State of the Union [Open to Invitation]

Events such as this wasn’t usually on Charlie’s list of places to be. The last time she had come to something like this she wandered about with Asaraa and was left to her own devices. The Padawan wondered how this evet would take place especially since it seemed to be more of a diplomacy type of deal and not so much of a party situation. Still she got to wear a new tunic today, it was clean and fit her perfectly.

Charlie liked to believe that she had grown a little taller, but that wasn’t the case. Everyone was being announced and Charlie figured she wasn’t on the big list of announcements. So, she didn’t wait for her name and followed closely behind Jyoti. There were people she had seen before and others she had not. Looking up towards her Master she followed the woman’s eye line and raised an eye brow.

“Who are some of these people, Master?” Charlie figured being formal in a place such as this was probably the wisest move. She looked around and watched Josh get a hug and see people he knew, her attention returned to her Master. “Are they all part of the Republic?”

Faith knew that the political arena a place where even the most out of favor could dance and gain some moniker of respect for having taken the risk.

Faith moved over and nodded to the group standing with [member="Tobias Dracks"]. She heard the soft tenors timbre of Master [member="Vulpesen"] , “Good to see you Master Vulepesen.” She looked over to Kay’s husband, “Your Majesty [member="Veiere Arenais"] , yes let us hope that there are no more losses for anyone

There had been too many already. She looked at [member="Krest"] and nodded unsure of exactly what to say to him. It would seem her choice of companions for this meeting had been well chosen in [member="Riamah"] .

The conversation as always turned in many directions, “Alderaan has made no plans to join anyone currently. We are having internal discussions though.” It was then that she noticed [member="Jyoti Nooran"] of the Silver Jedi .

It would seem all the players were in one room.

“What plans does the Republic have for the future” She watched the King of Commenor head off for a drink. She could understand the need. Politicians were a peculiar breed and were an acquired taste.

Krest was about as out of place as a mushroom among a field of sand. He and the other officials present weren't even of the same materials. And he could feel their eyes. Not only did he stand out, but to a number of the Jedi he was familiar. His gaze traveled to [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] 's as he approached [member="Riamah"] and [member="Vulpesen"] . Too many faces he knew personally. Blue eyes traveled again around the room. [member="Coren Starchaser"] , [member="Jyoti Nooran"] , [member="Alexandra Feanor"] . Three Jedi Grandmasters. How long ago were they his number one enemy? His number one target?

Things change so quickly when you die.

Still, his focus snapped back to Riamah. The way she was looking at him.

"So, Ra, been a while since we worked together. How have you been?"

The Chancellor was really going to do well here. Coren felt that having the military background, and his way to deal with the bureaucrats. What he was hoping for was that it made the Senate not only a tower of senators leading from an ivory tower. If they have the connection to the military in their own ranks? It would be a good way to make sure the Republic ensured victory for itself. “Its not a bad call. Probably not what the Alliance would have done, but it works just as well.” The Jedi Master nodded. “That is fair. Keeping you on the focus for the election was important at the time. You will do well in this rank.”

“I’ll forward this onto Sovv and Admiral Stazi.” Mazik Stazi was one of the longest serving members of the Alliance fleet and was able to make just as many calls as Coren could with regard to the army. “I will see what forces that haven’t joined the Alliance in Exile in the Outer Rim may be looking for a home. And as always, you just give a call out to the Triumvirate and we’ll be at your doorstep with our fleets. The Republic is the leader of freedom and liberty now.” The Starchaser smiled. “And I will contact those needing a place to settle and give them the direction to contact the Senator.”

Looking back towards the other Jedi. “However, there are people I need to discuss a few things with. Chancellor, I hope that we’ll be in touch from here o out.” He saluted as he looked over towards [member="Jyoti Nooran"] and [member="Alexandra Feanor"]. Perhaps even [member="Veiere Arenais"], he did need to connect to that man as well, and get his people worked into the network of Jedi. But that was also when he heard the familiar name.

