The arena above roared with different voices and sounds as she passed off another fistful of credits to get a guard to shut up.

The sounds echoing through the halls as Niki slipped away from the large gathering and began following the limited mapping she had done earlier. Accessing the cache she had brought along with her sponsored fighter.

Breaking away from the main event to fulfill her own hunger for the unknown as each step forward resounded with a clack against the stone.

Avoiding the limited patrols that kept vigil in the hallways until she had reached a locked down door that no doubt led down instead of anywhere the hosts wanted people to go. The ruins below hopefully not entirely picked clean by the numerous bodies that it had no doubt visited to do much the same as herself.

The Force was both mystery and hyper cataloged phenomenon.

Understood by those with an inherently heightened connection to what apparently existed within all things in the galaxy. But if all things held some measure of this mysterious power, why was it such a difficult thing for science to take proper measure of?

At least in a way that Niki would consider proper.

Science was an absolute that was consistently refuted by this absolute and unknown factor. But simultaneously it verified the certainty of the science she clung to.

Even her own limited experiences with those being capable of wielding this power caused her thoughts to become convoluted and difficult to properly explain or rationalize.

But a chance to visit this place again without being invited openly would no doubt be far in the future.

The door finally unlocked after a few probing moments of slicing. Leaning as casually as a woman as geared up as she could manage in a building no doubt owned by a people who made their living through alternative means that tended to shy away from the law. Which meant she didn't feel terrible about attempting to steal something from a ruin that they had built a building atop of.

It wasn't so long ago that she was working against what most would have considered the law of the galaxy.

Stepping inside the doorway and closing it behind her as her eyes attempted to adjust to the dim lighting she walked into. Blinking a few times before reaching behind her left ear to engage the augment in her eyes.

The sunbright glow near instant as her vision bloomed with forced detail.

Dust. Rocks. A cavern that bore the clear signs of eons of pillaging.

"Every once in a while, both suns shine on a womp rat's tail." Niki reminded herself.

Revy was clipped to a single point sling, resting against her chest armor as she began to slowly walk forward. Listening as she slowly examined everything around her.

Cobwebs and shadows the only thing greeting her initially.

A hand reaching for a yellow viper in her coat pocket and preparing to light it once she'd placed it in her mouth.

The crowd was a blessing; it meant that the spy could hide in plain sight. She waited and flipped through the mission briefing, faces and names that she couldn't care less about. It wasn't until she found one. Sitting up, Allyson glossed over the dossier and smirked. Businesswoman, tight-lipped, somewhat attractive…

From the corner of her eye, she watched as the woman shifted through the crowd and paid off a guard. Allyson's interest was piqued. It wasn't every day the head of some big corporation was on her list of interesting people. Particularly now that she was forced to work just Sith-oriented jobs. It was the annoyance of actually having an allegiance somewhere.

Maybe once the regime changed, she'd find her way into a more lucrative open market.

Though she did enjoy the infamy she got for working as the Emperor's Hand.

Standing, she weaved through the crowd carefully, not touching anyone as she did. The back of Niki's head was her focal point, which made her pretty easy to spot in the crowd. The woman had striking features — a common perk of success.

As the crowd thinned, Allyson slipped easily into the Force. No longer seen or felt, for all she knew, Niki was a hidden sensitive. Those were the most annoying on missions. Though as she moved, it seemed Niki didn't sense her at all.

The Corellian smirked and continued to follow, watching her work her way through the slicing and whatever other obstacles that got in her way. Allyson wondered if she should help, but it was always fun seeing someone do it the 'real' way.

As they traveled further, they were now alone. She waited for the perfect timing. Right as Niki stuck the yellow viper into her mouth. Moving behind her, Allyson prepared herself for an attack — typically it happened when she snuck up on people.

Grinning, she leaned in at least close enough to let her voice carry just slightly to the woman's ear.

"You know," she started as she faded out of the force camouflage, "those things can kill you."

She leaned back, a hand prepared to deflect any attack, but the Corellian for the most part remained unarmed — her signature bow still attached at the back and the quiver at her side still empty.

The Viper was no sooner lit than the one using the Force around her appeared.

The pendant Keyring red hot against her hip. And the warning taken with caution as a potential ally given they hadn't acted. Or problem waiting to happen. Her custom pistol, Revy, was leveled at the source of the sound with speed. Leaving the safety on for the moment as her eyes adjusted to spy the new face beside her.

A second of processing had her squinting at the somehow familiar face.

Taking a solid drag to keep the viper lit as she exhaled.

"We are combustion engines with a set operating life cycle. I'm just accelerating the process for a bit of reprieve." The pistol still leveled as she fully turned to examine the woman beside her.

"I know your face from somewhere–but." The viper pulled from her lips as the giggledust spice began to work.

A smirk appearing as she tilted her head and looked Allyson up and down a little more. "Could be my imagination being hopeful."

Another drag had Revy tipped down in a resting position as Niki took a relaxed stance. Looking around the room slowly before turning back to Allyson.

"Join me for a bit of hopeful looking? The arena was fun, but I have other interests." Waving the viper around the decrepit and largely empty cave.

The gun leveled at her face only made the Corellian grin. Her eyes looked carefully, seeing that the safety was still maintained. That only made Allyson chuckle. Her life wasn't in danger, and even if it was, that's what made the job thrilling. She casually put her hands up, feigning surrender as she laughed softly once more.

"Ah, speaking in terms of mechanics," Her hands covered her heart as she let her features soften into a look of love and longing. "A woman after my own heart."

Her fingers tapped lightly over her heart, mimicking its steady rhythm.

The gun lowered, and Allyson took a small step, invading just slightly the personal space of the Entrepreneur.

"I just have one of those faces, but" she mused, catching the way the woman glanced at her. "Maybe tonight your imagination's hope could be well placed." The Corellian shrugged, taking a step back to allow distance between them. She wasn't here to press her luck. Niki was a known sharpshooter — and while Allyson had the Force, a clean shot and dumb luck could still win the day.

She followed Niki's gaze as she looked around the room. She wasn't quite sure what the woman was looking for, but it must be something vital for her to do on her own. From what Allyson had learned from these CEOs, they preferred to hire people like her to find the items they desired most.

It was curious and somewhat dangerous for someone like Niki to wander around unguarded.

"Oh?" Allyson was slightly taken aback by the invitation. Perhaps she did want someone to watch over her.

"Hopeful looking?" Allyson once more took in the room.

"Yeah, this is probably better than the arena, I feel like once you've seen one, you've seen 'em all." The Corellian laughed, placing her hands into her jacket pockets.

"What are you looking for by the way?" She figured it couldn't hurt to know a bit more — Niki's dossier was bland, and she had time to kill.

"By chance, did you catch the Kaggath tournament? That burly woman Mercy Mercy won, didn't surprise me too much."
