POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Medical Bay [Floor 30]: Partying hard can often result in some serious injuries, whether they be the ingestion of potentially toxic substances or falling down the grand staircase of the Casino del Elstrela after too much to drink. The Medical Bay, located at the top of the ship, is fully equipped to deal with any and all of these ailments and is attended by a staff of highly-sophisticated droid medics and the most modern medical technology the galaxy has to offer.
  • Starracer Track [Floor 29]: A race track course, drag racing area, and service center make up the Starracer Track, fully capable to fulfill any hotrod's wildest desires. A large racetrack runs around the edges of the floor, navigating nearly the full length of the ship itself, while the center contains a more open drag-racing course for the freestylers onboard, as well as a service shop for those who brought their own speeders or for the unfortunate but inevitable crashes. Weather modulators can be activated to simulate nearly any kind of condition on both courses, and the edges of the race track contain sonic impact rebuffers, designed to reduce the momentum and damage that a crashed speeder could otherwise wreck on the internal components of the ship.
  • Nova Lagoon [Floors 27-28]: If you do not seek the thrills of Starracer Track or the riches of Casino del Estrela, then the swimming pools of the Nova Lagoon may provide entertainment of a more watery sort. Two floors of dedicated pool space, the Lagoon has much to offer; a large waterpark in the center of the pool, complete with zero-gravity water bubbles, slides, and sunchairs for swimmers to relax and dry off under artificial rays. Around the center pool are hot tubs and cold tubs, for species with abnormally high-temperature resistance or for those who simply have unusual tastes. Private relaxation pools and square, partitioned areas for lap swimming are also available, to suit every possible aquatic need.
  • Casino del Estrela [Floors 23-26]: Perhaps the prime attraction of the ship, the Casino del Estrela is a masterpiece with ornate architecture crafted out of the most luxurious metals known to the galaxy. Everything about the Casino speaks of riches and luxury, a thematic appearance for an area when one can win vast fortunes. Every sort of gambling machine and game board can be found in the Casino del Estrela, along with droid-operated bars and droid dealers on every level and in every corner. The massive grand staircase sits at the center of the Casino with access to all three levels of the Casino, forcing guests to use a grander but more physically taxing way to transverse levels than the turbolifts of the ship
  • Hangar Bay and Non-Essential Storage [Floors 21-22]: Right below the Casino and above the Luxury Suites, the Hangar Bays of the Stargazer are especially accommodating for anyone who wishes to visit the party ship -- providing they have the funds to afford it and the influence to do so. Three hangar bays line each side of the Stargazer, built to house enough space to prevent overcrowding or any traffic accidents. Non-essential, quick access storage is also located on the Hangar Bay level -- additional Sabaac cards, replacement pool towels, and dry sheets being examples -- to quickly service the floors around it. The Grand Staircase also expands down through and past this level, allowing arriving guests to walk straight up to the Casino or down to the Luxury Suites.
  • Luxury Suites [Floors 10-20]: No party can last forever, and luckily the Stargazer features a rather comfortable remedy to that; a wide array of luxury suites, featuring ample space, soft mattresses, and a viewport to watch the stars as the yacht slowly cruises through space. The suites function much like any standard planetside hotel, and guests who wish to stay must reserve a room at the suite Lobby, located on Floor 20 where the Grand Staircase ends. All suites are extremely ornate and luxurious, but those with extra cash can purchase even fancier rooms to stay in.
  • The Lounge [Floors 8-9]: For those that need some relaxing time, the Lounge provides a more comfortable and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Armchairs made out of fine Chandrilan Leather are aplenty, and a wide array of parlour games and noise dampeners only add to the cozy atmosphere. Snacks are served here, cheeses and other fancy appetizers to quench appetites and an extensive hololibrary filled to the brim with books and datacrons is enough to trap any scholar or reader there for centuries.
  • Kandoshan HoloTheatre [Floor 7]: The Kandoshan HoloTheatre is stocked with every recent and old holomovie in cinema, with different individual theaters screening predetermined films at regular showtimes. Private theaters allow for the streaming of popular networks, and naturally, the HoloTheatre is equipped with a large collection of concessions. And the best part is, everything at the HolotTheatre is free of charge.
  • The Galley [Floors 4-6]: The ship's fine dining, exotic cuisine, and more familiar staples can all be found in the Galley. Exclusive restaurants operate here with lucrative contracts, preparing a wide assortment of cuisine at no expense for any eaters. Food from the galley can also be delivered to individual suites, allowing take-out even aboard a luxury starship.
  • StarGym [Floors 1-3]: Too much partying can be unhealthy for the body, and there are things that even a fully-equipped medical bay can't remedy. Besides, some people actually enjoy working out, and so the StarGym is able to feed any jock's wildest fantasy. An expansive weight room, circular track, running course that traverses all three levels allowing it to have artificial elevation change, and even a climbing wall that reaches all the way up to the top floor, anyone who wishes to burn off their partying will be able to do so here easily.
  • Detainment Cells [Floor 0]: Known as the 'time-out zone' informally, the detainment cells are usually used for over-drunk partygoers or other guests who were causing a disturbance. Despite that, the floor's security droids ensure that the detainment cells can be used to even hold criminals and other miscreants, provided that they find a way to get onboard in the first place.
  • Observation Ballroom [Bow]: Occupying the entire nose of the ship, the walls of the Ballroom facing outwards is one long, continuous sheet of reinforced Plexalloy, so dancers can enjoy the beauty of the stars around them. A live droid-operated orchestra is situated in a floating pod, with the acoustics of the ballroom designed for maximum sound quality and reverberation. The ballroom can also be used for a variety of purposes, from parties to ceremonies, and along with the Casino del Elestra is one of the prime features of the ship.
  • Storage [Stern]: Running a ship with the size and ambitions of the Stargazer, with its heavy resource consumption, requires a large amount of storage space to allow the ship to venture on long cruisers without making any calls to port. Luckily, the stern portion of the ship, also known as the tail section, is fully dedicated to storage and droid maintenance, with heavy blast doors to prevent unstable substance leakage and ensure only ship personnel can access the precious stores of the ship. The Stern also contains most of the internal mechanics, such as the reactor core and propulsion systems, of the Stargazer.
STRENGTHS
  • Party Bus: The Stargazer is filled to the absolute brim with amenities and attractions, designed to fulfill any possible need of one cruising in space. Truly a 'Luxury Yacht,' the Stargazer includes a HoloTheatre, Fine Dining, Lounge, Luxury Suites, Ballroom, Casino, Racetrack, Swimming Pool, and medical bay to attend to all of the ailments brought on by the former locations. The ship can also carry up to two thousand people aboard, with six total docking bays to allow for the replenishment of supplies or for visitors to dock their ships within the yacht.
  • Solar Cruisin': Massive solar sails allow for the yacht to cruiser along at a very low expenditure rate of fuel, allowing for long and uninterrupted cruises.
WEAKNESSES
  • Luxury, not Combat: The Stargazer is a ship intended for luxury cruisers, pleasure rides, and casual transportation, not combat. Its defensive capabilities are mainly countermeasures in the event of a pirate attack, as the Stargazer's extravagant design and high-profile passengers make it an opportune target. Otherwise, however, the ship is not suitable for combat and houses no offensive technologies.
  • Raise the Mast: The process to extend and collect the solar sail safely takes around forty-three minutes, which can be rushed up to twenty-nine minutes with the chance of possible component damage. This slow unfolding and collecting time can leave the Stargazer vulnerable in certain situations. The solar sails of the yacht must be collected to travel in hyperspace, which also makes the sails at times inconvenient.
DESCRIPTION
If luxury was a ship, then it would be the Stargazer. Created on commission by Roble Manufacturing, the yacht takes luxury cruises and every other sort of high life to the next level. A wide range of attractions makes the Stargazer almost a walking city, with a capacity of over two-thousand individuals that is completed by an expansive droid staff and security detail. A wide array of different 'attractions' are featured on the Stargazer, separated into three different general 'areas.'

