The Battle for Corellia (New Republic Dominion of Hex U30)

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Location: Near the Spaceport
Objective: Subdue Sith Infilitrators
Target: [member="Reverance"]
Enemies: [member="Belphaegor"] [member="Jorryn Fordyce"] [member="Braith Achlys"]

Alexandra's eyes remained on the man as he talked about her being insignificant then and now, things that made her twitch a bit for a second but in the end she remained on the rocks she had moved to. Her face seemed still as she considered his words without his challenge even registering in her mind. The world became dull and soundless for a few moments before she breathed in and a smile crept across her face.

"Ya, perhaps nothing has changed. I am still in the middle of a battlefield after the years of peace I had found in my solitude, as much as I had wished for the last years to be different." She hunched over a bit, still smiling slightly, even if small tears gathered in her eyes but sadness and grief did not radiate from her. Instead, a simple joy grew in her heart.

Then excitement sparked inside her body, bubbling up under the skin. It was a wild and almost feral excitement, one she had had when she had been echani but now it felt even stronger with her new body's own inhibitions. She wanted to take up his little challenge, knowing just how fun such a fight could be and the force was pulled towards her as she breathed in and out in a slow pattern.

Her breaths were methodical and with the smile in on her lips growing, something more happened as the force tied itself tighter to her bones and her muscles. Something else started to grow strong in her too, the very source of her power and her memories flowing to the people she now had thanks to the past and what had happened. The thoughts of Abigail, who was elsewhere on the planet, to Vulpesen who was no more than a mile away, and to her children on Veradune.

That was the greatest source of her power, and even she found it humorous how cliche it sounded. Her love for those of her family was what drew the most power from the force, the embracement of that emotion was in direct contrast to the Sith's method of power generation. While they used Emotions, they used destructive and rash emotions. Anger, sadness, jealousy, and fear; emotions that she would not use to draw power from.

So she rose her staff high, bringing it down and burying the staff's butt into a space between the rocks that she had been resting on before also removing her blade from her side. The sabers would remain in her sleeves but she only did so because the crystals inside of the sabers meant more to her than almost anything in this world. It was only then that she would also shed her robes, removing the somewhat restrictive clothing set.

What remained was a woman with sabers connecting to her waist, no longer hidden in her sleeves due to the removal of her robes. Her shirt would be simple, nothing more than a white thing with no sleeves, paired only with a set of tan trousers that showed signs of oil and grease stains from the numerous projects that she had worked on at her home. A cold breath left her body, her training with Cyrokinesis showing for a momentary second before she started to walk forward, dropping from the pile of rocks to stand on the ground.

It was then that Belphagor's stunt with the speeder caught her attention, her head turning to the right without needing to seeing as the force was providing her with sight for now. The speeder launched itself at Reverance and for a moment Alexandra worried that her fight would be stolen from her but then she knew that would not be so simple. Reverance would be able to deal with the speeder and she would follow it in, aiming an enhanced punch right for the man's gut, even if the crab armor was in the way.

The Gloves she wore, would become unnaturally strong, almost like a metal gauntlet but even then the power in her own strike would be unnatural. Alexandra was a few things, a gardener and a healer, but before she had come to the light and found such powers to be her talent... she had been a warrior and a brawler. And as such, imbuement and enhancement had been her most impressive of abilities, she only hoped it was powerful enough to deal with Reverance's crab armor until she could find a way to win.

Several ships were ripped from hyperspace, mostly Alliance designs, but some were unfamiliar, notably the two large Corellian looking destroyers and another Colony-class battlecruiser entered the fray. Yularen's eyes narrowed from the bridge of his Colony-class. The frigates had long been destroyed by the Sith and so the ship did not dump its frigates into the fray like the Starchild. Instead this one bristled with weapons and they weren't just for show.

The fleet came to reinforce the slowly burning New Republic, Silver Jedi, and Alliance in Exile fleets and came at an opportune time.

