- Combat Function:
- Mobile Infantry- Transported and deployed by naval vessels, the Naval Infantry Corps relies on mobility to engage hostiles across large theaters of operations. Designed to be a reaction force in a system with a dozen moons, countless space stations, and an asteroid belt, they rely on armed transport vessels for air support and quick deployment of combined arms forces of infantry and highly mobile armor.
- Command Structure
- Squad- 9 Soldiers, Led by a Sergeant and Corporal
- Platoon- 4 Squads, Led by a Lieutenant
- Company- 4 Platoons, Led by a Captain
- Battalion- 4 Companies, Led by a Major
- Regiment- 4 Battalions, Led by a Colonel
- Brigade- 4 Regiments, Led by a Brigadier-General
- Army- 4 Brigades, Led by a General
- Sector Army- 4 Armies, Led by a Captain-General; Appointed by the Rimward Trade League Council
- Command Structure
- Airborne Infantry- Rather than relying on drop-pods, vulnerable to anti-air fire and useless once their passengers are deployed, the NIC relies on armed and armored transports to deploy troopers, vehicles, and supplies, before continuing to provide air support and reconnaissance capabilities. In a not-entirely unique development, troops often deploy to secure an objective before returning to their transports and redeploying elsewhere. Rather than applying a direct concentration of force, the NIC relies on mobility to move around heavily guarded locations, cutting them off from supply lines and command posts and hitting enemy lines at their weakest points to defeat the enemy in detail.
- Vanguard Deployment- With an emphasis on rapid insertion and mobile strikes, the NIC often deploys ahead of the primary force to secure landing zones, neutralize critical defenses, and operate behind the often more static formal lines.

- Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): N/A
- Combat Hardened: The Outer Rim has been at war for nearly three decades against foes as wide-ranging as the Sith Empires, the One Sith, the Order of the Black Rose, and First Orders, as well as countless smaller skirmishes against warlords, pirates, syndicates, and cultists. That has pitted them against various foes with major doctrinal and tactical differences. This has lent itself most directly with the olders officers and NCOs having a vast reserve of experience and ingenuity they can impart to their subordinates. That stiffens the spines of even the newest recruits and passes on unconventional tricks and tactics. They are not easily intimidated or frightened and, being from the Outer Rim, notoriously stubborn and independently-minded, especially when taking orders or suggestions from those they don't know.
- Citizen Soldier: All Suarbi and League defense forces members are volunteers, well-paid and professional. They know the risks that might be asked of them and are willing to go through with it if the need arises. But they're not reckless or stupid. If victory is impossible, they aren't going to sacrifice themselves for no good purpose. Instead, they will withdraw and disperse, even moving into a guerilla style if necessary, before regrouping and reorganizing.
- Fortifications: While they have heavier weaponry and light vehicular and artillery support, they are not equipped with siege equipment or supplies to enact long-sieges or assaults on enemy fortifications. They can try and keep them pinned down and harass the supply lines, but it would be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to take a heavily fortified position.
- Air Superiority: Despite being armed with limited amounts of man-portable anti-air weapon systems and some vehicles with anti-air capabilities, they have little to no air-support outside of their own shuttles and transports. As a result, their actions and effectiveness are hampered by situations where the enemy has air superiority.
While the Suarbi System Republic had a pre-existing Naval Defense Force and Army, they realized through their times as part of the Omega Protectorate, Galactic Alliance, and Outer Rim Coalition they needed a new armed forces branch capable of operating in close coordination with orbital assets, both for deployment and active defense against planetary invasion.
Basing it somewhat on the Galactic Alliance Defense Force and drawing on the number of veterans of the First Order Wars, they assembled the Naval Infantry Corps to work as the primary expeditionary force of the Suarbi Systems Republic and Rimward Trade League. While many galactic governments have marines that specialize in ship-based and zero-gravity combat, the League created a hybrid branch that combined the traditional army structure with the mobility of the marine forces. While transported and mobilized by naval vessels, they function as a light combined-arms corps, based around infantry and lightly armored support vessels. It was an idea developed from the original Rebel Alliance unit and prior Galactic Alliance unit Twilight Company
Founded shortly after the establishment of the Rimward Trade League, the Naval Infantry Corps has recently been activated in light of the Sith Order pushing in from the edge of the galaxy as the primary military force of the League.