[member="Noah Corek"]. That old war horse was still out here? Good. It meant the Republic was in good hands. Even if he could sense a dark side presence in the area.

Time to speak to the other leaders of the Jedi.

Veiere had returned to follow in league with the former ways of his past Jedi life, that was true, though he knew not whether he could consider himself a true Jedi anymore with the mistakes he had made and the consequences that followed. The 'People' that typically surrounded the former Master most often tended to be rebels and renegade's fighting an up-hill battle against the Sith's imperialist ideals, the tyranny that had consumed many a nation. He had lost his former pacifism in the bid to do what he could for Commenor these days, and while he might not have been shaped in the same mold that was required of a Jedi, one beholden to an Order or Organization, this did not mean that he held nothing in common with them anymore. Quite the contrary, he would always support the Jedi, and in today's light where his mind was far more open to what being a Jedi stood to represent in the present state of Galactic Society, he hoped that he was less likely to offend as he once had in his younger days where he had held an air of arrogance about him built on the former traditions of the Enclave he had been brought up within. Such petty altercations with few but very significant faces within the Order of the Galactic Republic had been the price that he had paid for not knowing better. Ever constant, the path of learning, indeed.

Raising his glass to the Man whom served him a pleasantly cool ale, Veiere thanked him with a polite smile and nod before turning back to face the rest of the room and their occupants within. What future possibilities lay before him in the potential greeting of any number of these people, many were familiar to him by name, though fewer by face. [member="Krest"] had already seemed to find a friend of a sort, quite a surprise if he were honest; even Veiere had held his doubts over the former Sith Lord's loyalties, urged to trust the King of Iridonia by his Wife however.

Glancing once more to that of Faith Organa, they had little experience with each other though to not know who she was, would be as ignorant as forgetting the sector of the Galaxy that Commenor inhabited. The Free World's Coalition were Commenor's neighboring power in governance for such a long time, Veiere soon found himself wondering what had become of Alderaan following the Alliance's displacement. Had they suffered as his people were now? He hoped not for their sake. She had spoken right in repeating his previous remark, the destruction of Munto City, eight million souls lost in an instant...-Such a large price had already been paid, and yet he knew there would be more to come.

Swirling his glass in a circular motion, he continued to observe. His world no longer held the strength and number of surrounding nations under it's influence, thus making him a rather lesser importance among these men and women of greater political ambitions. His reason for attending had more or less been achieved already, coming to show his support and offer his best for the Republic's future, yet like Faith, he couldn't promise anything in the way of dedication on his part, especially not before peace had been restored to his Home-World.

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra smiled as Abigail quickly settled into a much more relaxed stance, leaving Alexandra to be the more uncomfortable one... or maybe Abigail was just as good at hiding it. The though had her looking at the young woman and turning to Abigail and helping her as a new set of eyes fix anything that was out of order with her appearance. She paused to smile as Abigail joked with her and mentioned that she had a knack for finding trouble. How true that was.

It was when she was helping to fix up anything Abigail had missed, that she heard the young woman's next set of words and the nervousness behind them. She looked at the girl before after a few secons smiled, providing something for Abigail to latch onto and focus on.

"I wouldn't think of leaving you to run off, no one here that I need to meet that you wont be more than welcome as well... infact." She looked past [member="Abigail Meredydd"], staring at the man who was looking for Alexandra and Jyoti. [member="Coren Starchaser"] was certainly interesting and someone that Alexandra thought would be a good model for another type of Jedi, one that Alexandra supported.

"It would seem one of my colleages are interested in a conversation, judging by the look on his face. Do you want to come with me to meet him and perhaps two others?" Her eyes flicked to [member="Jyoti Nooran"] and [member="Charlie Nooran"] before returning to Abigail and stepping back to look at her.

"If not, I think you would do just fine here, you look far better than I did when I wore that." She placed a hand on Abigail's shoulder for a moment before moving to meet Coren as he walked this way. If Abigail did join her, she would be quick to give Coren a bow of her head and introduce the young woman along with herself.

