The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Break was ready. He detonated the bombs in time to cut the front lines off. Perhaps a little too close as the first few rows of soldiers that didnt make it out in time were crushed beneath the rubble. "Chances of success have climbed 20%" the HRD said to himself. Jumping into the fray from one of the surrounding buildings he landed in the center of the chaos. their lines had been disrupted and he could see the PRT droids making their way from the rear with minimal effort, the advantage of a surprise attack. Break proceeded to slaughter everything in his path with his new Sonic blaster, throwing troopers as if they were nothing. "second wave engage." the signal was made and the Slicer droids made their way over the wall and decimated what little resistance was left. His forces had only minimal casualties and were still in good condition
"32 PRT droids and full platoon of slicer droids..."

Break wiped what little blood he had on his hands off and looked to his prize. The transport ships. "Phase 2..." he sighed with relief "@[member="Arvis Syphex"] im on to you next. dont die yet ive got a way to go before i make it to the control center!"

After loading the troops into the into the transport he lifted off looking at what wreckage he left behind, as he did he heard a familiar voice of an old man ring in his head..."BREAK, ALL LIFE IS PRECIOUS, EVEN YOURS. COMPASSION IS THE KEY TO PEACE. REMEMBER THAT..." "NO! THAT ISNT THE TIME TO WORRY ABOUT THAT." he let his mind travel as the droids piloted to the next stop the control center.

Kaine glared at Diana as she threw off his shackles of telekinesis, and once again spoke of redemption to Kaine. It infuriated him at how persistent she was with that whole concept, and it disgusted him immensely. "You speak of the light... of redemption... I will show you the redemption of the grave, and the true meaning of the Force." He then took a knee as the Jedi activated a third lightsaber, and time seemed to slow down in Kaine's eyes as it began to leave her hand. Kaine extended his right hand outward before him, and from the tips of his fingers shimmered a light, which expanded around to in a bubble to create a barrier in the Force around him for at least a yard or more. The blade of the lightsaber connected with the shimmering stasis field and rebounded away from the Emperor, which was all that Kaine required before he dispelled the shield as Diana was upon him again.

She was tenacious and cunning, he had to give her that. She could have been one of the greatest Sith of this era should she have been turned at some point in her life, but that seemed impossible now. She was too far entrenched in the lies of the Jedi, and she had to be put down like the dog she was. Kaine activated both of his lightsabers and rose to meet the oncoming Diana, bringing his his right lightsaber up in a vertical hold to parry the blessed blade's slash. When the blades collided, Kaine twirled his body around to bring his other lightsaber down towards her right leg, right at her thigh.

(Rasu, Talen fired lightning at the Jedi as he lunged, can you please edit accordingly?)

The Sith snapped his jaws and then oddly enough made a deep purring noise as the Jedi yelled for the resistance fighters to stay behind the barrier, and then it spoke again, an sentient voice echoing across the room again like water. "Ohhh, how adorable. Trying to save your friends first?"

There was a sadistic flash in his eyes as he opened his mouth and through it once again sent a stronger jolt of electricity at Rasu before quickly shifting forms, turning into a slippery mass of oil before taking the form a Jedi that Rasu knew very well. Sochi Ru. There was no difference between him and her friend now besides the fact that the Assassin drew a black saber and flicked it to life. The blade sprang from the hilt with a moaning hiss. Its blade was a deep, blood red with a black glow around it as opposed to white.

"Can you fight them, however?" The shapeshifter grinned, though male, even his voice sounded exactly like Sochi's.

The Jidai was resourceful to say the least. If Arvis hadn't angled his body he would have probably died. Or be badly wounded. But instead his shield, absorbed most of the damaging effects of the explosion and the only thing that he had to protect himself against was the shockwave of the explosion.

Oh, that was horrible. But it could have no doubt been even worse. Thankfully, Arvis had the brains to wrap his arms around his head when he crashed into the floor, his robes smoking from what little heat had gotten through his force shield. There was smoke in between them now, he meant to be standing by that time.

