TSC & TSO Junction

There are not one but two thriving Sith factions actively operating on a galactic scale. The Dark Side strengthens every day. Though members of both groups mingle and aid one another in small scale interpersonal ways, they have not yet formalized or openly declared their allegiance on a systematic level.

What better way to test the waters of what an alliance might look like than to enjoy a little social mixer? A'Mia Madrona has offered a luxury locale hidden in the jungles of Brosi for Sith and darksiders of all kinds to gather, get to know one another better, and enjoy a bit of downtime between the arduous work of taking over the galaxy.

Objective One:
obj1.png

The palatial jungle resort offers a massive swimming pool and spacious veranda complete with tapaniaki flat-tops and huge smokers which are primed to fix up a feast. Partygoers are expected to keep the peace and encouraged to enjoy Brosi's hospitality.

Set atop a rocky outcropping, the resort overlooks a dense jungle valley and is set in the heart of a massive rainforest. The huge infinity pool is built right onto the edge of the cliff so that swimmers or loungers can enjoy a view unlike any other whilst also imbibing in some of the galaxy's finest tiki bar refreshments that the galaxy has to offer. All in attendance will be gifted with a necklace woven from a dozen special Sithspawn flowers.

As the party well and truly begins, it is clear that though total relaxation and even fun are encouraged, this gathering is an opportunity for the more politically minded to brush elbows with their fellow Sith. Between bouts of lawn darts, sun tanning and enjoying the lazy river which cascades off from the infinity pool through a lush tract of forest, there are most certainly schemes being formulated.

The air is filled with light, tropical music from a band playing in one of the cabanas, as well as bird and insect song which filters in from the surrounding jungle. There are hors d'oeuvres plated appealingly on tables interspersed throughout and several drink tenders ensuring that no one goes without refreshment for long.

Objective Two:
obj2.png

Surrounding the resort is a vast, brutal jungle. Madrona is famous for her work with fearsome beasties of all manner and on Brosi, Sithspawn run wild. The lush ecosystem is rife with dangers but the abundance means there's also plenty of prize game animals. If the party isn't your scene, if you've got a Sith Master you're seeking to impress, or if you just really want to claim your spot as the Grill Master later in the evening, your mission is simple: Bring back something to prepare for the feast.

Hunters will be equipped with Spore Industries rifles they are welcome to keep after the grill is well stocked, and the wilds of Brosi offer more than just meat. Big game and trophy hunting opportunities also abound. For those with patience and non-lethal means of bringing beasts to heel, there might even be the chance to find oneself a Sithspawn companion.

Weapons provided for the hunt: Nightspore M2 Blaster Rifle (will not be sufficient to kill some game without use of other tactics/ weaponry)

Creatures one might encounter:
For those intrepid seekers of glory and gain, it seems the hunt is already afoot as you set out. In truth, Brosi never sleeps and the circle of life is ever churning in these vast jungles. You've been warned that hunting in pairs or groups is most advisable, given the nature of Brosi's more wild denizens, but solo hunters will certainly have a leg up in the realm of stealth. Some beasts you encounter will merely yield meat and bone, but larger game will provide hunters the opportunity to collect rare materials used in sorcery or crafting armor.

As you seek your prey, there are packs of roaming predators that might intervene or even attempt to claim your kill as their own. The packs of Malidrae tend to be most protective of locations and aren't likely to intercede unless you're too close to Spore Industries property. However, the roaming Tuk'ata and Nexu variants can be troublesome indeed. For those of you with more cunning and an affinity for nature, there are opportunities to befriend Slipstream Adar who might aid you as scouts or provide early warning against ambush.

Go well, and happy hunting! Partygoers and grill masters await your return.

Once festivities were well and truly started, with enough guests present to justify a toast, A'Mia Madrona raised her voice in vibrant singsong above the murmurs of crowd and chords of music. She was dressed in a white swim skirt and matching bikini top that complimented her red-brown skin beautifully and her vine like hair was woven into one long braid atop her head. The arboreal woman, acting as host of the party, raised her colorful drink high into the air as she spoke.

"Thank you all for being here. This event is my recognition of our efforts to bring the wider galaxy to heel — to spread the knowledge of Sith exceptionalism. Disparate and diverse though we may be, our strength and capabilities are unmatched when we set ourselves to shared ambitions."

A pause, one beat to allow those words to land before she continued.

"Our resilience can be seen across the stars, but we have ample evidence right here on Brosi. Even when enemies think us weak to exploitation and division, we have crushed them. When they have poisoned and scorched us, we transmute toxins and turn back their vitriol tenfold."

A'Mia lowered her glass a bit as if to hold it out those gathered while she drifted gracefully in a half circle to include them all.

"Now is a time to rest, enjoy the fruits of our labor, and prepare for the new era of Sith expansion which swift approaches — there on the horizon, ripe for the taking."

Their host smiled and drank, releasing them back to the festivities and their conversations.

The resort occupied one of the highest cliffs overlooking Brosi's rainforest. Stone terraces had been carved directly into the rock face, each connected by broad stairways bordered with flowering shrubs whose crimson and violet blossoms spilled over low retaining walls. Beyond them, dense jungle stretched to every horizon. The canopy rolled across the valley in uneven waves broken only by the occasional stone outcropping or the silver ribbon of a river winding between the trees before disappearing beneath the leaves once more.

