DESCRIPTION

The Eclipse is essentially a small, low-powered holoprojector connected to an electronic molecular excitation net (EME) that is embedded into a piece of jewelry, most commonly a wearable ring. When activated, the Eclipse produces a series of custom designed light shapes on the body used to alter the wearer’s appearance. While the Eclipse can highlight and accentuate the wearer’s more attractive attributes, it can also subtly adjust the positioning and shape of their features as well as the cadence of their voice to enhance their charisma and attractiveness. Using the Eclipse, the wearer can tweak the shape of their face and facial features, the color of their eyes, and the color, texture and tone of their skin.

It is important to note that these changes are not significant—the holoprojector embedded into the ring is not built to handle heavy alterations. Skin coloration will not change drastically with use of this device—for example, someone with peach skin cannot suddenly turn bright green. However, they can add a green tint to their skin. Eye coloration, by contrast, can be changed to include a wide range of colors given that a smaller area needs to be covered. Facial changes can include the subtle narrowing and broadening of certain features, such as the nose, eyes, mouth, cheek bones and chin. Bodily enhancements include greater muscle definition or the enhancement of curvy features. The ability to change one's features lies with the user programming the projections into the device, given that the need to be able to balance the projector’s low power with the alterations they desire. A skilled user may be able to render their natural face unrecognizable through subtle manipulation of certain features. Once the light shapes are programmed into the Eclipse, they will not change unless they are updated manually. There is no cycle feature allowing the user to flip through different projections. The Eclipse is suitable for both espionage work and anyone who likes to make a public appearance.

The Eclipse can run consistently for up to a week, after which it needs a three day charge period.
