Talohn's equipment: Mandalorian armor, TDW HARM squad configuration, I'zêorra stjolkk, large EBFAK, The Mule, Blue Lightsaber

Madlad's equipment: M-8 shotgun, M-10 wolverine, Vornskr revolver, Kusak Heavy Blaster, smoke grenade launcher
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Talohn, who is sitting beside the Mirialan, understands her concern, and calms them with his words if he can. "Vong are organic, made of flesh and bone. Flesh and bone are weak at the end of the day, Lasers and fire burn it away, ballistics blow it apart. You shoot them, they'll die, even if it takes slightly longer than usual at times." He pats her shoulder. He puts on his helmet as they begin to land. "Stay close to me, Leea."

Madlad, at her query, simply shrugs. "I am sentient, this droid is not. I'm making a point not to emotionally bond with this little droid, for it will not be here long." It racks it's shotgun, chuckling slightly. "I'm just thinking about how many heads are gonna pop."

Talohn and Madlad were amongst the first boots on the ground. The droid, as always, left the ship deadly as can be, firing off the Kusak heavy blaster twice before once again holstering it. The droid then unholsters the M-8 shotgun that's over it's shoulder and charges into the fray, laughing like the depraved and insane creature it is. The poor Vong can do nothing in the face of that beskar plating. It fires that 8 guage shotgun twice, blowing two of it's foes into shreds as it dashes straight towards the cover a group of Vong are hiding behind. One of them was just about to peek out of cover as Madlad vaulted over the ridge, feet coming down to crush the poor bastard under it's weight with grotesque cracking sounds. As the second Vong turns about to try and shoot the suddenly appearing droid, Madlad fires that shotgun, sending paste all around as the vong's head is blown clean off. The droid ejects the magazine, laoding in another as it vaults back over the cover to hide from the fire that was now being focused on it. The shotgun is used to blast any that get too close, but the long range weaponry seems to have it pinned.

Talohn took a more conservative approach in comparison to his droid. He wanted to stay back with his pilot, to make sure she made it through ok. The cathar was fully dressed in that strong mandalorian armor Obran made for him. He draws his prized Atin general purpose heavy pistol as they step off of the ship, helmet reading for life signatures through all the smoke and flame. He fires off the 14mm pistol, the chip within the gun connected to his helmet. It gives him an overlay that highlights the opponents in front of him, calculates bullet drop and trajectory, and highlights vital points in enemy biology. He fires off the pistol a few times, each shot nailing a vong peeking out of cover right in the head. <"Hey Aloy, how ya been? Haven't seen you since the party."> He states over the holocom as he casually fires at the opposition. Then he spots Leea falling from the recoil. He notices a few vong instantly turn their sights on her. Before they can even ponder finishing the girl, he peeks out of cover and fires off six times, those 14mm shells tearing flesh without retribution as the vong fall dead. He then sprints over to Leea and Aloy, dropping down to slide into cover by them. "Leea, we need to get you some armor. Also, hi again Aloy, fancy meeting you here." He unloads the mag from his pistol, and loads in the next. "I can handle those snipers, don't you worry. Madlad got himself pinned for a reason. We push up to him, and I can put my plan into effect." He chuckles, switcing to the team comms. "<You nice folks up for a breaching? Madlad will fire some smokes into the enemy sniper nests from his position. We'll put them full of holes while they're still smoked to hell, and we can push up. Sound like a plan?>" He pats Leea on the shoulder. "Nice shot by the way."

The medics and doc had nearly had a field day when Obran had walked past their desk in armor. Sputtering protestations. Panicked orders that he was not well yet. The fight against the Vong in vodun crab armor had done a number on him. But he knew, too long idle and he would lose his edge. He was healed, if hurting. War waited for no one. So when the call came out, he hitched a ride with a group of likely vode and headed to the action against the judgment and advice of every medical person who could try to intercept the shock trooper as he departed.

But he sat, flexing a new pair of shuk'orok sheathing his hands. A gift from someone, sent to his hospital room with an unsigned note stating they might come in handy someday. Whoever sent them, and whoever made them, had impeccable resources and the maker was skilled beyond his knowledge. His hand-me-down armor, hastily if efficiently patched back into service, felt out of step with the stark beauty of the crushgaunts.

Abruptly, a ping sounded in his helmet, and his HUD fizzed then reappeared as he was given notice he was over the drop zone. Lower than he liked, but the propulsion on the suit was being finicky. Mag-clamps clicked and released as he walked to the back of the transport, to the open ramp, and turned to snap off a salute to the pilot. As he began to fall, he ran a final mental checklist for the hundredth time. Pair of kal knives, bes'bev flute, abomination heavy slughtrower. A pair of blaster pistols, a combat harness of flashbangs and fragmentation grenades. A beskad. And his bevii'ragir spear.

Should be enough.

With a flickering spit and sputter, the propulsion kicked in just in time and slowed his descent. In characteristic style, he slammed to the ground deckplating just shy of the blast door and stood, wincing internally but giving no indication outwardly of his pain from the landing.

Comms channels pinged, he announced himself as he moved to follow Siv in, also clicking the spotlamp of his helmet on and off to indicate himself as well since he knew Vong tech had some odd interference properties, or so it seemed... He wasn't good at much but putting lead downrange and straight-up murdering the enemy in unpleasant ways..

Her brethren here was too straight to the point. Minerva nodded in reply. “Acknowledged.” They had no time for pleasantries. The young warrior through her t-visor saw Siv already at the blast door.

Just before she could join him, he unleashed a charge that tore the door down. Not wanting to miss further action Minerva activated her jetpack and flew toward Siv as he went inside. Subsequently she can hear Reeve’s update from the comms. Before the founding could be anything, a figure descended just outside the entrance. For a moment Minerva raised her blaster before seeing it was a fellow Mandalorian.

Letting out a short chuckle in amusement she made her descent rolling on the ground before rising next to the newcomer.

“Not bad vod. Not bad at all.” Minerva remarked entering the building just when they all heard the roar. Seconds later thud bugs were shot toward the small group by a trio of Vong warriors. Surprised the young warrior narrowly missed two thud bugs by rolling forward while the creatures flew back to its master who leaped at her with a battle cry.

Remembering her research on old Vong tech, Minerva dodged as the zealot attempted to try to use his amphistaff in spear form to stab his hated enemy. Undeterred, the Vong made for another stab, aiming for Minerva’s neck. The young Mandalorian evaded to the left side while firing into the alien’s one of exposed armpits

Howling in pain the Vong bent over before Minerva fired a shot at point blank into his face. The new corpse dropped backward. She turned to see how her comrades were faring against their own opponents.

Objective: strikehammer, kill these blasphemous beings
Location: sky, flying like a brick

Stardust had complicated thought on the vong, she met one group that she slayed hundreds of and they had come to respect her even train her in their way of fighting and grow to become a asset. The other hand she knew not all vong shared the same level of respect and it was this day she encountered such a group that made her blood boil

She knew their thoughts on technology, they abhorred the idea of even touching technology, yet today she had heard such a sect of vong that were desperate enough to break their vow and try and integrate tech into their world ship

Star would not allow such a damned thing to happen.

