SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Entirely organic design, customizable to the user
  • Pulse acceleration biotech for an almost silent firing cycle
  • Compatible with other SV biotech
STRENGTHS
  • High ammunition capacity
    • The internal magazine holds plenty of chitin rounds, and can adapt to other magazine intakes.
  • Compatible ammunition
    • While the basic ammunition uses chitin slugs, it is compatible with alike SV munition
  • Rechargeable and compatible with SV biotech
    • As with all Sylva Vitae biotech, this is compatible with similar series, and specifically compatible with the JX.1.X series.
  • Organic biotech
    • It is capable of slow regeneration if it is damaged, though there are limits of course
  • Invisible to most scanners
    • Made of organics, not technology, it is invisible to all but the most precise organics-specific scanners. It is entirely invisible to tech-specific scanners
  • Near-silent firing modes
    • Using pulse accelerators allows the ammunition to be fired without chemical propellants, making it almost silent
WEAKNESSES
  • Heavier than standard weaponry
    • Dense biotech is heavier than durasteel of similar size and shape.
  • Incompatible ammunition
    • This cannot be reloaded on the field with scavenged ammunition. All ammunition must be sourced from SV.
  • Slow reload
    • Oversize, bulky, and entirely organic. Requires a hookup to an SV reloading mag, or slugs must be individually loaded.
  • Organic design
    • Unshielded, entirely organic, makes it entirely weak to other weaponry. While it can regenerate, it can still be broken, and faster than standard durasteel weaponry.
DESCRIPTION
The "Acus" is a moderate rifle, with a diverse range for various battle scenarios. Functioning as a slugthrower rifle with medium to long range, it is also capable of semi-auto or full auto fire modes. The recoil of the weapon is partially offset with its weight, and partially by the fact that it uses recoilless pulse accelerators. Its strengths are mitigated with the fact that it is entirely incompatible with the tech of the galaxy at large. Slow reload times, lengthy repair times, and ammunition entirely specific to SV, makes it a proprietary piece of biotech.

It's hefty - as a battle rifle, it is intended to be. There are rifles that can do it better, there are rifles that can do it lighter. This one is entirely organic, and is next in the line of Sylva Vitae products to hit the shelf.
