Mya is a passionate idealist, believing strongly in democracy, free trade, fair treatment, and self-determination. She's also very compassionate and fiercely protective of her people, both the ones she represents politically and not. But that also means she's very compassionate, and seeing those she cares about hurt hurts her as well. She's also a bit tempestuous at times, which can support her and her causes, or get her in a lot of trouble. Bit of a firebrand, honestly, and fiercely patriotic, given she comes from a half-forgotten mining colony. As a natural leader, she also does not take kindly to others trying to tell her what to do. Also a bit conceited.
Committed: Mya is tenaciously loyal to her beliefs, vision, and goals.
Pragmatic: While many of the ideals of her youth remain as foundational principles, Mya is no longer quite the firebrand orator as she had been in the past. Focusing instead on data-driven, historically supported policies, she looks for options that are primarily effective in their long-term accomplishment of goals, even if, in the short-term, many others find them counterproductive or naive.

Born to miner parents, Mya grew up learning how the industry worked and survived, even after centuries of abandonment by the rest of the galaxy, and how each part played a pivotal role in the entire process. Went to a local school, started training to be a freighter pilot early on, worked as a freighter pilot. Then, as time passed, people started joking about how she should get involved in politics since she was so passionate and outspoken about her beliefs. She laughed them off for a while, but eventually gave it a shot, and got involved in Susefvi politics with a backing composed primarily of other freighter pilots. She's continued to be involved while still hauling freight to pay her bills with a bold new plan brewing in her mind.