It took him a few moments, but before the smoke cleared he was on his feet with the blaster of a fallen trooper in hand. It was his first time using one, a blaster that is. It was pointed to where he sensed the Jedi Padawan. Just in his general direction, the smoke was only just starting to dissipate into the air around them. He could see the light of the lightsabers from the Emperor and the Jedi Master dancing around, he heard the force scream and the power of the Force that followed it. He even heard the obscenities that came with it.

But then he focused on the task at hand, surviving and killing this Jidai. And he pulled the trigger to release a hail of red blaster bolts through the smoke in the general direction of the Padawan. He had of course rooted himself in the force so he wouldn't be taken off his feet from the recoil of the blaster. He had a feeling he was already done with it.

Saran was hurt, scarred, and felt like her whole being was on fire. She advanced on squad after squad, hoping to eliminate the constant fire. As the last one fell, she nearly collapsed, blaster scars covering her body, and hurting all over. Falling into a healing trance, she would awake when footsteps entered the room. Hopefully she would be able to heal enough to reach the others.

When the lightsaber bounced off of Kaine's barrier in the force Diana instinctively called to it with the force. The bone white curved hilt slapped into her hand with almost no noise and she curled her fingers around it, though she did not ignite the blade. Instead she allowed herself to coil with the momentum that Kaine stopping her strike had given her.

She moved like the ballerina that she had once been and twirled about, letting Tyrfing slide down the length of Kaine's lightsaber and moving her leg away from the slash of his lightsaber.

When she came back around Diana raised her leg high, the speed at which she moved once again becoming a blur. Her heel shot directly towards Kaine's face like a rocket, seeking to smash into his skull with enough force to break duracrete.

Command Center, Orbital Ring:
The attention of the guards outside were distracted by a humming noise that grew louder as it made it's way down the corridors. Flashes of green and yellow swung in various directions, Donatos squinted and gave an a 'cautionary' wave of his hand to his soldiers. The light show and blaster fire outside began to fade until a single guard was left, but impaled by a green humanoid. Donatos strode forward as the Sith solider corpse sloped off the woman's blade. His stride in dark armor and the flowing of his black cape was indeed reminiscent of a Sith Lord. From the corner of his eye, Donatos saw a mammal like creature stalking its way down the halls, barring its fangs and apparently had the ability to speak?

With good intentions, Donatos wanted to remove one of the disc panels, which would basically cut a corner out of the field making it triangular, enough room for her to roll in. She made her choice though and protecting the Command Center...was a higher priority than the single life of one Jedi. Donatos grimaced at the thought and that he accepted it. Many hard choices were called to his attention and many even for the greater good, brought no comfort to his heart or morality. If Donatos was well trained in the Force then maybe he could do something to help her, but most of his self teachings with the Force were based upon the use of water....here though all he could maybe manage is annoy the beast with constant Force pushes, shoving it against the wall.

"Azu-Cal?" One of the Mon Cal asked wearily, still targeting his rifle on the shield in case anything came through. "Hold..." Donatos commanded and deactivated the red saber. He attached it to his belt and like he did hours ago on the shores of Ursurrpa Island, he closed his eyes and knelt to the floor. He imagined the sea, the tides pushing and pulling onto the shore lines. He had heard of battle meditation, that a Force user could aid their forces in battle through deep meditation. Yet Donatos had not the time or experience to even attempt such a skill...instead he relied on instinct and in his mind came up with the notion to distract the beast. In his mind he projected the beach shores of the island to the creature.

Donatos was known to day dream often it was a fault he had even since early childhood, he now intended to turn his weakness into an advantage. A changeling? the animal morphed into a Togruta woman...Donatos would change his thought process much faster than the animal could change shapes. He projected memories he had of the Senate where he worked as an intern and aid to dignitaries. Colorful aliens wearing even more colorful costumes as they filibustered throughout the day.