"Fire all turbolasers on that battlecruiser!" Corellians would win this day, and even if they got help from new found "friends" they would deal the final blow. The Quarth smirked as turbolaser fire streaked in front of the bridge.

"Commodore Pryce! Corelian reinforcements!" A sight for sore eyes. The battle was chaotic, but it was obvious that the Sith had a slight edge in terms of firepower.

A turbolaser shot glanced off the shields above the bridge and shook the room violently. The Frigates were doing their job in keeping the starfighters at bay, but the powerful turbolasers of the enemy's capital ships posed a problem for the defensive ship. The man stood from his chair and pulled up a few different holodisplays that were tracking the battle. He grimaced at the message of Solan. The Super Star Destroyer was arguably their biggest threat and not destroying it...Trying to capture it, posed a host of different issues.

With a sigh he promised himself that if he made it through this he would speak to Ava. But if he went along with Solan's plots he could very well end up dead that day.

Partnerships. They never lasted, of that Fett knew. He was all but certain that this brief pairing with Amun was soon to crumble into dust, sliding between their fingers as they eventually rest on triggers with the intent on killing one another. It had been nothing but common within this particular line of work. Everyone so desperately desired to be the greatest, to earn the most credits, to become the most feared. There were all too many reasons, and not one was more valid than the next. Fett? He had hardly known anymore, it was something that changed too often, but, suppose he could place those chips down alongside his pride and willingness to make one proud.

They waded through the streets of Corellia, approaching the starport that they had been assigned to secure- least aid in the securing of it. The Mandalorian's carbine remained hot, freshly fired as buildings find themselves aflame, ships torn asunder, bodies searing with heat, and the ground rumbling so violently. It was war, no doubt. And if it brought one thing, it was profit.

The Starport was rather close, and it was beneath his T-Visor that he witnessed it clearly. Republic Forces were certainly overwhelming. Conventional methods of entry were of no use today. If only those other Hunters survived their journey across Corellia, they might've been capable of attacking larger forces.

The Inquisitor's vehement defence soured even faster than the poor girl expected, her determined stare forward pulled away as her fellow Saaraisash quickly weaved around her in his speeder. Jorryn's focus giving way to confusion as Belphaegor spoke in his native tongue and stopped to face the other direction, only growing worse as he sized up the man that the Echani was hoping would take out the Jedi Master.

The Sith put a hand in front of her face to block out the dust that the speeder kicked up, her eyes shrinking as she tried to keep track of him moving around.

"I don't thi-" The annoyance in her tone coming off as her face became straight laced with shock as the Maenan's own voice hurled towards the Vong shaped man calling him a coward.

Her annoyance turned to anger as the Inquisitor aimed his lightsaber at Jorryn's face, her face twisting in surprise and anger as she leaned backwards from it. She didn't know what had set the pale man off so badly, only that it was interfering with her plan. As confident as he appeared to be with confronting the pair beginning their fight, Jorryn hardly shared the sentiment. While she always praised her duelling skills to others, the presence of the two had her concerned about her chances.

The Echani was hoping that the man in the Vong armour would, at the very least, wear out the woman enough for her to step in and capture the Zorren. Even if he intended on killing her, Jorryn assumed she could intervene before any fatal shots could be landed.

Unfortunately it seemed her hand was being forced now, another attempt for her to dissuade the Maenan falling on deaf ears as he sped away before she could even finish the first word. Fingers pressing into her eyes as she let out a loud sigh, trying to formulate yet another plan for her to get off of this planet. Jorryn didn't have much choice in the matter though, she would just have to hope her fellow Saaraisash's more... proactive approach to the situation would work.

"Hold this position no matter what!" Her voice straining out against the continued sounds of battle around them. "If those Jedi manage to get through without all of you dying first, I'll come finish the rest off myself!"

She let out one last huff before finally taking a deep breath to recenter herself, and watching as both the Jedi and Belphaegor fought for the attention of the now lone figure. Jorryn decided it might be better for her to take a less direct assault than the others did, compensating for her strength with cleverness.

