The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

The Jedi would be forced to be disappointed for the rest of the fight it seemed. He knew people were talkative during some fights. But that was only in the holovids. And this wasn't a holovid. Though, if the Republic won, it would no doubt be one if the Republic won the war. But, if he had the chance he wasn't going to let any of these Jedi tell their parts of the story, if they did.

He let the Padawan walk closer to him before he started to walk to him as well. "Leave, Jidai. Unless you wish to die." He knew the Padawan wasn't going to leave, so he lifted up both hands, amphistaff and all at the Padawan and released a small force wave at the Padawan, it was aimed at his midsection. Pointing the amphistaff at the face of the Padawan, he forced it to send a mouthful of venom at the face of the Jedi. It was a wild spit, but it went in his general direction. He was still getting used to the beast known as a amphistaff.

He focused himself within the dark side of the Force for a moment before he had come to a decision. His anger focused on a single thing, his fear of death, his passion of war, it all poured into him from the Force. From the dark side of hte Force. His decision has been made.

It was time to attack the Jedi. And he attacked, aggressively. Charging forwards toward the Jedi, he held onto his three meter long amphistaff tightly and engaged into his first engagement against a Jedi, with a waist height swing to the Padawan.

A beeping from the shuttle console pulled Rasu out of her thoughts. Pressing the flashing button, she opened her comm channel to the person hailing them. A deep croaky voice, emanated from the speaker, Rasu could almost feel the panic rushing from the Mon Calamari's mouth. The Shi'ido had heard about the resistance on Dac, but was surprised to hear that they had accomplished something on this large a scale. Infiltrating the shipyards was a hefty feat in itself but to be able to leave sections of the ring non-functional, now that was an achievement to be proud of.

"Don't worry, we'll be on our way..." Rasu stopped as the message suddenly turned to static. Turning on the engines, the shuttle jolted as the repulsor engines kicked in. The Shi'ido flicked a switch, closing the boarding ramp, before speaking into the intercom. "Alright everyone, we've recieved an urgent call from the resistance. We can't afford to wait any longer, they need our help so we're departing now. I suggest you all buckle yourself in." Rasu's team could no longer afford to wait for Sochi, she would just have to find her own way to the shipyards. Piloting the craft out of the hangar exit, she felt a slight tingle in her skin as the gravity dampeners suddenly kicked into gear, the shuttle leaving the gravity of the cruiser and into the cold void of space.

As soon as she had gotten out of the cruisers defense field, a light on the control board began flashing again, indicating that another ship seemed to be hailing the shuttle. Opening up her comm frequency, she patched into the newcomer, listening in as a new voice addressed her, one she recognised as Vulpesen. "Not at all, Vulpesen. We're heading over to the shipyards, the resistance is trying to maintain control of the yards but need our help to secure it. Just follow me." Closing the line, Rasu returned her attention back to the piloting of the shuttle. It was inching ever closer to the bulk of the Imperial fleet and Rasu hoped against everything, that the Republic would be keeping them too busy to notice them sneak through.

However she was proved wrong when three Imperial starfighters appeared behind her, trailing behind her engines exhausts. Quickly switching to her rear view monitor, she set the rear blaster turret to auto target, and continued to focus on her flying. A shock-wave passed through the hull as one fighter was shot down. Not long after a dull explosion could be heard, which she assumed was the work of Vulpesen. The final fighter could be seen accelerating ahead of Rasu, fleeing the scene before it too suffered the same fate. Allowing this one to live, Rasu passed over one of the Imperial capital ships, it's turbo cannons focused entirely on the Republic own cruisers, hoping to wound the enemy. Rasu and Vulpesen snuck past the Imperials, shooting off at great speed until the came into the vicinity of the orbital yard ring.