She wasn't sure who was heading to the world ship, but stardust herself had a deop ship doing a low pass as she crouched at the edge and listened to the wind blow and howl as she leaned out

about another 100 meters! Then I'll be good!

She yelled to the pilot, taking a breath she let it out and counted down the seconds, it felt like minutes before she finally let go and felt gravity take hold. She was about 50 feet in the air as she soared through the sky, listening to their anti aircraft shots ring out beside her as she folded her arm and rushed further towards the ground faster. 20 feet...15....finally she turned and hit her jet pack to slow down as she hit the ground and skid sabers being drawn as she activated them and then stood...maybe about 250 feet from her target

not the place I wanted to land

Her sabers went up, out came he westars as she started running forward

This was gonna be a busy day

Over the comms, he heard a familiar voice -- that of Obran, an old comrade. Siv turned, surprised; he hadn't expected anyone else to join him and the two C'ati. But that had been a deadly mistake. Two of the Yuuzhan Vong's 'Thud Bugs' struck Siv in the back. Fortunately, his armor's inertial dampers muted any serious energy, but the kinetic impact sent him staggering forward. "Chit," he swore, before drawing his own blaster, pivoting, and firing at the offending Vong, his cape swirling behind him. The red blaster bolt, amplified by the internal mechanics of Siv's blaster, impacted and burnt a hole through the Yuuzhan Vong's head with a much more satisfying thud.

He could feel the spot on his back where the bugs had impacted -- that would probably be sore for at least a week, if Siv had to guess. Internally groaning, he began to continue through the dense bio-growths, delving deeper into the floor in search of the Spire's turbolifts.

Pushing through bio-growths, shooting down the occasional Yuuzhan Vong warrior or mutation that popped up. . . the journey couldn't have been long, but it definitely felt way longer than it actually was. But at long last, Siv and whoever was with him arrived at what was unmistakable for the central turbolift situation. Siv raised his arm to try and get a hold of Reeve, but it seemed that the C'ati was already on top of it, saying that power should be up soon through a crackle of static. "Good," was Siv's simple reply.

Then the massive roar shook again, coming from the same source that had likely produced the first roar when they'd entered. One thud. Not of a Yuuzhan Vong biot. But the vibration of a massive creature's footfall. Another thud. Siv's hand curled more tightly around the grip of his blaster. He'd only encountered one Vong creation that would be large enough to make that noise. Last time it had almost killed him. This time?

It wouldn't get the chance.

"Incoming!" Siv shouted, before grabbing a flash-bang from his belt and heaving it at the lumbering Vong Ogre. Once it would go off, the blinding flash would hopefully be enough to stun the nearly-blind beast, exposing its mouth and by proxy its only weakness -- shooting out its insides.

Well at least Siv was maintaining his persona as a man of few words. All Reeve got in response to his report was a “Good”. But, he had a job to do and didn’t require an update himself. It didn’t sound like they were in trouble so they’d either dealt with any opposition or the opposition had never shown up. For such a large structure that was obviously taken over by the Vong years and years prior, there was a staggeringly low amount of security. That little nugget very much did not sit well with him.

But that was a potential problem for later. Right now, the issue at hand was restoring power to the Spire.

Before him, was a room full of old computer consoles separated from a massive cylindrical turbine tower by a safety rail leading to a catwalk. Most of the room, the consoles and tower itself were covered in green vines and muck.

Ziggy did a quick scan of the tower and returned the model information to his HUD and Reeve whistled to himself.

“Vesper systems model Aurek-242. Not bad clan Kyron, not bad at all.”

He immediately ran through troubleshooting each line of power in order. Console was dead due to lack of external power. Backup systems had long since expired. Removing the panel to examine the console innards revealed that most of the circuitry was still in workable shape as the panels themselves kept most of the shrubbery out.

“Okay Ziggy, looks like a manual reset is in order. The 242’s were pretty resilient for their time. But it’s been a minute since this monster was active. Lets see if we can work some magic, huh buddy?”

The digital Mando on his HUD laced its fingers together and there was an audible crack in Reeve’s speakers.

Reeve vaulted the safety railing and carefully but quickly making his way across the catwalk toward the maintenance ring of the turbine. Some of the catwalk and quite a bit of the turbine itself was covered in the same muck and vine work as much of the rest of the sub station. But Reeve was able to pick his way to the access panel without too much trouble.

He flicked a few switches and yanked back on the hard reset lever three times to try and spark a reaction in the ignition system. A glimmer of hope was all he received however, as the turbine attempted to start, but made a low clacking sound instead and remained still.

Reeve flicked back the seconds in his memory to replay the sound and mentally worked through possible issues before coming to the only conclusion that made sense.

“Dank Farik… No spark. No spark means the circuit is interrupted, likely on the control board right about-” He ran his palm along the surface of panel coverings like a lover looking for a tickle spot, “Here.”

Reaching behind him into his belt, Reeve retrieved a miniature auto ratcheting tool and removed the covering next to the access panel. Inside were a series of control blades that ran the internal systems of the much larger system. He immediately saw the issue as his eyes rested on a large growth of bio organic material on one of the control blades.

His hands moved as though they were running on one of the programs he’d written. Unlocking the control blade and removing the entirety of it, growth and all, and haphazardly tossing it over his shoulder into the grand abyss leading down and down and down. Then, with those same practiced hands, he disconnected some of the power leads and hot-wired the board into a quick bypass.

An enraged roar filled the turbine shaft in a soul stuttering bellow. Reeve looked up, startled. But shook his head quickly. He couldn’t do anything about it right now. Focus on the job.

After tightening down the connection he shifted back over to the restart handle and yanked on it twice.

“And then the Maker said there would be light... “ and with the third tug, the boards fired and the spark started the internal combustion needed to power the turbine. Almost immediately, systems began flaring to life, coughing and sputtering for sure. But powering up all the same. Lights all over the Spire flickered on.

“And it was goooood,” he mused.

He shuffled quickly back over to the main console, now full of sweet power. Reeve yanked a lead from his tech gauntlet and jacked it into the droid interface port of the console. “Zig. What kind of security are we looking at?” The connector began spinning back and forth as his VI accessed the network.

-Security protocols are level Zeta. Well beyond galactic standard and archived measures from clan Kyron.-

Reeve smirked to himself and began typing away at keys on the console before him. “Okay Kyron. Let’s see what you’ve got. Ziggy, you soften them up and I’ll kick in their teeth. Uhhhh use breach protocol 34, we are in a hurry. Nothing fancy.”

Ziggy’s avatar held up his wrist in front of a brick wall that materialized before him and some pixelated flames burst from the gauntlet, scorching the wall black. With a few more keystrokes, Reeve was past the firewall. “Tricky! You guys were good. But I am better.” The avatar cackled a little and kicked the wall into smoking ruin as Reeve finished up. Breach 34 was a digital scorched earth tactic. The security network would be a barren wasteland when they went to look back at it and his digital footprint would be all over it. But he wasn’t trying to hide his presence anyway. He did find it interesting that such an ancient clan had security measures well beyond their apparent technological means though.