The first area of the ship, occupying the top floors, included attractions such as the Starracer Track, Nova Lagoon, and Casino del Estrela. The Starracer track is built to let speeder hotrods get their thrills in, with an impact-dampened racetrack (for safety), drag racing course, and fully-equipped service shop to handle broken-up speeders and personal vehicles. The Nova Lagoon offers a wide arrangement of aquatic entertainment, with pools, water attractions, hot tubs and exercise areas for those who enjoy working out in the water. The Casino del Estrela features three ornate levels of full-on gambling, from dice games to the ever-popular Sabaac. The wealthy interior of the Casino is emblematic of the entire ship as a whole, and the Casino is definitely a highlight of the Stargazer.

The second area, more designated to residential needs, features the ship's extensive Luxury Suites, Lounge, HoloTheatre, Galley, and Gym. The Luxury Suites allow for high-quality living in space, with room service and food delivered straight from the Galley. Ample space and exquisite furniture only serve to make the suites even more luxurious. The Lounge offers relaxation from all the partying of the Stargazer, with a vast library of novels and good reads, noise dampeners, and soft armchairs made out of fine Chandrilan leather. The Kandoshan HoloTheatre has virtually the entire galactic cinematic library in stock, with a schedule of screenings back-to-back. Its concession stands almost rival the vastness of its holomovie collection. The Galley features exotic, high-quality food prepared by trained and sophisticated chefs, both droid and organic, and dishes made with ingredients that would cost thousands of credits planetside; fortunately, all food and drink on the Stargazer is free for guests. Finally, the StarGym allows for partygoers to burn off the many calories that they acquire daily on the ship, with a wide range of exercise options of every caliber of every species.

Finally, the Ballroom acts as its own third area. Called the ballroom, the ornate section at the bow of teh ship can function as many things; an observation deck, party space, or ceremonial room for certain occasions. A live droid orchestra in a floating pod and exceptional acoustics make the ballroom impressive and pleasant, and romantic and grand scenes often occur as guests dance to the backdrop of stars. After all, it is in the namesake of the ship itself; the Stargazer.

Approved on the condition that I get to take this bad boy for a spin.

A sleek, high-class yacht for the refined. What it lacks in armament, it has in style, internal defenses, and a kick-ass hyperdrive. Beautifully written and seems like a great setting for a lot of roleplay.

Approved! Have fun!