A brief shower had passed through earlier in the afternoon. Rainwater still clung to the enormous tropical leaves surrounding the resort, and the warmth returning with the sun filled the air with the scent of damp earth, flowering vines, and salt carried inland from the coast. Water continued to drip from the canopy in a slow, steady rhythm that blended with birdsong and the constant chorus of insects hidden somewhere beyond the manicured grounds.

Unlike the wild jungle surrounding it, the resort itself had been designed with meticulous precision.

Dark stone paths curved between gardens filled with native flowers whose colors rivaled the drinks being carried from the open-air bars. Wide verandas overlooked the valley below, each furnished with polished wooden tables where enormous flat-top grills hissed beneath the practiced hands of chefs preparing enough food to satisfy an army. Heavy smokers released ribbons of fragrant wood smoke that drifted lazily overhead before disappearing into the humid air. Platters of roasted meats, tropical fruit, fresh seafood, and delicate hors d'oeuvres occupied nearly every available surface, while attendants moved constantly through the gathering, ensuring no glass remained empty for long.

Closer to the cliff's edge, the infinity pool drew nearly everyone's attention.

Its still surface reflected the blue sky so perfectly that the water seemed to vanish into the valley below. Guests floated idly near the edge with drinks balanced between their hands while others occupied shaded loungers beneath broad white canopies. Laughter carried easily across the water, punctuated now and then by the splash of someone abandoning the heat for cooler depths. The lazy river branched away from the main pool before disappearing into a winding channel bordered by dense foliage, carrying those content to drift wherever the current wished to take them.

A band occupied one of the larger cabanas overlooking the pool. Their music never dominated the conversation, remaining just loud enough to weave itself through the gathering alongside the sounds of the rainforest. Politics proved equally impossible to ignore. Sith Lords who had crossed blades only weeks before now shared drinks beneath the shade while officers, nobles, and acolytes moved between conversations that appeared casual to anyone watching from a distance. Smiles were exchanged as readily as compliments, though neither necessarily meant what they seemed.

Peace had been requested.

No one present was naïve enough to mistake that request for certainty.

Casimir followed the path at an unhurried pace beside Efret, his attention wandering across the gathering without lingering on any one face for long. Ancient temples had taught him that every place possessed a language of its own. Some spoke through silence. Others through decay. This place spoke through comfort carefully arranged atop ambition. Every laugh, every toast, every seemingly chance encounter carried the possibility of becoming something more before the evening came to an end.

An attendant intercepted them before they reached the main terrace, offering each of them a woven necklace fashioned from pale Sithspawn flowers whose fragrance lingered somewhere between jasmine and spice.

Casimir accepted both necklaces.

Rather than handing one to Efret, he stepped behind her. His fingers brushed lightly against the back of her neck as he settled the flowers into place, taking a moment to straighten the woven strands where they rested against her collar. Satisfied, his hand drifted from her shoulder until it found hers once more as they continued toward the gathering.

Without looking at her, Casimir's fingers slipped into hers. His thumb moved once across the side of her hand, paused, then traced a familiar pattern against her palm.

I think we're overdressed.

The exchange passed between them as naturally as any spoken remark. Months ago, he would have considered every movement before committing to it. Now his hand found the rhythm on its own, the language becoming as instinctive as reaching for hers in the first place.

His crimson eyes wandered toward the pool where more than a few Sith had already traded ceremony for comfort. Armor had been exchanged for lighter clothes, boots for bare feet, and stern expressions for easy laughter. It was a strange sight, watching men and women whose names had become synonymous with conquest floating lazily beneath the afternoon sun with brightly colored drinks resting against the edge of the water.

For a moment, it almost seemed convincing.

Then he caught sight of two Lords speaking quietly beneath one of the cabanas. Another pair broke away from the crowd to continue their conversation overlooking the valley where no curious ears could intrude. A captain discreetly handed a datapad to someone who accepted it without so much as breaking stride.

The setting had changed.

The game had not.

Casimir had wandered enough forgotten worlds to recognize the illusion. Ancient kingdoms had once celebrated victories in palaces no less magnificent than this before ambition eventually consumed them. Time buried every empire beneath enough years. It never buried the nature of those who built them.

His fingers remained loosely intertwined with Efret's.

Whatever conversation passed between them now belonged only to the two of them. The language had begun as necessity. Somewhere between frozen mountains, forgotten temples, and the darkness beneath the Deep Well, it had become something else entirely. It no longer demanded thought. It simply existed, woven into every casual touch, every lingering brush of a hand, every quiet reassurance exchanged without anyone around them ever realizing a word had been spoken.

A'mia's speech reached him as he watched her from behind the crowd of people. A speech of strength and of resilience regardless of our shortcomings.

Varin's gaze flicked to the pool right by him. Eyeing the surface as it rippled with small waves from the wind.

A small grunt left him as he gauged how deep it was. There were some familiar faces about having their own conversations or paying attention to A'mia's presence, but Varin paid them no mind for now.