“Give me admin level security access codes for the entirety of the Spire and connect to their wireless network hub.”

-Admin codes retrieved. Wireless strength: Green.-

<”Power is on boys and girls. I’m heading your way, turbolifts are up and running. What floor am I getting off on?”>

“Alright Zig, we’re on the move.”

With that, Reeve Bralor took off at a steady trot toward the turbolift, pulling both blasters from his shoulder holsters and flicked the safety's off.

<"Hello, Hello and hello~"> Aloy chuckles in response to Talohn's many greetings while standing to get a better idea of the situation <"It's good to see you in armor with the rest of us, And happy to have your keen mind as well. Stick by your friend here, I'd like to see both of you standing after this, And maybe drinking">

The smoke would make this next push easy, She thought. ::You heard 'em strikehammer! Stack on the droid, Breach an' clear on smoke!:: She orders over the commlink while making a dash for the droid's rough position.

Explosive bug-pellets shone as they hit the snow around her, Most missing as the suppressing fire from her comrades worked it's magic, Though one hit her breastplate, Leaving a tiny scorch mark as she ducked into cover.
Damnit

It wasn't long after that she caught sight of Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae landing in the distance, Her iconic green and black lekku impossible to miss. And so the commlink came again ::Long time no see, Sis in-law! We're popping smoke on the building soon enough, Be ready::

With that done, She waited for the suppresing fire against her position to fade, Listening carefully for the detonation of the smokes.
The wait wasn't long, And she swerved out of cover with her pistols raised, Activating her thermal vision as the droid "Madlad" fired off a round of smoke into the building, Blinding the enemy.

Her jetpack carries her quickly from the ground to a blown out wall a floor or two up, Where she immediately unleashes havoc with her particle pistols against the blinded Chaztach who's frantic melee meant little in the veil of smoke.

Once the remaining Chazrach had been dealt with on her floor, She took a moment to scan above and below her for more which may cause trouble should the smoke clear before they are eliminated.
It was during this scan that she stumbled upon a blown out window where the smoke had cleared, Revealing the dockyard just ahead and the Chazrach mixed with Vongese warriors that guarded the key to the mind forge.

Mixed in with these warriors among the shipping crates and makeshift barricades was a particularly worn looking vong of the warrior caste, Covered in many scars with scorch marks on his armor. He was shouting at someone else on very roof of this building, Who immediately turned to relay the orders to someone else.

Figuring that the others would soon be through with the floors below her, Aloy decided to take the quick flight to the roof through holes and collapsed floors until she had reach the very top, Immediately dispatching the roof-dwelling vong with her knuckle-blade.
It was then that she caught sight of more Chazrach and warrior caste, Moving unseen in the ravine behind the landing zone...

::"We're being flanked! Clear the building and take up defensive positions, The rest of us will take the key from their damned commander!"::

She was ever grateful for her legs being enhanced like they were, she was to the combat within a few minutes as she slid to a stop as she heard a all to familiar voice that stardust was glad sounded more friendlier then their last meeting

sucuy gar to you too aloy, I'll take up the rear seeing as im coming in a little late make sure no stragglers if you even left any decided to get bold

She unclipped her helmet and slipped it on, lekku armor slid out and sealed with a click as that cold T visor with the gold trim stared forth as she spun her blasters and used the 360° view to her advantage. Switching it back to the front she felt something moving rapidly towards her and put a blaster down and swung her body around to smash her fist right into the chazrachs face and watched it cave in slightly as she kept going forward as another came from the other side and was given the full force of her her wrist smashing into its neck with a sickening snap

their desperate, sending this many chazrachs to fight instead of warriors means their warriors are low or at more important points

She stopped just outside the door, she felt a large signature moving just behind her and turned right as aloy spoke, taking her buyce off she let a chuckle out and rolled her neck as she spoke

you pick off anything getting past me yeah? I think these ferfeks need a lesson in what a dragons capable of

She took large steps, blasters going up as her signature Sabers came out and activated grinding against the ground as she chuckled and then started laughing darkly. Coming around to the ravine stardust spotted the would be attackers and smiled

-blasphemous fools! You follow a shaper who leads to the path of damnation! You must be wiped out -

She spoke in Vongese, taking a deep breath the air around her rippled with heat before she blew forward and sent a wave of hot flame down the ravine, it sounded like a roar of a dragon as the flames would reach out towards its targets

Leea had barely touched the ground before others came to her support, much to the soldier's chagrin. She berated herself under her breath as she collected herself, "Blast and damnation, you've dealt with bigger stuff before. Why were you unprepared, bigger gun bigger kick!" Having concluded the brief remonstration, she gratefully accepted Aloy's proffered hand. "Thanks, hopefully it won't be the last."

As the plan moved forward, people pushing up to Madlad where they began a veritable blaze of fire, Leea found herself just a little hesitant. Yet as the enemy fire tracked the various Mandos, she found herself suddenly free from harassment, if only temporarily. Calling out to the little R2 unit, whose destiny was that of doom whether the team found success or failure, the Mirialan stayed close to the droid, moving from rubble and metal as she escorted the little package onwards after the main group.

"Come on, just keep going. The big guys up front will clear the path, I'll just pick up the stragglers." As she spoke a Chazrach warrior, perhaps separated from its group, or more sinisterly planning a flank on the Mandos, crept through the rubble nearby. Leea put her hand on the droid and dropped to her knees, just barely allowing one eye to watch the enemy continue on. It must have been oblivious to her presence, distracted by the sudden jetpack from Aloy entering the building. Whatever the reason, Leea waited and slowly raised her rifle once the creature had passed and was moving in towards the others. It fell with a single blaster shot square in the back, followed swiftly by a similar shot.

Retiring from the piece of cover she ushered for Firecracker to move on. "Got to catch up." As they came near, she noticed another person had joined the group, a mando by the looks of it. "Well, at least there's a lot of armour around here. Maybe the Vong will stay focused on them." Leea quickly stepped up the assaulted building, making sure the little loaded astromech followed. Once it was safely inside, with whoever else had decided to push and hold the building, perhaps she should have paid more attention to those who had secure the structure.

The comms blasted with a warning from the commander and Leea's gaze shifted to the rear. She found herself a spot near a window. She stood back from the gaping hole, putting her back against something dark so she wouldn't be displayed quite so easily on the background. As a new voice spoke stating that the Twi'lek would handle the flankers, Leea responded by asking whoever was near, "Do you think she might need help? Seems a bit crazy just to let her fight alone." Of course, that might give them enough time to set up some more serious barricades, but Leea was uncertain if they would be able to defend a built with so many blown entrances and potential attack points.