Images of his grandfather and various mentors hes meant along the way, now vividly flashed in his mind. Mon Calamarians....Ithorian....Cerean....even a female Gamorean. Donatos focused all these thoughts and images directly to the shape shifter, distracting it even for a second could prove valuable to the Jedi to make a crucial strike.

Diana's knee connected with Kaine's chin with a deafening crack, the force of which sent his head careening back as Kaine felt the jaw cracking ever so slightly, a few of his molars coming loose. Even through the blow of Diana's knee, Kaine's hands were still moving, more specifically his left hand, which had deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt in one motion. Then he grabbed the blaster rifle he had strapped his his hip and angled it at Diana before pushing off of the ground with his feet. Just as he did he pulled down on the trigger, opening fire at Diana's midsection with a full automatic burst. Whether or not Kaine's shots had hit Diana, he would immediately begin to roll when he hit the ground, attempting to regain his orientation and end up in a crouching position when he righted himself.

Rasu had to quickly maneuver her blades again to catch a second bolt of lightning, surging from the Sith's mouth. Dropping to the ground she brought her blades up again to prepare a next strike, when she was suddenly caught unawares by the presence of her friend Sochi. Surely she was still in the other corridor battling the Hutt Sith. This was just another trick, she had to remember that this wasn't her friend standing in front of her, it was a follower of the dark side, her enemy. With that said, she lashed out again with her blades, however each attempt proved futile as the impostor caught her blades with it's own.

Leaping backwards to create some distance between the two opponents, Rasu caught sight of a red Mon Calamari through the purple energy barrier. The aquatic being was kneeling, eyes closed in deep concentration. Looking away she returned her focus to the Sith, still in the guise of her friend Sochi. Opening herself to the Force, she pushed outwards with her palms, sending a massive surge of Force energy soaring forward, encompassing the entire corridor. There's no way it can dodge that, she thought, before leaping forwards, hoping to end this before it consumed to much of her time, something she was running out of quickly. She brought her blades again down upon the Togruta impostor, hoping to sever it in half.

She tried to block as many of the shots as she could, igniting her lightsaber in their path. Three bolts however managed to fly through the lightsabers guard and strike Diana directly in her midsection. The force of the bolts struck home, hitting the Armorweave bodysuit she wore hard and partially signing her flesh all across her midsection. Though the Armorweave dispersed the blaster bolts most of their energy would still go through and hit Diana, it would feel like a hammer hit her over and over again.

Pain lanced through her once again and as her foot found the ground she let out a gasp of shock, drawing her left hand over to where she had been hit out of pure reaction, she had not expected that.

The ArmorWeave at her midsection crumbled slightly, peeling away and revealing patchy burned skin.

Her eyes however still managed to follow Kaine through the pain. She saw the man tuck and roll into his crouch. Though her unconscious mind screamed with pain and told her to cover herself she knew that she could not let up against the Sith Lord. As soon as she managed to orient herself Diana pushed out the hand that held Tyrfing. She sent a force push towards Kaine, and then bounded forward once more.

Pain wracked Diana's side and midsection as she dashed to Kaine, but the Jedi ignored it bringing down Tyrfing in a powerful stab.

With the smoke carrying itself away on the wind and the fights around them speeding the process, Sarge caught a faint hit of red through the drifting cloud of dirt and vaporized metal. But something in him was telling him having his saber up was a good thing, and sure enough as blaster bolts came flying out his hands began to move.

Moving the saber out of reflex, his sent the blaster bolts flying in all directions - he hadn't the control to send them back to their source. Still, despite his best efforts, he felt one or two impact the beskar on his chest and blow scorched holes through his robe.

With a grunt, he hefted the saber and flung it again, sending it spinning through the smoke at waist height - straight for the source of the blaster fire.

