Fleet:

''Admiral, all our ships are within range of the Sith Fleet. The two hypervelocity cannons are charged. We await your orders'' Nitso looked up from a datapad as she addressed Rhane. The Jedi stood up from his chair and looked around the battlefield, towards [member="Vanessa Vantai"] 's fleet. He observed the large Saturn class vessels, four to be exact, all within range of his fleet's weapons. He pointed to the two closest ones to the command ship.

''Those two.'' he said.

''Have two of the Umbara class Star Destroyers and two of the carriers attack each of them.'' Nitso copied down the information on the datapad. Rhane looked at the other vessels.

''Have they deployed any substantial amounts of starfighters?''

''Yes sir, they're heading towards the Wookie fleet's command vessel.''

''Move the five anti-starfighter vessels guarding our hypervelocity cannons ships towards the Gaaradiik to help shoot down those starfighters.''

''What do you want done about the hypervelocity canons?''

''Do we have lines of sight to the other two Saturn class vessels?''

''Yes.''

''Fire upon the other two Saturn class vessels.''

''Yes sir!'' Nitso turned and distributed the orders to each of the ships. In just a moment, each of the ships began their engagements and the hyper velocity guns fired their rounds at the Saturn class vessels. If there was sound in space, you could certainly heard Rhane's fleet.

Rhane picked up the communications device and connected into the Gaaradiik's command center.

''Commander Errreembuhr, this is Admiral Varless of the 7th fleet. I am dispatching several anti-starfighter vessels to your command vessel in order to deal with the heavy starfighter concentration around your ship.''

Orders:
Tenchu Class #1 firing hypervelocity gun at Saturn EX-B
Tench Cass #2 firing hypervelocity gun at Saturn EX-D

Umbara #1 and #2, Interdictor #1 and #2 attacking EX-C
Umbara #3 and #4, Interdictor #3 and #4 attacking EX-E

Essex Class #1-#5 guarding the hypervelocity guns move up to cover the Gaaradiik.
Essex Class #6-#10 continue guarding the Interdictor's and the Umbara class vessels.

Command Ship falls back to the rear of the formation.

((I haven't been targeted yet, but I assume I would've received some fire? So all my shields at at 80%-90%. I'll make a damage log next post.))

They might have 'already been dead', as the Bounty Hunter was so readily willing to label the Imperials as if it were nothing shy of the absolute truth. Yet, it wasn't. The Mandalorian had known too well that Sith often cared not for the individuals that comprised of their armies and more, but someone valued was considered exactly that. He couldn't afford to let one die, no, and in the event that he prevailed in his efforts there was sure to be more than initially promised to him in regards to compensation. It were credits that reigned supreme, and Fett only lusted for more- more than he could ever need nor desire, but it filled a hole that was otherwise caught perpetually open.

He witnessed the Solus from behind a T-Visor, his callous eyes bearing down as the rangefinder over his helmet had made use of it's targeting system, or systems. It was difficult to discern with the amount of gadgets that Mandalorian Armour possessed. Fett had raised his wrist, allowing the gauntlet to find itself in a rough line with the War Droid before unleashing a volley of missiles. It had been intended to strike the rear of it, avoiding Fordyce in an effort to keep them alive.

If only Koda had waited-- waited that tiny bit longer. Perhaps he could of seen the Raven make it's approach and the events that were to follow. It might've saved him all this effort, not garnering the ire of a War Droid either.

The bridge rumbled under the assault from the Sith. Luckily the Starchild's shield generators kept them from relative harm. A stray turbolaser blast bounced on the shields once more, this time rocking the bridge so hard that lights flickered. Pryce cursed under his breath.

The frigates were doing their job, keeping the fighters off of them, but the Starchild wasn't a fighter, it relied on its starfighters to do the talking for it, and right now they too were getting overwhelmed. He was getting reports of heavy damage to the Otoh Jai and heavy starfighter losses all around.

And then he got the call. Sith Ground Forces were retreating?

And then he understood why.

"Sir! We're reading more ships coming out of hyperspace!"

"More?"

The first few fell out of hyperspace and then one of thelargest ships he'd ever seen dropped out of hyperspace. It was the Hyperion Ascendant, one of the flagships of the Silver Jedi fleet, easily twice the length of the Starchild herself.

"Well I guess those Silvers know how to make an entrance." The bridge erupted into cheers.

In the time since [member="Reverance"] had separated the pair, Belphaegor had naturally moved on. The vista had changed since then, the prospects transformed. With the arrival of the Mandalorian Infidels, and the further bolstering of the rank-and-file forces of the alleged Jedi. The Maenan, with absolute clarity, saw no point hounding the Vong Beast any further. He most posolutely had not intention of chasing, pursuing one exchange of attack after another, particularly, at this juncture.

