The Enclave | Temporary Repository

Since the inception of the Mandalorian culture, those who follow the Resol’nare have become the most feared and most hated. As much as the Jedi are criticized for their dogma or the Sith for their lust of power, there has never been a true ally of the Mandalorians outside of themselves. And now, more than ever, when Mandalore has fallen and our people have been scattered, the Mando’ade need a place where they can rest from persecution and rebuild.

That is the Enclave.

A hidden covert open to all who follow the Resol’nare, the Enclave is a neutral location in which none are turned away. Hunters have a place to take stock and find their next target; Warriors may rest, recover, and equip themselves with new items to further their capabilities in the battlefield; Foundlings and initiates to the six actions may find a place to train under the tutelage of those who came before; Blacksmiths and gunsmiths may hone and practice their craft. The Enclave is what Mandalore was, and what Mandalore cannot be: a safe space, hidden from the galaxy. Home.

SEASON OF RECLAMATION

thestorysofar_1.png

The Sith rained fire on Mandalore. And for a moment, the future of the Mando'ade was uncertain.

No matter what defeat the children of Mandalore had faced, and in that there had been few, one thing had always been the case; Mandalore was there for them to fall back on. And now they had been sundered from their home, their people killed or lost, their culture on the brink of extinction.

It was in that dark hour that a few brave warriors and survivors braved the wilds of Roon to etch out a cave into the mountains, one to give them respite from the elements, a place that they could finally rest. Slowly they began to dig and carve deeper, and as more and more of the Mando'ade joined them, what was a cave turned into a true harbor of safety.

It turned into the Enclave.

The regrouping of the Clans began. After a message was covertly sent throughout the galaxy, the Enclave hosted a first regathering of the shattered and broken clans in New Beginnings. It was there that the Quartermaster, the nominal leader of the Enclave, announced that she would not claim any position of leadership among the Vode, nor would she claim the title of Mand'alor. She announced that the Enclave would not sponsor more infighting and bloodshed, but instead a cooperation between the survivors of the Sith genocide.

It was from there that the rebuilding began. A single warrior was sent to Sev Tok to scout the rumors of potential artifacts there in Hidden Fissures. And on the jungle moon of Onderon, Dxun, a team of warriors were sent to recover priceless artifacts from the overrun, infested remnant of Mand'alor the Ultimate's great Neo-Crusader fortress in Into the Jungle. Meanwhile, in the Enclave, the Quartermaster personally taught a beginner's lesson in Metalsmithing to those who were interested in following the path, perpetuating the traditions of the great Mandalorian Forgemasters.

But despite their declaration of neutrality amongst the constant bickering of the clans, it was not a declaration of isolation. In Chu'mar, the Enclave agreed to cooperate with the Mandalorian Union to receive any refugees that would be freed by the Union's crusade. And in the Call of Mandalore, Mandalorians who held their allegiance to the Enclave and Sons of Mandalore exchanged words and vows.

Butthe culmination of the season would not end in the Enclave, but with the Mandalorian Union and their surprise attack on Mandalore itself, named Operation: Beskar Falls. Mandalorians of all allegiances fought the Sith for their homeworld, and after brutal fighting and bloody losses, they won.

Thus, the Season of Reclamation ended with the liberation of Mandalore. No longer would the Mandalorians face the brink of extinction.

The
Enclave
A hidden covert open to all who follow the Resol’nare, the Enclave is safe haven for all Mandalorians, barring any political affiliation or clan loyalty. Hunters have a place to take stock and find their next target; Warriors may rest, recover, and equip themselves with new items to further their capabilities on the battlefield; Foundlings and initiates to the six actions may find a place to train under the tutelage of those who came before; Blacksmiths and gunsmiths may hone and practice their craft. The Enclave is what Mandalore was, and what Mandalore ultimately cannot be: a safe space, hidden from the galaxy. Home.

The Enclave is also a subfaction of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, serving essentially as deputies in the Confederacy's underbelly. You can join the CIS Discord here, where the Enclave's channel is located. Most announcements and OOC discussions will take place here, so don't miss out!

Orders of the Enclave
- The Karjr : Hunters who work for pay from the Enclave, the Karjr are the Marshals of the Confederacy's Underworld, eliminating targets big and small for bounties of payment in Enclave tokens and gear. [ Roster ]

- The Si'kahya : Wardens who serve as the first and last defense of the Enclave. Their first allegiance is to the Enclave, and they will do whatever it takes to protect Mandalore's one last beacon of safety and peace amidst the galaxy. [ Roster ]

- The Forgemasters : An order of Smiths who work to create where others fight and destroy. While few attain the coveted title of Forgemaster, all Metalsmiths, Gunsmiths, Artificers, and others contribute to the Mando'ade and Enclave in a unique and vital way. [ Roster ]

Activities & Rewards
The Enclave is structured in a unique way, around the idea that one should be rewarded for their hard work and threading. This is both an in-character and out-of-character component of the Enclave, in that those who do work for the Enclave are IC and OOC compensated.