Her amber gaze watched as the Zorren followed up the Maenan's speeder trick with a strike of her own to the Vong figure. Jorryn pulled both of her hands back as she drew in the force, a smirk finally coming across her face as she could at the very least enjoy a good fight. Throwing her hands forward, she unleashed the wave of power towards the redheaded woman.

It wouldn't be enough to throw her across the room, but hopefully it would edge her just enough to fully crash into the man she intended to hit. Taking both her opponents immediately off balance would throw the advantage to the pair of knights, hopefully enough to give them the favour of the battle.

“Right behind you, Nine.” Bringing the yoke forward, Jax’s X-Wing accelerates alongside the other fighters following ahead in Goldilocks trail. He was swept over by a very swift feeling of inner trepidation that was quickly defused by the inner dialogue paving away into his subconscious. ‘You got this… It’s just a couple of imps. It’ll be like shooting down mouse droids in a barrel’ As if right one cue, Snaps sounded off a warble to confirm any inner doubts he must have been having. “Don’t go soft of me now, we got bigger fish to fry!”

The whirring sounds of the incoming TIE fighters came into sight over his display, some hovering over from above while others took a more competitive streak. Snaps let out a few bleeps to indicate that one had caught up to his tail, “I see it! We’ll outrun him.” Diverting power to his shields, Jax jerked his fighter hard to the right in an attempt to diverge his pursuer into a loop dance. The TIE would not rest until it aligned itself with it’s target. The sounds of laser fire could be heard as the fighter made his attempts, a few shots bared down upon Jax’s shields but not enough to bring them down altogether. “He’s on me tight! We’re gonna have to steer him off course.” Bringing his fighter into a controlled dive, he diverted some of the power from his shields to veer off rapidly away from the swarm of Sith fighters that had swarmed around the centre of the engagement between other rebel ships. He was too prideful to admit it but he was pinned down.

Keira couldn't help but feeling a brief mixture of accomplishment and amusement. Of course, the cannons blared at her immediately afterwards and she had no time to relish it, going off in a wild and violent arc downwards to try and avoid the worse of the shots: she'd rather not be blown up into a fireball this time around, and she immediately wanted to buy a round of drinks forever for whichever genius stuck deflector shields on an interceptor: absorbing some of the shots before being broken her fighter staggered some as it was grazed, trailing damage and buckling briefly.

Swearing her head off Keira quickly needed to get a plan going. And one did.

"Come on old girl...die on me later..."

Desperate enough to talk to the wounded Interceptor and it's partially damaged engines she pushed it as hard as she would allow to rush forward. Right into the thicket of the Imperial TIE swarm, how much different could it have been from flying through asteroids? Though even with a damaged aft she had enough sense to spin and bank when necessary to avoid the majority of the cannon shots being sent her way.

The two wings of Coryphins and their TIE escort would pull away - a few TIEs had been damaged or destroyed in the initial flight to bombard the enemy position near [member="Jorryn Fordyce"] in order to give her an opportunity to fall back to the transports that had now landed, and they moved to swing back around, attempting to get a second bombardment run in before they were empty and would be forced to withdraw. At least one TIE pilot, his craft too damaged to safely return to space, would crash into one of the TIE Stalkers, sending both plummeting into the ground. Their position here did not seem tenable.

The two corvettes decloaking certainly assailed the fighters - but it also made for perfect targets. The super-heavy beam weapon of the Sheol charged up and opened fire on one, while the four light beam weapons of the Massassi corvettes would fire on the other, their own anti-fighter beams engaging the remaining Mandalorian fighters. Eliminating these corvettes was paramount to saving what remained of this Sith fighter squadron.

"To all Sith fighters - exit the field of battle. The Greater Maldrood's units are here to assist in engaging these treasonous Mandalorians."