Tahlah finished making her way over to the Alor's position. Kranak, Darsch, and a few others she have never met before were there already or talking on the comms. The job was still going, and while the others were talking to each other, the young Nautolan continued blasting away at the Vong coming towards them. Eventually, the Alor mentioned breaching. Aloy gave orders to follow in with the droid, and after some more conversing with fellow Mandalorians, she blasted off. Tahlah nodded promptly when the Alor stated the orders, and blasted off soon after with her rocket boots.

By the time Aloy made the mention of the flanking maneuver, it was too late for Tahlah to shift her course for the building. With full speed, she careened towards one of the windows on the second or third floors on the other side from where the hole was made. Soon after that plan came into her head, she smashed through the window with pistols drawn. The Vong on that end were sending off sensations of a more primal and foreign aggression that what she was used to detecting from other beings in the galaxy. The new sensations intrigued her, but she had a job to do. As the chazrachs in this room charged forward, she cut them down. First was square in the chest, second in the throat, third took two shots to the body, and then the last she missed and hit the knee causing that Vong to fall to the ground for a second. Noticing the error, Tahlah holstered her right pistol, and drew her vibroblade. As she ran over from that brief pause, the young Nautolan then skewered the stragglers head from the back.

She then cleaned off her blade with the cloth joint of the beskar armor on her left arm, then sheathed it to draw the right pistol again. She then made her way slowly out of the room only to see a more experienced warrior commanding others. That was the Alor's target from the orders it seemed. She thus avoided that room, and turned down a different hall slowly. Clearing out the rest of this building was a task she could certainly accomplish. She continued down the hall to start checking rooms one by one. First door; there were only 2 chasrachs. She unloaded in there, and mad her way to the next room. While briskly walking she said, in a short and relatively monotone manner, "Tahlah, reporting position on the second or third floor on the other side from the breach. Proceeding to clear out remaining rooms-over."

She then opened up to the next room to find it empty, yet her sense picked up some more coming from down the hall.

Mig eyes the Vong in front of him before turning his Trayc’kad lightsaber on him again, this time aiming for the neck, and using the blade’s weight to break his way to a victory. Mig then looked back, hearing Vren mention falling back. He nodded, quickly following and shutting the blades off before hearing back.

He looked at Vren, nodding a little as he spoke.

“That advice is all well and good Vod, but not everyone here’s a great shot. I’ll make sure to slice their heads though.” He then slowly moved ahead, looking back at the others before speaking up again.

“They’re hard to track, so don’t even try. Just keep the mission in sight, and deal with what comes.” As they continued, he’d look back ahead, closing his eyes and taking a breath. He couldn’t sense the Vong, no Force Wielder could, but he could still try and sense their objective. Yes he could only do so much on that front, but it could help.

“Come on. This shouldn’t be too hard to find....”

Kale listened to both Vren and Mig and nodded to both of them. Mig was right between the heat and the fact that they were in the Vong's lair, they were indeed hard to spot prior to them springing an ambush. Even motion sensing and wall penetrating radar were limited in effectiveness but it was what they had. And as Mig said, they had an objective to achieve. A quick evaluation of the pitched battle they just fought told Kale several things. Their armor was highly effective in countering blaster fire and standard melee attacks, so the key to victory in battle was getting around their armor; exploiting the seams between the armor plates. Going for the head and neck seemed to be the most effective strategy so that is what Kale would go for. As the moved to proceed Kale chose to have a blaster pistol in his right hand and a vibroknife in the other with the blade itself in reverse grip pointed outward. Kale's gaze began sweeping from left to right and back looking for any detail or indication of presence of the enemy laying in wait.

Not long after Talohn told the plan, he gave the order. "<Madlad, deploy smokes!>" The droid's cackle echoes throughout the sounds of battle on the field as it pulls the grenade launcher off of it's back, putting it over it's shoulder. It's more like a missile launcher than a grenade launcher. Likely one of Talohn's crackpot designs. "SUFFER." The droid howls as it begins firing the launcher. That distinct 'SHUNK' noise can be heard repeatedly as the launcher fires twelve shots. Each shot implants itself into the surface of the building where the snipers are hiding, sticking into the wall. Madlad presses a single button on the side of the launcher, and all the smokes go off. The pressure of the explosions is increased due to being implanted ion the surface, making the explosions bigger and sending the smoke further. A few snipers are knocked out of their nests due to the blast. Those that aren't knocked off are curreently choking on smoke. The explosion also creates more entry points.

Talohn meanwhile, stuck close to Leea. Since this was a charge, he needed more bullets than his pistol provided. Thus, he pulled up the TDW HARM he had slung over his left shoulder. The wrist shield on his left arm activated as his hand went to the foregrip, shielding most of his head as he aimed down the gun's sights. He remained in front of Leea, letting her handle the stragglers while he took the brunt of the force. Shots echo as he fires the slugthrower over and over in small bursts, mowing down every vong that dares to be in his line of sight. Any bullet with danger of hitting Leea, he blocks with the wrist shield, and he dodges any other, as if he's got a sixth sense of some sort telling him how to dodge. Leea would know that's the force at work. The vong are getting a bit much for Talohn, Were it he himself, he could handle them, but he was stuck where he was to guard Leea. He speaks into the comms once again. "<Madlad, you up to give a little support?>" A dark chuckling is heard on the other end of the comms in response. The whole team can hear this droid, and it's obvious lack of sanity.

The droid pops up from it's position in cover, uppercutting a vong who was about to vault into the hidey hole and attack the droid. The vong screams, doing at least two backflips before hitting the ground with a collection of sickening cracks. "I'm in such a damn good mood today." The droid says in a relaxed tone. It takes a few moments for the droid's scanners to find Talohn and Leea. Upon spotting them, the droid fully pulls itself out of cover. It's legs and arms invert, like a certain terrifying droid from a time long past, and it begins scuttling at blurring speed, the hydraulics in it's arms and legs allowing it to easily leap any obstacle. One vong gets hit by the scuttling droid, and is dragged under it, clawed fingertips tearing the poor fellow apart as the droid runs it over. The droid arrives at Leea and Talohn's position, making a terrifying entrance as always. As it arrives, it's arms and legs go back to normal as it transitions once again to being bipedal. A vong turns to face Madlad just in time to be grabbed by the back of the head and pulled down to be slammed into the droid's metal kneecap, causing a terrible sloshing noise as the head cracks like a watermelon. Before the rest can react, Madlad pulls out the shotgun once again, blasting the foes blocking Talohn's path into multiple chunks with that 8 guage shotgun.

With the droid having wiped the floor with the surrounding foes, Talohn passes Madlad. The droid follows behind Leea, guarding her rear. Once they're in the building, the enemies have been cleared out by the other mandos, allowing Talohn a moment to catch his breath. He also takes the time to reload his gun, inserting a new magazine. He also wipes the blood of the barrel of his weapon real quick. Before he can get sucked into more weapons maintenance, he gets a message. Seems they were being flanked. "Madlad, you go help the dragon ripe and tear.. I'm going to set up here."