Opening up the comm channel to Vulpesen, Rasu said "We'll land in the central hangar. The resistance is being held up in the control center so that will be the best spot if we are going to have any effect." Continuing in her course, the shuttle approached the hangar, the large rectangular entrance glowed blue as the atmospheric shielding continued to perform it function. With the outer defenses crippled, nothing stopped the two ships from landing in the empty hangar, boarding ramps beginning to open. Unbuckling herself from the chair, Rasu ran out of the cockpit and down the ramp, waiting for her team to disembark so that they may come to the resistance's aid.

Vulpesen focused on his flight, learning of Rasu's fighter trouble a moment earlier than she due to a spray of blaster fire which skimmed across his hull. "Blasted fighters. I hate flying!" Rasu's cover gave him a brief enough respite to flip his ship over the others, sending several precise bolts into the engines of the second ship, causing it to spin out of control. "Doesn't mean I'm not good at it."

His self praise was cut short as Ace barked angrily. Looking back, he smiled sheepishly at the wolf who's claws were sinking deeply into the copilot chair. In his head he was being assaulted by thoughts that seemed to have one general theme. "YOU BLAZING IDIOT, NEXT TIME GIVE ME A WARNING! I'M SIX INCHES TALL AND SUCH A FALL COULD HAVE KILLED ME!"

"Sorry ace, kinda forgot you were there." Following his apology, his com came alive to give him Rasu's instructions. "Roger that, I'm right behind ya." He responded before coming into the hangar to land his ship. "Once again, I hate flying." Getting out of his chair, Vulpesen headed towards the ramp, taking ace back to his shoulder as he put on his robes. "Let the fun begin." With those words he opened his ramp and walked down to meet with the strike team.

Karen's respite did not go unnoticed. She stayed away from the windows to discourage the snipers and took note of her surroundings. This building would be of little use but for observation. So she headed down the stairs with a light trot. It was a white washed interior with supple gradations. Like the interior of a coral shell or some sort of nearly oceanic creation. Fascinatingly beautiful, Karen made a note to buy something pretty the next time she was here.

Madam Zambrano's presence then became ravishingly clear. Karen had but to decend the stairs into the Grand Hall to notice her arrival. It was a large round room that must have fancied as a lobby once-upon a time. Good heavens! The Knightess was strikingly tall too. Karen barely made six feet in good decoration. Truly it was an impressive sight. Though, this did not discourage a true warrior's spirit.

"You come alone mistress? ...Very well. If I must pass through your colorful talons to reach the Emperor's throne, I shall not dally nor wait."

Roberts retrieved the first of her two saber-staffs and positioned her Ultrachrome Ballistic Shield's harness just a bit higher on her arm. It allowed both hands freedom of movement as she could now unfurl both saber staffs. Two blades. One in each hand. Single blades engaged held forward. A necessity when facing a whip, to be sure. Then she took a Form V assault stance.

"Do your worst."

...

Sochi was running extremely late, she had lost track of time and got caught in a crowd trying to access the hangar where she would be boarding the ship with Rasu. Ugh she was frustrated, and this wasn't the way to start off an mission of this scale. Finally pushing her way through she ran quickly towards the shuttle making it just in enough time while the boarding ramp was being brought back in. She stopped for a second to catch her breath. When she looked up she saw the others staring at her, she smiled and slowly made her way to find her friend. As she walked she could hear the intercom go off, stating that they would be immediately underway. Oh how glad she was that she made it in just enough time.

From the sounds of it, they had obviously caught the attention of imperial fighters. She decided remaining stationary while this battle went down was necessary. She looked out one of the windows of the shuttle and saw that one fighter went down after a turbo laser flew right through its exterior and out the other side, when she felt that they had finally arrived, Sochi quickly made her way down the boarding ramp fiddling with her belt feeling for her light saber hilt, and taking it from her belt, tucking it within her long, Sleeve. Several others who were on this task ran past her.

Diana did not answer the Emperor, she did not feel like it. Instead she watched his approach with bright white eyes, the image of him being the only clear thing in her vision. As she came around at him from her left Diana once again became a blur. The Force filled her very being, and she moved almost too fast to see.

