The Liberation of Dac [Republic vs. Sith Empire]

Dac
New Coral City; Control Center Courtyard

Kaine fell flat on his back, the clang of metal on metal evident during the roar of the surrounding battle. However; Kaine was far from done just yet, he swung out with his lightsaber to parry the one meant to sever his legs, and curled up into a ball before flinging himself back to land on his feet a moment later. His eyes had changed in that moment of movement, no longer were they the vibrant emerald, now instead they were a dark and sickly yellow flecked with crimson. His skin had paled significantly, and bags that had previously be hidden suddenly formed under his eyes, and Kaine looks many years older than he should have. "Perhaps, but I'm sure it's not my voice they disliked." Kaine extended his left hand, and unleashed a torrent of Sith Lightning directly at Diana now that his cybernetic arm had been replaced with a vong arm.

She flicked herself upwards in one quick sweep, slashing Tyrfing at the lightning and catching it on the edge of the blade. As soon as the dark sparks struck the gleaning silvery edge they seemed to dissipate and dissolve, the blade growing slightly brighter as Diana funneled Force Light through it. She did this continuously. Matching the energy that Kaine poured into his force lightning almost exactly, as if proving that such tricks would neither tire her out, nor work in any other way.

Velok had used Sith Lightning, and he too had died.

"Surrender!" She called over the crackle of lightning dissolving on her blade, eyes listless and expression col.

As soon as the lightning ceased Diana did not give Kaine time to rest, she was upon him again in an instant her speed matching that of a hummingbird once again. She became a blur as she rushed at him, Tyrfing slicing towards his left wrist and lightsaber cutting at his knee once again.

There would be no stopping, no stalling, only battle.

The Hutt offered a slow blink, still mindful of the many Jedi he was obstructing.

"Then why are you here? Your Order came to kill, boy. That's what an invasion is. If you're not going to at least try and fight your way past me and my associates, you might as well get back in your dropships right now."

Sochi nodded and smiled at the greeting from Rasu, "Yes, I barely made it. I apologize for my lateness my friend." She said moving so that she was standing next to her. Sochi in reality was caught up in empty meditation, trying to purge the negative emotions from her body. The negative thoughts seemed to have been many recently, with the death of their friend. That is why this battle was so important. With her mind now in shape, and prepared for the mission she remained calm, and patient. Watching as everyone mobilized.

After hearing Rasu talk and give the order, everyone seemed to be on the same page. Their first objective was simple. Reach and aid the resistance held up here. While it seemed an easy task in reaching them, who knows what obstacles would lie in there way. Talking with a soldier before everyone departed she followed Rasu towards the hangar exits. As they came around the corner they were greeted; although by one most unexpected, at least to her. Coming to an halt just slightly next to Rasu, she raised an eyebrow. A Hutt, Nautolan, and a Twi'lek was blocking the path; it would seem the kinks in the road came early on.

Ru kept her wits about her. She chose to remain quiet and calm. The last thing she wanted to do was fight, but if it came down to that then she was more than ready. She slowly slid the top of her hilt out from her sleeve.

With his free hand, he used the force as well as he could to prevent the Jedi's crushgaunts from crushing the snake's head. But it he had intervened just in time to only incapacitate the snake for the rest of the battle, most probably.

When the Jedi started to fall over him, he lifted up his hand and pressed it to the man's chest to slow his descent as much as he could. With the Force pushing upwards on the man to help Arvis in his endeavour, he let go of the amphistaff so that it could roll away from the both of them. Lifting up his leg that had forced the Jedi to start his descent on him, Arvis sent his hand, the one that had been holding the amphistaff, now empty to the shins of Sarge to try and catch them.

If what he was trying worked, he would of course take the headbutt in his chest, but also roll the Jedi off of his body with the Force empowering him.

The amphistaff rolled to the side, body limp. He could only assume that meant it was out of commission, but he didn't have the time to check - he was kind of falling into a Sith. A lot of things happened at once that he couldn't entirely see, but he could feel, and he found his head impacting the sternum of the red skinned Apprentice.