As her speech came to its conclusion Varin decided to dip his foot into the water, testing the temperature. A bit colder than he liked, but not too deep thankfully. He decided today was the day to take it easy instead of joining a hunt. It felt strange to him, knowing he could be out in the field and instead he was-

A server droid had been making its rounds and started passing him. Varin gently pulled a glass off the tray and took in its scent.

Fruity and sweet.

Normally he was against those, but he decided to indulge in it, tipping his head back as the toast ended. Very well put together words from A’mia as always.

“Hm, not bad.”

A couple began to pass him and his hand shot out, shoving them into the water, his way to see how deep it was.

Their startled scream was cut short with a splash as he watched ignoring their words as he finally stepped in, the water hissing around him, he decided to seat himself at one of the walls that seemed to double as a natural rocky furniture, setting his drink to the side and resting some sunglasses over his eyes. He leaned his head back just enjoying the weather.

Brosi had changed nothing for Aerik.

The resort behind them tried to suggest otherwise. Music carried from the open terraces, softened by distance and the thickening wall of green. Warm light spilled across the paths that wound between the buildings, catching on polished railings, glasses lifted in conversation, and the bright fabrics worn by those who had come to enjoy Madrona's hospitality without venturing far enough to discover what waited beyond it.

The jungle did not care about any of that.

Heat settled against Aerik's skin the moment he stepped beneath the canopy. Moisture clung to every breath, heavy with rich soil, flowering vines, and the musk of animals that had crossed the trail before them. Somewhere above, broad leaves shifted without the help of wind. Something small moved quickly through the branches, then went still when Aerik's attention lifted toward it.

Farther in, something larger answered with a low call that traveled through the trees.

Aerik paused beside the final marker separating the resort grounds from the wilds. The path continued ahead, but only in the loosest sense of the word. Roots had already begun reclaiming the narrow trail, and vines hung low enough to catch the careless. Beyond the first bend, the jungle swallowed everything.

The young Lechner knew what lived beneath that canopy.

He had hunted here before. He had bled here before.

The memory did not arrive as an image. Brosi had taken those from him. What remained lived in the reaction of his body, in the slight tension that settled between his shoulders and the way his senses reached farther than they needed to. He remembered rain, the taste of blood that had not been his own, and the cold that had finally forced something wearing his body to release it. He remembered learning what had happened afterward from Irina and Torvald because there had been nothing inside his own mind to recover.

He remembered Skadi staying.

He remembered Irina, too.

Between his apprenticeship under Darth Prazutis and Irina's duties beside Gerwald, they no longer found each other with the ease they once had. He missed her. They had grown from children into warriors together, and there were few people who understood him as effortlessly. Distance had changed the rhythm of their lives, but not the bond they shared.

Aerik looked toward Skadi. She had been beside him during the slow days that followed, when sleep came poorly and silence had been easier than explaining something he did not understand. She had seen the wolf without mistaking it for the thing that had taken him, and she had trusted him again before he had decided whether he deserved it.

Returning to Brosi with her should have felt like tempting the jungle to repeat itself.

Instead, Aerik found the weight of her presence steadying.

One of the supplied Nightspore rifles rested across his back. He had accepted it without argument, though the weapon was unlikely to be the deciding factor if they found the sort of prey worth carrying back. A long knife sat secured at his hip, and his lightsaber hung within easy reach on the opposite side. The hunt's organizers had been clear about the risks, but Aerik had not needed the warning. Tuk'ata and Nexu variants would follow blood. Malidrae would defend their territory. The larger Sithspawn would require more than a blaster and confidence.

A Kasina Satwa would require considerably more.

Aerik lowered his attention to the ground. The mud near the trail held several overlapping tracks, most softened by the passage of other hunters. Iriaz had crossed recently, a small herd moving east toward water. The deeper impressions beneath them belonged to something heavier, though the edges had been disturbed before he could judge its gait. A narrow set of claw marks ran parallel to both.

Predator.

He crouched and pressed two fingers into one of the impressions. The earth was still damp where the animal's weight had displaced it.

"Others came through ahead of us," Aerik said. His voice remained low, meant for Skadi rather than anyone lingering near the resort boundary. "They're following the herd."

His eyes moved from the tracks to the broken vegetation farther north. A broad leaf had been torn from its stem, not cut by equipment or brushed aside by passing shoulders. Something had struck it from below. A faint odor lingered beneath the sweetness of the jungle, sharp enough to make his jaw tighten.

The predator was not following the herd.

It was following the hunters.

Aerik rose, letting the jungle settle around them once more. The rifle remained slung across his back as his gaze swept the tree line, lingering where the undergrowth seemed just a little too still. There was no reason to rush. The forest would reveal its rhythm soon enough.

Another distant roar echoed through the canopy. Birds burst from the treetops somewhere to the northeast before silence slowly reclaimed the jungle.

"We'll know soon enough where the game wants us."

For now, he remained where he was, content to watch the trail disappear beneath the canopy while the last of the hunters filtered out from the resort behind them.