Had the thing wanted to fight, it would have chosen to do so.

Mayhap, in some way, it stood for the best. After all, what benefit would it provide either, should one of them fall? Especially now that [member="Alexandra Feanor"] was finding herself whisked away in the powerful arms of another. In due time, the Inquisitor and the Vong Beast might meet again. For now? His role seemed best served as a blaster sponge.

Fight hard, hideous Vong Thing. Battle long. The Maenan was moving, flitting over rubble and between jagged points of cover barely large enough to provide proper protection. Migrating out and away, his trajectory aimed precisely through [member="Jorryn Fordyce"]'s chosen flight path.

On another day, maybe another Battle, Belphaegor imaginably, may had taken offense to a member of the Saaraishash electing to abandon the pitch of combat. Betray that implicit trust of competency in the face of overwhelming terror and statistical odds. He might have even conspired against her, selected maneuvers to all but assure her demise. But they had started this mission together, joined by doctrine and discipline, while she may very desert him at first opportunity. He'd not leave a fellow Inquisitor behind.

Or, at least, not when there was nothing to gain.

He carried himself with a haggard, battered, sort of grace. Every movement of his limbs, equally as disheveled as his current appearance. Jorryn had gotten quite a distance away from him in her haste, but his tenacious nature would see that distance shrink no matter the cost. Even as chaos hurled itself in to that path from every angle.

Amber eyes, careworn, yet sharp. Leapt from one target to the next, as his hands guided Zelroth. From above he came down with a cut, cleaving a glowing wound from skull to stem through a man. His own body striding through the gore of smoking halves. Another there ahead, her feet sliding as the Maenan reeled her in to measure with a sudden and brief gesture from his right hand. Before flicking the very end of a burning white blade across her face, melting teeth and flesh as boiling spit and blood steamed with torrid vigor from the ghastly wound.

Hardly any Stormtroopers remained at his side, those that had been, found themselves unceremoniously obliterated as [member="Yasha Cadera"] stormed through atop her demonic machine of war and death. As she and the Jedi of Jorryn's desire rushed down the fleeing Echani.

Ah, bitter irony, really. Perhaps he should call out to the ashen fleshed woman? Advise her to reconvene with him on Mirial?

Oh he could.

Oh. He. Should.

From a jigsawed piece of duracrete, that the Inquisitor had lobbed his shoulder down against through that rapid advance of hellfire. Belphaegor allowed his gaze to journey up and over the edge of the fractured slab, his body aching with discomfort from the jab of a dozen jagged stones as he shifted himself for a better view. From here he could see the metal monster tearing and yanking it's way through and in to a devastated building his ally had hurled herself in to.

With a ragged breath escaping his bruised and bloody body. He suddenly rose, seizing this brief moment to try and offer aid to the sorrowful plight of the Echani, just as she was attempting to collapse what remained of the structures stability atop her foes. With his Lightsaber, the Maenan swung an upwards cut, angled sharply, through a durasteel I-Beam that jutted out from the skeleton of this shattered building he found himself isolated at.

As he descended over the heaping mound of broken stone rubble, closer to the scene unfolding. His right hand clenched in to a fist, his muscles cramping painfully as he flexed and trembled. Pulling with everything he had as the Force yanked the weighty I-Beam clean from it's foundation. Holding it briefly, suspended silently in the air behind him as the pointed side, still smoldering from his cut, focused forward towards the Basilisk Droid's rear.

Then with a sudden swing of his arm, the large beam launched forward at an incredible pace. Guided by Belphaegor as he hoped it would impale the Droid through it's right intake engine. Further sealing it's doom as Jorryn attempted to crush it, along with it's riders, under the building.

Objective: Rescue

Two fingers came to the rim of his battle helmet and gave it a slight turn on his head, taking in the battle brewing near the vicinity of the Starport. It was bloody and disastrous, as all battles were no matter the side. Just had to make sure you were on the winning side; but for Amun? The only side he stood with was his own person and his employers. In a profession attracting scum and the dishonor there were some pockets of those with honor, respecting the profession of Bounty Hunting. Some examples of dishonor were capturing a target, yet accept its credits if they valued more than the current employer. No Hunter should retreat from their employer unless the circumstances compromised one’s own life.

Amun’s own code of the art. Or at least part of it.

The Kyuzo was with another Bounty Hunter, the Mandalorian Fett. Both were responsible in not fighting for a battle for the Sith, rather save whatever lives were left and make sure they came back to the Empire’s borders safely. And of course, the credits were perfect for the job. The job would be honored and completed to Amun’s best abilities.

In contrast to Fett, the Kyuzo wasn’t one to occupy much technology and advanced armor to complete his assignments. But his natural strengths and skills covered what he lacked in armor and extensive technology. Only piece of hardware with him was a personal shield. The rest was just a various stock of grenades on his bandolier and utility belt, along with his favorite bowcaster.