And then he was rolled away, body sliding across the ground as blaster fire screamed around them. As was typical for fights like these, people paired off and others tended to leave them alone. He was glad for that, even as he gathered up his saber and sent it spinning through the air diagonally towards Arvis, guiding it through the Force. The diagonal should make it a bit harder to dodge, especially since it was at waist height, but it wasn't the real brunt of his attack.

The real brunt came a few seconds later, as the Jedi got up and flung himself at Arvis, aiming to impact the man on the hinge of his jaw with a heavy fist. He didn't use the Force to augment his speed or strength, as his Vong-enhanced body would see to that. But this was the sort of fight he lived for.

Gritty. Bloody. Up close and personal.

HANGER BAY: OPPOSITE SIDE TO THE REST OF THE JEDI
OBJECTIVE: SURVIVE AND REACH THE OTHERS

Saran cursed as the pilot set down and she got off. She was on the wrong side, and the others would be in trouble by now. She sighed, and held the hilts of her sabers in both hands. She was in a hanger full of Sith and soilders, and they weren't falling for her ploy. Sighing, she flicked both blades on, and readied for them.

The first one came in with a high blow, which was parried in a flash of crimson, while her purple blade bit his side. The second, however, wasn't so simple. He unleashed a torrent of lightning, forcing the knight to her knees. Still managing a parry, she sent the crimson blade into the heart of her assailant, giving her respite enough to dispatch another with a quick thrust to the neck. But as she did, blasterfire erupted all around her, and she was hit several times. In pain and suffering, she called her offhand blade back to her hand, she readied for the next change, deflecting as best she could.

Throwing his legs upwards, he let them carry the rest of his body to his feet from his back. He threw his hand out to the side to grab a fallen soldier's blaster with the Force. He threw his hand forwards and pointed it at the padawan to guide the blaster to the side of his head, just as his lightsaber was being guided to Arvis's waist.

His specialty was with the Force. So he had to use it, it was the only way he could win the battle. The man was armoured. That would be tough to get through, he needed another weapon, or to simply take off his mask so that he could plunge his fingers through his sockets. But that would have to sacrifice himself to do that too. All of these thoughts went through his mind, when he just let the darkside of the Force take over his body, and he let the pain he was currently feeling from the headbutt add to the power and he wrapped the force around the lightsaber. He was attempting to slow it down and remove the grip the Jedi had over it. If it did work, he would guide it to the side of Arvis passing him by harmlessly. After all, his power was with the Force.

He let the Force gather in his legs as he leapt straight up into the air when he realized the Jedi was just charging straight at him. It wasn't a really high jump, since he was quite unbalanced from only just getting to his feet, but he had enough height so that he could clear four meters in the air, before he started to come down, and forming a force shield over his body at the same time.

It was going to be a long day if he had to this Jedi the whole time.

It was true that A'donari had gone missing months ago. He would be lying to himself had he of said that it wasn't what he had wanted. After his Master leaving the order and his own belief faltering he hadn't had a choice. Run, stay, fight, resist. What was the difference. Why would he make a difference. Each thought spurred him to think about why he was important. Why had the force chosen to wield him? He needed to find this answer.

The next day A'donari found himself among the ranks of a unit of soldiers being deployed as a common soldier into the universe. He did what was asked. Grunt work, followed orders, and most importantly engaged the people he had always swore to protect. The months flew by bringing Knight Cinn closer to the light side Ben Watts had opened to his life. The truth and purity he had consumed himself with through his training was finding him now. As if he were a vessel the force sought after. A'donari Cinn had become the Knight he had always dreamnt of becoming not through training but through large acts of humbling himself.

