DESCRIPTION
Sylva Vitae is Jack Sandrow's personal company for building plant-based alternatives to technology. Unaligned to any specific faction, Jack is able to do requests on a first-come, first-served basis, but reserves the right to deny service for any reason. All projects are determined on a case by case basis, and not every project is possible to create. Crafting items strong in the Force, there is no requirement to be able to actually use the Force with these items, but that certainly helps.

RATIONALE
Creating a new company was always in Jack's future. Wanting to craft something from the ashes of JSA, Jack sought instead to lean into his strengths. Focusing on plant & fungal creations instead of technology, he makes bespoke all-natural creations, expanding his skillset and abilities throughout. While his connection to the Force has limits, he does seek to further said connection, and crafting more items will certainly help with this.

ITEMS
  • SYLVA ARMA
    • Jewelseed - shotgun/slugthrower/flechette launcher
    • Acus - slugthrower rifle
    • MSIG - multi-purpose non-lethal grenade

SYLVA VITAE: THE ORIGINS

In the aftermath of the Omni Awakening, Jak experienced a major crisis of self. Drifting for years, he found himself cradled, nursed back to health by a planet that was itself sentient. Caring for him as he had cared for other plants, he undertook an awakening that brought him to a semblance of revitalization. Knowing only he could truly change himself, he began to quietly tiptoe around the galaxy, staying out of sight and out of mind.

With a wealth of knowledge relating to biospheres and planets across the galaxy, Jack is now working on something new - a biotech company focused on sustainability, nature, and the flora of the already-existing world. Through Jack's own awareness of self, he uses the Plant Surge ability granted by the Force to study and learn, encourage and grow, to craft and create new species from pre-existing ones.

From the ashes of Jak Sandrow Armory (JSA), which had been dissolved and liquidated, Jack has a new company. Sylva Vitae focuses on living weaponry, armor, and energy storage, in a manner that is regenerative, self-sustaining, and reproducible, both literally and biologically. With its subsidiaries Sylva Arma, Sylva Motus, and Sylva Praesidia, Sylva Vitae works to further the biotech exemplified in such historic civilizations as the Yuuzhan Vong, the Aang-Tii, the Sekotans, or the Langhesi.

To date, while Jack's foray into the biotech sphere has been limited, the creations wrought through his knowledge and use of the Force have allowed him to truly begin to blossom.

Relevant creations to date:

  • The Pod - an entirely plant-based spaceship that uses the Force itself to travel across the galaxy.
  • Iresine - personal scout combat armor
  • VPEA - armor type designed for use in a vacuum
  • 'Plem' cells - pluripotent plant mono-cellular organisms
  • Waterthreads - 'smart' cells that work to create reactive armor padding
  • C. viridis - a thinking non-sentient plant organism