The duo encountered two Sith Knights and whatever was left of their forces being attacked by what appeared to be Mandalorians with the main attacking force of the New Republic. To add to the fire a single war droid mount was in the fray, holding its rider and passenger that was a Jedi. Allies were approaching the iron beast, Koda using his wrist rockets and the Sith with their gift of the Force. And Amun? He’d keep his distance from the war droid and use range to his advantage. Ten SHOCK quarrels were loaded in the bowcaster, designed to counter droids and other synthetic products. Taking aim on his target the Bounty Hunter would fire at the large head of the machine, wanting to fry its electronics and shut it down, but the best he could at least do was tamper its cannons and weapons at its head. Every single quarrel would launch until needing to reload, the combined attacks of the Sith and Bounty Hunters enough to leave more than a scratch on the bes’uliik and its riders.

Or at least the Kyuzo hoped for.

TR-20 X-wing
Theme
O7IzWjD.png
Pulling up to continue on her loop around the fringe of battle, Ava saw one X-wing break free with a starfighter on its tail. The pilot's sensors told her Jax was at the stick of the Alliance ship. Measuring his line, Goldie rolled her craft and looped down at a tangent to it.

[ Rogue Six, break hard right. ]

Anticipating Skyhawk would roll his fighter up on its starboard S-foil crisply and pull away, Rogue Nine swooped in and fired, giving repeating bursts of quad lasers to his trailing TIE and hoping the spherical pod would finally give way and send the solar array panels slicing off through space.

Before she could even smile, her X-wing jolted forward. The Ralltiiri's instruments indicated heavy damage to the TR-20's aft shield. "Squeak, get me a lock on that TIE."

Ava inverted and dove, then pulled back on the stick to power up through a teardrop and onto the offending TIE's six. Of course this was no average Imperial Sith TIE pilot. Instead of being where she expected it, the TIE showed up off the blonde's port strike foil, going away at a right angle to her course. Goldie stood on the left rudder, then did a snap-roll that gave the Rogue XO a view of Corellia above her helmet and the TIE racing away from her.

Someday Ava hoped to see the most revered world of the Corellians up close and personal... perhaps vacationing with a tall, dark, and handsome local by her side and hopefully not by crash landing on it, or worse not getting to experience it at all by ill-circumstance.

But as feared.... the enemy fighter pulled its own loop planetward and started back at her. Head to head - They know what they're doing. Countless times it had been pointed out in training, the majority of kills took place in head-to-head engagements. But so do I.

"Watch our tail, buddy," Goldie said to her R9 unit, then the determined pilot kicked the shields full forward and drove in straight at the TIE. Her rangefinder on the targeting monitor scrolled numbers off with blurred speed. The crosshairs went green and Nine fired, but couldn't see how much damage she'd done because of the light show produced by the TIE's lasers eating away at her shields.

This was a moment in trust of skill, a little luck, and a whole lot of hope... Come on baby, hold together one more time.

He let out a breath of air, somewhere between the simple act of breathing and the exhaustion of a sigh. His mind's eye, spliced with the power of the voxyn arm, allowed him to see what was coming. But equipped him with no power to stop it. It was the curse of foresight, arms held to the ground with chains that were far too heavy to move.

The grutch nul squealed as it bloated from the blast of the Fennec, erupting in a splash of bile and blood. Its teeth clattered to the rubble of duracrete, chomping its last bit, as Reverance looked towards its remains sadly. The first shot from the pistol, from @Vulpsen, cut through a lapse in the shield as Reverance stepped back. Looking away from the trajectory of the rounds, he glanced down at hole in the chitin and narrowed his eye, wound weeping in the northern region of his breastplate. Blood welled up like something had been popped, a low pressure pipe that threatened to give a bit more.

He tried to focus, tried to flex the wounded arm as his grip around the lightsaber tightened. It responded dutifully but the whispers of rebellion gave light to a loosed saber, crackling to the ground as it extinguished. But not yet. The shield soaked up the remainder of the shots, letting through those aimed on high and intent on burying themselves deep in the wall behind him. The Mando had his toys as well and intent on expressing himself, was cross firing Reverance with weapons of his own. From the very first shots, pushing cavities through rubble, the former Wrath had decided that the Mando's weapons were things best avoided.

As the one successful shot struck him, his muscles tightened in his thigh as the kinetic energy threatened to rip off his leg. The percussive sonic blaster petered around the shield and he had moved his head, just in time, to avoid the final shot from the heavy pistol. Gazing down, he flexed his knee as the overlapping chitin plate slid down, shriveling on the vine as it cracked against the ground.