Present moment
The shuttle his team had been assigned to was smaller than he would have hoped. What, with a Jedi Master within his midst and the rest of the team holding on for dear life while the pilot threw the ships tail around like a speeder he now wished he had strapped himself down more securely. Just as the thought crossed his mind the ship thrashed violently. A second later A'donari felt a fuzz in his head and a not on his jaw where it had connected firmly with the metal floor. He swallowed the blood filling his mouth before jumping up quickly at the sight of the Jedi master ripping open the side of the ship and the sound of the troops "OORAH!!!" sounding the charge. Jumping forward, A'donari rushed through the gaping hole with his fellow soldiers meeting the Sith forces in open combat. Many of which found a nap was instantly waiting when they rushed the 6'8" Nautolan. His mind was full but focused as he faught the strong emotions fighting to take over his body while fighting. What little cover they could find they advanced to. His own rifle fired, not truly aiming, mostly for the sake of cover before he shouted above the battle to the blonde Jedi with a smile on his face,"I take it you're in charge lady. We'll follow you to our end. We'll love you more if you make sure today isn't that day though!"

"Again with the surrender routine?" Kaine reflected inwardly on Diana's speed, a speed so ferocious that he had only seen it's equal only once. However; the man who had utilized such speed had been dead for a long time now. Then she was upon him, with the ferocity and viciousness of the Vornskr that Kaine had taken for his Darth title. He swung his lightsaber down to parry the strike towards his knee, but he was a fraction too slow to completely block the strike aimed at his wrist. The blessed blade struck off of his lightsaber, and instead of cutting through his wrist it cut a long slash across his forearm. The pain was more than Kaine would've have ever expected, and an involuntary roar of pure agony rolled past his lips at Diana that manifested itself as a Force Scream.

It took all of Kaine's willpower to prevent the fingers of his left hand from opening and dropping his lightsaber, and it took even more willpower to prevent himself from suffering the effects of shock from the strike. It was nothing like Kaine had ever experienced, and it was as if all of the darkness in Kaine's body had screamed in agony along with Kaine, withering away from the wound caused by the blessed blade. Through clenched teeth Kaine snarled at Diana, "You queen... I will dismember you, and feed you to the hounds!" Instead of charging in again, Kaine decided upon a different approach and lashed out at Diana with telekinetic force, to try and throw her around into the surrounding courtyard structures.

WHAT?!?! Rasu knew Hutt's were cunning, but this Sith must be the most cunning of his entire species. Making her choose whether to stay and fight with her fellow Jedi, or abandon them to save the lives of the resistance. How was she to choose? Hate began to swell within the Jedi Knight, but she quickly pushed it down, expelling it from her body, that would not help her here. She needed to be calm and focused if she was to make the right decision. The blaster fire grew louder from the other side of the blast door, making her heart beat a bit faster. Turning to face her fellow Jedi, she made eye contact with Sochi, surely she would know what to do.

However the Shi'ido turned away from her friends, she was confident in the Jedi's strength and force prowess. If she wanted to, she could leave them, confident that they could overcome the Hutt and support the resistance fighters. Then again, if all of the Jedi focused on the Hutt, he could be defeated that much faster, risking the lives of the Mon Calamari and the Quarren, yes, but they would have a stronger fighting force when the came through the other side to assist. It all relied on the duration of the duel. What was she to do? The crimson blade of the Hutt's placed a menacing, evil glow over the giant worms face, a smile growing on his face.

Vulpesen offered her his own opinion, however it didn't really help, she wasn't just going to abandon her companions. She knew what she had to do, and she hoped that whatever happened, the encounter with the Hutt and his subordinates were dealt with quickly.

"Everyone you know your priorities. I promise to be back as soon as I've handled the situation in the control center." Walking slowly past the Hutt, she continued through the blast doors, which slammed shut behind her. Guilt began to overwhelm her but she promised that as soon as the situation was dealt with in the control center, she would be back to assist her comrades. The blaster fire grew louder as she rounded another corner, walking straight into an Imperial trooper. Facing the Jedi stunned, the soldier was too slow to escape her blade as it impaled him through the chest. Seeing that the corridor was filled with soldiers and battle droids alike, Rasu activated her other blade, washing bursts of green and yellow light over the walls, as her blades cut through the waves of Imperials, her desperation to return to her friends driving her forward.

Deflecting blaster fire from the troopers who had suddenly noticed her presence, Rasu continued down the corridor, leaving a long line of severed carcasses and burning droid parts in her wake. The sound of blaster fire had started to decrease, the numbers of Imperial soldiers dropping drastically. It was not long before the Shi'ido found herself faced with a purple energy barrier. Impaling the final trooper who took a shot at her, Rasu walked closer, inspecting the shield.