With the active assault by the 7th Fleet on the 92nd Bombard Squadron, their focus was no longer split - instead it now focused exclusively on the attacking ships, as the warlord's vessels appeared to be keeping Solan's ships busy. The four bombardment spheres would unload on the two Lightbringers now at close range with their seeker baradium missiles, hundreds being launched and arcing towards the enemy capital ships. The corvettes(and frigate) followed the bee strategy of surrounding and opening fire on larger targets, though it was not as obviously effective - multiple Tachys corvettes had taken serious hull damage already.

"You know I'd love to, but I'm currently busy making a half dozen different fleets bleed." She responded to her former apprentice. "But right now, I believe you have bigger things to worry about. If you survive this, perhaps we can meet up and formally do this." With that, Vanessa turned and focused on... other things.

The Saturns were continuing their close-range engagement of the 6th Fleet, causing tremendous amounts of damage. They had already forced one Interdictor to withdraw - now the two D-Variants focused fire on the other, trying to cause it the same issues. EX-E had not modulated itself to the Jerry, but its heavy beam cannons would likely still damage the ship unless its shields were reactivated. The other vessels would continue their current engagements, doing their best to carve up the 6th Fleet and wrap an engagement up so their damaged vessels could modulate to ships in another group and begin inflicting even greater casualties.

And now the Alliance-in-Exile had joined the fight. Lesser fleet assets had been redirected to the fray in order to engage them - the 1st Composite Battlegroup, comprised of a Torpedo Line, a Heavy Attack Line, and a Pursuit Line. They were in no way truly a fleet, but were the only option to stave off the Battlecruiser and its associated vessels that had entered the field. Currently they were at range, waiting to engage enemy assets that attempted to reinforce any retreating fleets.

Meanwhile, the Ablution and the Saturn remained outside the area of combat, watching and coordinating as the Saturns prepared to jump in to engage the Silver Jedi dreadnought. The last thing Vanessa wanted was for [member="John Locke"]'s prized vessel to survive this conflict without serious wounds.

That said, assistance was needed. Vanessa’s only remaining fleet assets consisted of a paltry group of obsolete reserve ships and Crimson Command - everything else was or would soon be dedicated to this battle. In an attempt to get some of the heat off of her, Vanessa sent a transmission to a naval associate within the Sith fleet.

He wondered if the Inquisitors assumed Reverance's attention was taken. That his blackened arm didn't crave for the blood of all force sensitives in this world, his included. His eye, a deep shade of black, looked towards the woman as she stood atop her monument of rubble - but the eyes of his hand, now removed from utter blindness by the foil of a saber, remained fixed on every ribbon of the force. Innate, ingrained, it was too much to expect that such hunger could be shaped out. As the voxyn's body was molested and twisted into the shape of a working arm, that defiance and need remained tethered to the very genetics.

And it could see what needed to be seen, another dimension added to the former Wrath's sight. The woman in front of him, reflecting on her life as a means to embolden her own power. The woman atop the building, blooming with anger. The man atop his speeder, coated in the lacquer of self reliance and importance. The tandem of voxyn sight splayed across the infinite tethers and options of shatterpoint, it gave the frankesteinian villain a point of view that defied his nonchalance.

Standing unaltered in the suit, the user was capable of lifting double his weight and crashing through duracrete like it was paper. Without the armor, the voxyn arm retained the potent density of its forefathers - and accrued a doubling affect in strength. But all of that paled in comparison to the rybcoarse based CERS system that ran through every muscle and tendon, bringing to bare a reaction time and strength that was without equal.

Across his back, bugs skittered out from the overlapping plates of aggressively strengthened chitin. Flapping their wings lazily about as they moved, sharpened pincers cleaned debris out the shell as one wayward grutch nul found it's way to Reverance's throat. A small serpent like tongue licked at the lobe of his ear, burning the flesh black with acidic saliva.

The man seemed to not respond. Instead, he flexed his voxyn arm as the speeder took off, focusing on the amalgamation of living biot and cybernetics as his body kicked into full gear.