Then, he paused, sniffing faintly at the air as he tried to pin down the scent of the Sith. He couldn't, but he knew a general area. With a grunt of pain, the fighting claws embedded in his forearm extended through his gauntlet. Charging forward again, his saber leading the way, he went to find the Sith.

But as he got into the smoke, his mind told him a presence was up ahead; one that was using the Force for something. He was on the right track, and the moment he caught sight of the Sith, he moved to slice the claws across his chest - claws that extended like whips for nearly a meter in front of him.

The Sith twitched and cursed at Donatos as he set into that accursed trance, the Mon Calamari was doing something and it distracted him. He had to think for a moment of what form he was in and how not to suddenly swift forms. In his distracted state Rasu closed the distance and the Assassin barely managed to thwart her whirlwind of blades with a few despite and lucky parries of his own.

She lept back and before the Sith could go on the offensive he was sent flying backwards by a powerful surge of the force sent from the Jedi Knight. He opened himself up to the Force in that moment and managed to catch himself and drop into a roll on the ground, it wasn't graceful, but it was effective. However, he looked up with wide eyes to see the Padawan baring down on him. With a loud hiss he threw his hand forward and made his own push, weaker than the Knight's, but hopefully enough to throw one human-sized target back or against the celing above since she was mid-air. His strengths and weaknesses were already apparent however. He was strong in the Force, exceptionally so, but he lacked refinement and skill with a blade.
(Fair Enough, Rasu, I apologize for the miscommunication.)

Just as Kaine righted himself, he was struck by a push of telekinetic Force from the injured Diana, and he was flung back a good yard or so he he slowed himself. He hacked up a mixture of blood and destroyed tooth onto the ground before him right as his senses warned him of immediate danger, and he looked up to see Diana coming right on him again. She raised the accursed blessed blade Tyrfing up and then brought it down towards Kaine in the form of a powerful stab to try and skewer him, but before she could bring it down all of the way Kaine reached out with his now weaponless right hand. Kaine was confident that the power of the Gauntlet could counter and overpower the strength of Tyrfing, and bring forth victory for the Emperor and destroy this wretched Jedi.

He was wrong.

Blade and gauntlet collided in a fantastic display of sparks and conflicting powers, and for a moment it did seem that the gauntlet would hold up against Tyrfing. Then the Gauntlet groaned a horrible groan, and the metal making up the majority of the gauntlet shattered. Kaine looked on in disbelief as the Gauntlet shattered before his very eyes, and the only words he could bring himself to say was, "Impossible..." Then the Gauntlet erupted in a fantastic explosion of darkness and pure power, enveloping both Kaine and Diana in the blast zone before flinging them away from the epicenter in opposite directions. The blast continued to grow strength in power before erupting again in a final explosion that shook the courtyard around them, and would most likely affect everyone present. In the blackness of the explosion emerged forth the enraged face of a demon in mid-death, a horrible mutated aberration of Darth Moridin himself twisted by darkness and chaos that professed his explosive rage before disappearing with the rest of the blast.

Kaine had been tossed all the way into the Command Center, crashing through one of the durasteel walls before slamming against the next wall, which luckily slowed his momentum and allowed him to stop. There was a profound ringing in Kaine's ears, but an even more horrible look of shock and disbelief on his face as he held up his right hand, now charred completely black from the explosion that was birthed from the destruction of the Sith Gauntlet. The rest of his body was relatively okay, although the force of being blown backwards through a steel wall did leave quite a few gashes and bruises on his body, but he wasn't critically injured. He steadily rose to his feet and called the lightsaber his clipped to his belt to his left hand, and warily approached the blast zone and ignited his saber. He didn't know where Diana went during the explosion, but he wasn't about to be ambushed after surviving it.

He saw his incapacitated amphistaff to the side where he had dropped it earlier in the battle. He even sensed the Jedi was getting closer to him. He would have to finish off the Jedi now, if he and Kaine were going to continue defending Dac.

