OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Goliath
  • Designation: Non-sentient
  • Origins: Valrar
  • Average Lifespan: 85 Galactic Standard Years
  • Estimated Population: Rare
  • Description: An even more formidable mountain of armor plating, scythed and tentacle blades, and sheer overwhelming strength, the Goliath looks like its design would indicate; a siege breaker capable of laying waste to platoons of enemy soldiers on their own.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 20 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: N/A
  • Skin color: Purple skin covered in dark brown armor plating
  • Hair color: No hair
  • Distinctions: The most distinctive physical traits of the Goliath are its sheer size, the spiked armor plating that covers its body, its scything front blades, and the four tentacle blades that can emerge from its back. Males have been identified to have a large horn on its face, while females have been observed with an additional set of tentacles but less armor plating around their heads.
  • Races: No other races
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Sensitive
Strengths:
  • A carryover from the Behemoth, the scything blades on the fore limbs of the Goliath have a monomolecular edge and have been enhanced by Sith alchemy to never break and to always retain their cutting edge, being able to tear through armor and flesh with ease.
  • Another design carryover from the Behemoth, the Goliath's armor plating is incredibly durable and even further enhanced by Sith alchemy. Small arms energy and kinetic weaponry are useless in dealing damage, and even lightsabers can barely penetrate the armor even after sustained contact.
  • Even more so than the Behemoth, the Goliath's physical musculature and stature has been even further enhanced. The creatures have immense strength, easily double that of a Terentasaur and three times that of its predecessor and can build enough momentum and speed when they are in a full charge to create a powerful slipstream around them.
  • The first addition to the Goliath is the introduction of Vixus DNA into its genome, resulting in the growth of four bladed tentacles that emerge from the upper back of the creature. Each tentacle is a flexible version of the Goliath's front scythes, acting more like a whip blade, but perhaps even more insidious is the addition of Pelko Bug sequences into the creature's genome that resulted in each part of the tentacles being covered in tiny barbs that inflict a powerful paralytic neurotoxin on prey that gets slashed or stabbed by a tentacle.
  • The second addition to the Goliath is an internal organ within the creature that produces a variant of swamp gas. Through micro-vents in the creature's armor, the Goliath can unleash the gas in an explosive cloud in a five meter radius around the creature. This particular variant of swamp gas produces the following symptoms if not outright death within moments of exposure:
    • Blistering skin lesions
    • Blindness
    • Internal hemorrhaging
    • Extreme lung damage
    • Nerve damage
Weaknesses:
  • Like the Behemoth, the eyes and mouth of the Goliath are prime target locations for enemies as they are not protected by armor or reinforced.
  • Also much like the Behemoth, crippling a limb of the Goliath will prevent it from moving until the injuries are healed, although it can still attack with its tentacles.
  • When it is charging, the Goliath cannot change directions and any attempts to alter its course once at full speed will result in it crashing and injuring itself.
  • The scything blades and the tentacles of the Goliath can tear right through its armor, meaning weapons fashioned from the blades or other Goliaths can cut through the armor and injure the beast.
  • The gas attack the Goliath can unleash is indiscriminate, being able to affect both enemies and allies if they are in close proximity and don't have protection from such attacks.
CULTURE
  • Diet: Carnivore
  • Communication: Roars, although it can understand commands given to it in ur-Kittat (the language of the Sith).
  • Technology level: No technology level
  • Religion/Beliefs: No religion or belief system
  • General behavior: Goliaths are, by nature and design, extremely aggressive and territorial, always on the verge of rampage if they detect intruders within its domain. They mark vast swathes of territory in the wilds of Valrar by gouging out stone and larger trees with their blades, giving no doubts as to what beast rules that section of jungle. Goliaths have been observed creating crude lairs for themselves by felling trees and arranging them with their tentacles, unless a large enough cave is discovered that they can claim. They are solitary creatures, except during mating season where they must impress females by killing other potential mates.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION

While the alchemists of the Order of Shadows believed the Behemoth was already a powerful force to be reckoned with, it was no surprise to them that their mistress, the Lady of Secrets, would place them as the next Z-series strain of Sithspawn to be enhanced. Behemoths were viewed as siege breakers, powerful constructs that could smash through enemy fortified positions and eviscerate anyone foolish to be in the way of its scythes. The Lady of Secrets decided they just weren't big enough or had enough capabilities for the new era of the galaxy.

Vixus and Pelko Bug DNA sequences were introduced into those of the Behemoth as the new creatures were being enlarged, their musculature enhanced even further. The additions of the two new DNA strands resulted in the new creature, dubbed Goliath to continue its naming scheme, resulted in four bladed tentacles growing from the creatures back, just as sharp as their front scythes and coated in barbs that contained a paralytic venom much like the insect from Korriban. The Lady of Secrets still did not believe this was enough of an improvement though.

Taking lessons learned during the development of the twelve Project Aura Sithspawn, Taeli personally oversaw the development of an internal organ within the creature that would produce a variant of swamp gas that her researchers had created. The new gas attack from the Goliath could be expelled in an explosive cloud around the beast through small micro-vents that were designed throughout their armor. Pleased with the upgrades, including the size and strength increases, the new Goliaths were released into the wilds of Valrar to be observed. Order of Shadows alchemists quickly discovered they were much more aggressive and territorial than even their predecessors, and had muscled out or killed several Behemoths to claim their ranges and then some.