Upon hearing 'rip and tear', it's single eye lense begins glowing red. Madlad jumps out of the very window Leea was about to start peeking from, arms and legs inverting as it starts to scuttle once again towards the enemy horde. A few step back in horror as they hear the droid's demented laughs.

Talohn heads to the window beside the one Leea set up in, and pulls two specific items from the pack on his back. A bipod and a drum mag. He attaches the bipod to the barrel of his gun, and leans it on the window before unloading his current magazine and inserting the massive drum mag. It was time for accuracy by volume. The final touch? He takes out a stealth field generator and presses the activation button before tossing it between he and Leea, making both them and their equipment disappear from sight. The battle itself would hide the sound of their weapons. Due to it being a field, they could still see themselves since they were within the bubble, allowing them to still aim their weapons. "LMG MOUNTED AND LOADED. WOOOOO-" It's not long before Talohn's screams of pure excitement are mixed with relentless machine gun fire. He generally aims at torso level, ripping up the insides of any vong that tries to advance on the building. He also aims for the vong around Madlad. They're shot down as the droid distracts them, allowing Madlad to carve through the group to arrive by the Dragon. Once it's by her, the droid stands up to it's full height once again, two viroblades falling from it's wrists to be caught in it's hands. Slicing a vong straight in half with one blow, it speaks to Stardust. "I am Backup."

"Thanks!" Leea yelled to Talohn as the stealth field rose. At least now it was even less likely she would be a target. Yet this proved a fruitless measure, the Mirialan held off firing for a moment as the roar of her employer's machine gun caused a mild buzzing in her head. Adjusting to the sound she had not heard in quite some time, Leea began to fire. Or at least, she planned to, the combined efforts of the various allies in the field frustrated every attempt to sight in an enemy. Each fell before she could release a shot, sometimes a mere moment before the pull of the trigger at others it was as she brought the scope to bear.

"Don't stress about it." She ordered herself as she slowly lowered the rifle and watched as the onslaught unfolded. It took a few moments before the pilot realized just what was happening and her eyes quickly fell away. Turning with an almost mechanical abruptness she took a few steps, calling over her shoulder, "Seems you've got this Talohn. I'll... go clear rooms. Come on Firecracker." With only a momentary glance, she walked towards one of the staircases, droid in tow.

Leea found a smaller room, it might once have been a janitor's closet, next to the stairway and stepped inside, rifle barely raising enough to point at the lower half of the wall she bashed in and dropped the gun before propping herself up against the wall. She desperately tried to control her rapid, irregular breathing. The little R2 unit rumbled lethargically over to rest next to her, letting out a drawn-out questioning warble. Breathless, she responded, "I'll assume... you're asking if I'm alright... I'm fine... really." Wrestling with memories of war before her piloting days, Leea desperately wanted fresh air. But perhaps her subconscious was still cognizant enough to decide that was a foolish path, with enemies abounding as they were. Firecracker emitted a low mournful tone, which ended abruptly with an erratic staccato note jumping several pitches, its head spinning lackadaisically to point back at the doorway.

Breaking her concentration, Leea felt a wave of relief as her breathing regulated and all she could was smirk at the little bucket o' bomb. Still not certain what it was trying to say she nonetheless answered, "Yeah you're right. This is no time to mope." She carefully pulled her hands away from the wall, testing her balance after that little episode. Satisfied with the result, Leea moved quickly, lifting her rifle from the floor and stepping back into the main area. The bark of the machine gun continued unabated and Leea guessed she might have been in there only a few moments, though it sure felt longer. Nearly tripping over Firecracker as it wobbled forward, Leea smirked at the droid as it stopped a few seconds later and turned its head to check on her. "Alright little guy, let's try upstairs. Probably still some enemies up there. Think you can make it up the stairs?" There was a delay before the droid released a slurry of squawks before turning and trundling towards the stairway. "I'll take that as a yes." Leea jumped ahead, brushing past the droid to take point as she pushed the door open and started up the stairs. The Mirialan allowed herself to take in the quiet for a moment, sounds from outside dampened by the thick permacrete and durasteel construction. Her rhythmic footfalls seemed to echo, but there was no response as near as she could tell. Reaching the next floor, Leea glanced back to check on the droid, which was methodically pulling itself up a step at a time, before knocking the door open and stepping in with her rifle ready to fire.

The room beyond seemed fairly normal, excluding the two Chazrach piling rubble over a particular spot on the floor. Both looked with something akin to surprise as the soldier stepped in and both responded with a rapidity that belied their stature. One with a deep ragged scar down his scaly muzzle moved to grab a piece of organic matter off of a nearby table, while the other, whose eyes seemed to bulge from their sockets rather comedically, pulled some cruelly shaped knife and charged Leea. Believing the first to going for a gun she fired two shots in its direction, though the creature hastily withdrew its hand a moment before the shots burned through the air, slamming into the table and wall. This warrior stepped back and dashed through a doorway, leaving its comrade to finish the enemy.

Leea retreated as the other Chazrach charged with its dagger, jumping back as it swiped at her abdomen. Her footing disappeared as she tripped back through the doorway she had entered and watched helplessly as she slipped down the stairs, ending flat on her back with a pained grunt, rifle clattering away. Firecracker whistled irritatedly from the loft, sitting next to the door as the Chazrach pushed through. With all too evident glee, the creature raised its knife and lunged forward with a cry. Firecracker began to roll at the same moment, its little lead wheel caught the reptoid's cumbersome foot and the latter fell forwards, tipping the R2 over in the process. The lizard rolled down the stairs, with many a crack and bump before landing right where Leea had been, the Mirialan rolling to the side mere moments before.

Pushing herself quickly to a kneeling position, Leea watched the Chazrach. It seemed to be only momentarily incapacitated, as it began to twitch and move, its hands seemingly searching for the hilt of its weapon. Without thinking, Leea grasped the blade, which felt strangely organic and brought it down on the reptilian head. The blow was immediate and final, as the hardened edge of the dagger pierced through the carapace and bones of the stunned Chazrak. As if the living blade realized it was not being wielded by its master, it belatedly softened and tried to swivel out of the soldier's firm grip. Leea remained still for a moment, adrenaline coursing through her veins as she waited to see if the enemy yet lived. It became apparent however that the Chazrach was finished and her attention immediately returned to the mission. Leea turned for her gun, absentmindedly stuffing the eel into her pocket where she once kept a knife.

Leaping up the stairs she rested her rifle on the wall and fought to lift Firecracker upright. "Pleasedon'tgooffpleasedon'tgooff. Firecracker you still in there?" The metal head a little dented from the fall, and one of the coloured lights shattered rolled back and forth listlessly, the R2 nonetheless released a forceful twittering. Leea raised her hands, smiling, "Yes you saved my life. I owe you one. Let's go hunt down his buddy huh. Maybe you can take him down yourself." She stepped through the doorway feeling a mixture of chagrin and annoyance at these enemies. She found the room much as she had left it, the organic thing remained and Leea cautiously touched it with the end of her rifle. It did not respond. Gazing at the pile of rubble, so arbitrarily placed, Leea noticed no holes above it, and yet there was something that looked like a Vong weapon of sorts underneath. It was not particularly large, but it seemed quite specifically placed. Looking at the doorway to the stairs, Leea counted the steps. Leea started and spoke over the comms. "Hey, Talohn? Maybe move to a new spot. I think someone upstairs figured where you were, there's a lot of rubble and probably a bomb sitting over your head. To anyone else clearing the building, I've got a runner somewhere on the second floor. Didn't see any armaments on him, but he might have other friend hiding around." As if the mere mentioned had jinxed it, Leea heard a commotion in an adjacent room.