"Hello, is anyone there. I'm Jedi Knight Rasu Gan here to assist the Mon Cal resistance."

The rebels in the control room needed to be stopped before the Jedi in the Hanger could reinforce them. It was necessary in remain in control of this station. Therefor the Assassin finally went into motion. He slipped across the walling as what seemed to be a moving puddle with two red lumps until he reached the hall where the Jedi stood. The Dark Side was permeable about him as he neared to Mon Cal Force-Sensitive, Donatos, and the Jedi, Rasu Gan.

He was soon in position to strike and he did, with a sudden fluid motion he transformed into his natural form and lunged toward the Jedi and in mid-air with a fair amount of accuracy sent a Force-shock from his jaws toward her to stun or possibly wound her.

"Diiiiiieeeee!"

A fluid, malicious voice would fill the room like a cold river ebbing down over sharp stones. It was most certainly a Sith Assassin and it was most certainly pissed off.

Without control of herself Diana flew back, thrown by the force of the scream. She tumbled against the ground, losing grip on her lightsaber and sending it flying across the ground of the courtyard. Somehow though she managed to hand onto Tyrfing and as she once again struck the ground and entered a roll she stuck the blade out as to not cut herself.

Quickly she stood back up again, slightly dazed by the ringing in her ears.

Then something coiled around her, like a boa aiming to kill. She scowled as the familiar feeling of being wrapped in telekinesis. Shorn had played this game with her on Ossus. Before she could react however Kaine lifted her from her feet, tossing her against one of the ornate columns that rose out of the ground in the courtyard. Only briefly before she struck the marble did Diana manage to throw up a force barrier.

Though it was not enough. As she smashed into the column a silent crack could be heard as one of her ribs broke.

The Stone tumbled and fell, and before Diana could react she was lifted in the air again. This time however power surged from her, and then was expelled. A wave of concussive force blew away from her, dispelling the telekinesis and throwing rubble and dust away from her. She dropped onto the ground with a silent thud, grimacing at the pain lancing up her side.

She completely ignored his words.

“Though you may have never known the light before, It is a path that is still open. Even to you.” As soon as she finished speaking Diana pulled something from her hip. A second Lightsaber ignited in deep Sapphire, the blade springing to life and almost immediately leaving her hand.

She threw the lightsaber at Kaine, the spinning blade moving almost too fast for the eye to see. Quickly behind it the woman followed, dashing with her trademark speed and aiming a precise slash at Kaine's right side.

Tallia smiled courteously at the diplomat, then saw Akia step out of the cockpit. "Well, It seems I'm the late one today." She said with a smirk. "But now that I'm here, we can get a move on." She walked up the ramp and into the shuttles interior, taking a seat in one of the passenger benches.

"So, mind telling me what we're doing exactly?" She asked. "All I know is that we've been tasked to protect you. Where are we planning on going?" Tallia hoped she wasn't speaking out of line, but she tended to skip formality and get right to business.

Sarge felt the control of his saber being tugged from his grasp and saw the blaster in the same instant; so he made a split second decision. He actually let go of his control of the saber for a brief moment, causing it to miss his target, this allowed him the concentration to catch the blaster with the hand he would have punched the man with.

That punch was unnecessary as he noticed the tensing of legs which indicated a jump. Stopping abruptly, he took the saber back into his control and turned it off, guiding it back towards him. Looking at the saber in his hand, hand in more than a little bit of pain from the impact of catching it, he set the power cell to overload and threw it towards the falling Sith.

Letting the saber continue back to him but shifting most of his focus towards guiding the blaster that was about to go critical, he prepared himself for the coming blast by erecting a weak shield in front of him. A powerpack overloading was a huge, huge gamble; much like throwing a thermal detonator.

But the pay off was immense. The Force may not be his specialty, but that didn't make him weak; he had to keep telling himself that.