Kivah was chest deep in the pool, nursing a Corellian Sunrise and watching for hotties. One thing about the Sith, if they weren't rotting corpses or some other combination of the most horrendous things ever put to form, they were drop-dead hot and shared her opinions on muscles and working out. The Cathar was grateful to see plenty of the later category present, though she raised her glass and echoed, "For the Taking!" at A'Mia's toast. She had a soft spot for the monster, having been one of her students at the Korriban Academy.

Ducking her head back, she let the water pull her hair back, laying it flat against her head except where her ears poked through. Doing it without spilling her drink was quite the feat, but she managed. The infinity pool beckoned her, and she float-walked her way over to it to look out over the jungle. There, in her bikini, taking in the jungle air and looking out over the trees, she felt a sudden longing to return home, to the massive city-tree of her people. The smell of the barbeques and fire only enhanced the feeling.

Shaking herself out of it, Kivah took another drink and made her way back towards the others only to spot a muscular man sitting by himself, the water apparently steaming around him. Moving close, she let her hand drift down by his leg to feel the heat. "Neat trick." She smiled at him. "Always loved a hot tub." With him perched on the retaining wall, he was higher up than her, but she didn't give a second thought to it, placing her back to the wall instead. The water only came up to her waist in this shallower section, so she stretched her legs out, propping herself up until it lapped against her neck. "Name's Kivah, and since I haven't seen you around before, I'm guessing you're with the Covenant."

Brosi had become one of the few worlds Gerwald could honestly say had changed as much as he had.

The first time he had walked its surface, the rainforest stretching across the valley had not existed. The ritual had transformed the world, and when war returned years later, the jungle had become another combatant in its own right, concealing soldiers, swallowing fortifications, and slowly reclaiming every scar left behind. Now it flourished beneath Madrona's careful stewardship until it was difficult to imagine Brosi as anything else.

The resort reflected that same philosophy. Rather than carving the jungle away, it had been built into it. The infinity pool seemed to pour directly into the valley below while the veranda overlooked an endless canopy broken only by shafts of sunlight filtering through the leaves. Tropical music drifted from one of the open cabanas as attendants moved effortlessly through the gathering with trays of drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Smoke curled lazily from the great smokers, carrying the scent of slow-cooked meat that mingled with flowering vines and the humid air rising from the valley below.

Gerwald accepted the woven necklace of Sithspawn flowers with an amused smile before slipping it over his head. Beside him, Naedira received one of her own as they stepped fully into the gathering together. It was a far cry from the armor resting aboard his shuttle. That, too, had been intentional. A simple black shirt with the sleeves rolled to his forearms and dark trousers suited the occasion far better than beskar ever could.

War would still be waiting tomorrow.

The thought came easily now, though it would not have years ago. There had always been another campaign to prepare for, another Council meeting demanding his attention, another battlefield where the Dread Wolf was expected to lead from the front. Even after the decision had been made to march against the High Republic, Gerwald could have found another briefing to attend or another report to review before leaving.

Instead, he had chosen this.

He had chosen a quiet afternoon with his mate.

The realization settled comfortably in his chest as they wandered toward the stone railing overlooking the valley. Too much of their life together had been interrupted by duty. Too many quiet evenings had become hurried departures because the galaxy demanded something of him. The Nether had only sharpened that truth. It had reminded him with painful clarity that promises of tomorrow carried very little weight when tomorrow failed to arrive. So he had boarded a shuttle with Naedira instead of another command vessel, leaving the reports, the meetings, and the coming war behind for a single afternoon.

His fingers found hers as naturally as breathing, their hands remaining joined while they looked out across the rainforest that had reclaimed a world Gerwald once knew before the jungle existed. Behind them, Sith drifted between the infinity pool and the veranda, some laughing over drinks while others quietly resumed the political dance that seemed impossible to escape completely.

Gerwald had no interest in joining them.

His thumb brushed once across the back of Naedira's hand, and a faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

"I was thinking," he said quietly, his voice carrying none of the authority expected of a Dark Councilor, only the warmth reserved for her. "Do you remember the last time we spent time on a beach together?"

VARIN MORTIFER

Varin's eyes opened with the approaching presence, his head tipping forward tilting his sunglasses down slightly. The ancient Sith runes that were branded into his body pulsed a slight orange.

“No tricks here. That is simply just me. I prefer the warmer waters and my body reacts instinctually to keep me warm.”

He sat up some.

“I prefer hot tubs and hot springs to tell the truth.”

When she introduced herself his brow raised.

“Kivah? I believe I have seen you a few times though we never officially met. The first time was in one of A'mia's classes dissecting carnivorous plants.”

It all started coming back to him. It had been a long time and he looked much different back then. Time always changed people.

“Varin, Varin Mortifer. Lady Revna's apprentice. I originally started off in Korriban, then started making my way into the Sith Covenant. You could say I have a hand in both worlds.”

He took another sip of his drink before setting it to the side, the ice shifting in the mostly empty glass.

“I believe we both know Naamino.”

Her ears perked up and she turned to look this Adonis over again, eyes wide. "Huh, I can kinda see it now. I think you were with that prick that tried picking a fight with Lesh?" Though if memory served, he'd just been messing around with a datapad, or breaking it trying to extract plant samples? It'd all been so long ago and it'd been only one of dozens of classes. "You grew up." She said with a smile, choosing to ignore the part about him switching sides. Some might have thought it a betrayal, but Kivah figured it was him looking out for himself, and wasn't that what being a Sith was about?