It wasn't hope that brought about an outpouring of his signature. It wasn't a self righteous need to exert himself, it wasn't a desperate need to live. He had no hope, his exertion was constant, and his will to live was null. Instead, he fixed his eye upon a singular moment in time - his own death - as a destination worthy of seeking and earning. A certainty in knowing that this - this act - was all he was ever good at. These persistence realizations brought his power to foreground of this encounter, waves of a bloodied ocean lapping at the shores of a dying world. He took a step back in anticipation of the speeder, engines rumbling in the not so far distance.

He would kill or be killed, coated in the memories of pain - delivered or received.

Taking in a deep breath, he moved his attention from the woman - the one who had died - towards the speeder. Kicking on, he stepped to his left and commanded the force with unadulterated anger - a coal fire, burning for centuries on end - as he grabbed the speeder along the front frame with the voxyn arm. Each moment passed by with the painful resolve of force speed as he twisted and redirected the speeder. Spinning on his left foot, he dragged the speeder from it's inertia and brought the tail end around to hit the woman before she could land her punch.

What force wave remained over the distance, it would wash over him like a muted sound. He would know its presence, would lament at the way it graced him without penetration, but the flow of it would move sporadically around his presence - sent off kilter by the force dead nature of his armor.

Forces: Squad 1, now led by Captain Harlow en route to Vice Chancellor Tobias Dracks

Feet pounded against the duracreet as Vulpesne and his men raced to the location of Tobias Dracks. A vice chancellor in a pinch was exactly what they had been hired for. But even as he ran, Vulpesen found himself perking up as a voice popped into his head, familiar but forgotten in the chaos. Daeda.The small wolf was requesting assistance, and better yet, the request came in the form of irresistable bait, a powerful sith lord. "Harlow! Take command! Use the ship coms to talk to Ace if you need me!"