Reverance blinked, angrily, as his teeth bared. There was a mighty stopping power within the weapons that were being used, he was surprised the recoil wasn't enough to give the combatants pause. The way this fight was being waged was infuriating, keeping him at a distance but for the one who left - now chasing the mando on her war beast. He felt that hatred, burning from the wars that had passed, ignite somewhere deep in the void of his chest. Force energy, latched to the decay of his spirit, clung to his body in waves of hot red. Standing up right, he charged as if the previous attacks hadn't phased him, aiming at brining this fight close for those who kept him at arms length.

Fire...it erupted from sky, dousing the ground where [member="Kaine"] Austalis and @Vulpsen stood with an outpouring of napalm. In the blink of an eye, the beast strafed with the attack, plucking Reverance from the battle with a deceptive grip on his wounded arm. The grip wasn't there for long as the Nuhlrokka tossed the Wrath into the sky like a rag doll - only to fly in his direction - catching him across her back. Reverance let out a shattering scream as he landed, dropping the red bladed saber to the ground below. He went to quick work resetting his arm into the wounded shoulder. But his time was limited...

The Nuhlrokka was charging full speed towards [member="Yasha Cadera"] and her war mount. Maybe they'd be impaled by the I-beam as well...

While the modulation may have prevented them from acquiring penetration, the modulation was not ongoing - the Saturns were modulating to the new frequency. Their shields had been taken out thanks to the attack of the 7th Fleet, but they were still in good shape. As well, while over 75% of the oncoming drones had been destroyed, both by fighter cover and by anti-fighter weaponry, a good number had managed to penetrate the defensive screen. It was exceedingly close to the battlecruiser's hangar bay - past the anti-air defenses, and it was unlikely they would be stopped. The surviving drones would head into the hangar and, upon collision with the interior walls of the hangar bay, their antimatter charges would detonate, likely causing critical damage to the command ship of the Wookiee's fleet. Assuming such did in fact happen, how such crippling would affect the rest of the fleet was something to be assumed.

The Void Irregular Fleet itself would continue to engage the Wookiee's fleet even as the 7th officially got involved in the battle. They were outnumbered, having engaged 3 fleets during this conflict with only 2 fleets to fight them. Withdrawal from this position to somewhere more defensible would be required soon if they were unable to inflict any serious casualties to either fleet.

Some of Vanessa's miniscule reserves had been called in - reserve ships from the Void Irregular Fleet, removed from frontline service. These aging ships would assist the Maldrood Irregulars in their engagement with the two heavy cruisers - they were expendable, after all. The TIEs would continue strafing as the Eightguns would engage the shuttles with their heavy firepower, trying to prevent them from picking up their pilots.

The elite Sith pilots would continue to engage. Alpha 1 would jump back to his carrier, having sustained too much damage to reasonably continue fighting. The two TIEs that Ava had engaged would pull off, making way for an Eightgun that began to unload upon her fighter with a barrage of xaser blasts from its eight guns. The Eightgun would also fire a seeker cluster missile at the Rogue Squadron pilot, hoping to finally achieve a kill. A Forge trailed the Eightgun, ready to snap back with its extreme maneuverability in the event that another one of the Rogues attempted to play hero.

Another Eightgun, trailed by a Forge, would continue to pursue Jax Rhane, firing upon him with its eight xasers, but not yet letting loose a missile despite having lock.

Still a small measure groggy, she allowed the aid presented by Yasha, trying to show a bit stronger of a face in this instance of weakness but knowing the mandalor would not make mention of it considering the two's understanding of eachother. The Mutual understanding was one they had fostered through a relatively quick trust of faith on their pasts but one that Alexandra would not betray and one that she knew Yasha could not betray.

The Woman's honor would not allow such betrayal.

But as quickly as Alexandra was onto the droid fighter, and as quickly as Jorryn had come into sight, someone touched her mind and Alexandra became a bit annoyed. Taeli was always around when she was about to have fun and as such came to ruin that fun. She wanted to ignore it but knew the woman would just show up at her doorstep to retrieve Jorryn if that happened, so Alexandra groaned and raised her voice, speaking to Yasha.

"Mandalor, forget the Echani. That Vong formed monster is still tearing apart the area and we need to stop him, and his pets." She added the last bit, her thoughts registering a new threat as she was informed of the incoming creature.

"Oh and Mandalor, I suggest you and I leave your droid quite quickly. We are about to have company and I doubt that our best work can be done from here..." She glanced around, looking with her own force given sight to find what was of an immediate threat, and what could be delayed and dealt with at a later time. Thankfully the ground was not far and she would not have to worry if she had to jump off, but landing beforehand would be preferable.

The other mandalorians, the vong creatures, and the vong formed sith were going to make Alexandra's day long, and rather irritating. That was certain.

"Several hull breaches Sir! We must retreat!" The bridge was a mess of flickering black consoles, electric sparking wires and wounded bridge officers. The holographics were barely visisble and flickering as well.