"Naamino, yeah. We hung out a few times, got some tattoos together. Kid liked my music and I liked his house mascot." Seriously, that Tuk'ata had been the definition of chill, even occasionally sharing her drugs and chatting on the temple roof after hours. But Naamino had been more about the warrior aesthetic, it wouldn't surprise her to learn he'd joined up with someone like Varin. "Been a while though. Haven't seen him since a little after the planeshift. You two keeping in touch?"

LEONTIS ANTALIS

The humid air settled over Brosi like a second skin the moment Leontis Antalis stepped from the shuttle. He tolerated heat the way one tolerated an unavoidable diplomatic reception—politely, with practiced composure, while privately wishing to be somewhere else. The rainforest possessed a wild beauty he could appreciate intellectually, emerald canopies stretching endlessly beyond the cliffside resort and waterfalls vanishing beneath layers of ancient palms, but the relentless sun beating down upon polished stone terraces was another matter entirely. Fortunately, whoever had designed the estate had also understood the value of shade.

Leontis accepted the woven necklace of fragrant Sithspawn flowers with a courteous nod before slipping it over his neck. The tropical bloom contrasted amusingly against his otherwise restrained appearance. Even dressed for the occasion, there remained little about him that could be mistaken for carefree. Dark tailored swim shorts stopped just above the knee, accompanied by an open charcoal linen overshirt whose sleeves were rolled neatly to his forearms. The garment served less as fashion than as a barrier against Brosi's persistent sunlight, and he made no effort to hide that preference as amber eyes immediately searched for the nearest canopy rather than the nearest lounge chair.

A servant offered him a brilliantly colored drink crowned with fruit. He accepted it after only the briefest hesitation. Networking was easier with something in one's hand.

As A'Mia Madrona welcomed the assembled Sith, Leontis listened attentively from beneath the welcome shelter of a broad white awning overlooking the infinity pool. Her toast drew scattered applause and raised glasses from across the gathering. Around him, conversations resumed almost immediately, drifting between campaigns, victories, favors owed, and ambitions yet unrealized. Even here, where music floated lazily across shimmering water and laughter occasionally broke through the murmur of politics, the true purpose of the gathering remained impossible to miss. The battlefield had merely traded armor for swimwear.

His gaze wandered across the resort. Several familiar names from recent ceremonies and political functions mingled comfortably beneath the tropical sun. Others had clearly arrived in pairs. Couples drifted hand in hand along the pool's edge, shared private conversations beneath secluded cabanas, or disappeared together into the lazy river winding toward the jungle below. It seemed Brosi's celebration had become as much a retreat for established relationships as it had a gathering of ambitious Sith.

Leontis suppressed the faintest sigh into his drink. Well... that complicates matters. He had hoped to move naturally between conversations, introduce himself where appropriate, and continue building the network House Antalis would need if it were to gain control of Chandrilla and its rightful influence within the Covenant. Interrupting what appeared to be half the attendees enjoying romantic afternoons seemed... strategically unsound.

Not impossible. Merely requiring better timing. His expression remained pleasant as he slowly circled the veranda, never lingering long enough to appear aimless. Every few moments he paused to admire the spectacular rainforest stretching beyond the infinity pool, though the scenery occupied only a fraction of his attention. His real focus rested upon the gathering itself, quietly cataloguing faces, alliances, familiar heraldry, and those who seemed momentarily without company.

There would be opportunities. There always were. Leontis simply intended to be standing in the right patch of shade when they presented themselves.

The humid warmth of Brosi wrapped itself around Seris Velmora like a welcome embrace. She breathed in deeply as she stepped onto the polished stone terrace, crimson eyes immediately wandering from the impossibly blue sky to the endless sea of emerald jungle stretching beyond the cliffside. The rainforest seemed alive in a way few worlds managed, every breeze setting thousands of broad leaves into motion while unseen creatures filled the air with an almost musical chorus. The infinity pool blurred into the horizon itself, its crystal surface appearing to spill directly into the canopy below. Even Seris, whose attention span usually lasted only until something more exciting appeared, paused long enough to appreciate it.

Then an attendant slipped a woven necklace of fragrant Sithspawn flowers over her shoulders. Seris grinned. "Pretty." The single word carried genuine delight before she was already distracted again.

Today there were no battlefields to charge across. No Jedi to chase. No opponents trying to remove one of her limbs. Just food, music, drinks, and Sith who—at least for the afternoon—weren't actively attempting to kill one another. That sounded wonderful.

Unlike many of those gathered, Seris hadn't come with political aspirations or carefully rehearsed conversations. She wasn't here to impress Councilors, maneuver through alliances, or discuss the future of Sith dominance. Those things were for people with considerably more patience than she possessed. She was here because someone had organized a party. That was reason enough.

Her black bikini contrasted sharply against her pale skin, her black hair pulled back in typical pig tails to keep it off her shoulders despite several rebellious strands already escaping in the tropical humidity. Twin lightsabers, for once, were absent from her hips, though the Force still clung to her with the same restless intensity that always seemed ready to erupt into violence at the slightest encouragement. Today, however...

