Formerly called the Dagatan Mining Guild, Segroth Materials Corporation is one of Dagata IV's oldest institutions. Originally purely a mining concern, working in the asteroid belt surrounding Dagata System and mining Tibanna gas on Dagata, the company has expanded into several divisions ranging from materials research and development, chemical production, materials production, and mineral refining. From its production of Tibanna gas, and its highly refined variant, TibannaX, to discovering new super-materials and chemicals to improve our society and the galaxy around us, Segroth Materials Corporation is your partner in Making A Stronger Life!
RATIONALE
Long ago, the Barony of Dagata being no longer an official title or office of state since the death of the second Baroness, Shalya Mazah, during the earliest years of the Gulag Plague, sought to invest its wealth into several corporations becoming either majority or senior minority stockholder in almost a dozen companies there. These investments and percentages remain in force today, over four centuries later, and while the present Baroness, Visanj T'shkali, has opted to take a 'hands off approach' in their day-to-day operations and affairs, the Baroness still retains her place at the boardroom table whenever she wants it.