Bram Sigismund moves with the shaking of the ship, the flagship wouldn´t last much longer in this fight. As the holo transmitter is not working anymore, he quickly sends a voice message to the Preservers and Reprentance classes to form up around the Lightbringers and try to shoot down the incoming warheads. As the enemy fighter screen is non-existant anymore, the starfighters are ordered to follow the same command.

While he speaks, one of his sensors officers hastily runs towards him, reporting that one of the enemy battleships is heavily damaged by the mass of bombers with many hull breaches, the one facing the two Lightbringers suffers heavy damage as well, the massive armament hitting them hard. "The Sarissa and bombers shall focus on one and bring it down! One by one!"

"Conduct all energy but minimum engine energy to the shields, only keep our point-defences active and bring us between the other two artillery ships and the Sarissa! Now! Order the Sarissa to fire from our shadow."

The battle between the two large fleet divisions goes on undecided, enemy ships are heavily damaged while the Hellions hold their line, a second and third are slowly suffering very heavy damage though.

TR-20 X-wing

Frak! This was not how things were supposed to go...

The TIE that Nine was engaging head to head suddenly veered off and right behind it coming out of nowhere was one of the Imperial Sith assault fighters that had eight guns. The Rogue's TR-20 was no match for this ship. Ava was in deep doo doo as her forwards shields started to deplete rapidly while under the barrage and the X-wing's laser shots didn't seem to make a dent in the enemy. And to make matters worse, a seeking concussion missile was inbound as well.

A warning warble came from her astromech droid. "I know, I know, buddy... Get ready with the countermeasures."

A well of panic started to rise up from the pit of the ace pilot's stomach, but Ava pushed it back down as fear would only assure her death sooner than later, and she was not going to die right now if she could help it.

All the Ralltiiri could do really was go evasive, but not before letting loose the four brilliant missiles still available to her. Two homing missiles shot out from their torpedo launcher tubes under the wings on blue streaks followed by the second pair a moment or two later. One or maybe even two would have to score a hit one would think. Ava also released decoy flares and chaff for misdirection of the ordnance inbound before breaking hard to port and climbing in a weave pattern.

Mere seconds passed before Squeak wailed out another warning... This one mournful right before the conclusion missile sent by the Imperial Sith pilot exploded in the near distance sending a shock wave out as they were designed to do.

"Eject, eject, eject!"

Ava had just enough time to turn the snubfighter to use the underbelly of her ship as a shield to the blast, then she reached for the ejection handle under the pilot couch and pulled it. A million things went through the Ralltiiri's mind as she was thrust outward at high-G's from the X-wing. The last thought before searing pain and unconsciousness took her was of a particular Corellian naval officer, whom she regretted not getting the chance to properly wish clear skies to before the battle. Whether he cared or not, didn't really matter. She still did despite his coldness as of late.

Etw1wkB.jpg

To any watching in the vicinity, they would see the X-wing disintegrate; the engine pods spinning off in different directions and the cockpit canopy exploding into a million glittering fragments. The now EV pilot would be seen floating free of the stricken ship, arms waving along with a blue astromech droid rolling around not far behind. One would hope it was more than just random reflexes of a hurling already deceased individual, then a piece of the fighter's S-foil sliced through the pilot's right arm. After that the flight-suited pilot began to tumble through space, but they remained otherwise unmoving.

An emergency beacon was activated as was the life support systems of Goldie's rebel-orange flight suit still intact as the hole had sealed where the right arm below the elbow used to be. Time would only tell if Lieutenant Commander Ava "Goldilocks" Cartwright would survive this extra-vehicular activity or not. Hopefully the Force and everything else lucky and meaningful was with her.

"Roger" Jax replied in exasperation as pulled on the stick hard, the velocity increasing in his engines as he banked right. Putting in his own might and will to fend off his attacker. Laser fire continued to swarm from both sides of his fighter and he made desperate attempts to hold out on his own while Ava tried to deal with the assault fighter that was proving to be more relentless with it’s own manoeuvres. A trail of sweat was beading down his forehead, his grip on the stick now tightening. Essentially Jax was now flying in a straight line, making small jukes and jinks to avoid the laser green bursts of fire coming at his rear. He could not escape it... Then he heard it: Ava’s panicked cries of alarm.

“Eject, Eject, Eject!” She was saying, then static.

Jax silently prayed that she had ejected in time but his hopes were cut short as he continued to try and outrun his pursuer. Was he going to die out here? Is this what it had come down to? Snaps warbled out an alarm of warning. “Everything we have to the rear deflectors!” Jax commanded to his astrometch droid with urgency. He knew all too well that putting all power on his shields was his best chance of survival.