Small specks of debris crunched under her boot. The battle was young, but scars were already there. Aerrah looked down the street with a side ways glance. A lone woman standing in the midst of a ring of corpses. Jedi, and a strong one no doubt. She stopped in the center of the street. The wind tugged at her hair and the stench of blood and smoke was strong in the air. "Come here to fight the boys or you lookin' for a better challenge"? Aerrah turned heel to face her foe. A duel was about to go down, over absolutely nothing besides one was on the blue team, and the other the red. She slowly retrieved her two Lightsabers, yet stayed the blades from breathing once more. Nothing could prepare her more than this, weapons in hand, she was ready for this showdown.

Waving his left hand over his body he casted as much power as he could into the force without draining himself completely. He didn't know much about blasters, but he did know that power cells could be overheated and blow up. He figured that was what was happening now. He threw his other free hand up to throw a force push that was strong enough to send the blaster back down to where it came from. But that was always going to be a risk since it would probably explode in the next few moments.

Angling and bending his body away from the blaster as much as he could, he wrapped himself with the Force as much as he could as he fell to the ground in his force shield and the blaster was falling to the floor. He knew there was going to be a lot of pain involved for himself, though he hoped the same could be said for the Jedi.

It was most definitely going to be a painful descent this fight.

A sharp tingle of danger sense suddenly flashed at the base of her spine. Reacting immediately, she gave no second thought to her actions, dropping to the ground where she rolled to one side of the corridor. Turning around she barely had enough time to bring up her blade that caught a single bolt of lightning. Following the source of the fork, she was surprised to find a large black feline creature glaring at the Shi'ido, it's teeth bared as if it wanted to take a giant chunk out of the girl. A dark aura radiated from the beast, causing the Headmistress to assume that this being was also some form of Force-user, and its reasons for attacking could only mean it was...Sith!

Jumping into action, Rasu ignited her two lightsabers, calling out through the shield to warn the resistance members. "Don't lower the shield, I've got some company that you don't want to get into the center. Let me deal with it first." Bringing her sabers up above her head, Rasu leaped towards the beast, bringing her blades downwards in an attempt to cleave the creature in half.

Sure enough, the moment the Force Push hit it, the blaster went critical, lighting the space between them with fire and shrapnel. The overload timer was short, akin to a short-fused grenade. Considering it was often a soldiers last resort, they tended towards a small timer. If it was going to be a suicide option, may as well make it quick before they could capture you.

The explosion evaporated his small shield and licked at his robes and beskar, although for the most part he found himself fine - he shielded his face with his arms. This had the side effect of making his lightsaber smack off his chest and fall to the ground. Peering at the lingering smoke of the explosion, he hefted the blade and ignited it again.

His adrenaline was wearing down, his body tiring. The Force took more out of him than any physical fight ever could. He'd have to use it more sparingly for now. Still, he brought the saber up and into a guard, waiting to see what had happened to his opponent.

SHIPYARDS - BLAST DOOR BETWEEN THE HANGAR AND THE COMMAND CENTER

Sochi made eye contact with Rasu, it was viable that she leave the group and go. She needed to save that resistance team. She nodded slightly to her before she looked away. Ru could tell she was conflicted. Sochi looked up at the opposing sith, her head held up. When she saw from the corner of her eye that Rasu took the offer and began to walk. Sochi felt some relief. That's what she wanted her to do, the doors shut tightly behind her; and then there were three.

Sochi could feel the uneasiness of the room, but she kept her composure. They are Jedi; they mustn't lose focus now. Sochi eyes the adversaries just down from them. It was true indeed that this sith was strong in the dark side, and confrontation was definitely inevitable. She looked over to Vulpesen, making eye contact with him, before looking back to her line of vision.

Her long Jedi robes flowed from her body, and draped along the floor. They were brown in color, covering a dark brown shirt, and long, light brown skirt. Her Togruti sash showed as well. She fully released her saber from her sleeve. She took a deep breath. She finally decided to inject a few words in.

"It's obvious your not willing to engage in peaceful parlay. Darksider, are you prepared to meet your fate?" She said softly, but with sterness in her voice.