"Coren, a pleasure. You know me but this is my student, Abigail Meredydd." Alexandra would leave the decision to expand Abigail's connection up to the young woman, not wanting to overstep how much Abigail considered their connection.

As she expected Vulps was announced just after Faith had been. Her own presence was kept low, but that didn't mean her face was not unknown. Nodding when he approached her, she kept her face neutral. Considering the others present, this was probably a wise thing. While she was concerned Krest was here to kill her for leaving the sith and the assassins, he had yet to make it known.

"Pleasure to see you as well, Valde."

Sticking the situation and keeping it formal, Ra called him by his title instead of a more familiar nickname. She assumed he said her full name for similar reasons. No title was attached to it here and with Faith she was a merchant. Perhaps the queen had invited her along to give her more business options. Not having had the chance to ask the reason, it was the first thing she could think of.

When others arrived, her attention didn't falter much and remained divided between the group in front of her, Krest and only slightly on the new people. She had met Alexandra before and knew of her past with Vulps. Ra also knew how Vulps worked and knew he wouldn't do anything negative to her friend.

Listening to what Tobias was saying, it brought something to the mind of Ra. Before she had joined the Coalition, she had made business ties with the then fledgling Republic. Maybe it was time to remind them of that.

"Senator, it has been a good amount of time, but I already pledged to assist the Republic with mercantile needs. So if there is anything I able to assist with, please do not hesitate to contact me."

After that meeting there had been no further contact from them, but that line was always open if they needed anything. Since there had been no exchange yet between her and Veiere, when he excused himself, she barely gave him a nod. Her attention was soon taken by Josh as he approached her.

It was a good thing he did and it allowed her to draw her attention away from her worries about Krest. Her tone when she spoke was warm and she really was happy to have him there. If there was anybody that could keep her calm, it was this man. Both him and Vulps were like anchors to her and both of them were pretty much at her side right now.

"Good evening, Master DragonsFlame. It is a surprise to see you. I'm glad you could make it."

The sudden appearance of the girl from a previous mission was a surprise and Ra let go of Josh's hands when the girl hugged him. With a small wave back she shook her head slightly. Josh certainly did seem to collect interesting people around himself. Of course, the same could probably be said about her.

Her attention was drawn back to Faith when she started speaking to Vulps again and she wanted to correct her. He was a king in his right and she must have either forgotten it or never knew. Ra had just addressed him by his proper title, so maybe it would draw Faith's attention to her error. Not that it really mattered to her one way or the other. If it was a big deal to Vulps, he could correct her if he wanted to.

With her already having voiced her previous connection to the Republic, it might spur Alderaan into action to support these men and women. That was not something Ra could speak on though, not with the small role she played in the government with Faith. She was pleased Faith had decided to invite her to this gathering.

Waiting on an answer from the senator she was not aware she had drawn Krest's attention from before. When he spoke to her, her own attention snapped back to him. No longer was she a pawn of the sith, but that didn't mean he was not. He called her out in a way, but did not reveal anything to anybody.

Turning now to a man that could very well be here to kill her, she nodded with that calm facade. Inside though, she really felt the urge to just punch him in the face. It was because of his orders that she had ever been forced to join the sith. Given the choice of join them or die, well she had decided she wanted to live. This was not the place for such actions and she held herself back.

Under his hand, she had learned to be an assassin and had done a few missions with him. The work he implied in his statement. Her tone belied that anger she had at him and her face remained entirely neutral, even her eyes. There might be a slight stiffness in her body, but nothing more than that about her feelings.

"It has been quite some time since we last worked together. I have been well though. You look well. If you did not already know, I am no longer employed by the people we worked with before. Call it a change in direction or calling for me. Please excuse me, I feel I need a drink as well."

Unless anybody stopped her from leaving the small gathering, she would join Veiere in getting a drink.

Abigail stood as straight as possible while Alex helped her to get the last few imperfections out of her dress.