He force guided the blaster that he had just dropped past the lightsaber that he had thrown at him to try and force it to hit the Jedi in the chest. Though he didn't stay in his position long enough to find out, since the Jedi had claws protruding from his gauntlets that were almost as long as his amphistaff! He had come to the battle as a war machine, and Arvis had only come with his amphistaff and the Force. It would have to do apparently.

Forming another force shield in front of him with his free hand, he sent another force push at the lightsaber to send it off course. Or perhaps just back to it's owner, straight to his leg! Again, he didn't wait to find out when he stepped backwards away from the swinging claws, and with his legs imbued with the Force stepped into his personal space of the padawan. Because of this, it was most probable that the padawan would be unable to strike at him with the claws on his gauntlets. Arvis lifted up his leg only to kick him with the flat of his foot. The foot was imbued with the Force and Arvis had apparently transferred that power through his leg and out his feet, in an attempt to push him away. It was practically a force push from his foot, some would say it was a force kick.

Her face turned up to look at the girl and a smirk played on it as Saki's vision narrowed into an almost tunnel vision as she saw her saber and was smirking. The enjoyment for the fight building as her muscles bulked up a little. The force enhancing her strength and she clenched her fists. The knuckles going white as the fingers popped letting a little protest of strain come before she was off. A heartbeat bringing her forward with the force pushing through her legs as the muscles went ready to attack and put power into attacks. Down to the marrow the force was seeped while her arms pumped and small inhales with exhales. A grunt of energy before Saki jumped up, several meters away and sent with a bicycle kick two blasts of force push with her kicks.

Then she was on the ground again and still no need to bring her saber up yet... Now first a right punch as she reeled her hand back and came up with a push, then a left repeating the same motion and another hop to combine all four attacks into a single blast for a third volley. Her boots and gauntlets tucking in a little for the forearm bracers and gloves from Darron Wraith gleamed with cortosis. His gift for training in hand to hand with vaapad, his lessons coming to her while she reached to connect that loop with Aerrah and make herself stronger to close it while striking forward with strikes a fraction as faster a Josiah could make, barely a fraction of Darron and more on par with Iella while she went to try and strike across the length of the siths body with rapid force empowered strikes.

The Force would free him of his leg, perhaps.

The saber, as ever, more a distraction than anything. You could see it coming a mile away, and that's what he was planning on. The blaster found its way into his chest, although it barely registered as anything. In fact, it fell, clattering, to the ground at his feet even as he barreled over it.

But his claws found air, and he deactivated his saber with the Force as it sailed into his leg. Retracting the claws with the closed distance, they were now far more useful for punching and stabbing. Fighting Claws could extend to distances up to four times their resting length, but they could also retract; no matter what, however, they were immensely strong and near impossible to destroy.

As the leg came up to kick, the claws swiped downward, aiming to sever the man's leg at the thigh - the claws could cut through the hardest of metals, and could withstand contact with sabers. But even if he severed the leg, he was still kicked, and still found himself flying through the air, pain screaming through his body.

The only upside to this? Even a graze would potentially destroy the artery in the man's thigh; a victory either way, even if he found himself on his back, extending a hand to pull his saber back to him again.

Diana was thrown clear of the explosion by a massive concussive force. Tyrfing was thrown from her hand and sent spinning into the air, stabbing into the ground several dozen meters away from the epicenter of the explosion. Diana herself was thrown through the air in the opposite direction of Kaine. There was no building to stop her, no large steel walls, but there was columns, and there were many of them.

In a depreciating haze Diana attempted to put a bubble around herself, to protect herself from the force of the impacts. It was too late however she she struck one of the columns before she could completely create her shield.

There was a defining crack as the marble broke, bent, and then shattered beneath the wait of her and the barrier. Crumbling into bits. More of Diana's ribs were broken, first one, then two, now three. The first marble column was enough to stop her momentum, and with a loud thud Diana fell to the ground. Dozens of cuts and scrapes now crossed over her, the Armorweave bodysuit she had worn was completely torn asunder by sharp rocks.