Kaine would recognize this speed, he would recognize it as an echo of someone he had once known well, as a tactic that had been used by the now dead First Emperor.

Mid-spin Diana drew her blade Tyrfing from its scabbard, letting the silver blade be held downward as she faced forward again. Tyrfing clashed with Kaine's lightsaber locking it into place with a powerful hit and a massively loud hiss. At the same time that blade that Diana had held so oddly came sweeping around above where she held Tyrfing, swooping in an upward motion and aiming to decapitate the Emperor in one swift move.

It was out of character for her of course, attempting to kill someone so swift. But unlike with other opponents Diana knew that she would have to give it her all when facing Kaine. There was no holding back, no games, nothing.

She had to play against him like she wanted to kill him, it was the only way she would win.

Sarge snorted as his only response, raising a hand to Push back against the Wave with just enough power to slow it. Sliding back a few inches from the remaining energy, he brought his saber up and lowered his head for a split second - but the venom missed. Clearly, the man was unused to the creature.

Another thing he could use to his advantage. It was strange to think of himself as a Padawan, considering his age, but everyone started somewhere. Even the Sith fighting him now.

Bringing his saber around, he blocked the amphistaff, knowing it would take the saber. But that wasn't the true goal. His free hand pivoted, energy charging into it as he unleashed a heavy Push from near point blank range at the Sith's stomach. Close range was where the damage would be done to the both of them.

He liked it that way.

Adrenaline surged through his veins and he brought his saber around to avoid a retaliatory attack from the man's creature.

Aika Kawakami

Can one find true light when shadowed in darkness?
It was a first! Aika had actually not only been on time, but also been early. Within the cockpit she had been, confirming with the pilots about their course off approach down to Dac. It was so nice being on time for once, that she had all but ignored the other things going on around her. Her excitement was obvious as she continued the mental prep for the assignment. As of late, the Order had been calling on her more and more. It seemed as if they had finally noticed her talents, which greatly differed from the other Jedi she was seemingly always surrounded with. That is, until she heard other voices from behind her. The talk of her being late was a bit...disturbing to her.

She left the cockpit, gaining sight of Talia and Theo soon after. "As a matter of fact, I was with the pilots. My apologies for any confusion." A nervous smile crossed her lips as her eyes jumped back and forth between the two. Somehow, even when she was early, she was late. How perfect..

With the close proximity of the amphistaff to the Padawan, the head of the snake bit at the Padawan. But only for a few moments for the force slammed into Arvis's chest and sent him skidding on his arse across the courtyard.

Getting back to his feet before the Padawan could attack him, the Sith Pureblood threw back his hood and revealed his raging yellow eyes. The hood had impeded his vision of the Padawan's hand. That's what he would tell people after he struck down the Padawan. Their skill was on par however, the Padawan and the Apprentice.

Summoning the Force to his legs he leaped up into the air, six meters high, before coming back down just in front of the Padawan and landed in a crouch, only to swing his amphistaff upwards at the Padawan's collar area. He wanted to finish it fast, the snake's head had the power behind it to literally tear out the Padawan's throat. While the amphistaff swung at the padawan's throat, the snake's head spewed venom to the mask of the padawan. It was meant to blind him but if it did connect it would most probably go into his eye-holes.

Arvis also swept his legs out behind the padawan's legs in an attempt to trip him up, so he would fall on his arse as he made Arvis do moments before. It came to him, to Arvis that he would have to stick with the Padawan throughout the whole battle. It was the only way to win.