As the Dies Irae moved to block the Sarissa, the four Voracitos-class bombardment spheres obliged and focused their next barrage of hundreds of baradium missiles on the Lightbringer. The smaller fleet components would fight on despite their losses and continue to pursue the retreating fleet assets with their primary cannons, their secondary guns engaging the remaining fleet assets. They were trying their best to cause actual casualties to the enemy fleet, with one corvette having already been forced out of action and two Tachys patrol vessels destroyed already. The destruction of either a Star Destroyer or multiple frigates would significantly benefit the 92nd as they continued trying to force the New Republic's 7th Fleet to withdraw from the system. The Carrack II would continue to brawl with the Preserver corvettes in an attempt to impede their attempt to block the Voracitos' warheads from harming the enemy fleet.

Vanessa, seeing an opportunity to personally get involved, ordered the Ablution to be jumped into a position on the opposite side of the Sarissa as the Dies Irae. The super-heavy beam weapons would charge and fire at the Lightbringer, as would the energy torpedoes and various other secondary weapons on the heavily modified Pluton-class battleship. The Ablution did not have any sort of shield modulation technology, but did wield multiple super-heavy beam cannons. Vanessa hoped the interjection of the Ablution into the fray would finally force a retreat on the New Republic fleet's part - as it stood, it would be several minutes before her ship's hyperdrive recharged and cooled down to a point where it could safely jump out. That she was in this position meant a level of vulnerability.

The Eightgun that had engaged and destroyed the X-Wing of Ava Cartwright soon turned with its Forge buddy and moved to engage Jax, whose fighter was already under fire from the Eightgun that currently pursued him. The number of xasers firing at the X-Wing doubled from 8 to 16, with the single Forge covering both vessels as they reigned down upon the Alliance ship. Ava's last hurrah did not come without loss to Alpha Squadron - one of the TIEs was struck on the cockpit by a brilliant missile and spiraled out of control for several seconds before detonating in a blaze of ionic particles, while an Eightgun took a missile to one of its nacelles. The fighter, smoking and with sparks shooting out of the gaping hole where half its firepower used to be, began preparations to jump out, two Forges covering it and threateningly firing at any X-Wings that tried to take advantage of its vulnerability.

The remaining Eightgun, covered by the fourth Forge, began to fire at another X-Wing as the two remaining TIEs tangled with an X-Wing each.

Jax tried to duck shots, his shields were rapidly demolishing at this point. Looking at his HUD the blips that surrounded him were only red. Other X-Wings in his scope were pinned down in their own warfare so there was no one coming to save him... There was no possible way to escape the wrath of now two assault fighters firing upon him and with his shields just about to give out-- A feeling of dread swept over. He wasn't going to make it. But it couldn't have been his time, not yet. Not when there was still a galaxy left to roam, not when his potentially younger brother was still out there somewhere. He hadn't even come close to avenging Kerk, he couldn't give up now but his own instincts were telling another story. He couldn't feel any determination to go on or endure...

Then he felt the sudden jolt, the sirens in his cockpit screamed. "I'm hit!" He announced with resigned acceptance. Many good pilots found a way endure, he had gone through every protocol, took in every lesson with stride --- But then it was suddenly becoming impossible to breathe. Snaps let out a scream that was instantly cut short. His own cloud of vision was starting to fade as the stick in his hand felt heavy and unresponsive. "This is Skyhawk, pinned down bad.. They're all over me... Can't shake 'em off..." His strained voiced practically wheezed into the comlink in a desperate attempt to have it heard one last time; any reason behind it? Probably not. He was after all just another faceless pilot in a forsaken war that would continue to go on. He knew that now. Sparks surrounded the cockpit all around, he felt the blaze of fire circulate around him slowly, charing through his orange flight suit but before it could consume him Jax's helmeted head had already slumped forward over his instruments. There was no more pain. Only peace. Moments later, his TR-20 finally exploded into a ball of debris.

Despite the best efforts of his Fangs and point defense network, a group of incoming suicide bombers remained. From their trajectory it appeared that the target would be the hangar of the Gaaradiik, a target that would cause serious damage to the ship depending on their payload. Of course, this wasn't the Wookiee's first time out, and thanks to the KSA and the Silver Engineering Corporation, he had a few more tricks up his sleeve for such rookie tactics.

With a quick order the ship's deflector overshield was activated. Significant power had to be drawn from the engines in order to activate it, rendering the massive ship immobile, but that wasn't a concern to Errreembuhr. They weren't going anywhere anytime soon. The added power to the shields made them practically impenetrable to both energy and physical matter, including the twenty-three droid fighters that remained. It only took one to crash into it, detonating its payload prematurely and setting off a chain reaction that eliminated the rest in a brilliant show of destruction and violence. From the bridge the detonations could be felt as aftershock, and the sheer power of the charges carried by the drones shook the flagship even without having penetrated. Something like that going off within the ship itself would have been catastrophic.