The thud-bugs hit Siv just as Obran was yelling a warning. The other reacted swiftly despite what the shocktrooper knew would be a lingering and painful experience with muscle damage that would linger for weeks likely. But he was already moving as Siv raised and fired, and the spear in his hands was hurtled with frightening accuracy, spearing the other Vong through the guts. Moments later, the smith dispatched the screaming bastard with a brutal chop of his beskad to its throat, covering his armor in a spray of viscera and gore, ichor coating his helmet so that he had to wipe a bit clean for his HUD to display a proper view.

Yanking his spear from the guts of the defeated foe, he advanced at Siv's six, and took it upon him to guard his vod's back as they made their way forward to the goal in mind. Comms chatter went back and forth, but the warrior stayed silent, not having anything other than muscle and backup to contribute. His thoughts still came slow and fogged, but he hadn't told anyone that, and the surgery that had been done in the field to keep his concussed brain running his body had a toll he didn't quite know, let alone had fully paid yet.

As the roar sounded, Obran wheeled and began unloading his slughthrower at the ogre as it made itself known. Concentrated fire on the upper torso would piss it off, and moments later his HUD darkened with a blink-command to the pineal system as a flash bang sailed out and detonated. The monster before him roared, and swiped blindly, stumbling to where Obran had been moments before. A swipe that might have ended him, and surely taken him out of the fight.

But the goran was on the move. His propulsion systems whine as he flew straight at the beast from the back, having slipped behind it. Mounting it like for a celebratory piggy back ride, he grabbed it along the brow-ridge the heavy headed foe had, and the crushgaunts on his hands kicked in as he began to squeeze, pinching nerves and cracking skull and brow bone. Siv would have the kill shot as the muscled smith yanked up on the forehead and stabbed down with his beskad, effectively pinning the lower jaw to it's chest with his sword, leaving the mouth gaped open and the thing roaring in pain as it tried to reach behind it, rooted to the spot in fury and determination to dispatch Obran.

"Siv, hit it again! NOW!"

<"I gotcha vod! You're kicking shebs, Don't let up!">
[“Who said I was letting up?”] he replied to Aloy, followed with a chuckle.

An ear splitting shriek bellowed with each pull of Aloy’s pistols while she returned fire to those Vong that had pinned him down. She was shooting very rapidly with the pair of blasters. “Too rapid for a blaster pistol.” he thought to himself while he checked for how much ammunition he had left in his current magazine. He wondered how she could shoot so fast.

He saw he had half a magazine worth of shots remaining after checking the magazine. “Should do me fine for a little while.” he thought to himself as he inserted the magazine back into the magwell and peeked over his cover to return fire at the Vong troops.

Peeking from his cover as soon as he was no longer suppressed, Kranak disintegrated several more Vong with each gentle pull of the disruptor rifle’s trigger. They bellowed in agony before they were reduced into nothing but piles of ash when a disruptor shot struck them.

After another brief exchange of shots between the Mandalorians and the Vong forces, the Mandalorians’ landing zone was cleared from enemy presence. After regrouping from the firefight, the strike team proceeded onwards with their mission, making their way towards the derelict city where the Vong Worldship would be.

Kranak was pulling rear security in the tactical formation they had assumed while they made their way towards the city. He scanned every crevice and boulder while keeping his eyes on the heights around them. Occasionally, he was checking the vital signs of his fellow vode on his HUD. Some of their heart rates were elevated, most certainly from the rush of combat and adrenaline, but they were all within acceptable parameters.

<"Strikerhammer; We got reptoids in the building ahead! Take their overwatch and take the high ground!">

“Reptoids? What in the kark is that?” he wondered while springing into action, taking cover first and then returning fire. He would be providing overwatch for the vode that would be advancing. New enemy contacts were spotted garrisoning a derelict skyscraper. Thanks to the courtesy of his clan Alor, their exact locations were marked on their helmets’ HUD. He started opening fire at the Vong warriors that carried ranged weapons as soon as they peeked out of their cover.

These Reptoids as Aloy called them, reminded them of Trandoshans, but they were much shorter compared to them. And they were fighting alongside the Vong. The giant had much to learn about the Vong. He didn’t know the Vong utilized enslaved species like the Reptoids to fight in their wars of conquest of the galaxy.

The Ori’ramikad sensed movement from his left flank while he fired. He gave a glance to see what it was, turning his head to the left. He saw the Mirialan on the ground on her back. A moment later, Aloy jetpacked to her aid, extending her hand to help the Mirialan get up. He saw Talohn also slid down the ridge and sprinted towards Aloy and Leea, after blasting a number of Vong and Reptoids with his 14mm pistol.

[“Amateurs…”] The giant murmured to himself in a low tone as he shook his head in disapproval to the Mirialan while directing his attention back at the enemy contacts positioned inside the deteriorating skyscraper. With each pull of the trigger, more Vong disintegrated. But this time the Vong weren’t suppressing him. Instead, they were focusing their efforts on Madlad, a combat droid. The droid was taking a lot of heat from the Vong warriors.

He was momentarily distracted by a friendly gunship flying overhead while he was trying to get the pressure off the combat droid by returning accurate fire at the Vong Warriors. The boarding ramp at the rear of the gunship was open, and a human-like female silhouette jumped out of it, about hundred and fifty meters away from the strike team’s position, to their rear. Moments after jumping out of the gunship, the new unknown contact activated their jetpack to slow her descent and land on her feet. Not a moment after the silhouette made contact with the ground, she activated her lightsaber and unholstered a blaster pistol from her hip holster. The lightsabers glowed in a bluish white hue upon activation. That was The Green Hand herself! The giant Ori’ramikad wasn’t expecting to see her in this conflict. This was surely a pleasant surprise!

::You heard 'em strikehammer! Stack on the droid, Breach an' clear on smoke!::

[“I got you covered, you can push up!”] Kranak replied as he inserted a fresh magazine into the disruptor rifle’s magazine well and started to either disintegrate or pin down the enemy contacts garrisoned in the structure, protecting the groups advance. Madlad fired off a dozen smoke grenade rounds into the target building, effectively preventing the garrisoned forces from firing accurately at the advancing strike team, all the while creating new entry points on the building itself as the smoke rounds penetrated through the already weakened ferroconcrete walls. With the cover of smoke, as well as the covering fire from the giant Ori’ramikad, the strike team swiftly covered the distance to the skyscraper. They were preparing to breach into the building now.

