DESCRIPTION

Founded in the Core Worlds, the current iteration of the IGBC finds itself a special place among the galactic elite. Well known for the names backing, it has a notorious reputation for funding galactic wars in parallel to developmental projects on planets near and far. With reserves ranging in the economic extremes, the IGBC sees itself as one of the primary controllers of the Galactic Credit - using this large reserve to help influence and stabilize its fluctuation costs. Yet, most of its business is orientated towards management of other galactic companies - choosing an 'invest and then buy' approach should they be successful.​

Run by a board of Chairmen, each holding a percentage of stock, the IGBC uses the strength of its founding members to help guide the company and its subsidiaries to a brighter path; though with an expanded development into the more dangerous and lucrative realm of political entities. While not expressively loyal to any galactic entity, the fact that the Board is made up of such colorful characters brings up possible internal motivations and manipulation across the companies various decisions.​

Regardless, the reputation of the IGBC stands as a golden staple-point of the Bank's continued efforts to expand and assist the various galactic powers press forward in the world of economics - and the less notable autonomous planet-states that need the ever helpful developmental loan. With assets across the known Galaxy, and even on some of the satellite galaxies, the InterGalactic Banking Clan certainly stands up to the namesake it carries.​

RATIONALE

The InterGalactic Banking Clan, or IGBC, was once the most powerful and influential commerce guild in the Republic until it was nationalized under the orders of the Supreme Chancellor - only fading in the years to come, with infighting and extra-galactic threats sending the monolithic super conglomerate into the annals of history as a forgotten superpower. Eventually, it faded out during the Great Darkness after the terrorist attack enacted by Zero; yet it would not be its final chapter.​

Reinvigorated by the exceptionally chaotic climate of the Galactic Credit, the IGBC was considered a necessity once again by some of the richest, most entrepreneurial individuals the galaxy had to offer. With the backing of many of the largest companies in the galaxy in some form, the IGBC was recreated with a Charter on Coruscant to help stabilize the tumultuous markets, and see the future less beholden to war- and rather the entrepreneurial ingenuity of the Chairmen and their investments; helping to realize the largest boom in the galactic economy since the the war machines began their conquests.​