Today it merely buzzed with excitement. A brightly colored drink found its way into one hand while the other sampled one hors d'oeuvre after another from the nearest table. She had absolutely no idea what half of them were, but that only made trying them more entertaining. "Huh... that's spicy." Another bite. "...Oh! Better." A laugh escaped her as she immediately reached for something entirely different.

The atmosphere itself felt strange. Sith Lords whose names she knew only from stories laughed beneath shaded cabanas. Warriors drifted lazily through conversations instead of combat. Couples wandered hand in hand, officers spoke quietly over drinks, and somewhere nearby tropical music mixed with splashing water and distant jungle birds. It almost felt… Normal.

Her gaze eventually wandered toward the infinity pool, lingering as sunlight danced across its glasslike surface. Beyond it stretched the breathtaking rainforest valley, but Seris' attention only remained there for a heartbeat before it shifted back toward the people already enjoying the water.

She tilted her head thoughtfully, sipping her drink. There were certainly... interesting swimwear choices. A crooked smile slowly spread across her face as her eyes wandered over the gathering—not judgmentally, simply curiously. Some favored practicality, others extravagance, and more than a few seemed determined to prove confidence could substitute for fabric. Seris found the variety amusing as much as anything else.

"...Pool looks fun." She said it aloud to no one in particular before taking another drink. For now, though, she seemed perfectly content leaning against the stone railing with refreshments in hand, enjoying the tropical breeze, admiring both Brosi's stunning scenery and the colorful collection of Sith personalities gathered around it, while quietly debating whether she should finish her food...

...or jump into the pool first.

Efret threw a playfully exasperated look over at Cas without breaking stride. She scoffed aloud—with her voice, not the one trapped inside the choker A'Mia had crafted for her—but didn't otherwise make a sound; she turned instead to their unique language. "I'm not getting any less dressed," she told him silently with a gentle squeeze of his hand and a bump of her shoulder into his. "Nice try."

His tactile statement might well have been a joke and hers certainly was a jab back.

As they came to the main terrace, just in time to see Efret's new friend ready to address the crowd, she led Casimir towards the front where a GBSL interpreter stood nearby A'Mia. Though they hadn't known each other for long, the governess already held Efret in high regard, so, knowing the Deaf woman to prefer to receive spoken information in Sign rather than her typical tactics of lip-reading and Comprehend Speech, the Neti had arranged the accommodation.

Efret watched the shapes of A'Mia's speech conducted through the interpreter's hands as most, if not all, others in attendance listened to the woman herself.

Exceptionalism.

Years ago, Efret would have challenged such a word. Her approach to anthropology of cultures both modern and ancient directly opposed the very concept of one people's, including a faction's, superiority over another.

But the Efret of today held no compunction anymore for the idea. Each experience that had led her further down the path to the Dark side had smoothed out her edges, molding her agreeability over time until she could see nothing more necessary, more natural, than the air of Sith dominance.

If that's what it took to survive against the Jedi and other Light siders hellsbend on destruction of entire civilizations? To fight against their own original suppositions of superiority? Well, Efret now saw it for what it was: not arrogance but abidance.

Both in thoughts and deeds.

She'd certainly drink to that.

May these two kingdoms live long and thrive among the bleeding stars.

With almost effortless grace, she lifted a Paloma Sunrise off of an attendant's drink tray and immediately took a sip. The magenta petals of the garnish flower blooms just barely tickled her nose.

The humid jungle air clung to the skin, carrying with it the scent of rain soaked stone, tropical flowers, and food and drink from every corner of the galaxy it seems. Laughter echoed across the area as Sith from every corner of the galaxy indulged in a rare luxury: relaxation.

And the young Escheni sure could use one, Laying in one of the many Lounge Chair set around the place he waited with his arms behind his head as Madrona A’Mia Madrona A’Mia finished speaking,
As attendants made their rounds handing out necklaces woven from Sithspawn flowers, one stopped beside him.

"Thank you," Kaelen said dismissively with an easy smile, a tabac cigarra resting easily between his lips as he accepted the necklace before setting it across one of his legs rather than putting it on. He settled back into the chair, arms returning behind his head as crimson eyes wandered over the gathering.

Life at Jutrand Academy had been anything but relaxing. from military strategy lectures to Sith philosophy to the constant combat drills, and the pressures of maintaining his rank there was rarely a moment where someone wasn't trying to outdo or outright challenge someone else. Every day was another test,

So when word of a gathering like this reached his ears Kaelen hadn't hesitated to get an approved leave and come as quick as he could.

“I respected Naami too much to pick a fight with Leshanna. Though at the time I did get rather irritated pretty quickly.”

He remembered back to that time, he was smaller then and still picked numerous fights with anyone looking for one. Not to prove himself, not at that time. Not to show strength or dominance. It was just blind anger.

When Mivah mentioned the Tuk'atta mascot his brow arched, he had never met the mascot, not in person at least. He had faced a pack of Tuk'atta and lived. Even slayed the alpha.

