"Sir."
The words snapped him out of his trance. Sid had assembled a few platoons worth of Stormtroopers, some who had survived the drop and were essentially leftovers. He coalesced them into a single unit, under his Recon detachment, which now had become a rather ugly thorn in the Alliance's side in the city.
He made a mental note as his company-sized element hustled through the streets, himself at the forefront. The 9-1-9, the Recon element, was at the front with the regular Stormtroopers at the rear. The heavier elements of the group, the few anti-tank and machine gunners he had with them, were also in the rear. He didn't have much, but he did have experienced troops.
He opened a comm channel. He was roughly four blocks from the theater. His voice had the distinct sound of the distortion from his helmet, his slick black armor with only a small green portion on the front. His HUD alerted him to nearby chemical contaminants and reminded him to keep his helmet sealed. He gestured the alert away with a flick of his eyes and pushed forward.
"774, this is Lieutenant Berik. Hold your position."
He was roughly four hundred meters away when he saw it- the terrifying power of the Jedi on full display. The cloud of gas- what he assumed to be a chemical agent of some kind, was whisked away. He realized the situation, quickly, analyzing what was going on- the Alliance was pushing into the theater, supported by machine gun fire, sweeping above their approach to pin down the trapped Imperials inside. Sid put down his rifle- sprinting to the rear of the formation, grabbing the rocket teams to urge them to come forward. He held his rifle down at his side, sprinting back to the front of the group. They spread out on the street, not quite noticed yet- and the distance they were meant that it was a long engagement for small-arms fire.
But, not for rockets. Sid gave a simple direction, two hands up, and gestured to the entrenched machine gun positions the Alliance had. The rocket teams loaded, made ready- and all at once, fired in unison. Sid turned his head and gave the order for the small arms to open up as well, suppressive, continuous fire from his troops- though at this distance, not entirely accurate. Blaster fire, and as soon as the heavy repeaters were setup- a heavy, steady volume of supporting fire. He turned his head towards a nearby building and ordered a recon team to clear it, while his troops opened up. He wanted the machine gun teams up high, angling down at the theater and more able to cover their approach.
In other words, Sid wanted to rain hell on the enemy.