With the threat dealt with, however, the Wookiee could turn his attention to the rest of the battle at hand. The shields were holding, but with the overshield still active, it wasn't likely he'd be able to get much from inside fired out, so fire was held in order to redistribute power and return the shield to its base power. Fortunately the weapon modulations had been finished.

Despite the Gaaradiik taking a moment to redistribute power safely, the Wisin and Yandel were under no such restrictions, and began firing with their full armament now, projectile and energy weapons both. The energy weapons were now within range of the Endeavour, and between them and the heavy mass drivers, should be causing extreme damage to their target. The heavy solar ionization cannons fired as well, weapons that in theory should be easily bypassing shielding and striking the hull directly.

Meanwhile the Ashwinder found itself in poor shape. Taking severe damage from the many Massassi corvettes firing on it at once, it likely wouldn't survive much longer in open combat, though her commander refused to abandon ship, instead ordering nonessential personnel to evacuate on shuttles to the Gaaradiik under escort from the Fang fighters that remained in the area. As for the Massassis themselves, the Wookiee's fighters seemed to be causing barely any damage to them, an odd coincidence considering how effective snubfighters were typically against such ships. No matter. From the reports he was getting regarding the ground efforts the battle would be over soon, and the Imperials would be forced to pull out or die here for nothing. All he had to do was wait and survive.

The Imperial Armada came in incredible strength. The combined forces of Vice Admiral Denko, Admiral Jaggar, and Vice Admiral Vaal and exited hyperspace and entered the battlefield above Corellia. Zahori sat upon the bridge of her ship and prepared the offensive while the rest of the Admirals did their thing.

"Admiral, we've recieved word from the planet. Lady Taeli wishes us to begin evacuation efforts for Imperial forces."

"Hmm. Very well. We'll preoccupy them up here while our dropships slip past. Begin firing upon closest enemy assets when ready. Send word to the other fleets of our plan. Admiral Jaggar shall be the bulwark. He'll certainly enjoy that."

"Yes, ma'am."

First Fleet began preparing it's weapons while shields were standing strong. Second Fleet moved alongside First Fleet, slowly moving forward to enter the battle. Third Fleet moved faster than the rest, pushing forward at great speed. Starfighters and gunships poured from the many hangars of the Imperial vessels.

A little overkill. But necessary overkill.

The overall number of engaging targets was getting to be too much. The gambit using the Cyracuses' complement of drones to harm the Gaaradiik had been successfully countered by the Wookiee commander, and the position of both the experimental task force and the Void Irregular Fleet was essentially untenable. The assault on the Endeavour in particular, serving as the flagship of the Void Irregular Fleet despite its age given the Ablution's current separation, would result in the ship's destruction if a retreat was not soon ordered. All ships prepared to jump out to a prearranged rally point within the system - from there they would jump to another more stable location, and from that location, back to Sith space for repair and recuperation. Despite having forced the Sith fleet to withdraw, it was the Silver Jedi and their New Republic allies who gained the propaganda victory in this battle, having destroyed one of the most destructive Imperial vessels in service with the Sith Empire.

Of course, the ships were not standing idly by and letting themselves be shot while readying a jump. Still they engaged, primarily the Wookiee's battlegroup. The Saturns had completed their remodulation and opened fire on the Wisin, the Yandel, and the Gaaradiik. The regular Massassis had almost lost shield integrity, but the modified Void Massassis had molecular shielding, which served it reasonably well against the laser cannons of the enemy fighters. Still, though, no significant casualties had been inflicted to these fleets - though some of the standard corvettes redirected their fire to the Ashwinder in an attempt to remove at least one piece from the chessboard.

The sound of napalm on ground, accompanied by the noise of roaring flames sent the hairs on Vulpesen's back upright, and out of instinct, he sprung forward. The ground behind him was bathed in fire and he could feel flecks of the gelatinous fire licking at his heels. The pain sent shudders up his spine and as he rolled back to his feet, he quickly lowered a hand to issued blast it off of him, noting the slight holes that had been burned into his armor, leaving angry welts on his leg. "Bast- Oi! Where the hell are you going!?" His voice lifted as he turned to see his foe flying off away from them, only to be followed by a mandalorian boasting some impressively savage weaponry.

"I ain't done with you yet!" The ground crunched under Vulpesen's feet as he coiled and sprung once more. But rather than escape some impending doom, the zorren launched himself towards it. His burned leg screamed in agony but he ignored it for now, focusing on other things. His legs, empowered by a simple but powerful force jump were enough to get him rather high into the air. But it was the grip on his own body through the force that truly made him fly. The sith and the mando had the jump on him, and he would be playing catch up. Thankfully, there were weapons that traveled faster than he did. His hand passed through his cloak then shot out, sending three pieces of durasteel shooting at the sith with a crack. Vulpesen would take some time to catch up. His daggers, propelled by the force would reach their target in an instant, being aimed at [member="Reverance"]'s back.