Seeing as the group were at the entrance of the skyscraper, Kranak assumed he was clear to regroup with the strike team inside the building and help them clear out the structure. A series of loud and violent blaster fire erupted from within the building not moments after the strike team breached in while Kranak made his way to the skyscraper. He assumed The Green Hand would be bringing up the rear as he sprinted towards the entrance, the snow and rubble beneath his armored boots crunched and crumbled loudly as he darted towards the building.

His commlink crackled to life mid way towards the derelict building.

::"We're being flanked! Clear the building and take up defensive positions, The rest of us will take the key from their damned commander!"::
It was Aloy shouting the next set of orders, but she didn’t call in where the new contacts were coming from exactly.

[“Interrogative, can you give me a direction-”] he inquired, but the Mandalorian was interrupted by the sound of a vicious, fiery roar; coming from the rear. [“Disregard my last!”]

It was The Green Hand engulfing the Vongese warriors in flames. He thought of lending her a hand but it was apparent that she was more than capable of handling the enemy reinforcements by herself. The giant assumed it was best to regroup with the strike team inside the building and take up defensive formations with the rest of the strike team.

He was at the entrance of the skyscraper. He was about to enter the building but he stopped to look behind as he sensed something leap out of the windows a few floors above him. It was the combat droid “Madlad”, making a mad dash towards the enemy reinforcements coming from their original landing zone in the ravine, a maniacal cackle escaping the droids vocabulator as it sprinted to help The Green Hand. The giant Ori’ramikad almost felt sorry for what was about to happen to those Vongese warriors and Reptoids. Those chakaare wouldn’t be long for this world, now that Madlad went to aid Stardust with her effort to neutralize the enemy reinforcements.

[“Entering the skyscraper now, check your fire.”] Quickly directing his attention back at the skyscraper, Kranak entered the structure with his disruptor rifle raised with his guard up; scanning the room for any hostile contacts. The firefight was still ongoing on the upper floors of the skyscraper. He could easily hear the blaster fire coming from above. It was somewhat sporadic and sounded muffled, but they echoed strongly nonetheless.

The entrance floor was a mess. There were a large number of lifeless Reptoid bodies scattered around. Their wounds were all gruesome. Almost all of them had large, gaping blaster holes on their chests. Some of the bodies were missing their limbs, either torn apart or sheared off by powerful blasters; dark crimson blood pooled around them, some splattered on the walls and the ceiling. It was like a slaughterhouse.

"Tahlah, reporting position on the second or third floor on the other side from the breach. Proceeding to clear out remaining rooms-over."

[“Roger that, vod.”] Kranak replied, as he made his way towards the staircase and started to ascend the floors. The first floor had a scene similar to that of the entrance floor. Bunch of lifeless Vong and Reptoid corpses lying around, lit up by powerful, high caliber blasters. He spotted Talohn posted up by a window overlooking the path that lead to their landing zone with an LMG; the bipod of the gun rested on the window frame, with Talohn manning the gun. With each pull of the trigger, Talohn unleashed long winded salvos, targeting the Vong reinforcements and supporting Madlad and Stardust. He looked like he was having the time of his life.

He then heard Leea’s voice over the commlink not too long after he reached the first floor of the skyscraper.

"Hey, Talohn? Maybe move to a new spot. I think someone upstairs figured where you were, there's a lot of rubble and probably a bomb sitting over your head. To anyone else clearing the building, I've got a runner somewhere on the second floor. Didn't see any armaments on him, but he might have another friend hiding around."

“A bomb? Wonderful…” he thought to himself, as he muttered a profanity to the Vong in Mando’a. The skyscraper was already in bad shape. Its structural integrity was questionable. He hoped the explosive device in question was not strong enough to collapse the structure altogether. But upon detonation, it could very well collapse a floor or two, if their structural integrity was weak enough.

He dismissed the thought with a slight shake of his head [“Understood, Leea. Moving to your position now.”] he said, while the Ori’ramikad moved towards the staircase to regroup with Leea one floor above. She said there was also an enemy contact somewhere at the same floor with her.

He ascended to the second level with his rifle raised with his head on a swivel, swiftly clearing multiple angles. It was relatively clear. His HUD indicated friendly contacts nearby; the walking payload and the Mirialan. He spoke to Leea after a quick glance at the two. [“Nice work. Where’s the second contact?”] Kranak then heard hurried pattering a moment after; something or someone moving from one of the nearby rooms on the floor as if an answer to his question.

The giant immediately turned towards the source of the sound with his rifle raised. The sounds were coming from behind the wall a few meters to his front. In a range this close, the rifle would prove to be unwieldy. It was safe to assume whatever was inside that room could lunge at him. With that in mind, he let go of the disruptor rifle to switch to his secondary. The rifle was suspended over his chest due to the single point rifle sling. The giant unholstered an A180 blaster pistol from his right Kama pistol holster with his right hand and continued with caution, keeping the barrel pointed towards the doorway of the room as he assumed a combat stance; both of his hands clasped around the grip tightly, the pistol seemingly becoming his extension.

The rubble crunched softly beneath his feet as he moved towards the room to clear it, passing by chunks of ferroconcrete debris and occasionally lifeless Reptoid and Vongese warrior bodies. He was close enough to the door frame to start clearing the angles in the room. The room appeared to be center-fed from his perspective while coming closer. He conducted a sweep of the room quickly with one swift action by moving from right to left, exposing himself as little as possible. The right and left far corners of the room, as well as his immediate front was clear. After making sure the aforementioned angles were clear, the Ori’ramikad then committed to clear the two remaining near corners of the room that he could not see. In one quick action, he leaned to his left and peeked into the room to clear the near right corner. It was clear.

Just as he was about to turn towards the near left corner, a Reptoid jumped him. The creature performed a rear naked chokehold. The Reptoid’s arm encircled the giant’s neck, grabbing its own bicep on the other arm. The Reptoid was trying to neutralize the Ori'ramikad by knocking him unconscious by stopping the air and blood flow to his brain. The giant had about ten seconds before the Reptoid succeeded.

In response to the unexpected melee encounter, Kranak first lowered his chin; bringing it as close to his chest as possible to make it harder for the attacker to succeed and buy himself more time. The giant tilted his head down and grabbed the Reptoids right arm that held his neck and grasped it tightly so the lizard couldn’t return back to its previous position on the giant’s neck. In a quick succession, the giant Ori’ramikad stepped forward, bringing his right feet in line and leaned forward and pulled the attacker off his back using his right arm, slamming the Reptoid to the wall in front of him with great force. The wall crumbled loudly as the lizard was flung through the wall. The creature fell on its back a few meters from the large hole the Ori’ramikad made, seemingly unconscious from the impact. The giant raised his blaster pistol and fired off two blaster bolts aimed at the creature to make sure it wasn’t going to get back up.