There are three main activities for the Enclave: Hunts, missions undertaken by Karjr to eliminate NPC and PC criminals, Raids, standard Enclave threads, and Vaults, missions to secret and dangerous corners of the galaxy to recover lost remnants of Mandalorian civilization. More about the various standard activities and their rewards can be viewed here.

Enclave members are rewarded through the Forge, a marketplace that functions on an actual board economy. Characters are rewarded with shards and tokens, each of which can be used to purchase gear (weapons, ships, and armor) of three different rarity and power levels; Enclave, the cheapest and considered 'standard' gear, Legendary, expensive gear that costs more, and Exotic, unique items that can so far only be earned in Vaults. You can see your balance of shards and tokens here, and the Forge, where you can redeem those tokens for gear, is here.

Daba'r
The Enclave is a safe haven and almost a New Mandalore for all those who seek rest and respite. To that extent. the Enclave has purchased the continent of Daba'r from the Roon government in order to expand on this mission.

Daba'r was the continent on which the Mandalorians were first rallied by Mandalore the First, and now serves as a place where all Clans can claim territory and finally have a spot to settle down, away from politics, war, and bloodshed. A map and roster here show the entirety of the continent of Daba'r, including territory already claimed by clans and territory that is free for you and your clan to claim.

Seasons
Enclave Seasons are arcs, or campaigns, of a structured narrative that runs for several months. With each season, you can expect to see the introduction of a new narrative arc for the Enclave as well as updates to the Forge and other Enclave discussions, graphics, etc. Each season also will introduce a limited-time activity that can be written for a unique seasonal reward. The previous season, Season of Reclamation, can be viewed in the Story so Far here.

The upcoming season is Season of the Worthy, which will begin sometime in November 2020.

"When one chooses to walk the Way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey. How can one be a coward if one chooses this way of life?"

Welcome to the Enclave

Preface | OOC
Welcome to the next narrative journey of the Enclave. With an updated and streamlined economic system, new weapons, and now ships added to the Forge, the Enclave is becoming stronger than ever.

Season of the Worthy is meant to be a new format of structured storytelling with a clear goal, and hopefully, the success of this season will lead to many more seasons and narratives in the future for the Enclave. Among many of the changes is the introduction of time-gated threads: which, in essence, much like a standard invasion there is a two-week period to post and develop a story.

Threads
  • Chapter I: Auroral Descent
    • Time: 12.1.2020 - 12.15.2020
    • Description: A small group of warriors investigates a mysterious temple on a far-flung world. While a team of two ingenuitive Mandalorians makes it past the puzzles to reach the inner sanctum of the temple, a fireteam encounters mutated abominations and barely scrapes their way out of the temple's catacombs.
  • Chapter II: The Dark Below
    • Time: 12.22.2020 - 1.16.2021
    • Description: Now on the quest to find all five Forge Keys, the Enclave sends its warriors to the sinking docks. Ongoing.
  • Chapter III: The Lunar Shroud
    • Time: 1.20.2021 - 2.3.2021
    • Description: In a surprising move, the Praetorite Remnant have used discarded technology on Clan Kestri to cast a system-wide sensor shroud. Mandalorian forces move quickly to break the shroud, while others investigate tremors and a strange network of underground tunnels in the moon's mantle.

    • Time: 2.24.2021 - 3.10.2021
    • Description: The finale, ultimate struggle between the Yuuzhan Vong and the Enclave for who will win control of Kestri and the Mind Forge.

The continent of Daba'r, or Beginning in Mando'a, is the location on which Mand'alor the First rallied his people. It is the founding place of the Mandalorians, their heritage, legacy, and firstmost holy site. And now, it is New Mandalore.

Purchased by the Enclave from the government of Roon, Daba'r is a place where Mandalorian clans can raise keeps, towns, and even cities. It is a place where they can hunt, farm, and live peaceful lives in a retreat from the war and turmoil that has constantly embroiled the Clans. It is Manda'yaim away from Manda'yaim, and unlike our homeworld, its stability is ensured. Empires may come and go, but Daba'r will always be a place of safety from war and death.

There are those among us who do not fight with blaster or sword. They do not war on crusades against the galaxy or hone their skills in combat against honorable foes.

They are those who mold creations out of metal, who use the forge and bellows to shape weapons, armor, and technology for their brethren and their people. They are the metalsmiths, the gunsmiths, the artificers, the technological adepts.
forgemasterssmall.png

They are the ones who follow the Code of the Forgemasters.