Kaine snarled as the blessed blade Tyrfing clashed with his own lightsaber, his very being shrinking away from it's cleansing presence. Then came Diana's lightsaber, the Jedi Master using a trick very familiar to Kaine, and he decided to fight fire with fire. From his left sleeve came forth a lightsaber identical to his other, with in one fluid motion he held his primary saber in his right hand alone with he brought his left outward towards Diana's. In a split second the crimson blade of Kaine's second saber activated to clash with Diana's sapphire. "Clever girl. I know you Jedi don't like to talk while fighting, but this might be the only chance..." He funneled the Force into his arms, and heaved with all of his might to shove Diana away a good distance. "To talk to one another, get a perspective on the other end of the spectrum. I'll admit it's extremely difficult to talk to one of your kind without them spewing righteous heretic-burning sermons in my face."

Kaine suddenly lunged for her again, himself rather quick, but also powerful in his body and in the Force. He twirled both lightsabers around and swung them at her at various degrees over and over again, always keeping up the offensive.

Dac Orbital Shipyards
Central Hangar

They had made it this far quite easily, to Rasu's complete surprise, however this was only the beginning. As soon as they left the hangar the would be completely on their own. Thousands of Imperials swarmed the rings stations, blocking their strike team from reaching their goal, the Control Center. The resistance members held up in there weren't going to be able to survive much longer and if they failed to hold the center, the rings orbital defenses would be switched back online, wreaking havoc on the Republic forces on the surface. It was imperative that she and her fellow Jedi reached the center and gave much needed relief to the exhausted resistance soldiers.

Tightening her armor, Rasu acknowledged Vulpesen as he approached the group. However the Shi'ido's jaw dropped slightly as a Togruta disembarked her shuttle. A large smile grew across the Headmistresses face as she greeted Sochi. "Glad you could make it in time." she told her friend, patting her shoulder as she came to stand within the group. Looking over the strike team, Rasu made sure that all were prepared before addressing them.

"Alright everyone, we've made it here safely. Not it's imperative that we make our way to the Control Center so that we can provide the resistance members held up there some support. Now let's not waste time chatting, we've got a job to do. Stay close and may the Force be with us all." Without saying another word, Rasu turned towards the hangar exit, using the Force to activate the sliding panels. Taking both of her lightsabers in her hands, the Shi'ido gripped them tightly, giving a bit of reassurance to the Knight. Extending her senses, she pinpointed the location of the control center and began to make her way there, making sure to avoid any other isolated Imperial patrols. Looking back to make sure the team was following her, she continued at the same pace, focusing on calming her nerves for the imminent battle ahead.

SHIPYARDS - A CRUCIAL BLAST DOOR BETWEEN THE HANGAR AND THE COMMAND CENTER

Rasho the Hutt spared a flat glare for the young Sith mook who had presented him with the admittedly toothsome Twi'lek. "Now is not the time, boy. Go and handle the mess at the command center." @[member="Donatos"] and his resistance fighters had holed up there, and large portions fo the station were without power. Here, the lights flickered ominously. He deactivated his lightstaff and plucked a tentacular snack from his belt pouch, scrutinizing Kelborn as the Sith mook departed.

His reddened eyes brightened as a ridiculously photogenic green woman cleared a corner. @[member="Rasu Gan"] was the name he'd heard, Headmistress of one of the Jedi Academies or so it was said. Some whispered she was more. A rising star, certainly.

His lightstaff ignited again as his eyes flicked past her shoulder at the Jedi task force. "And here come the heroes," he said with immense and false joviality. "You know, when I was a Jedi Knight, I never looked that clean and tidy. It's like the Republic started subsidizing the Temple's astronomical budget for hair products and cosmetics."

Without embarrassment -- he was a Hutt, after all -- he gave Rasu a lingering once-over. "And the occasional nip and/or tuck, perchance?"

We're almost there, hold on for just another few minutes Donatos! she thought, hope flooding into her very being. Rounding a corner, she was suddenly blocked by a large Hutt, accompanied by a Nautolan and a Twi'lek. A strong dark presence radiated from his aura, causing the Shi'ido's awareness to shrink away from the Hutt's. He's immensely strong in the Force, she thought, her grip tightened around both hilts of her sabers as she was fixed with a glare by the Sith Hutt. He seemed to be weighing her up, pondering whether she would be worth the effort to fight. However when the Hutt spoke in his deep, menacing voice, Rasu's feelings suddenly transformed into annoyance.