She caught his attention again when she asked if he had kept in touch with him. Something seemed to shift a bit within him.

“No…unfortunately. Every now and then we see each other, but our paths have diverged a good bit. I haven't seen most of the Badawans in a while.”

He looked at the water for a moment before looking back at her, the runes that were carved and turned into his body pulsed with a dull glow at first before brightening back to their normal state, drawing a bit more heat around him.

“I take it you are here for the festivities? You don't strike me as the type for political talks. Not at first glance at least.”

Seris had spent perhaps another thirty seconds trying to decide between diving into the infinity pool or following the lazy river through the jungle before something considerably more interesting entered her field of view. Or rather...Someone.

Silver-red eyes immediately settled on a young man lounging comfortably beneath the tropical sun. White hair caught the light almost as brilliantly as the clouds overhead, standing out against the dark stone of the resort. His physique spoke of countless hours spent honing himself for combat rather than vanity, lean muscle carved by relentless discipline instead of leisurely exercise. Crimson markings traced over pale skin in intricate patterns that seemed almost alive beneath the sunlight, weaving across his neck, chest, and arms like veins of molten artistry.

Seris stopped walking. "...Oh." A smile slowly spread across her face. "He's pretty." There wasn't a hint of hesitation.

Drink still in one hand and a skewer of grilled fruit in the other, Seris changed direction entirely, weaving through the gathering with the effortless confidence of someone who had never once questioned whether she belonged wherever she decided to stand. She came to a stop beside his lounge chair.

"You've got a really intriguing look." The compliment arrived with complete sincerity as her crimson gaze wandered openly over the shock of white hair before drifting lower to the athletic build earned through obvious training. It was the crimson markings, however, that held her attention longest. They wound across his neck and torso in intricate patterns that looked almost like living flames spreading beneath his skin. Seris found herself smiling a little wider. "I like the hair." A small approving nod. "The muscles definitely don't hurt either." Her grin turned playful before she pointed lightly toward the crimson patterns adorning his skin. "But those markings are my favorite."

Her head tilted with open curiosity. "Did someone paint them on? Tattoo them? Or are they something else?" Her grin widened. "They all work together."

Seris took another bite from the fruit skewer as though this were the most ordinary conversation imaginable before swallowing. "I'm Seris." She offered no family name. It had never seemed especially important. "I was trying to decide whether to jump into the pool or float through the lazy river..."

She glanced back toward the shimmering water before returning her attention to him. "...but then I saw you." Another easy smile. "So I'm hanging out with you for a while instead." It wasn't phrased as a request. Merely an update on the afternoon's itinerary.

Without waiting for permission, Seris hooked a thumb toward an empty lounge chair beside his, set her drink down on the small table between them, and dropped comfortably into the seat. She leaned back with a contented sigh, crossing one leg over the other as though they'd already been chatting for several minutes.

"I figured you looked like you'd have interesting stories." Her head tilted ever so slightly, black hair shifting across one shoulder. "Or at least interesting training." A mischievous sparkle lit her eyes. "Either way, I think I'll be entertained."

The brief sound of her scoff earned exactly the reaction she had hoped for.

Without looking away from the gathering ahead, Casimir's thumb answered with another practiced movement across her hand.

"I had to try."

The touch lingered only a heartbeat before their attention shifted toward the gathering forming around A'Mia. Casimir followed Efret toward the front where an interpreter stood nearby, translating the Neti's words through practiced movements. His gaze wandered over those who had gathered to listen, taking in warriors, politicians, scholars, and officers standing shoulder to shoulder, united less by shared ideals than shared purpose.

As A'Mia spoke of kingdoms, legacy, and the future they intended to build together, Casimir found himself thinking less about the promises being made than the weight of carrying them through the years to come. He had spent enough of his life wandering forgotten capitals and buried temples to know that every civilization believed it would endure. Their monuments still stood scattered throughout the galaxy, weathered by centuries that cared little for certainty, while the names of those who had raised them survived only because someone had chosen to remember. Grand declarations faded, stone cracked, languages disappeared, and history preserved remarkably little beyond what proved worthy of surviving.

Perhaps that was the true measure of a kingdom, not whether it proclaimed its greatness, but whether generations yet unborn would speak its name because it had earned remembrance rather than demanded it.

The applause gradually gave way to conversation as attendants resumed weaving through the crowd with trays of food and brightly colored drinks. Casimir accepted a glass of amber liquor without interrupting his thoughts, then glanced toward the vivid cocktail resting comfortably in Efret's hand, the magenta flower perched along its rim drawing a faint smile he made no effort to hide.

His fingers found hers again, his thumb tracing another familiar pattern across her palm.

"I should have ordered something that colorful."

Before she could answer, his thumb shifted, the next movement flowing seamlessly from the first.

"Now everyone will think I'm the serious one."

There was enough amusement in the exchange to betray him despite the composure on his face.

His gaze wandered toward the infinity pool where laughter drifted across the water, while others disappeared into the lazy river winding through the rainforest below. The scent of smoked meat mingled with tropical flowers, the band resumed its easy rhythm beneath the cabanas, and for a little while the burdens of empire seemed content to wait until tomorrow.