"Thanks Alex", she sweetly replied with a warm smile when they were done and ready to meet the others. Hearing Alex's words calmed her down a bit. Alex wasn't going to leave Abby, and Abby could just tag along for as long as she would like. Who knew, perhaps she would find someone to talk to on her own, but until she did, she would be there at [member="Alexandra Feanor"] 's side.

"I'll gladly meet them," Abigail replied," I still need to meet more people, as I'm still fairly new to most of them anyway."

While Abigail told herself that Alex just complemented her to make Abby feel better about herself and not because she actually looked good, she couldn't help but smile as Alex did so.

"I'm going to take your word on that", she almost giggled as she started following Alex.

Abigail too gave the man a polite bow as a greeting before she spoke. "As Alex said, I'm Abigail. It's nice to finally meet you, master Starchaser. I've heard a few things about you here and there, all good things, of course", she said as she shot Alex a quick look. Her mother seemed to have presented her as her student, not as her daughter. The question was why, though. Perhaps she was ashamed of her being her daughter? No, she had a pretty good relation with Alex by now. Perhaps it wasn't the right time to speak of such things? Could be, but was there ever really a right time for something like this? Another option would be that Alex gave Abigail the choice to decide whether or not to tell people. That... That was the most likely answer.

So.. would she tell him? Was it necessary for him to know right now? No, it wasn't, but there also was no use in keeping it secret forever. Or at least Abigail wasn't planning on doing that.

So she kind of wanted to tell him, but as she tried, she didn't come much further than, "And we're also... I'm Alex's ... uhm...". Her face turned slightly red as she both couldn't find the right words and if she did she found it odd to say. Her entire life she had been telling people she had no parents, and this was one of the first times she had to tell people she actually did have parents... apparently.

"Yeah, uhm. Nevermind", she then mumbled before giving [member="Coren Starchaser"] another smile.

She had no business in there. Her only job was to accompany master Jyoti, like that echani female needed any muscle to escort and watch her back for anything, she was worse than a Wookie, fast as a snake and deadly as a Trandoshan, her body still hurt just thinking about the last time the two trained together. While inside the yacht, the Arkania sat next to the window, while her sharp blue eye watched the cities of Carida from above, a planet once proud to serve the Galactic Empire in the Dark Days of Palpatine, now hosted this shadow of the Galactic Alliance, this New Republic. Close they were with the Silver Jedi, but she had doubts about all of this, doubts that she was in the right companion for the Jedi and the Grandmaster. In her nights, Jarael still had that dream, about a frozen world, about her old ship running out of fuel and she found herself forced to take shelter in a strange dark fortress made of black pitch stone, 'It felt oily to the touch...', her mind kept thinking in this dream, but the Arkanian had no memory of this event, she did not remembered any frozen world that she was in her life. Or was she? If she was, when? And why she didn't had any real memory of this except her dreams?

The droid had no memory of this, even the old ship had no information about this journey, so why did she still had this strange dream? She had no idea, sometimes she even had some doubts as to when or where she lost her other eye, her mind said it was during a fight in Skor against the First Order, but when she had no other memory of Skor and no idea as to why she didn't replaced the empty eye socket for a new eye and still used the eye patch. It worked all right, like a common eye, but she saw everything through the eye patch as the scan of a droid, red and blue targets with information about who they were or if they were her enemies or not.

'Almost like I'm a droid myself', she thought smiling, turning her attention to Master Jyoti as she walked behind her, dressed in those dark robes, clothes she still felt a bit awkward when she wore them. The Arkanian was used to her old rags and those were loaned to her by Old Narcid in the Praexum, they were clean and were a bit more fancy than she was used to, but still, they were different, like they didn't belonged to her. 'Humbug, Jarael, humbug, just do your job and pay attention', Belaerys said to herself inside her own mind, shaking her a bit to make those thoughts go away so she could focus. Looking around and noticing the many unknown faces to her, many that she never saw in her life.

