SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Rebreather: The helmet comes with a detachable rebreather connected to the chinstrap that can be used independently for short periods of time, or connected to air tanks for extended uses to protect against hostile atmospheres, chemical, or inhalation-focused biological weapons.
  • Sonic Dampening Helmet: Using old technology, the innermost layer of the helmet is based on the sonic dampening helmet to protect both against the sounds of combat, but the growing use of sonic weapons.
  • Kinetic Armor: The core of the helmet is made of kinetic armor material, like that used by the Rebel Alliance during the original Galactic Civil War. This is designed primarily to protect the head against physical damages ranging from melee blows to slugthrower impacts to explosive shockwaves but isn't primarily designed for protection against blasters.
STRENGTHS
  • Kinetic Armor: The core of the helmet's protective design, kinetic armor is meant to take the brunt of physical assaults, including physical impacts, slugthrowers, and melee strikes. As
  • Versatile: Designed to be the core of an integrated head-protective system rather than a specialist helmet, the MRCH-1 can be fitted with numerous accessories through netting and webbing to aid a wide variety of roles. It itself, however, is only a helmet with no in-build technology beyond sound.
  • Peace and Quiet: The sonic dampening material at the innermost level of the helmet is designed to help protect against sonic weapons that target the ears, explosive noises, and stun weapons that are sound-oriented.
WEAKNESSES
  • Gas! Gas! Gas!: The rebreather is connected to the chinstrap, meaning it has to be manually worn when needed, which means invisible gases or biological agents may not be immediately filtered without additional equipment.
  • Lightsabers: Armorweave can do a little bit against lightsabers, but not stop them, nor is there a neck-protecting forget.
DESCRIPTION
Seeing the inevitability of war growing closer and closer, the Rimward Trade League commissioned the Outer Rim Manufacturing Union to create a highly versatile armor system to complement the work designed by Force-Tech under Corbin Vasher Corbin Vasher for the various defense forces within the Rimward Trade League. With Force-Tech creating excellent fabric materials used in fatigues and ponchos, the rest of the Outer Rim Manufacturing Union focused on hard-material protection, like helmets and armored vests. Realizing there was no way to create a one-size-fits-all armor system for the wide variety of forces within the League, they instead opted to create a smaller system of versatile system anchors, starting with the helmet.

Not wanting to rely too heavily on technology, they opted for a traditional approach when planets like Sevaracos make advanced equipment unreliable (and sometimes undesirably explosive). The helmet's core was made from kinetic armor material, focusing on protecting the head and brain against physical impacts, which could cause concussions and other traumatic brain injuries. They opted to make the helmet in various sizes and styles to accommodate most species in the League, ranging from the Squibs to the Chiss to the Twi'leks and humans. The cheaper production of reinforced layers made that more feasible than a highly-complex piece of equipment. The innermost layer of the helmet was made much like the old sound dampening helmet, sealed to the kinetic armor center while a layer of armorweave covered the exterior to add additional blaster protection.

They also attached a rebreather to the chinstrap so that everyone would have reliable breathing apparatuses, especially non-Sevari deployed to Sevaracos or Sevari deployed to other worlds who need a spice-rich atmosphere to breathe. Beyond that, they created various forms of webbing and strap material to attach other accessories to the helmet rather than creating new types of helmets for different roles. Common accessories include thermal and infrared vision goggles, rangefinders, and comlinks.