To follow the path of a smith is challenging, more so than it is to fire a blaster or to wield a sword. The Code requires more than just talent or skill with weapons, but a creative vision that guides each strike of the hammer, the shaping of each curve of a cuirass.

Most who embark on the path to becoming a Forgemaster do not succeed. Some quit and join their brethren on the battlefield. Others remain their whole lives as mere smiths, skilled at creating weapons and armor but lacking the imagination and innovation of a true Forgemaster. But those who do prove themselves worthy, prove that they have a fire and passion unlike all others, are honored with induction into the Order of the Forgemasters; an organization that transcends clans and transcends politics.

To bear the badge of the Forgemaster's hammer is to bear the entire culture of creation and smithing that have supported the Mando'ade since before their inception. It is the highest honor and highest distinction. It is the culmination of a path that was hard followed, and bountifully rewarded.

To begin on the journey of becoming a Forgemaster, seek the Quartermaster of the Enclave.

[ Updated 1.25.2021 ]

The Enclave is a place of peace and a place of gathering for those of the Mando'ade. No matter whom they have sworn their allegiance to, no matter what clan they came from, the Enclave offers safe haven to all those who wish to uphold it.

If this were an ideal galaxy, however, it would solely be this way; more on the matter, if this were an ideal galaxy, the Enclave would not need to exist at all. But the fact of the matter is that there are those who would see the Enclave destroyed, be it by raging genocidal Sith, criminals bent on revenge or even other Mandalorians who do not see the value in the sanctity of the Enclave.

And that is where the Si'kahya come into play.
sikahyaextrasmall.png

Wardens of the Enclave

The Si'kahya, or Wardens, are warriors who have chosen to serve the Enclave as its first and last line of defense. Wardens can be seen manning the entranceways into the Enclave and serving as the muscle of the Enclave when needed.

The Path of the Warden is one that is not easily undertaken. While those who work for the Enclave as Karjr or even follow the Code of the Forgemasters are free to go and do as they please, those who become a Warden must have their first and foremost allegiance to the Enclave. They must prove they have the utmost loyalty so, in the darkest times, they will be there to fight for their Mandalorian brothers and sisters.

The Si'kahya is not an order of legend. They are not an order of glory. They are a selfless order of warriors dedicated to putting their lives before all others.

Marshals of the Underworld
[ Updated 3.5.2021 ]

The Mandalorian people are the type that self-govern. No government intervention is needed when each and every citizen is is able to defend their life, property, and family. Petty theft does not occur when the punishment is the smoking end of the barrel. Quarrels are settled through honorable duels, in controlled environments. In such an armed society, peace is ironically found.

That sense of society was destroyed when the Sith invaded. They took our home, killed our people, forced what remained of the Clans to take Exodus elsewhere. Now, we find ourselves within the good graces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Once again we may rebuild.

But there is a debt that must be paid.

Because for all that the Southern Systems boast of -- their advancement in the galaxy, their technological achievement, their military might -- they still remain the Southern Systems. Corrupt officials turn a blind eye to make a small profit. Petty crime is rampant in the back alleys and slums of the bustling trade worlds. When given the opportunity to self-govern, many leaders choose to rather use their position to their own advantage. Slowly the Confederacy is devolving into lawlessness.

The Enclave owes everything to the Confederacy for allowing it to secretly establish itself within the safety of the great nation’s borders. And because of that, the Enclave paid it’s due by establishing the Karjr -- Marshals, in Mando’a -- that would curb the lawlessness of the Confederacy’s underworld on their own terms.

karjr2.png

What are the Karjr?
The Karjr are voluntary warriors from the Enclave who operate with the authority of the Vicelord in places untouched by traditional law enforcement. Unlike day police, the Karjr operate with the traditional modus operandi of the Ori’ramikade, or the Mandalorian Supercommandos in Basic. The Karjr are not afraid to break the law in order to deal out justice.

On the day-to-day, the Karjr roam the unsavory districts of various Confederacy worlds, defending those who cannot and dealing out Mandalorian justice. The Karjr is there to keep the underworld of the Confederacy under reasonable control; they are compensated for their vigilance by the Enclave, giving the incentive to do the dirty work.

A Karjr reports to the Quartermaster of the Enclave, who acts as a loose retainer of the Karjr. While they usually operate freely, the Quartermaster occasionally will rally a team of Karjr after a high-value or exceptionally problematic target. Whether they be crime syndicates, a mobster organization, or a union of sleazy used-droid salesmen, the Karjr will be there to ensure that peace is upheld in the Southern Systems.

A debt is owed, and a debt is paid.