What the beast lacked in elegance, it made up for in speed and agility. Multiple wings gave it the grace of a bee on steroids, b-lining in vectors. Reverance's intent was to take the fight to this mounted individual. His pursuant seemed to have a fleeting relationship with the armored creature and the former Wrath loved nothing more to introduce desperation into a fight. And now he felt it in his wake, rumbling behind him on the gales of the force and auxiliary technology. A noble amalgamation but one that had it's faults, all the same.

Reverance had thought the blast of napalm, coupled with the breath taking speed of the mount, would have been enough to grant some form of clearance from the fight. He could circle back, rip this starport to shreds, and bring the columns down around him. But it seemed that plan would need to be delivered in a less than refined manner. He was fortunate that breaking bones and dislocating arms was common place in his war-faring, the arm went back into the socket without a hitch.

Ludicrous speed or not, Reverance had always touted himself as most formidable in speed. Coupled with his multiple augmentations, it was only fortunate for his enemies that he now stood absent the Soul saber. Mania no longer served as his propellant. Pulling back on the barbed cillia across the crown of the Nuhlrokka, he urged it to turn. And it did so with far more force than he anticipated. In the dime it spun on, Reverance was almost flung from the beast as it b-lined directly towards the charging Mando.

And from it's mouth, it breathed in as lasers from ground troops dissipated in the aerosol around it's body, absorbing into the gelatinous fire - exhaled from its probosces. And from it jowls, the stream sprayed out at the incoming soldier, intent on dousing him and the troops below him as the second strafe and attack. If the whip made contact, it would do so in the torrent of the gel - striking against an angry monster's exposed underbelly. [member="Vulpesen"], standing below, might find himself cursing once more, as fire was flung towards him to consume him.

The three blades were swallowed up in the flame and in reaction, Reverance lifted his hand to catch one. The blade slung through his palm, radiating the passing heat of the fire, as Reverance gripped a fist around it and let the wound fester.

Solus Rekr tore at the air, an animal of metal. The Bes’uliik continued spitting cannon fire toward the Sith and Mercenary positions, spewing plasma at Koda and Amun. The incoming shots blared on Yasha’s HUD. The Echani was well away.

“No time to land… bail.” Yasha barked, as she banked the war droid into a corkscrewing tumble upward, further up. Two of the shots exploded beneath them.

One hit square on the Bes’uliik’s port propulsion unit. Solus Rekr’s controls locked. The droid dove toward the ground, Yasha’s maneuvering meaning nothing. The droid locked into the origin of the shot, [member="Koda Fett"], and began to attempt to fall into Koda’s position.

Yasha grunted and pushed off the mechanical beast, grabbing the one thing left to her as she went. A nine foot long spear. The Longinus was Yasha’s wedding gift from her riduur, the man currently burning. Borne of Yasha’s experiences in the Nether, the Longinus was no ordinary spear, nor was it a simple weapon. It had a fundamental gift built in.

The ability to manipulate the gravity around it. Tossing her arm above her, Yasha slowed her descent, and rocked upward into the sky. The soldiers around her became smaller and smaller dots, Yasha’s targeting system on the HUD the only way of knowing how far up she really got.

‘Holy feth, holy feth, holy feth, holy feth, holy feth, holy feth, holy feth’ Yasha whimpered to herself, breath coming out in shorter and shorter hyperventilated bursts. Free-fall. Her greatest fear. The instinct to cling both-handed to her spear was stronger than reason.

“Mama, Buir’s in trouble. You’ve gotta get to him.” Cerani peppered into Yasha’s ear, a calming voice reminding the falling woman of a predicament larger than herself. Kaine. He needed help.

“A bit busy!” Yasha barked, free-falling through the sky and attempting not to scream bloody murder and break the illusion. “Fire on the shooters!”

Cerani’s ship pealed off to suppress Amun & Koda’s positions with cover fire, releasing a series of six bombs in an arc to eliminate or push them from their positions.

Clutching the spear with both hands, Yasha triggered the gravitic controls around the spearhead and thrust at Kaine’s location, catching sight of [member="Reverance"]. He lit Kaine on fire.

He lit Kaine on fire.

Yasha veered through the air in an arc, straight for Reverance and Kaine. Straight to dive bomb between them. The ground gave way, shockwaving cracks of duracrete as Yasha landed hard on both feet, thrusting her spear at Reverance and attempting to gain distance, while she placed herself between her husband and the vongshaped beast. Yanking off her armourweave cape, she tossed it at Kaine to put out the fire.

“Kain’ik, hope you don't mind I dropped in.”