Tha'ga Temi

Minister of External Affairs for Hapes
Tha’ga arrived late. To her, she had a good reason. She’d been back on Hapes studying medicine under her brother and taking criminal justice classes at night. Her foray into politics was fulfilling to a point, but she longed to help the galaxy more than any politician could. Others may say she was fashionably late or just rudely late. Either way, the redhead was not on time.

And then there had been a GAPS meeting prior to this - the Galaxy Alien Preservation Society which sounded much more xenophobic than it was. Across the cosmos races and species were being wiped out by war and famine and genocide. The optimistic Hapan sought to identify fragile species and help put together a plan to save them. In her tenure as a contributing member, GAPS had already lost track of 394 endangered races. There were no words. That was an unacceptable number.

Her red hair swept up in coiled braids, the Hapan politician, wearing a beaded multi colored gown, entered the main room and also went straight for the bar, ordering champagne. Tapping [member="Noah Corek"] on the shoulder, she asked, “How much have I missed?”

Faith did not know about the title that [member="Vulpesen"] held. She only her brother had made mention of many of the Jedi that he interacted with. For some reason that was how she remembered the name. He could correct her later and she would not be offended. She was not one to make such horrid mistakes her mind was elsewhere.

Faith stood quiet trying to focus on conversation. She however had something else on her mind, something she felt a strong need to do. She looked at Ra, "I'll return in a few moments, everyone" she smiled, "excuse me please."

Faith walked towards [member="Veiere Arenais"] she had never had a conversation with him and now presented an opportunity for her to do so. She smiled warmly as she approached, "King Arenais I don't think we have ever been introduced before tonight."

She extended her hand, "I'm Faith Organa of Alderaan." She dropped the titles she felt there were all shiney objects that many coveted but soon lost interest in when they realized exactly what it meant to bear such honors. Sometimes it was not an honor, it could be a curse.

She looked at him curiously so this was the man that stole Kay's heart.

Both [member="Riamah"] and [member="Faith Organa"] caught his eye, firstly for the fact that they were walking his away and away from the majority of peoples whom shared in the celebrations of the Republic's success, but also the latter for her approaching him and introducing herself, to which Veiere dipped his head out of respect for both her person, as well as her prominent position in the affairs of Alderaan. Yes indeed, he knew very well who she was, the public representatives of neighboring powers usually were easy to follow up on when there were times of such a demand from the media, the holonet doing all to make any ounce of their lives a public show, and scandal if it would sell.

"No, I don't believe so" Veiere replied, smiling politely in appreciation for her greeting and taking the time to speak with him; "Though your name was often spoken when our World's were in a much greater height of political affairs, Lady Organa" He chuckled softly, his brows raising and he giving a look that suggested such a thing wasn't always to be admired. A truth she was already privy to, no doubt. "It's a pleasure to finally speak in person however. You'll have to forgive me but my Wife was much more the face for these sorts of events..." Where as Veiere was often skeptical and had preferred to oversee the security and Militaristic side of the Systems Alliance despite his pacifist nature back then. It wasn't solely focused on other worlds, of course, but also to ensure that their own military didn't cross any unethical boundaries as most men of War were prone to doing.

"I'd imagine you're far more at home here than I..." He raised a glass in gesture of recognition to her before taking a brief sip and sparing the rest of the room his momentary attention, speaking further once he'd lowered his drink; "I felt it was my obligation to show Commenor's support to the Republic's future however, both for mine and my wife's past affiliation with the Galactic Republic that once called Yutan it's capital. The expansion regions deserve some good news for a change...-I'm sure you'd agree".

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] | [member="Josh DragonsFlame"] | [member="Noah Corek"] | [member="Coren Starchaser"] | [member="Jyoti Nooran"] | [member="Abigail Meredydd"] | [member="Alexandra Feanor"] | [member="Vulpesen"] | [member="Krest"] | [member="Riamah"] | [member="Faith Organa"] | [member="John Locke"]

"Actually the title would be V-" @Riamah's voice cut in, speaking Vulpesen's title. "Yes... that. Even in the force, Vulpesen would be known as an Arch Wilder, rather than a Master Jedi." The voice came from a man in an impeccably white suit, upon which the stencil of an eagle would be stitched on the back. Lucas Gracin, a fellow Zorren and Vulpesen's diplomatic advisor. His voice not quite chastising, but certainly informative as he faced [member="Faith Organa"]. Behind him, a grey tail would swish from side to side, and as Josh and Krest arrived, his eyes peered over them, then back to Vulpesen. The group, had quickly become far more crowded than he or his Valde had expected.