"We don't have time for your games, Hutt. We don't have to fight, let us pass and we won't have to clash blades. No blood has to be spilled today." Rasu had this feeling that her words would have no effect on the Hutt or his comrades, but she had to give it a try. Tensing, she prepared herself for the Sith's answer, knowing that she wouldn't like his reply.

Saki moved with a grin on her face now, the thrill of the fight, the energy she was feeling as it danced along her skin and made her want to enjoy each and every moment of it. Her force energy was in her muscles and her lungs, pushing her forward and fadter, making the sith who came before her a target and when facing a charging Hapen you either fall or get out of the way and she jumped up stepping with a force enhanced kick off the siths chest as his mask went inward with a crunch. The small explosion of plastoid and lens in the form of blood before she was airborne and dropping into a group with a fist to the ground and enhanced shockwave to trip them up. The vaapad creature could strike hundreds of times in a manner of seconds and the users while restricted in the order could hit with a fraction as her bracer covered fists made dents itno their armor. The loop closing while she fed off of the siths energy and sent it back but didn't truly give into her emotions. Just letting them out with each blindingly fast strike. Then she sensed for a moment another sith while turning and remaining in the circle she had created of bodies. Their armors dented and her muscles taunt ready to open another volley of strikes.

"Mercy from a Jedi? I thought your Order had phased out mercy, swept it away like an old embarrassment. You may pass, and you alone." A gaping grin slopped slobber on the floor. With a gesture, the blast door irised open half-way. "But I can't make myself believe that none of your intrepid crew has signed on to the doctrine of extermination. Do you know why the Sith hate the Jedi, girl? It's a sordid tale. It seems the Republic, in days gone by, went door to door on the Sith homeworld and killed everyone, every member of the Sith species they could find. And now your leaders preach the same hypocrisies. No, you may pass, but I'm certain someone in your little party intends to spill my blood because they don't like the color of my lightsabre, and so they shall not pass."

The lightstaff did not waver.

Command Center, Orbital Ring Shipyard

Looking out the main viewport, Donatos saw more Republic transports landing in the center hangar bays. That was good, that was the closes hangar bay to the Command Center. Bhew! Bhew! Bhew!

The Mon Cal turned around at the strange noise, it sounded like a rubber ball smacking against a wall. It was actually more guards on the opposite side of the violet shield his people had set up to block the main entrance cut out. "Azu-Cal! the droid has detetced Republic ships in the central hnagar bay, Jedi are with them!" The hovering astromech, beeped excitedly that reinforcements had arrived. Donatos wanted to rejoice with his droid, but their current position was in danger of being compromised.

"The shield...how long can it hold back normal blaster fire?" The red Mon Cal asked sternly, by appearence only, he could have been easily mistaken for as a Sith himself. His skin and saber were red and his armor and robes were that of an actual Sith. Most of their supplies and weapons were stolen from Sith armories, but the Azu-Cal was anything, but a Force of strong will and calmness. One of his men approached him, the solider was half dressed in civilian rags and Quarren armor. "Ten minutes, maybe a little more. If we lose the Command the Center then the only other weapons we have are what we brought on board.... the reserved EMPs and concussion grenades."

Donatos clad in black armor and robes held the crimson ignited saber directly at the guards beyond the shield, who continued their task of over heating the shield. "We will not lose this position. Disperse, ready your selves. If they break through the shield we still have the advantage to bottle neck them at the door!" His soldiers grunted in agreement and broke into separate sniping positions around the room, each having clear shots at the front of the room. It was true unless the guards had a grenade which seemed unlikely for them to use since even a concussion one so close to the main frame could endanger the systems and risk loosing control of the station for everyone. However if the guard's numbers continued to pile up out side the shield then the Mon Cal militia will be over whelmed. Where are the Jedi? Donatos thought.