His hand remained comfortably wrapped around hers as they stood overlooking the valley.

"What would make this trip memorable for you?"

It was a simple question, one he found himself genuinely curious to hear answered, because for once there was nowhere else he needed to be and nothing more pressing than spending the day beside her.

The soft crunch of footsteps over the stone pulled Kaelen's attention away from the crowd. His eyes drifting toward the approaching woman, taking her in without any attempt to hide it, His eyes studying her.

His eyes moving over her dark hair and her lean build as she smoothly made her way through the crowd of Sith, making her way to him.
One word coming to his mind as she approached, Confidence.

The corner of his mouth curled upward in a smile around the cigarra as she began speaking, compliment after compliment as she looked over him, her eyes moving from his hair down, before locking onto the marking on his body.

Most people weren't this open after just meeting somebody
But she was and that alone was refreshing.

Removing the cigarra from between his lips, Kaelen let out a quiet chuckle.

"I've been here all of five minutes..." he said with amusement evident in his voice. "Didn't think I'd already become the local attraction."

His crimson gaze flickered down as she pointed out the markings adorning his skin before returning to meet hers.
"The hair's natural."

He brushed a thumb lightly along the crimson patterns running from beneath his jaw across his collarbone.
"The markings aren't."
A moment later,
"They're tattoos. Most of them are Sith inspired designs, but I had some freedom with them. Got them throughout my years at the academy" His smile widened ever so slightly. "Figured if I was going to spend my life serving the dark side, I might as well look the part you know?" he joked

Watching her casually claim the lounge chair beside him earned another quiet laugh.
"By all means."

There wasn't any annoyance behind the words. If anything, he seemed entertained.
"Kaelen." He offered simply, leaving off his surname just as she had.

His eyes briefly wandered toward the infinity pool she'd mentioned before looking back at her.
"I was thinking of eventually getting in." he said. "Though I could stay right her for millenia,"

There was a brief pause before he looked back at her,
"So" his brow raised slightly.

"You walked past an entire gathering of Sith because you liked my markings?"

A playful smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Where are you from Seris" he said, Not as a question but more of a demand, wanting to get to know who the person sitting next to him actually was.

The female pureblood walked through the jungle her purple hair in a braid the humidity making her sweat as she stood there in what the hotel had said was common hunting attire. For their guests as a lightsaber hung from her belt the nightspore rifle strapped to her back as she walked up to the first markers that separated the resort from the wilds.

She saw Aerik Lechner Aerik Lechner and approached the younger lechner sybil planned to hunt what was still to be determined. "I hope you two dont mind me tagging along" sybil asked looking at aerik and skadi.

Seris caught him looking her over. She noticed. She simply didn't attach any deeper meaning to it. People looked at one another. Attractive people especially. It wasn't a game to her, nor a contest of who looked away first. It simply... was. So she smiled right back as though they'd already skipped several awkward introductions.

His first remark drew an easy shrug from her shoulders. "I don't speak for the group." If he'd become the local attraction after five minutes, that sounded like everyone else's business.

When he explained his hair was natural, Seris found herself studying it again. Pure white wasn't exactly common. For a fleeting moment she wondered what sort of bloodline or species might produce something like that naturally. The thought lingered only briefly before something far more interesting reclaimed her attention.

His thumb drifted across the crimson tattoos. Without the slightest embarrassment, her eyes followed the movement. The intricate patterns fascinated her. They seemed to flow across his skin rather than simply rest upon it, each line accentuating muscle and movement until the artwork itself felt alive. She tilted her head ever so slightly as he explained they'd come during his years at the academy.

"Hm." She gave a slow nod. "I can see how someone serving the Dark Side would end up wanting them." Whether it was inevitable or not, she wasn't entirely convinced.

Still..."They're hot." The statement came with complete sincerity, delivered as casually as commenting on the weather. "It definitely doesn't hurt."

Seris leaned back further into the lounge chair, one arm draped lazily across the armrest while she continued studying the artwork. "You think I'd look good with tattoos?" She glanced down at herself for a moment before looking back to him. "I've never really thought about getting any."

His name earned an approving nod. "Kaelen." Simple. Easy enough to remember. When he suggested he could remain in the lounge chair for millennia, a bright giggle escaped her.

"I don't know..." She grinned. "I'm not much of a talker." It wasn't false modesty. Seris had never been one for lengthy philosophical conversations or careful political maneuvering. "You might get bored."

A playful glint entered her crimson eyes. "When it's time..." She motioned toward the infinity pool with a small flick of her wrist. "...I'll get in with you."

His next question brought another shrug. Her expression never changed. "It wasn't just the markings." A quick wink accompanied the admission. "They just helped."

The laughter came almost immediately after his final question. "Oh no." She pointed at him with an amused smile. "Please don't follow that with 'come around here often?'" Another soft laugh escaped before she realized he might have actually been asking.

"In case you're serious..." She tapped a finger lightly against her own chest. "My blood's Thyrsian." A beat passed before she added, "But I come from Malsheem."

Her smile returned just as easily as before. "So now it's my turn." She rested her chin lightly against her hand. "What academy keeps handing out Sith-inspired tattoos?"
