Looking for the woman bidding against him, then winking slightly, he added forty shock collars to his bid. Was it in any way, shape, or form a good idea? Probably not. Had it seemed like an entertaining idea when it struck him? Absolutely.

Just as he was about to send the bid, he noticed another coming in. Ah, besieged on all fronts, huh? Not a surprise, considering just how wide a net he had cast. Oh well, he would stick with some of them a while longer, even M6. His bid hadn't gone through the first time, so he might as well have some fun along the way.

Finally, almost as an afterthought, he threw in an open bid for an item or items of his own making for M12. He doubted it would be enough to beat tutoring from a Master, him being a mere Acolyte, but you never knew. If he was lucky, the person behind the Lot might have a distaste for Jedi. Chuckling slight under his breath, he prepared to press the button to finally send his bid...

... only to find that all his technology bids had already been outmatched by one Cal Sedaire. Well, well. It would seem they had a bidding war on their hands.

Though the bidding was getting slightly too rich for her memory-soup filled blood, the Anzati kept going, swept up in the anticipation of actually winning something. Typing up a message to only those bidding against her, Cim wrote:

"Lot L, 80,000 credits and the deed to a large and profitable Kyrf Plantation on the planet of Korbin (you just have to wrest control from the First Order)."

Arador eyeballs the list of current bids up for grabs, his finger flicking through the list on his datapad as he was humming an odd yet unsettling tune. The vocoded hum was eerie enough to make a few nearby bidders move away, unsure of whether Arador may or may not be a bit mentally unstable, and for good reason too. He'd lean back in his seat as he continued to keep an eye on the bids, enjoying the conversations between angry bidders as they continued to one up one another.

"Lot M14 - * if you win this prepare to maybe die."​

Voracitos was not exactly one keen on seeking out methods through which he would meet his demise, but he was thoroughly invested in finding sources of great power... and anything that might have the potential to kill him was rather interesting. Given that all lots in this "mystery auction" were an unknown, this small bit of information was useful in determining whether or not it interested him. Voracitos did not deal in chances, but was capable of gambling so long as he had collateral to collect his losses.

To this end, the Coven of Gluttony served as excellent collateral damage that would never directly harm him, as such a servant of the Coven of Gluttony would bid for him at this peculiar auction, hoping for an opportunity to score an interesting artifact, or otherwise something dangerously useful or valuable for the Coven to collect.

The bid was simple, a monetary value of 100,000 credits with the following message inscribed:

One favor to be completed by the Coven of Gluttony, in the service of the Lord of Gluttony, Darth Voracitos himself.

Thraxis rolled his eye's, a jovial smile at the response, it was an Auction. Who was he to complain if other's tried to up him? Of course. Something bad brewed in M14. The list was updated and... There were either three people in a bidding war so all claimants could know. Or there were more than one of these things. A few drops of sweat-powered down the course of his cavernous face, wiping it off with a cold brew and snapping his fingers a few time in both joy and worry.

It seemed he had been at least comfortably seated as getting one before something big arrived. Emphasis on big, though with his weight he expected a sense of... weight? A bad pun, but in the sense of gravitas which isn't doing any good for me. He was missing an attribute of the living of which one might define as weight, in the same way, that when someone arrives the whole room feels heavier as opposed to weight as in he is a tub of chubby-chubby lard. That sort of weight.

Thraxis looked him over, took his head away and looked at the bidding pool before seeing his bid come up. He sighed a little, a waved gesture as he pulled out his garage of knick-knacks. He was quickly being out better here, a day in a company seemed to be worth a thousand toys and he was starting to wonder if M14 was becoming worth the trouble. "Right. One Hundred and Ten Thousand Credits.... A... Uh... Sleheryon Bow, yeah that's still there. Limited and all that. Ahh.... Oh, a Tazi Plasma Rifle, MK I. Can't get those anymore. Three Eternity Droid guardian System's, a Lava Crystal and Five Crates of Knuur." He finished up, it was a hefty bid and under his breath, he muttered curses and a tirade of annoyance. This whole thing better has been worth it. Though, he is starting to think maybe the Danger was added their just to make people bid on it and all he was getting was a Bar of Scat and a welcome mat.

However, there was one loose advantage of multiple prizes. He saw it when he went over M1. To see both him and Matsu were in the running. Maybe it wasn't a matter of multiple people competing so everyone knew the prizes. He tapped thorough his Comm, a final gesture to the net as much as he could in the Miscellaneous section. Though a bit unorthodox and not sure if it was possible he finished up, "Five Thousand Credit's on every Miscellaneous Section, however only on the ones still with free slots. If it is all taken, not a penny to drop on them." He had the credit's for sure. He was a sole proprietor of thing's he was barely aware of.

More bids came in on the lots that Gray was going after. As he listened to what was being offered, he had to really think about what all he was willing to bid. This was a mystery auction after all and for all he knew they were bidding on duraplast models of nerf poodoo here. Finally making up his mind, Gray moved things forward.