Thankfully, the red headed woman had a rather easy solution for the pair, walking over for another diplomatic meeting. Nodding slightly to Krest and the others, he turned to fall in step beside Riamah. "And I'm afraid that my duties require that we be rather tied. Lord Gracin, do your duty." With a nod from his Advisor, Vulpesen stepped in behind, staying close to her while speaking through the Ashlan bond. Looked like you just 'bout jumped out of your skin while you were talking to Krest, there. You didn't move that fast since we ran into that pack of Zipher. Standing by Ra as she made her way to the king, Vulpesen would call upon the force, bringing a pair of glasses into his hand, one of which he would offer the woman he had attached himself to. Another Royal to bring under your spell? Of course, the final question would be asked with more than a tinge of humor, the nature of communication thankfully avoiding any chance of her mistaking him as being serious.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present Jedi Knight Drystan Marakos, of the Silver Jedi Order!"
Moving in a languid, fluid manner, a blonde woman entered the ballroom.
Her hair was woven beautifully into a braid on one side of her head, while her golden locks flowed down her back & shoulders like a waterfall of woven gold. High cheekbones and a flawless complexion made her appear almost cherubic, and hazel eyes were alert and aware - a mark that the woman was no simple Jedi but a capable and wise member of The Order. From her shoulders, flowing down to the floor, she wore a stunning dress in the most regal sapphire blue which hugged her luscious curves - the athletic, toned body of a warrior.
She swept into the ballroom as-if she were born for parties such as this.. Lost in the moment as she admired the grandeur and scope of hall. In the background, a gentle waltz played, and the sounds of laughter & conversation blended together to form a haze of input. The smell of food, faint on the nostrils, mingled with a distant pop - someone had opened a bottle of champagne. Drystan closed her eyes and took a breath... then exhaled, stretching out with the Force, searching for her companions; [member="Jyoti Nooran"], [member="Josh DragonsFlame"], and [member="Charlie Nooran"] to name a few. She also recognized @Jarael Belaraes' presence but could not see her presently.
With a smile, the blonde Jedi Knight slipped into the crowd, finding her friends quickly... lifting a glass of champagne from a passing waiter with a charming smile. She moved like quicksilver, approaching Jyoti and Charlie. "Hello, friends." She said, once she'd reached them.
"Quite the soire."

It would seem both their reputations had preceded them into these celebrations. It was the way he tilted his head to her he knew who she was just as she knew him.

“Yes when our worlds represented freedom for anyone who wanted it, all it required was a bit of work.” She smiled softly if one could actually picture the softness of such a thing it required practice to forgo the stern looks of disappointment.

I understand completely. Draco hates these events it is why unless he is required he stays home. But I remember when Kay was always the face of Commenor and the under privileged" If she could have heard his thoughts about his duties and keeping men in line she would have understood this to.

They all walked around on political egg shells as the galaxy watched the peace lovers and waited for them to fail.

Yes this has become my forte to walk into parties, smile brightly, and have the pat answer ready for how is Alderaan. Yes the republic a rebirthing I.” she stopped. Her reservations getting the better of her the words formed and found freedom.

“When they were far in the expanse it was” she sighed, “probably safer for them and those they represent. As you are aware close to the core and war will inevitable find its way to your borders. Plus.” She had to say what she was thinking, “I wait and watch to see how they do. Not that we won’t support but the last organization to call itself Republic seem to be rotten at its core.”

As tray of glasses came by Faith reached out and plucked one, she loved a good glass of wine.