[“All clear here.”] Kranak said after an audible sigh, his chest heaving. [Report in, vode. Any of you hurt?”] The giant said over the commlink, wanting to make sure everyone was in good health. He did not spot any irregularities with the vital signs of his fellow vode, but it was in the nature of any combat medic to hear their status from their fellow brothers -or sisters- in arms.

He holstered his blaster pistol as he got out of the room through the large hole he made and switched back to his primary while approaching Leea. [“Where’s the bomb you speak of?”] He inquired to the Mirilian. He knew how to arm and disarm a number of conventional explosive devices thanks to his training but Vong mostly, if not always used biological equipment to do their work. With that in mind, that bomb would be anything but conventional. He didn’t think they’d be able to defuse it. The best course of action to take would be to ascend about half a dozen floors or more to get away from the explosive device’s fatality radius.

Once the initial opposition was dispatched Minerva silently advanced alongside her bethern. Swifty they eliminated the Vong and mutant creatures that tried to stop them. By that point Minerva’s armor took a few dents from thud bug shots and was feeling sore all over.

Underneath the helmet she gritted her teeth. No pain, no gain. Thought the warrior, quoting her late father. He often stressed that point throughout training. Finally the trio while hearing Reeve’s report about turning on the power reached the ruined room connected to the turbolift.

Without the roar from earlier rang out once more, louder this time. Then it was followed by a great vibration caused by a single fall. Minerva’s feet nearly gave way from the impact she beheld the cause of it. “By the ancestors!” Exclaimed the former founding at the massive orge.

That shock gave way to resolve as Siv and Obran engaged the monster. Activating her jetpack Minerva flew back on the left flank, firing several shots on side in an attempt to provide a diversion for her comrades. Then her helmet’s scanner picked up two Zong sharpshooters positioning themselves from the right side, at an opening above the Ogre and its Mandalorian foes.

Without hesitation she rockets toward them, firing several shots at the pair. The third bolt caught one sniper in the left armpit, causing him to fall to his death with a shriek. The second one angered by his comrade’s death leaped with a dagger in hand, latching on Minerva and causing to drop her rifle.

The young warrior grappled with the zealot in the air as they flew around. The Zong roared at her t-visor trying to press his blade to Minerva’s neck. Thinking fast she headbutt the foul being twice in the face. Stunned by the sudden blows the Zong loosened his grip before Minerva kicked him off of her. The gravity did the rest as the would-be ambusher fell head first breaking his neck meters behind the struggling orge that Obran and Siv were finishing off.

Well, that was a sure waste of ammo. Yeah, he expected a fair number of his blaster shots would miss; that's pretty much the entire reason there were so many of them. And while he'd only seen the effects that a point-blank burst had on their armour, it wasn't surprising that stray shots were harmlessly deflected; he'd already noted that during the skirmish. But he hoped that one of the stray shots would find it's way towards one of the Vong's unprotected heads; it was disappointment that none did.

He had to agree; tracking them just didn’t seem like a good idea whatsoever. After all, this was their territory; who knows what sort of trouble they might run into if they tread without caution. Besides, Mig put it aptly; these things weren’t their mission, but an obstacle in it’s way. There was no need to waste time on stuff that wasn’t important to do.

Thonn consolidated his ammo as they continued on. His blaster cannon had seen him through this battle, but given the effect of the Vong’s armour it might not be the best suitable weapon for further encounters. He had his carbine on him tucked away; further adjustment of his gear brought the slung weapon to his side. It was an E-11, and honestly not the most accurate of blasters: even for a carbine. Which was fine, as Thonn was honestly not the most accurate of shooters. If he missed shots, he could always employ his age-old solution for the problem:

Shoot more.

Stars sabers swung towards madlad, however she noticed who it was and grinned as she laughed and hopped over him to slice a foe down into three pieces

then we are two platoons worth! Move with me and flow like fire against them, they shall not pass!

With those words she was back to the fray, jumping into the midst of them as her blades sliced left and right that deadly edge cutting most of the weaker fodder down without issue at all. The main issue came when three warriors brave enough to face her head on came, she saw the staffs they wielding and new she had to keep her eyes on those serpents. Slicing her blades on the ground she made a line before her and stomped her foot before speaking to them in their language

-you follow a shaper, who wish to commit such crimes against your own people....to disregard what they believe....you've lost your way and I shall ensure you will see the consequences-

They roared out and charged her, she eagerly met them as she ducked under their staffs and started throwing bursts of fire to keep them back so she could engage one at a time each time before switching to the other, ones staff hissed and reached dout to bite her arm, glancing it's way she could see the surprise within the warriors eyes as the fanges got stuck in metal and wiring. Grabbing the staff she pulled it towards her and dug her saber right into the neck of the warrior as she spun and tossed him away lighting the staff ablaze while on her arm as she shook it a few times and tossed it away turning towards the other two who stepped back a few times as she grinned wickedly

oi madlad, take out the trash here will you please?

The three Mandalorians -- Siv, Obran, and Minerva -- were like a whirlwind of death unto themselves. When Siv had been a part of the first vanguard team to descend into Kestri, the ogre they had encountered had nearly gotten the best of a much larger and numerous fireteam. But experience evidently paid off, and it was evident that Obran and Minerva knew what they were doing. Obran fired his slugthrower at the Ogre's hip, angering the lumbering abomination, and a second later the flash-bang went off, illuminating the entire dark chamber with nearly-blinding light.

Siv's heads-up-display was able to anticipate the flash and quickly adjusted for the change in lighting, ensuring that he would not be debilitated by his own grenade. His plan was working so far, and in its blinding agony the Ogre took a massive swipe at the nearest thing to it, which was in this case Obran. Fortunately Obran was able to dodge and made a mad charge at the beast, vaulting over its back until he was sitting on its back, almost as if saddled to a beast of burden. It was obvious that Obran didn't mean to use the Ogre for transportation, as his crushguants instead dug into the beast's side, causing it to roar in agony.

It wouldn't be enough to kill it -- the Ogre's armor was tough enough that even crushgaunts wouldn't deal a lethal blow -- but what it did do was cause the Ogre to roar in pain, leaving a gaping-wide target for Siv. He lined up his TKO-20 Valiance Blaster Pistol, breathed, in, and out, then fired a salvo straight into its gullet, bypassing the Ogre's strong armor by going through its mouth and punching into the soft insides within. The roar became a gurgling scream, until the light from the Ogre's beady eyes faded and its massive carcass toppled to the ground. Siv held his blaster pistol aloft for a moment before holstering it, satisfied. It was opportune that at that moment, Reeve's voice came over the comms again, indicating that the turbolifts were working.

"Scratch that, Reeve," Siv responded. "Take the turbolift to the top. We'll meet you there." He turned to his other two fellow Mandalorians. "Shall we?" He rhetorically asked, stepping over to the turbolifts as a door to one of the turbolift cars slid open, the artificial light bright on the damp, Vong biot-infested floor. He stepped inside, waiting for his companions to join him before they would travel to the top. Hopefully in time to ensure that Reeve wasn't killed on sight by whatever forces were waiting for them there.
