Kaelen couldn't help but let out another laugh as she spoke.
There was something strangely refreshing about how direct she was. No hidden meanings, no political dance like he was used to.
Just honesty.

"They're hot." she said
He wasn't used to people seeing them so that wasn't something he heard every day.

"I'll take that as a compliment." He smirked, as he layed in the chair,
When she asked whether she'd look good with them. He actually took a second to think about it.
"Hm..."
"You would,"

His crimson eyes followed her gaze as she looked at herself, eventually his eyes began tracing along one of her arms and to the rest of her before returning to her face. "Something that follows your shoulders... maybe down an arm and down to the rest of you, ill have to show you where i got all mine done."

When she said she'd join him in the pool later, the corner of his mouth lifted again.
"I'll hold you to that. it does look nice in there."

The conversation drifted just as easily as the breeze coming off the water.
Kaelen laughed softly. when she said how Kaelen might get bored
"I somehow doubt that."
His crimson eyes met hers for a moment.
"You've kept me entertained so far."

His brow raised slightly when she mentioned Malsheem.
"Never heard of it"
Truthfully, there were a lot of places Kaelen hadn't been. Jutrand Academy had a way of keeping students occupied nearly every hour of every day.
"Whats it like there."

Her next question earned another quiet chuckle.

"Oh, they don't really just hand them out honestly"
He shook his head.
"But its not like there are any rules against it."
He moved his finger slightly against the crimson markings on his chest

"I got these during breaks. Piece by piece."
"Whenever I'd get approved leave or had enough credits saved, I'd find an artist somewhere willing to put up with getting choked if they made any mistakes with them"

he said with a laugh.

"Anyways Somehow I doubt Malsheem as peaceful as this."

.

The last time they had been on Brosi had been a remarkably different sort of pace. A war, bloody battle followed by a brilliant party at the fire. Now they were here and things were actually peaceful. No radiation to speak of. No burning wastelands. It was actually rather beautiful and Babygirl had taken a liking to this new Brosi.

Even as Mercy went to fetch herself a pile of beers, the dragon had flown off, to circle around the misty mountains and hunt some prey. Maybe later on Mercy would join her.

It was a surprise to Mercy when she walked back and realized someone had taken her table. The large woman paused there, tilting her head a fraction and then smiled in amusement. Somehow the two of them found themselves together even with no war in sight. She had felt the presence of her sestra, of course. Blood called to blood. But she had assumed that Srina would be first to sign up for the hunt, rather than spend her time here. Her own instinct had gone towards the hunt as well.

The fight, the bloodlust... the hunger, but Mercy was trying to do better now.

Her conversation with Arris Windrun Arris Windrun had shifted around her priorities... somewhat. She was the Face of the Covenant, its Empress and Lord, that came with responsibilities.

It was time to stop fighting that.
"…Can you—"

But they were already gone, fleeing from intensity that had no end. Srina settled back in the chair and set the empty plate on the table with a blank stare. What had she done wrong?

Her frown deepened.

Suddenly large thick arms wrapped around her from behind.

"Poor thing, they didn't even finish listening to you." Mercy murmured softly in Srina's ear, kissing her under it and giving a squeeze. Only then letting go and placing the platter of beers on the table next to the huge platter of meat. In truth Srina should have guessed that this table belonged to her sestra, who else would command such a platter of meat?

"Would you like to share the plate with me?"

This in itself was a great gesture.

Mercy did not share her food lightly.