With a quick affirmative from the captain, Vulpesen turned nad sped off. Now unburdened by his team, the Valde dropped down into a full zorren sprint, running on all fours, and even calling upon the force to speed his movements. He didn't want [member="Reverance"] to know what hit him. Now a hound on the hunt, and with a concrete personal mission, Vulpesen's eyes blazed with anticipation and focus as he sped through the battlefield, ducking the bolts of those that might think they could peg the dark blur with their weapons.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Though the main leader of the Vitae may have disappeared on some personal errand, Captain Harlow continued his journey, blazing a path through the sith with gunfire and brimstone until they finally reached the side of the Vice Chancellor, "Sorry sir, I'm not the Valde. He's doing what he does best I assume. The battle apepars to be going well, but we've been sent to guard you and assist in taking whatever objective you need captured." Even as he spoke, The nine other men where setting up positions, stemming the tide of enemies as they attempted to advance on their position. "Where do we need to start? And is there someone or something in particular you need blown up?"
Keira had to give props to the red fighter, took a fair lot of devotion to stick so brutally to one target regardless of all the other damages that coursed through their fighter. Of course, not like she was much different: she needed to get him off her tail before she was left to slag, and she of course had another plan. Her Interceptor was going to hate her for this.
Gunning another throttle and turned her thrusters forward with a cry from the damaged engines of her craft: not all too much left in it after that. But she was sent shooting back instead of zooming along forward.
The plan was simple enough, use the superior speed of her enemy to try and get him to overshoot and end up in front of her. And if it worked she would immediately open fire at his craft, needed to put the pest down.
GEAR: Zelroth's Rest
The snarl of lawless pandemonium was waking all around them. Deadly intensity, clamoring up from the brief, barely conscious, slumber [member="Jorryn Fordyce"] had brought about. Soldiers of every make and variety, wading through the sea of rubble, letting shots hang heavy in the air. Anything, and everything, a target. Hideous and unattractive, it's ferocity was leaving the cityscape deformed.
For now, all of this beautiful bloodshed, was purely noise. Strident discord, keening deafeningly, in every direction. Threatening every ear that dared listen, with eternal silence.
Belphaegor may have appeared outmatched, to most. He was by no means as Master, and his predilections leaned mightily upon the realms of Sorcery and Alchemy. He enjoyed the taste of the Sword, but savored the Pen. Oh, he could fling tridents of Lightning, urge otherworldly Strength to his muscles, command blinding Haste of his stride. But his attention to detail, that was his most prodigious.
Not the Mentalism, deliciously deadly, Mother Matsu imparted upon him. Not that prodigal domination of Force Crush. He saw the things others simply neglected to notice.
In this case, [member="Reverance"]'s hubris. Or, perhaps, it was more akin to self-loathing. He hadn't been afforded the time to truly devour the creatures very unique Force-Signature before it was voided away, denying the Inquisitor's tongue, that very particular flavor. In spite of that, a consensus was reached.
There he was, moving with power and speed, arrogance behind such fetid armor. Perhaps some would claim the same of the Maenan, while he clung upon the martial wisdom of beloved, Zelroth. He didn't have time for a reflection of that magnitude, not now.
Not while so blatant a mistake required attempt at cruel punishment.
Maybe when Armor was so invincibly wrought, those beneath it's stout bastion forgot the very basic fundamentals of combat. You never left an enemy that quite clearly stood to oppose you, unchecked, and without an active threat to stay their hand. So, somewhere in that breath of time, when the Vong Beast slithered aside, plucking the rushing 22-B Nightfalcon from it's rapid trajectory. The Maenan was upon him.
Oh how his body pivoted, that voxyn arm extended outward, Belphaegor would sourly admit - perhaps later in life - it had indeed been a memorable spectacle to behold. But when actions were transpiring between blinks of the eye, there was little time to spare.
With his Lightsaber buzzing, drawn-out to it's full length, Belphaegor made his strike. Though a natural left-handed duelist, for this, he presented his grip upon the Hilt of the weapon in an orthodox hold. Arms bent crooked, and crossed, weapon just barely above his head. While the blade, radiant and white, stooped at the gentlest of angles in front of him. He had arrived, immediate and sudden, as the abominable appendage of the unknown male had come to, what Belphaegor considered, the ambit of it's extension.
The Inquisitor's blistering speed took halt to more calculated footwork as he drew along the outside of Reverance's swinging appendage. Approaching at an angle from behind, ragged looking Belphaegor, unwound his arms. Wrenching the pommel of his weapon with the left, while he pressed with his right. Twirling a vicious undercut, in perfect measure, that aimed to connect with the pit of the Vong's shoulder, and Force willing, the greater cutting potential of his blade would see it follow through and in to the neck.