Scrambling Domino placed her last bids. Once again she was sticking with her strategy of shooting at the cheaper stuff. She also found herself bidding on one of the miscellaneous lots, which is where a lemon would most likely be if there was one. And knowing Danger and some certain items belonging to her former apprentice that she'd put up herself, the host wasn't above letting a few slip through.

Velok sucked his tusks absentmindedly and finished his latest round of copy/pasting, or thought he had.

<<Here, Grandsire, let me help you with that.>> A much larger, much younger Whiphid took out his earphones. Some kind of upbeat human music assaulted the immediate vicinity. Velok the Youngest tweaked something about the datapad - Velok the Younger couldn't have told you what - and handed it back to his grandfather. It worked much more easily. Velok couldn't put his claw on the difference.

Voracitos was no stranger to auctions... or perhaps he was, to the public ones at least. While monetary value was of little to no object to him, anything barter-able by him he was willing to part with was few and far between.

The Coven member was aware of this, and while betting on his master's behalf, hoping beyond he could make a bid that would stick under the pressure of gambling businessmen after the same thing he was, he began to frown. As a devoted and mindlessly loyal member of the Coven, he had expected the name drop of his master would be enough to deter any further betting. He was sorely wrong, as he watched competing bids redouble their efforts to acquire the mysteriously dangerous Lot M14. Just as they were beginning to wonder whether or not it was even worth it, he too began to wonder whether or not his Master would even care if he acquired the item of potential value. If he bid more substantially and the return was not at least equally substantial, it could be the end of him, consumed by the Lord of Gluttony. As much of an honor that would be to join the presence of Voracitos in his voracious hunger, he desired more to live longer so as to be of greater service to his master, than as one of countless but ultimately worthless meals.

There was of course, the dark side artifact acquired on Oricon which attracted and created sithspawn over time, as well as pacified them to the holder of said artifact. Then there was the three Leviathan's collected from Corbos, one of which was a breeding pair. The artifact was out of the question, as while it held instructions for how to construct one, the artifact itself was their only stable relic. The breeding pair of Leviathan's could most certainly produce eggs, which could be of considerable value, and if the third one has no other use, he could request parts of it upon its dissection, which could fetch considerable amounts.

If the Coven Member could negotiate receiving the instructions for the Beast Relic, and perhaps a couple of Leviathan eggs with a side of Leviathan "steak", then perhaps the bid could be secured. Yet, if he were to do all of that, there was little guarantee he would receive a similar payout, and without those guarantees, he would not even bother attempting to negotiating such valuable knowledge or items. Instead, he would make the potential services of the Coven of Gluttony more generally broad, so that if the bid was won, a more thorough negotiation could be had. And if not, he would not waste valuable time negotiating hefty resources of the Coven for something which may not even interest them. Time not wasted, is his own life saved.

The newest bid by [member="Darth Voracitos"] was interesting on many levels. It held a favor, a chance to meet with the Coven, and the potential for Sith artifacts and resources. That was a very tempting thing indeed, but it also was a huge gamble. It was nothing more than a chance to gain potential riches. In essence, they had bid a treasure map. Would the owner of the mystery item roll that dice or go for a sure thing? It was not something Gray could say for sure, but he was now in his own game with the other bidders. Time to up the pot and see if anyone was willing to fold.

Kurt didn't change any of his bids. Mostly because he couldn't afford to.

He definitely didn't have the money that some of these other people did, and he definitely didn't have...defense satellites to trade away? Holy shit these people were serious. The former Courier scrunched his face for a few seconds, considering withdrawing entirely for a moment. If these people were trading in military weapons to try and win auctions then maybe it wasn't the best idea to go around challenging them for this stuff. His fingers fidgeted, and then he shrugged.

There was no point in backing down now.

A shrug rolled over his shoulders. He wasn't going to give up just because of a few dangerous situations, not when the rewards could be so grand. Instead the former Courier leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. He was still waiting on permission to take off, and the auction was slated to close out in just a little while.

He still had time to see if he won anything, though really he kind of doubted it.

She made a face as she studied the readout before her. Tt. A Meyer drive, hm? There simply wasn’t much she had at her immediate disposal that could rival that. If the owner of M4 was technically inclined as she was, they wouldn’t be able to pass up the opportunity of taking a look under the hood of that one.

Her other lots were slowly slipping away from her, too. Thankfully one only by credits, the other… Karkin’ masters.

She hesitated for an awkward second. Long enough to catch the equally awkward wave of one of the fellow patrons, but not long enough to formulate a response that went beyond a look of puzzlement. The kind that sat somewhere between the confusion of a homeless person discovering themselves on house arrest and a strill eating a Toydarian hard toffee.

Guess Cerita wasn't kidding. These auctions attracted all types.

She shook her head and turned her gaze back down to her datapad, tapping away and updating her bids.