Diana moved like a hummingbird. Instead of hard strong blocks her blade and lightsaber instead flickered and clashed against Kaine's blades as though they could only touch for a second or two at most. She used his overwhelming strength against him, allowing her blade to slide off his with smooth motions, like a piece of paper slipping from a desk.

It was almost too perfect, this dance of blades.

The Jedi Master was pushed back, her tactics need her to take back step after back step, until finally she returned Kain's assaults. The force poured into her again, and slowly she seemed to vibrate once more, as if she was filled to the brim with pure energy. “Perhaps it is because...”

She cut off as she spoke, dipping below one of Kaine's lightsaber and slightly dropping to the ground. She stuck her leg forward and threw it forward, reaching out like a viper and attempting to hook her foot around the Emperor's legs, pulling it towards her and sending him flying to his back.

“They despise the sound of your voice.” As she finished speaking Diana twisted the grip of her lightsaber, spinning it and moving to sever the leg that she was trying to pull towards her at the knee, while taking careful measure to avoid her own leg.

Balaya heard the voice and... was not expecting that, a blue haired jedi with a shield. Not somethign she usually saw in the field but then when her blades came out a grin showed on her face. The saber was singing and then stopped while it spoke and the colors shifted again now to a white blade. "Ah master time to battle, come on then lets see what shes got and maybe mess up her face a little." She shifted the blade over to her left hand and the small talons of the gauntlet extended from her fingers. Monomelecular blades able to slice through nearly everything and that usually meant saber resistant materials. The full platemail only looking like a bikini when her stance became a basic shii-cho stance. No need for theatricality when the basics were more then good enough.

"Well then you seem to know me and letting you through to my master woudln't be something I'd advise he is much stronger then me." She moved forward now and shifted to holding the blade with both hands as the color shifted and her boots thundered onto the ground. Small indents while the beginnings of a cold force rage and body came. The muscles becoming taunt and veins showing, her muslces filling the armored plates more while the alchemically enhanced armor gleamed where it was thick turadium, her hair in a fiery mane behind her and a heavy handed slash was what she gave. Going for Karens blade hand the shield wasn't covering and putting the force behind it so a block might feel like getting struck with a truck. It was a small gambit but for a time she knew some blade strikes could be bounced off her armor. Crystasteel was made for viewports and enhanced with alchemy it might be like unenhanced turadium.

Thankfully for Sarge, the amphistaff couldn't get through the beskar plating - although he wasn't quite sure where it had attempted to bite. The fact he wasn't in excruciating pain told him he was OK. Bringing his saber up in a guard, he realized at the last moment the Sith wasn't going to swing downward.

Instead he landed and swung upward; his reaction surprised even himself. As the amphistaff was swung upward, his hand shot down to grab its head to keep it from spewing its venom; if it grabbed it, he'd simply squeeze with all his might. The Crushgaunt would likely break the beasts skull, and if it didn't, it would still do enough trauma to put it out of commission.

But that still left him open to the Sith bringing his leg around behind Sarge's; this sent him forward instead of backwards, as his grappling training kicked in and told him to avoid being a prone target. This would have the effect, however, of bringing the two even closer together - so he snapped his head forward to headbutt the Sith. Beskar should, hopefully, meet skull.

Vulpesen watched the exchange patiently then watched as he offered @[member="Rasu Gan"] passage. "I suggest you take that chance. They need your help, and I tend to survive rather well." Walking forward, Vulpesen stopped just outside the range of the lightstaff. "And what of those who remain but do not wish to fight?" His hand drifted cautiously by his blade and Ace watched the Hutt with interest, waiting for the first move. He didn't want to fight, but if it meant getting Rasu through, he'd do his best to survive the sith's attacks. He could feel the power and to be honest, he was fairly nervous about what may pass.