No ceremony, no pomp, only death. That was all Vong Beasts deserved.
-- Tobias looked on as the building fell to the ground with the overwhelming power of gravity at its back. No explosion could have caused this ball of worry and Adrenalin as the Vice Chancellor saw no flames that often accompanied them. Experience told him that this was the cause of the Force Users. He had his back turned at the beginning of this little stunt and only saw a glimpse of Force Users duking it out. This was when he got the call.
-- "Vice Chancellor, Command has requested you leave the field of battle," The voice was from one of the drop ships that were now coming in to take the wounded, "Imperial Forces are being mopped up but the the Senate demands you be taken away from possible harm."
-- The man only scowled at the fallen building that was now separating his forces from helping out the Jedi. He looked to his body guards, "Master StormWolf, continue to help the forces to the conflict with the space port, I am needed at the Command Center to oversee the rest of the planets invasion."
-- He turned to get on the Republic Dropship, then back to the Commander that Vulpesen had sent him thinking the man was the king himself. "Take command of Republic Forces here and get that damn Spaceport, I wanted the damn thing yesterday."
-- His Dropship took off to take the Vice Chancellor to the Command Center closer to the cities capital. From there he would oversee the rest of the battle and eventual take over of the planet from the Imperialist. He hated leaving the battle, but he also fallowed the orders of the Senate and he was a public figure, though a fight with a Sith could be fun.
Their initial salvo went well, with the entirety of what Wyyyschokk fleet had brought to bear firing on the main Sith ships. Within seconds however sensors picked up another battlegroup coming in, one whose IFF codes didn't match with those that were allowed. Errreembuhr gave the command to halt fire, leaving what had already been launched to travel across the void and strike their targets.
What came from hyperspace however was double his number. The Wookiee laughed at the sight. If the Sith were this dedicated to a losing battle then perhaps they weren't the galactic power he'd made them out to be. Despite their number being twice his own, Errreembuhr pressed on forward towards the main group attacking [member="Rick Kaloo"] and his forces. They were the priority here. To cover his end, however, the fighters were all deployed. Four hundred TIE Stalkers alongside nearly ninety Chiloon IIIs as heavier support. All flying at high speed towards the incoming fleet.
The rest, however, the Fang fighters, remained with Wyyyschokk fleet as close support, their high numbers a formidable defense on top of the already extensive point defense network created by all of them in concert. The enemy produced quantity, that much was sure. But the Wookiee's fleet was of a far superior quality, and their heavy guns would rend apart the Saturn and Silencer battleships. A call was put in as well to fellows outside of the system. If reinforcements were needed, they would be on standby.
In the meantime, despite the heavy assault that Wyyyschokk fleet began to lay upon the enemy ships, they had one other trick up their sleeves, something that would help with getting the Pickle Rick and its fellow ships out of danger. Kastet grav missiles were launched at the Imperial interdictors to knock out their interdiction capacity. They were far enough from friendly ships that the massive explosion wouldn't harm them, and it would give friendlies the opportunity to escape to safety if needed.
Alex nodded his understanding of the Vice Chancellor's orders. "We're on it, Sir. I'll see what I can do from here."
Turning to Captain Harlow, Alex asked him a simple and to the point question.
"Captain, do you have a demolitions man with you," Alex asked, pointing to the pile of rubble that separated them from where Alexandra Feanor was facing off against the Sith. "That pile of rubble is holding our forces from taking the Space Port from this side and separated us from one of our allies. I could Force Leap over it in a pinch, but the rest of our soldiers aren't gifted with those abilities."
The three remaining Imperial soldiers had been stationed in the front of the warehouse, smoking cigeras and conversating quietly... content in the illusion that their authority was unquestioned. The distant rifle-shot from within the warehouse caught their attention... and the tremendous blast which followed a few moments later drew them at a sprint.
The Boogeyman shot the first one as he came through the door at the far end of the warehouse; the powerful light-gathering scope on the blaster rifle he'd procured from their fallen comrade doing its' job perfectly. The bolt pitched the soldier over, burning through his armor and knocking him to the floor instantaneously - stone dead. The next two men were too committed to avenging their fallen comrade to prepare properly... and died, one while believing himself safely in cover and the other spraying shots wildly into the dark. Neither man ever once had a glimpse at their killer.
