- Combat Function: The Ash Hellions are an elite special operations unit, trained in reconnaissance, asymmetrical warfare, pathfinding, sabotage and counter-terrorism, emphasizing sufficiency, stealth, speed, and tactical coordination over numbers and direct firepower. Their advanced equipment, experience, training and sheer tenacity has served them well in this regard and they're more than capable of going toe-to-toe with some of the galaxy's most elite.
- Faster, Stronger: The Verd implant package as well as the Ori'kute undersuit enhance the already notable strength, dexterity and agility of the Ash Helions. In addition, the Verd package also grants heightened awareness and analysis of their surroundings, as well as spatial perception. The mind's natural ability to process visual data is augmented greatly. This enables them to fight enemies who would normally leverage their ability to react faster than their enemies, such as force users.
- Resilient, Persistent: The Verd implant augments the Ash Hellion's stamina and pain tolerance, additionally giving them a bacta processing implant, allowing them to make even better use of their armor's bacta pump. Thanks to the variety of stims and adrenals, the Ash Hellions can fight longer and harder than would normally be possible. Combining that with extremely resilient armor makes them a true force to be reckoned with.
- Lots of Guns: The Ash Hellions have almost the entirety of the Breshig arsenal at their disposal, putting them on par with the company's own commandos as far as equipment availability is concerned. As a result, they rarely don't have the right tool for the job
- Ghosts in the Night: The Ash Hellions' armor is equipped with advanced passive stealth measures and a personal cloaking device, allowing them to strike and fade to their heart's content, infiltrating and exfiltrating as their operations require.
- We Proud Few: The Ash Hellions are a small, twelve man unit. While extremely capable, when it comes to attrition, that is simply not a game that they're going to win. Quantity eventually wins out.
- Only Us: Being a single, specialist squad, there are no others being trained to replace them, or easy reinforcements to draw from. Replacements are on as is required basis.
- Support: Being a small special operations squad, they are entirely reliant on their fellow Legionaries for artillery, armor and air support.
- Supplies: The Ash Hellions can only bring with them as much ammunition, rations, and other equipment as they can carry on their person. Beyond that point, they're reliant on what can be delivered to them, or what they can scrounge or scavenge.
The Ash Hellions are a specialised shock unit of the Legion of Bone. Most of these individuals are from the original mercenaries that had befriended
Danika Leventis
while she was still running from execution. These men and humanoids can be considered as the most loyal to the Witch Warlord other than Samron Gerron. Danika and Samron had invested a lot of time into training these individuals, especially after conquering Vestar, where they could then hone these original members into razor fine weapons. Danika knew that were no one better than Mandalorians to approach for outfitting both this unit as well as the rest of the Legion of Bone. However, she invested more resources in specialised equipment for this unit. For that, she had approached the head of Breshig War Forge Consolidated,
Shuklaar Kyrdol
, for outfitting her men. When engaging in combat, the Ash Hellions are always pushed in first for anything from recon to escort for Danika. After years of mercenary work as well as diligent training in the art of finer combat, this unit is excellent in what it does and, even though small, can make a big difference in battle.