“How are things on Commenor?” Yes even she asked the question that most of them had the answers ready for, “And what can Alderaan do now to help?”
Parties were the perfect place to network. She had some resistance fighters that her son could bring a small group but it was something, better than nothing.

Tobias was interested at all the people that were willing to support the Republic in their new era. However, none had willingly offered to join the cause. Words were good and all in a world of Politics, but men, weapons, and resources were what he was really looking for. The only people around him that were left were [member="Riamah"], [member="Vulpesen"] and Krest. All seem to know one another, and the tension between them was rather apparent. Tobias had been a warrior all his life, and he did not need to be a force user to tell these individuals had a past that was best left buried.

The air heavy, he attempted to distract the tension. "Ra, correct?" He thought of the millions of data-files he read through as he came to office. "I do believe I had read something about that contract, and as it happens we could be in need of your assistance," He filed through his thoughts, "If I remember correctly you run a Merchant Fleet, we are currently using the United Trade Conglomerate to transport goods from the Unknown Region, however, their fleets destruction at the siege of Commenor has left them unable to keep up with our large demand of raw goods for our industries, if you would be willing to transport what our private and government industries require then you could take over what contracts they were unable to fulfill."

He was unfulfilled with the conversations with King [member="Veiere Arenais"] and Queen [member="Faith Organa"], being they were the literal symbols of freedom and light in the Core Worlds. This New Republic was attempting to be different from before, and Tobias worked diligently to make is so. No branch was at the top, the Senate balanced out the Judicial and the Chancellor, who also kept the Senate in check. As Vice Chancellor he was the 'Whip', making sure the best interest of the Republic and her planets were always the path of the Senate. The military was kept in check, and always served at the behest of the people. Corruption was pretty much nonexistent at this stage of the government, however, Tobias always had Republic Spies keeping an eye out for such things.

The current plan of the New Republic is to secure the Core Worlds from interference of the Outer Rim Terrors. Terrorist and agitators, as well as monsters created by the Sith still roamed the Core. The end of the Sith-Republic War was, in Tobias's mind, were the galaxy was no longer united in spirit. He wanted to bring that back. Revive a government that would stand up to the injustices of the galaxy, and ask for nothing in return. The Senate could authorize the 3rd and 4th Sector Armies to invade and take Coruscant tomorrow, however, that was not how they wanted to operate. Brentaal, Balmorra, and Neimoidia all offered to join the Republic, not one of them forced, blackmailed, or invaded to gain their industrial strength. Taking the nations that were before them, The Galactic Republic, The Free Worlds Coalition, The Commenor Systems Alliance, and The Galactic Alliance, Tobias would take the best of their concepts and create a new nation that would stand above the rest. This nations they all hoped for would bring about an Era of Enlightenment.

However, the players that could help make that dream come true had left him. He was still new to the playing field, however, he already had plans to increase his reputation. Instead he turned to [member="Krest"], "I was wondering if we could have a moment to speak alone for a moment sir, I had received a message and was wondering if you could help me with the situation?"

Krest watched in silence as [member="Riamah"] stepped away, though he couldn't help but chuckle as he watched [member="Vulpesen"] follow shortly after like a puppy afraid to leave their master's side. If it truly was the worst case scenario and Ra was still working alongside the Assassins, then the Valde had been played rather well. He couldn't help but admire that possibility as the creator and teacher of the Sith Assassins.

But, her words still rang through his head. In her haste to leave the civil confrontation she had admitted she was no longer Sith, indirectly of course. Last thing someone wanted to say in a room filled with the various Jedi Order Grandmasters was they were Sith at one time or another. His blue gaze watched her as she disappeared into the crowd near the bar, idly scratching his chin as he mulled over the possibility that, perhaps, she truly wasn't Sith.

Would certainly make him feel rather rude for suggesting as such.

Such thoughts were interrupted as [member="Tobias Dracks"] once again spoke to him. Having assumed that Iridonia, so far from the core, wasn't worth the Vice Chancellor's or the Republic's time he had resigned to a background character, to support [member="Veiere Arenais"] and Commenor on their quest to gain more allies for the coming rebellion. A bemused smile took the giant Zabrak's features as he turned to Tobias, bending his head in a slight bow.