Their bodies, and the bodies of their comrades, were left where they'd fallen. A plume of smoke had begun to billow into the sky over Coronet Spaceport as a fire broke out; a result of the explosion Vengeance had instigated. If the Imperials were ever drawn to investigate, they'd find only the remains of their fellows... and total devastation.
With Pickle Rick incapacitated, Captain Seth took command from the bridge of Summer.
"I've got an idea." said Seth calmly, even as turbolaser fire tore through the armor of his Destroyer.
"Contact Morty and the remaining Megaseeds." ordered Seth. "Order them all to activate their tractor beams, pulling toward Pickle Rick."
"But... why?" asked a concerned and nervous officer.
"We're going to tow the pickle into hyperspace while our Silver friends beat the kark out of those interdictors."
Now, the singular officer was joined by more in protest.
"We can tow frigates, and even Star Destroyers into hyperspace. But this is the third biggest vessel in the entire Silver Spacy we're dealing with! How are we going to move it even a meter?"
"You'll see." was Seth's only response.
Despite the skepticism surrounding the captain's plans, the crews the Sixth Fleet obeyed. Dozens of tractor beams were suddenly turned on the fleet's burning flagship, before buzzing to life, sending beams of gravity flying at Pickle Rick. To ensure the combined effort would succeed, the two Destroyers and two cruisers involved were all on the same side of Pickle Rick, their combined pulls drawing the battlecruiser toward them instead of a less focused centerpoint. Surely enough, after only ten seconds, Pickle Rick began to jerk toward the tractor beam's pulls, its flaming hull dragged on its own accord, smashing through any ship in its path. In the meantime, the remaining corvettes of the Sixth Fleet now prioritized protecting the four vessels, taking hits for the vulnerable cruisers and Destroyers, preventing any of the four from taking much more damage.
Pickle Rick was starting to recover from the burning coffin it was digging itself. Fire prevention was now prioritized over all systems except life support, and it was paying off. Additionally, repair nanites stored in safe rooms in Pickle Rick were being deployed, and began healing a damaged and dented structure. While full repair was far from guaranteed, the nanites would keep Pickle Rick from taking much more damage than it already had.
In the meantime, the next step of the towing process. Using the coordinates Admiral Rick had transmitted before Pickle Rick's comms went silent, Captain Seth began tracking a jump into hyperspace. The entire fleet, understanding what was necessary of them, began to tilt downward toward an open area of space where they could freely jump once the influence of the interdictors left them. Even now, it would take only a few minutes before the entire fleet could be out of the system, Pickle Rick hopefully included.
But for now, the Sixth would have to wait until their allies had done their part.
"Admiral Denko. Incoming transmission from the Corellia system. A distress call."
"Is that so? Hmm."
Zahori walked over to a holocomm projector to her right. 2 figures appeared before the Vice Admiral. One was Vice Admiral Hedan Vaal. The other was Admiral Jaggar.
"Admirals. I've just recieved a distress call from the Corellia system."
"Yes, we have recieved the same. My fleet is mobilizing."
"Mine as well."
"Then, I shall see you on the battlefield."
The holocomm cut out. Zahori returned to her position at the center of the CIC. Her ship, the Legator, casually rested at the center of Imperial First Fleet. 1st Fleet was comprised of some of the greatest warships within the Imperial Armada. Two Harbinger-class carriers, five Harrower Mk IIIs, and, finally, five Eradicators. Vice Admiral Hedan Vaal, the Keshiri Warrior, commanded Imperial 2nd Fleet. Admiral Jaggar only possessed a small fleet, but it was no less powerful than any other in the Imperial Armada. At the flank of Admiral Jaggar's command ship, the Warpath, were two Militus-class Star Battlecruisers.
Just as each admiral said, the fleets were mobilizing to answer the distress call. Each one prepared for hyperspace from their homeports, and within a few moments, stars in the distance turned into streaks of white as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Fleets entered hyperspace.
Allyson did her best not to laugh over the comms. Yuroic responded giving his callsign to the others and she was briefly reminded of the man that he used to be. He was her friend and companion even though when she first met him he was high as a kite. Shaking her head slightly, Allyson changed her route to head towards the station to provide support for the ground. Peeling in formation, she spoke over comms.
“Deathblade, heading to the rendezvous point over the station.” Deathblade, it reminded her of some of the comics she read and wondered if she shared that with the man in the other fighter. She heard Dusaro over the comms as well and made a visual of the drop ships, they were in charge of protecting.
“Handyman, Deathblade – we have visual on the dropships – let’s keep them safe. Permission to engage.”
The X-Wings moved towards the drop ships covering them, Allyson fired upon any fighter that came too close to them, which meant she had a few brief engagements with other fighters. As they played escort, there was an explosion that lit up in the corner of Allyson’s eye. Snapping her attention, she bit her lip and wondered if that was a good explosion or not.
“Seems the fireworks are happening already.”
