morje. It was where his grandmother and her people resided, still untouched by the hands of the Galaxy at large. "Miss me sweetie?" he asked, chuckling lightly.

After assisting in getting the structures up and squared away, the Mandalorian known as Isley Verd began to truly enjoy the celebration that had been thrown to foster good relations between the Confederacy and Dressel. With a so-called net ball in hand, he strode along the sands and gave it a rudimentary toss...which then brought the ball on a collision course with @[member="Hayato"]'s head. "Head's up Hayato!" he called, unable to keep himself grom laughing aloud all the while. Deciding then was a good time for a tactical retreat, Isley joined his wife and sat down, looking at the sand castle she was working on. It was small, but coming along beautifully. "Now, what do I have to do to get you to play net ball with me?"

Calico wasn't particularly happy about coming out to the beach. It really wasn't his thing, so-to-speak. He wore a simply white shirt and jogging shorts as he kicked sand up with every step. The Commander wasn't the most graceful of creatures. He eyed over everyone--even the women, and almost instantly shot his gaze down to the sand. Looking was rude and...pervy.

He opted to fold his arms over his chest not far from the group, looking over his shoulder to make sure his pilot @[member="Ven"] had come out along too. He wouldn't be the only one to suffer. "Couples...couples, everywhere."

Norge pulled his purple-tastic shades down to his nose in order to get a good look at the lady action. Problem was, all the lady action was taken, and he was in his late seventies. "Know what goes wonderfully with Net Ball?" The stocky little man pushed himself up on his haunches. "Food. Where is the food?"

Norge stood up tall--well, as tall as he could stand, adjusted his super sexy speedo, and waddled on up to Isley. He wasn't even drunk yet! I'll play Net Ball. Used to roll that stuff back when I was making Blarg Trek. Picked me up some mighty fine ladies I did. I was a champion though, everyone loved me. They still love me, but for different reasons."

The old man set his hands on his hips, and stared with those beady, soulless eyes. "You and your butt-cape men against me. Four Vee One me bro. Four Vee One me."

@[member="Isley Verd"]

Leaning back she lightly kissed him on the cheek. Sophia couldn't express in words how happy she was to see her love. It had been so very long and she didn't think he would be here. "Yes, of course. You were able to sneak away?" She questioned as she turned herself to this time plan a kiss on his lips.

Sophia would never tell him she was a little jealous that his brother was bam married and here they were years later still engaged. She was very happy with him and loved him more than anything. She was just happy to have him in her life and most of all here today.

Spinning around she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the lips again wrapping her arms around him knocking them both down. "I missed you more than you could imagine. How long do I have you for?"

@[member="Josiah Denko"]

Ven wiggled the end of her nose and walked out of her shiip and onto the beach where her boots began to sink in the sand, "Gosh.. This is going to be difficult to walk." She hadn't changed into any sort of suit of kind because, honestly, why would she? It would take a lot of convincing to even get her to consider getting in a swim suit. She glanced around at all the people, eyes wide; there were a lot more people than she though, "Ooohoh.." She stood a few feet behind Calico, wondering if this was such a good idea for her.

Una wrapped her arms around Oryuken, pressing her face into his bare back. The sun was practically melting her already, but her outfit accommodated the hot weather. She had seen him shirtless once or twice before but in a social setting it was a lot more attention grabbing. She kissed his neck softly, before moving around him to inspect the arrangement of food. "Do you like the beach?" She turned her head to him, grinning as she pushed a sweet fruit past her lips. Her toes wiggled into the soft sand below. Una felt like she was at home, the beautiful scenery and perfect crystal blue sea felt comforting.

Serian Loria

In the shadows, at the fringe
After the debacle on Nar Kaaga he was in sore need of a chance to really relax and in a setting that was easier. When Abel let him know there was an invitation to go to a beach, he had surprised the man by jumping on the chance. It had been a while since he had gone to a beach, in fact he loved being beside the sea, the warmth of the sun. It was just what he needed, though it wouldn’t do more than put a bandaid on the wound he needed to heal.

He strode out onto the beach wearing dark green swimming shorts along with a short sleeved jade green button up shirt. He was barefoot and the shirt was unbuttoned, he had sunglasses protecting his eyes, slung over one arm was a beach towel and over his shoulder he carried a beach umbrella. He chose a spot and stabbed the unfurled umbrella into the sand, spread out the towel, took off his shirt and strode towards the water, he was soon taking a swim.

When a voice called his name, he didn't notice. He was already too deep in his meditation. His thoughts were full of calmness and peace. He had an aura of peace, calm and tranquility around him. It was great for his meditation. Then something hit him in the head. It hit him hard. That something bounced off and he was left lying in the sand. He looked like a man meditating ... only flipped to the side. He opened his eyes and rubbed his head. A couple meters from him he saw a Net-Ball. Did that one belong to someone? He stood up, wiped the sand away from his pants and walked over to the ball, picked it up and examined it. If that ball belonged to that someone would certainly have seen where the ball flew and they would probably call out for him to return the ball.

@PEOPLES, I HAS NO IDEAS WHO PEOPLES DOES WHATS NET BALLS, NO SENES MAKSINGS I AMS DOINGS.

It was hard not to laugh. Calico turned to face Ven, paying no heed to the other for a moment. He folded his arms over his chest, head cocked to the side. "Come on." He strode on up to the woman, looking slightly down on her as he tapped her on the shoulder. "You need to change. The combat suit is nice, but it doesn't mix with beaches. Hell, I changed." He motioned toward the shirt and his shorts. It wasn't over-the-top, but it was less than what she was in.

"Don't make me do it alone. You signed up for this, after all." He cracked an amused little grin.