"I suppose I have the time. I did not come here to represent my people or my kingdom, but I'd feel rather dishonorable to turn down a request for help from another. What seems to be the situation?" Krest certainly did his best to roll with the punches to his title and status. From King to Master, and now from Master to Sir. Even as he did his best to hide that annoyance his eyebrow twitched at the thought of any further demotion.

Before Ra had actually taken more than two or three steps away Tobias stopped her. Wanting almost nothing more than to be as far away from Krest as she could logically be in the same room, she listened to what he mentioned and nodded.

"You are correct."

Taking over what this other company couldn't fulfill was certainly of interest.

"Senator, perhaps after this gathering concludes we can rekindle the ties that were established back then. Excuse me, please do not hesitate to contact me for your future needs. I'm sure we can come to an agreement."

Falling silent, she heard he wished to speak with Krest and she was more than happy to allow that conversation to happen without her being present.

Do you remember when we met? I told you I had been given the choice by the sith that approached me on joining them or dying? Well it was was by his order that assassin was sent after me. So yeah I'd rather avoid talking to him.

Still slightly bristling with anger, she moved away from the senator and Krest to go find the drink she felt she needed.

Seeing the Chancellor step up to speak with Riamah brought a smile to Vulpesen's lips. She was certainly moving up in the galaxy to have caught the attention of a leader like this. Though for now, Vulpesen remained silently by her side, taking a sip from his drink while the politician spoke. Truth be told, there was a slight pang of jealousy as he watched the exchange. He couldn't quite remember a time that such a contract had fallen so easily into his lap.

When his companion's concerns passed through his mind, Vulpesen offered a near imperceptible nod before responding. I'm aware of his past. We used to be enemies. We fought, he hit me with a tree, I blasted his chest with the force. We're good now. Seeing the woman's eyes wander to the drinks, the valde chuckled softly and tapped her shoulder with his tail, clearing his throat slightly as he did so. Assuming that she'd turn to face him, he'd offer one of the two glasses he'd picked up earlier. "I do like to drink. But I'm not that dependent."

The meeting of the galaxies more influential nations and orders were starting to connect positively with the leaders mingling. The most interesting grouping was [member="Alexandra Feanor"] and [member="Coren Starchaser"], Grandmasters of the Republic and Alliance Enclaves or the Remnants of the Jedi Order. Something that was really be interesting and possibly increase moral in the Core Worlds. However, in the mind of the Vice Chancellor was that if there was ever light in the galaxy, a shadow was always casted near by. The Republic could not withstand large forces, but it was also the crumbling of the foundation that they also needed to keep an eye out. Larger nations then themselves had fallen to such things, and he would not allow the same thing to happen.

Right now though, his attention was brought currently to King @Krest. He knew who the man was, after speaking with Queen Kay he made it his top priority to find the cause of the Sith sending a fleet to Commenor and his name was mentioned in the report. It was found that this man was a great threat to the Sith Imperials, though the reasons were murky, many Sith preferred to conquer the Outer Rim then the world he protected. Seeing him tonight, walking in with King [member="Veiere Arenais"] it only cemented the mans imagination into facts.

Taking the man aside, he swiped up a glass of whisky with thick ice in it. He made sure to take the man far away from others and looked to two Senate Guards that walked off to block anyone from interrupting them. "I appreciate your willingness to talk, however I would like to be frank with you, the New Republic has been in contact with the Queen of Commenor and it is my belief that you have allied yourself with the King in freeing the planet, you do not have to say a thing to confirm or deny my suppositions, but I have made a promise to the Queen and my citizens that the Sith would not have a foothold in the Core Worlds, and should the King of Commenor or of Iridonia ever need the assistance of the Republic I can promise the full support of our nations without any strings attached," He took a large gulp of the whiskey without making a face or any signs of pain, "Even if it means I whip those senators into line to keep the people I cant protect, protected."
