  • Canon Link: None
  • Permissions: None
  • Primary Source: None
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: One of the Hutt cartels, specifically the Bryn'adul-exterminated Jedrass Clan
  • Affiliation: Rare but found across the galactic underworld
  • Market Status: Open market
  • Model: Jubbagrappa
  • Modularity: The injectable substance can be swapped out using basic tools.
  • Production: Semi-unique
  • Material: Duraplast, alusteel, molecular stiletto contact injector (requires replacement after each use)
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Injector
  • Size: Extremely small
  • Weight: Extremely light
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Molecular stiletto contact injector (length/depth 2cm)
STRENGTHS
  • Can inject paralytic, anesthetic, or even lethal substances through virtually any armor (e.g. anything that resists blades/needles/shrapnel with a resistance level of Very High or lower).
  • Using it is unlikely to attract attention, makes no sound, etc.
  • Very low sensor profile, does not register as a weapon on most relevant scanners.
  • Extremely concealable.
  • Can contain whatever injectable substance needs to be injected into any given species to produce any given effect.
  • Molecular stiletto tip is recessed (in a housing that collapses/retracts on firm straight-on contact) to prevent accidental grazing contact.
  • Doesn't look like a weapon. A comm badge maybe? Makeup applicator? Vape pen?
WEAKNESSES
  • Zero range, melee only.
  • Requires firm straight-on (not grazing) contact.
  • Cannot inject deeper than 2 centimeters. Thick clothes over plate armor may foil the injection.
  • Molecular stiletto tip has a very good chance of breaking with each use, and almost always requires replacement after one use.
  • Molecular stiletto tip may break if the weapon gets hit, if the user gets thrown against a wall, if a Herglic belches nearby, etc. Extremely fragile.
DESCRIPTION
A Hutt Cartel kidnap jabber — jubbagrappa — is the very quintessence of what it says on the tin. They aren't manufactured anymore. A few kidnap artists and assassins favor them, but otherwise they're a collector's item these days.

Jerec Asyr happened to obtain a few of them during a grocery run to Nar Shaddaa, which is approximately how anyone gets their hands on a jubbagrappa. Jerec carries one to protests that have a chance of turning violent should CorpSec crack down: more than once, the corpos have failed to recognize his kidnap jabber as a weapon.

Not a bad tool for a man in the used-starship-of-dubious-provenance business, either.