A massive cloud of smoke and dust filled the courtyard, and as it slowly rose from ground Diana managed to push herself on her fight.

She began a limp to where she saw Tyrfing stabbed into the ground, holding her ribs as she hobbled along. Slowly as she walked her steps became more confident, her body slowly filling with the force and healing itself ever so slightly. She arrived at her blade once again standing tall, though worse for wear than she had been before.

She heard the hiss of a Lightsaber from her right, and almost out of instinct she grabbed onto her blade and pulled it from the stone.

Diana took up the same strange battlestance as before, Tyrfing dipping towards the ground. She noted its edge was more blunt, and the once evenly sharp tip of the sword now lay completely in ruin, as though the top half of the sword had simply been snapped off in a harsh diagonal path.

“I will say this once more.” Diana called into the smoke, her voice far more hoarse than before. “Lay down your weapon, and surrender.”

Before Rasu had time to react, the Shi'ido was thrown against the ceiling, pushed back by the Sith's own force-based attack. She had been caught completely unawares. She would not let this happen again, her senses would need to be on high alert so that they detected any change or attack that would come her way. Rolling forward, the Headmistress was able to land back on solid ground with her body upright.

Calling her lightsabers back into her hands, she ignited them again, bringing them up into a fighting stance. Studying the Sith for a moment, Rasu could tell that he was distracted, his eyes, although directed her way, were not focused on the Shi'ido. Now was the best time to attack. Leaping over the head of the Sith, she swung one of her blades at his side, before kicking open his legs which she then slid under. Jumping upwards, she brought her blade with her hoping to slice upwards through the Togruta's chest. With her series of attacks completed, the Shi'ido then leaped backwards to catch a glimpse of her handiwork.

The shuttle @[member="Diana Moridena"] and her company used to penetrate the Control Center inspired Republic soldiers that witnessed it to continue their fight in New Coral City. The devastation of the battle intensified as both sides continued to suffer tremendous casualties.

Pushing through the chaos, Daella headed straight for the Control Center that the Emperor, Diana, and others fought in. The Blackblade Legion managed to impede her progress. The effort Daella required to fell one required much more than the average mercenary or green soldier. Yet, the Jedi Councilor persevered with the few of her original squad of Republic troopers that survived.

With much sacrifice, Daella and three other troopers made it to the broken gates of the Control Center. A Cathar male trooper standing over a foot taller than Daella turned to his Jedi commander. A badge on his chest indicated that he was Sergeant Danha.

If you say the Emperor is here, then go, Master Jedi,” he told Daella.

Once Daella turned toward Danha, he continued by saying, “We don’t have the means to help you. Heh. We’re all almost out of power cells. We’ll stay to hold back Imperial reinforcements.

The rest of the battered squad gave a smile to the calm, halcyonic Jedi. Daella’s eyes wandered to the floor for a second as she stood at the threshold into the command center. Then, her eyes locked onto Danha.

May the Force be with you,” she said before turning away and running into the control center.

Eventually, Daella reached the courtyard. Fights surrounded her. Yet, her cold blue eyes locked onto the Emperor’s fight with Diana. Daella tightly gripped her yellow-bladed lightsaber with her right hand. She wore Jedi Armor once again, yet this time it was slightly different than the one she wore on Ossus. She still had a olive-green cloak and hood, though.

While in the courtyard, Daella was able to witness the Emperor’s gauntlet exploding with him flying into the command center proper. Yet once the Emperor began to recover, Daella quickly maneuvered herself to be in a good position.

Using the cloud of smoke to cover her approach, only Daella’s yellow lightsaber pierced through to the vision of others around the area.

In a couple seconds, Daella found herself to the right of Diana. She could just barely be seen through the smoke. She said nothing to her bladesister as Diana spoke out to the Emperor.
